Finding

A South African financial services provider authorisation that exists, but the FSCA register records FSP 55001 in the name of Bifu Markets (Pty) Ltd. A name search for Decode on the same register returns no results, so no Decode company is an authorised financial services provider in South Africa. Bifu publishes the same credential set as DecodeFX, including the Vanuatu number, which points to a shared-brand arrangement rather than a Decode licence. Client protection: None for DecodeFX clients. The authorisation belongs to another company, so a South African client cannot verify Decode with their own regulator..

Most Popular Questions

Yes. A demo account can be opened from the client portal and is recommended by the broker for traders new to its platforms.

It carries the same instruments as a live account without risking real funds.

Not automatically. The broker states that negative balance protection is not provided as standard on MetaTrader 4 accounts and is considered case by case.

That means losses can in principle exceed the deposited balance, which is worth weighing before using high leverage.

The site states that it cannot open accounts for or provide services to residents of the United States, Australia, Canada or North Korea, and that the list may change at any time.

Note that Australia appears on that list even though the group holds an Australian licence, so the Australian entity's services are not offered to retail clients through this brand.

The options depend on your region. Wire transfer in USD and USDT are offered almost everywhere, with UnionPay and WeChat Pay in China, FasaPay and PayTrust in Indonesia, PayTrust in Malaysia and Vietnam, Dragonpay in the Philippines and Paypaid in Thailand.

The broker says the list changes over time, so the methods actually open to an account are the ones shown in its client portal.

Deposits are free of broker fees, but several withdrawal methods are not. The published schedule charges 1.5 percent on UnionPay, WeChat Pay, PayTrust and Paypaid, 2 percent on Dragonpay, a 10 USDT per lot gas fee on USDT, and nothing on FasaPay or USD wire transfer apart from a 1 percent handling fee on cross currency withdrawals.

A USD 100 minimum applies to USDT deposits and withdrawals.

It depends on the method. Bank wire withdrawals take three to seven working days, crypto withdrawals are processed instantly after approval, and third party payment gateways are usually completed within 24 hours of approval.

Withdrawals are requested from the client portal under the money section.

More than 1,000 instruments are offered, all as contracts for difference: forex, precious metals, energies, indices, cryptocurrencies and shares.

Trading a CFD does not give ownership of the underlying asset, which the broker states plainly in its own risk warning.

Support is available around the clock by email at support@decodefx.com and through the live chat window on the contact page. The site states that the customer support team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

There is also a help centre and an FAQ library, plus official Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube channels. No client telephone number is published on the current contact page.

Decode Global Limited offers a maximum leverage of up to 500. This allows traders to control larger positions with a smaller amount of capital.

The minimum deposit is USD 100 for the STD and PRO accounts and USD 1 for the CENT account. USDT deposits and withdrawals carry their own USD 100 minimum.

The maximum deposit depends on the payment method selected in the client portal.

MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and the broker's own DecodeFX app are offered. MetaTrader is available on desktop, web and mobile, and both versions are free to download.

MetaTrader 4 is presented as the simpler CFD platform, while MetaTrader 5 adds multi asset trading, more timeframes, more order types and an economic calendar.

Yes, Decode Global Limited is regulated by the Australia Securities & Investment Commission (ASIC) and the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC). ASIC is a tier 1 onshore regulator, while VFSC is an offshore regulator with lower regulatory ratings.
Licence 55001 was issued by Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA), the financial authority for South Africa.
DecodeFX holds this FSCA licence. A licence on record means the authority published an entry; it is not an endorsement.
We located this entry on the FSCA register. Note that confirming a register ENTRY is not the same as confirming a live licence — the register’s own wording on this page is what states its current standing.
Wikilix rates FSCA tier 2: a well-established regime with real supervision, usually with lower compensation limits than a tier-1 authority.
Yes, FSCA is classed as an offshore regime. That can be a legitimate registration, but it usually means lower capital requirements, no compensation scheme, and a complaint route that is harder to use from abroad.
This page links straight to the FSCA register. Search it for 55001, and for the name DecodeFX rather than the trading brand.
