Is DH a scam?

Likely scamMEDIUM confidence
Updated September 21, 2026
Unlicensed forex & 'trader-assessment' managed-account scheme

DH (金融科技联合社 / 鼎汇皓鑫, dbd168.com) appears to be a scam. We found no sign it is a legitimate, licensed broker, and we assess the risk of fraud as high. It runs an unlicensed foreign-exchange and 'managed account' operation aimed at mainland China, where retail margin forex trading is not permitted.

  • It holds no financial licence. The only registrations are a website filing and a vocational training certificate, and neither is financial regulation.
  • The operating company is a small 'investment consulting' firm whose licence expressly excludes securities, finance and futures, yet it trades forex, futures, metals and crypto and claims to manage over USD 106 million of client money.
  • Its scheme recruits people as 'traders', lets them practise on its own software, then pushes them to deposit their own money into accounts that grow from USD 10,000 to USD 100,000 and more; an independent discussion calls this mostly deceptive.
  • China's market regulator has flagged the company on its business-abnormality high-risk list.
  • It is long-running (company since 2010, website since 2016), so this is a persistent operation, not a throwaway site.

Risk scorecard

Each area is scored 0 (clean) to 10 (worst). Higher means more risk.

Worst area: High
SeverityLowModerateHighCritical

Regulation

7/10 · High

No financial licence anywhere; retail forex is not licensable in mainland China, and the operating entity's registered scope excludes finance. Only a website filing and a training certificate exist.

Identity & transparency

7/10 · High

Presents as a national 'group' managing USD 106M with 33 branches, but the real entity is a single RMB 500,000 consulting micro-enterprise, flagged abnormal, with no registered address disclosed on the site.

Withdrawals & conduct

5/10 · Moderate

Fund-integrity concern from an escalating-deposit funnel, self-admitted serious losses in managed accounts and one independent 'mostly deceptive' account, but no confirmed multi-platform withdrawal-theft pattern with amounts and dates.

Reputation

6/10 · High

A third-party directory scores it near the bottom and independent commentary is negative; no independent positive reviews and no regulator warning were found.

Website claims

7/10 · High

Overstates its scale, promotes products banned for Chinese retail clients, and claims unnamed 'partnerships with world-leading brokers'; the 'since 2010' age claim is however truthful.

Operational history

6/10 · High

Genuinely long-running: company incorporated 2010 and website since 2016 (about ten years), so this is not a fresh operation.

Who they are

A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.

  • Brand: DH (Chinese 鼎汇 / 鼎汇皓鑫), trading as '金融科技联合社', a self-styled 'financial technology union'.
  • Legal entity: 广西南宁鼎邦达投资咨询有限公司 (Guangxi Nanning Dingbangda Investment Consulting Co., Ltd.), an investment-consulting micro-enterprise; legal representative 陈水来; registered capital RMB 500,000.
  • Registered: Nanning, Guangxi, China. Incorporated 31 May 2010.
  • Website: dbd168.com, registered June 2016.
  • Only credentials shown: a Chinese ICP website filing (桂ICP备16010754) and a vocational 'Forex Investment Analyst' training certificate. Neither is a financial licence.
  • Offers: margin trading in forex, gold, silver, crude oil, stock indices and Bitcoin on MT4, plus 'managed accounts' and a 'trader assessment / operator' recruitment scheme.
  • Not accepted: no restricted-country list is published; it markets to mainland Chinese residents, for whom retail margin forex is banned.
  • Age claim: 'since 2010', which matches the company's real 2010 incorporation date.

Regulation

No proof found

Proof of regulation on an official register: No

We could not confirm this broker on any genuine regulator’s register.

Licences the broker publishes

China MIIT ICP website filing (桂ICP备16010754)

VerifiedNot a forex licenceLimited relevance
A Chinese website content-provider filing (ICP). It permits running a website in China. It is not a financial or trading licence and gives investors no protection.
Protection: None. It is a website permit, not financial regulation.

China Association of Employee Education and Vocational Training (中国职工教育和职业培训协会) 'Forex Investment Analyst' certificate

VerifiedNot a forex licenceLimited relevance
A cooperation to run a vocational 'Forex Investment Analyst' training certificate. It is a training credential from an industry association, not a financial regulator, and authorises nothing in trading or money management.
Protection: None. It is a training certificate, not financial regulation.

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

We rate DH a likely scam because it operates an unlicensed and, in its home market, unlawful financial business, and the way it is built and marketed points to deception rather than a genuine service.

  • It holds no financial licence. Mainland China does not license retail margin foreign-exchange trading, so no such permission exists for this operation, and none is claimed.
  • Public business records show the operating company is registered only for 'investment consulting', with a scope that expressly excludes securities, financial and futures consulting, yet it trades exactly those products.
  • The same company reports registered capital of just RMB 500,000, but its own site claims it manages over USD 106 million of client 'wealth-management accounts'. A micro-enterprise cannot credibly hold that money.
  • The 'trader assessment' funnel (practise on our software, then deposit your own money into accounts that escalate from USD 10,000 to USD 100,000 and more) is a recognised recruitment trap, and an independent discussion describes it as mostly deceptive.
  • China's market regulator has placed the company on its business-abnormality high-risk list.
  • A third-party broker directory scores it near the bottom and marks its licence status as in doubt.

Every finding, with its source and how strongly it points.

8 against1 in favour
  • E1The operating company, 广西南宁鼎邦达投资咨询有限公司, is registered only as an 'investment consulting' micro-enterprise (registered capital RMB 500,000), and its business scope expressly excludes securities, financial and futures consulting, yet DH trades forex, futures, metals and crypto.

