Finding

The national exchange for financial futures in China, established under the State Council with the securities regulator's authorisation. This firm is admitted as a trading and clearing member, the higher of the two membership grades, meaning it clears its own trades rather than relying on another member. Client protection: Strong. Clearing membership brings exchange margin, settlement and risk-control obligations on top of the regulator's own supervision..

Verification note

Confirmed on the CFFEX register as 高盛期货(深圳)有限公司 (CFFEX exchange membership — 交易结算会员 (Trading Clearing Member); member code 0308; not a licence). Exact legal-entity name plus jurisdiction on CFFEX member code 0308 (China). The register's own English name for this member, <ename> "Qian Kun Futures Co., Ltd." (<sename> "Qian Kun Futures"), equals our broker brand/slug "qian-kun-futures" character-for-character once slug formatting is undone; a corporate-suffix difference alone is not a non-match. Independently, the same row's 会员号 "0308" equals the member code stored on licence #2032 ("0308"), and its 会员全称 "高盛期货(深圳)有限公司" is the element-for-element source of our DB's fullName "Goldman Sachs Futures (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd." (高盛 = Goldman Sachs, 期货 = Futures, (深圳) = (Shenzhen), 有限公司 = Co., Ltd.), registered in 广东省 (Guangdong), the province containing Shenzhen. All three signals land on the SAME single row out of 155: no other member contains 高盛, no other contains Qian Kun, and no other carries code 0308.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about this licence

Answered from this register entry and the authority’s own record.

Most Popular Questions

Service is conducted in Chinese. The website, the client documents and the help centre are published in Chinese, and the telephone lines are answered in Chinese.

The quote and trading software has no English build, so a Chinese language operating system is required to run it. Non Chinese speakers should expect to need help.

Account closing is done in person at the company's office. Before it can be processed you must withdraw the full balance from the futures account and cancel the bank to futures transfer agreement.

A full withdrawal also has to be requested by telephone, and on that day the account must have no trades and no open positions.

Most login and connection failures come from a local firewall blocking the software, so the company asks clients to check that first and to reinstall the current version from its website if the software is out of date.

If the trading system connection drops during the session, call 86-755 2222 1100 to place orders by telephone, which requires the order password for the relevant exchange. Any other problem goes to the same number, asking for the customer service department.

Trading follows exchange hours. The Shanghai, Zhengzhou and Dalian exchanges run from 09:00 to 10:15, 10:30 to 11:30 and 13:30 to 15:00. The China Financial Futures Exchange runs from 09:15 to 11:30 and 13:00 to 15:15, closing at 15:00 on a contract's last trading day.

Before the open, orders can be entered in the call auction from 08:55 to 08:59, and no orders can be placed from 08:59 to 09:00 while the auction is matched.

Client margin is kept in dedicated margin accounts at designated depository banks, separate from company money. The China Futures Margin Monitoring Center monitors the daily transfer and settlement of that margin, and clients can check their own funds and positions on its website.

That addresses the handling of client money by the firm. It does not protect against trading losses, which in futures can exceed the margin posted.

A transfer credits immediately once it completes, but withdrawals can only be made between 09:20 and 15:15 on trading days. Deposits have no time restriction.

A maximum of three withdrawals is allowed per trading day, a single withdrawal is capped at 80 percent of the account's available funds and at 1,000,000 yuan, and the daily ceiling is 3,000,000 yuan, above which the company asks for half a day of notice.

A stock index futures account goes beyond a commodity account. Applicants complete basic knowledge training and a test, and show trading experience of at least ten commodity futures trades within the past three years, or ten trading days and twenty or more simulated stock index trades.

They also provide proof of financial assets, an income or credit report, and must hold available funds of not less than 500,000 yuan in the futures margin account at the end of the trading day before the trading code is applied for.

An individual opening a commodity futures account needs a valid second generation PRC identity card and a savings card from the Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank or Bank of Communications. Corporate applicants supply the business licence, organisation code certificate, tax registration, legal representative authorisation and sealed company documents.

