Traze licences

Forex, indices, shares, commodities and cryptocurrency, advertised on Traze's homepage as more than 120 instruments in total. Traze publishes contract specifications per asset class and per account type, along with a CFD expiration calendar and a trading calculator.

There is no statutory investor compensation scheme behind the Seychelles Securities Dealer licence that covers your account. That is the single most important practical difference between Traze and a broker regulated onshore in the UK, the EU or Australia, where a compensation scheme would pay out up to a defined limit. The FSCA authorisation held by the South African group company does not extend that protection to you, because that company does not hold your funds.

WIKILIX found no evidence that Traze is a fabricated operation. The legal entity exists and is confirmed on an authoritative registry record, the licence numbers it publishes are real, and its regulatory disclosure is unusually candid about what the South African authorisation does and does not cover.

What holds the assessment back is that the licence protecting client funds is an offshore one with no compensation scheme, and that there is a recurring pattern of client reports describing withdrawals blocked behind demands for tax payments or further deposits. WIKILIX could not verify those individual accounts. The honest position is elevated risk that has not been resolved either way, not a confirmed scam.

Traze does not serve residents of the United States, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, Iran, North Korea or countries within the European Union. The registration form enforces this at signup and will refuse an application from a blocked country outright. Absence from that list is not the same as acceptance, so check the registration form for your own country before planning around it.

Traze states its finance team processes withdrawals within 24 hours and that it applies no fees of its own on deposits or withdrawals, though your bank or wallet provider may charge you separately. The minimum is 15 USD, varying by method. Two rules catch people out: you must withdraw back to the method you deposited with, and only up to the amount you deposited by it, so any profit must go to a bank account you have separately verified. Identity and bank verification must be complete first.

Be aware that a number of clients have reported withdrawals being obstructed by demands for tax payments or additional deposits. WIKILIX could not independently confirm those accounts, but the pattern is common enough in this segment that testing a small withdrawal early is prudent.

Deposits are made from the MyTraze client portal. The channels named are international bank wire (from 1,000 USD, usually two days), local bank transfer in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam, VISA and Mastercard (200 to 10,000 USD) and the Skrill, Neteller and Perfect Money wallets. Which of these you see depends on your location. Funds must originate from an account in your own name; third-party and anonymous deposits are refused.

MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, each available for Windows, Mac, Android and iOS, with Expert Advisors supported on live accounts. Traze also offers its own mobile app, a copy-trading platform, a signal centre and MAM services for money managers.

Minimum FX spreads are advertised from 0.2 pips on ECN Trading and from 1.3 pips on both STP Trading and Cent Trading. Spreads are variable, not fixed. Traze does not publish a per-lot commission figure for any account, which is a real gap: an account marketed as ECN normally carries an explicit commission, so ask support for the schedule in writing before you fund one.

Up to 1:2000 on all three live account types. That is far above the limits any major onshore regulator permits, and it magnifies losses exactly as fast as gains. Traze publishes a leverage policy page and issues announcements adjusting leverage around major economic events, so the maximum available to you at a given moment can be lower than the headline figure.

It depends on the account. Cent Trading opens from 15 USD (1,500 cent), STP Trading from 50 USD and ECN Trading from 200 USD. Separately, each individual deposit must be at least 15 USD, and some payment channels set higher floors: international bank wire starts at 1,000 USD and card deposits at 200 USD.