  • E2DH's own company profile claims it manages over USD 106,052,541 in client 'wealth-management accounts' and works with 927 or more 'operators', i.e. it pools and manages client money with no financial licence.

    StrongDH company profile (dbd168.com)
  • E3DH advertises margin trading in forex, gold, crude oil, indices and Bitcoin to mainland Chinese residents; retail margin foreign-exchange trading is not permitted in mainland China, so this operation cannot be licensed there.

  • E4China's market regulator has placed the operating company on its business-abnormality (经营异常) high-risk list.

    ModerateChina public enterprise records
  • E5An independent Zhihu discussion states forex speculation is illegal in China and describes DH's 'operator cultivation' scheme as mostly deceptive, ending in demands that recruits deposit their own money into the platform.

    ModerateZhihu discussion
  • E6The 'trader assessment' path requires escalating deposits, from a USD 10,000 account up to USD 30,000, and higher accounts of USD 100,000 and more, framed as a salary plus a 40 percent profit share.

    ModerateDH website (dbd168.com)
  • E7DH claims 'strategic partnerships with the world's leading online forex brokers' but names none, and the counterparty behind its trading platform is not disclosed.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

In fairness, several points cut the other way, and they are why this is not rated a confirmed scam:

  • The business is genuinely old. The company was incorporated in May 2010 and the website has run since 2016, so this is a persistent operation, not a throwaway site.
  • The 'since 2010' age claim is truthful, backed by the company's real incorporation date.
  • No regulator warning names this operation, and we found no court or enforcement record against it.
  • We did not find a large, cross-platform set of specific withdrawal-theft complaints with amounts and dates. The negative signal is real but thin.
  • Part of the business is genuine education and training, and some participants may only be buying courses.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

These findings would move the verdict:

  • A Chinese regulator or police notice naming dbd168.com or 广西南宁鼎邦达投资咨询有限公司 would push this to a confirmed scam.
  • Several independent, detailed reports of blocked withdrawals or seized deposits, with amounts, dates and account names, would push it to a confirmed scam.
  • Proof that it actually holds a valid financial licence, or that it routes all trading to a named, licensed broker and holds no client money, would lower the risk.
  • Evidence that the 'managed account' funds are real, segregated and freely withdrawable would lower the risk.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

12 questions
Is DH (dbd168.com) a scam?

We assess DH as a likely scam. It runs an unlicensed forex and managed-account operation in mainland China, where retail margin forex is banned, and it pushes users to deposit money into a 'trader assessment' scheme that an independent source calls mostly deceptive.

Is DH a fraud?

No court or regulator has ruled that this company commits fraud, so we do not state that as a fact. But we assess the risk of fraud as high, because it operates an unlicensed and unlawful financial business and induces people to deposit money into a scheme described as mostly deceptive.

Is DH regulated or licensed?

No. It holds no financial licence. Mainland China does not license retail margin forex at all. The ICP filing and the training certificate DH shows are not financial regulation.

Can I withdraw my money from DH?

There is no guarantee. Its own pages admit serious losses in managed accounts, and independent commentary describes deposits being lost. If you have funds there, try to withdraw everything now and keep records.

Is my money safe with DH?

We do not consider it safe. An unlicensed operator with RMB 500,000 of registered capital claiming to manage over USD 106 million offers no investor protection, no segregation of client funds and no real recourse.

Who is behind DH and what is the real company?

The operating entity is 广西南宁鼎邦达投资咨询有限公司 (Guangxi Nanning Dingbangda Investment Consulting Co., Ltd.), an investment-consulting micro-enterprise in Nanning, Guangxi, legal representative 陈水来. The names 金融科技联合社 and 鼎汇皓鑫集团 are marketing brands, not the registered company.

How old is DH?

The company was incorporated on 31 May 2010 and the website dbd168.com was registered in June 2016. So it is a long-running operation rather than a new one.

What is the 桂ICP备16010754 filing worth?

It is only a Chinese website permit issued by the telecoms ministry. It lets the company run a website. It says nothing about financial licensing or investor protection.

Is DH a clone of another broker?

No. It is its own China-based operation. Note there is a separate, unrelated broker called 'DingHui' at dinghuimarkets.com that claimed NFA and FinCEN status; that is a different entity and its record does not apply to dbd168.com.

What is the 'operator' or 'trader assessment' (操盘手考核) scheme?

You are recruited as a 'trader', practise on their software, then told you are good enough and asked to deposit your own money into accounts that grow from USD 10,000 to USD 100,000 and more, for a promised salary and profit share. In practice it works as a way to collect deposits.

What should I check before depositing with any broker?

Look up the licence number on the regulator's own public register, confirm the licensed entity and website match, read independent reviews on more than one platform, and be wary of guaranteed salaries, profit shares or escalating deposit demands.

What should I do if I was scammed by DH?

Stop depositing, gather your evidence (transfers, chat logs, account names), and report to your local public security bureau and the market-supervision authority. Tell your bank or payment provider, and do not pay any 'fee' to 'unlock' or 'recover' funds, as that is a common second scam.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

For anyone considering DH:

  • Do not deposit money, and do not hand over funds to be 'managed'. This operation has no financial licence, and retail margin forex is not permitted in mainland China.
  • Treat the 'become a funded operator' offer as a way to get you to deposit your own money, not a real salaried job.
  • If you have already deposited, stop adding funds, try to withdraw everything now, and keep records of every transfer, chat and account name.
  • If you cannot withdraw, report to your local public security bureau, the market-supervision authority and your bank as soon as possible.

This is an independent assessment of risk, not a legal ruling. Scores and verdicts follow the Wikilix broker-safety methodology and can change as new evidence appears. Review scores are treated with caution when a broker’s reviews look manipulated. Last reviewed September 21, 2026.