The process then runs through identity checks and imaging, signing the risk disclosure and client notice, signing the brokerage contract, internal review, applying for the exchange trading code, setting up the bank to futures transfer, and finally installing the software and funding the account.

The company offers every product listed on the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange, the Dalian Commodity Exchange and the China Financial Futures Exchange.

That covers mainland Chinese commodity futures such as copper, aluminium, gold and rubber, and financial futures including the CSI 300 index future.

No. It is a mainland China futures brokerage, and what it offers is the contracts listed on the domestic futures exchanges.

There is no retail foreign exchange or contract for difference account here, so anyone looking for that kind of trading will not find it.

Nothing in its own disclosures suggests that. It is a licensed mainland futures company that can be looked up on the public register of futures companies, and client margin sits in segregated accounts at designated depository banks under the China Futures Margin Monitoring Center.

One warning does matter for anyone searching the older name. The company states that since 20 March 2026 neither it nor its affiliates use the Qian Kun or QK names, and that any firm or individual still trading under them is unconnected to it.

The company is wholly owned by Goldman Sachs (China) Securities Co., Ltd., which holds 100 percent following a change of shareholder and controlling party completed in 2025.

It was previously named Qian Kun Futures Co., Ltd. and was approved to change its name to Goldman Sachs Futures (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., announced on 4 March 2026.

The company publishes an enquiry line on 86-755 2222 1100 and a separate complaints line on 86-755 2222 1155. Its email address is GSFC-Services@goldmansachs.cn, its fax is 86-755 8291 2965, and its office is at Kerry Plaza Tower T3, rooms 3302 and 3303A, Futian District, Shenzhen, postcode 518048.

Support is provided in Chinese and there is no live chat. The company no longer uses the Qian Kun or QK names, so the older email address on that domain should not be used.

The company does not publish a single maximum leverage figure. Trading is on margin, and the margin ratio is set contract by contract by the exchange and by the company, then applied to the account.

The current rate for any contract can be checked in the trading system through its margin rate enquiry, so the effective leverage depends on the contract being traded rather than on one company wide number.

The company does not publish a headline minimum deposit. Money moves between your own bank account and your futures margin account through a bank to futures transfer, both accounts must be in the same name, and cash deposits are not accepted. The account balance must not fall below 100 yuan.

For transfers through the Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, China Construction Bank and Bank of Communications, the company states that deposits and withdrawals are currently free of charge.

Orders can be placed in three ways: through the company's online trading software, by telephone instruction, and in writing. The quote and trading software is downloaded from the software section of the company's own website, and the trading program is built into it.

There is no English build of the quote software, and the company advises that a Chinese language operating system is needed to run it.

Goldman Sachs Futures (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. is licensed as a futures company in mainland China, covering financial futures brokerage and commodity futures brokerage, and its entry can be checked on the public register of futures companies maintained by the China Futures Association. It is also a trading and clearing member of the China Financial Futures Exchange, which is exchange membership rather than a separate licence.

Client margin is held in dedicated accounts at designated depository banks and monitored by the China Futures Margin Monitoring Center. This is a China domestic futures brokerage, regulated for that business and not as an international retail forex or CFD broker.

Licence 0308 was issued by China Financial Futures Exchange (CFFEX), the financial authority for China.
Goldman Sachs Futures holds this CFFEX licence. A licence on record means the authority published an entry; it is not an endorsement.
We located this entry on the CFFEX register. Note that confirming a register ENTRY is not the same as confirming a live licence — the register’s own wording on this page is what states its current standing.
The CFFEX register prints it under 高盛期货(深圳)有限公司, not Goldman Sachs Futures. Licences are often held by a subsidiary rather than the trading brand, which is why searching a register for the brand alone can return nothing.
Wikilix rates CFFEX tier 1 — the strictest band, with high capital requirements, segregated client money and a compensation scheme.
This page links straight to the CFFEX register. Search it for 0308, and for the name 高盛期货(深圳)有限公司 rather than the trading brand.
Goldman Sachs Futures has one other licence on record with Wikilix, across 0 jurisdictions. They are listed further down this page.
