What 18FX legally published, but does not want you to read

Every clause below is published by 18FX itself, on its own website, today. The finding is not that the text exists. It is the distance between what a client is shown and what a client agreed to. Read from its own documents on .

Contracting entity: PT RRFX Investasi Berjangka

sole discretionunilateral amendmentwithdrawalsmarketing contradictionaccount closurebrandcomplaintsconflict disclosuredata sharingdeemed acceptance

RRFX asks you to tick that you have read Terms and Conditions it does not publish. The contract is twelve short sections inside a pop-up on the signup form. It says RRFX need not return a payment unless it decides otherwise, and it never gives you a right to withdraw. The 24 working hour payout, the segregated account and the negative balance protection all live on marketing pages, not in the contract.

The numbers in this contractFigures taken from this broker's own clauses, so the labels differ from broker to broker. The four in the panel above are the same on every report.

1 of these 2 figures comes from a clause we rate critical, which means it can take your money or your profit rather than only delay it.

What the documents say

13 clauses worth knowing about, worst first, each quoted from 18FX's own files

01

You cannot open an account without ticking that you have read RRFX's Terms and Conditions. Those terms are twelve short sections in a pop-up on the signup form, and they appear on no other page. Section 10 then lets RRFX change them whenever it likes, effective as soon as it posts them on the website.

Why this matters

The page RRFX tells you to check for changes does not carry the contract at all. You agreed to terms you cannot look up later, and RRFX need not tell you when they change.

Exhibit 1CriticalRarely seen12

Perusahaan berhak untuk mengubah Syarat dan Ketentuan ini kapan saja.
Clause 10 in Syarat dan Ketentuan
Read from the broker's site on Open the reference
Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA or CySEC must give a retail client their terms of business before trading starts, in a form the client can keep. RRFX's contract exists only as a pop-up on its signup form.

18FX is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

Our readingBrokers normally publish the client agreement as a page or a file you can read before you register. Here the only copy sits in a pop-up behind a link on the signup form, and the site's own page index does not list it.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 11RRFX can rewrite the terms without telling you and withdraw the product itself without notice.
  • Worse together with Exhibit 4You owe fees at rates RRFX has not published, under terms RRFX can rewrite at any time.
02

RRFX does not have to return money you pay in, unless it decides otherwise, under section 6 of the contract. Nothing in the contract gives you a right to withdraw, a payout deadline, or a process to follow.

Why this matters

Your deposit sits with RRFX on terms where the refund decision is RRFX's alone. If a payout stalls or RRFX refuses it, the contract gives you no clause to point at.

Exhibit 2CriticalRarely seen

Semua pembayaran yang dilakukan tidak dapat dikembalikan kecuali ditentukan lain oleh Perusahaan.
Clause 6 in Syarat dan Ketentuan
Read from the broker's site on Open the reference
Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), ASIC (Australia)

Firms licensed by the FCA or ASIC hold retail money under client money rules and must return it when the client asks. This contract makes a payment non-refundable unless RRFX decides otherwise, and sets no payout deadline at all.

18FX is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

Our readingA blanket non-refundability clause belongs to a shop selling goods, not to a firm holding client money. Pointed at a trading balance, it turns the return of your own funds into a decision for the firm.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 3The only payout speed RRFX commits to is on a marketing page, and the only clause about money leaving is this one.
03

RRFX's About Us page promises it processes withdrawals quickly and names a deadline for them. The contract you accept at signup contains no withdrawal clause, and says RRFX need not return a payment unless it decides otherwise.

Why this matters

A marketing page is not a term of your contract. If the payout you were promised does not arrive, the document you actually agreed to has nothing in it you can enforce.

Exhibit 3CriticalHarder than usual

Clause 6 in Syarat dan Ketentuan
Read from the broker's site on Open the reference
04

RRFX can refuse or cancel any transaction it treats as invalid or unlawful, under section 5 of the contract. The contract never defines either word, requires no notice, and gives you no appeal.

Why this matters

RRFX can cancel a closed, profitable trade after the fact, and take the gain with it. The only place RRFX spells out what it counts as improper trading is its contest rules: multiple accounts, arbitrage abuse, automated trading software and unusual trading activity.

Exhibit 5CriticalHarder than usual

Perusahaan berhak untuk menolak atau membatalkan transaksi yang dianggap tidak sah atau melanggar hukum.
Clause 5 in Syarat dan Ketentuan
Read from the broker's site on Open the reference
  • Worse together with Exhibit 9RRFX can cancel the trade, and the liability clause rules out responsibility for the direct loss that follows.
05

RRFX's pages promise negative balance protection, a segregated account for your money, and a guarantee that your funds are safe. None of the three appears in the contract.

In plain words

Negative balance protection is a limit that stops you owing more than you put in. Without it, one fast market move can leave you owing the broker money on top of your deposit.

Why this matters

The contract says RRFX is not liable for losses from your own trading decisions, and it never caps your loss at your balance. A promise on a web page is not a clause.

Exhibit 6WarningHarder than usual

Perusahaan tidak bertanggung jawab atas kerugian yang timbul dari keputusan investasi yang dibuat oleh Pengguna.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), ESMA (EU)

Retail clients of firms licensed by the FCA, and under ESMA rules, get negative balance protection as a requirement, so a loss cannot run past the account balance. RRFX promises it on a marketing page and not in its contract.

18FX is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

You agree to rates RRFX has not written down

RRFX publishes a commission of $1 to $25 per lot by account type, with a spread table beside it. Section 6 of its contract then commits you to pay every other cost of using the products at whatever rates apply. No deposit fee, withdrawal fee or conversion rate is stated anywhere.

Cost disclosure1 clause flagged

You commit to pay every cost of using RRFX's products at whatever rates apply, under section 6 of the contract. RRFX publishes a commission per lot and a spread table, and no rate card for anything else.

Why this matters

Deposits, withdrawals and bank charges all fall inside that promise, and none of them has a published price. You also carry every tax and cost on your transactions.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA or CySEC must tell a retail client the costs and charges of a service before they trade. This contract asks you to accept rates it does not state anywhere.

18FX is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

The contract RRFX asks you to accept is not on its website

RRFX's entire client contract is twelve short sections inside a pop-up on its signup form, and the site's own page index does not list it. Section 10 lets RRFX rewrite those terms whenever it likes, effective as soon as they are posted on the website that does not carry them. Section 5 lets RRFX change or stop the product itself with no notice.

Terms you cannot read1 clause flagged

RRFX can alter or discontinue its products at any time with no prior notice, under section 5. The same section lets it suspend or close your account for breaching the terms.

Why this matters

RRFX can withdraw a product while you hold an open position, and nothing requires it to warn you first. The terms you can breach are the ones kept in the signup pop-up.

Complaints go in by hand, and no clock runs on the answer

RRFX takes a complaint only in person, by registered letter, by email or by phone, and sets no deadline for its reply. Section 8 of its contract excludes liability for direct loss as well as indirect loss. RRFX does publish BAPPEBTI's complaint portal, which runs independently of RRFX.

Complaining2 clauses flagged

RRFX accepts a complaint only if you visit an office, send a registered letter, email it or telephone. Its complaint page sets no deadline for a reply, and the contract promises only to handle complaints promptly and efficiently.

Why this matters

Sending someone in your place needs an original stamped power of attorney plus a copy of your ID. No published document tells you how long RRFX may take to answer.

Buried at section 17 of 27 in the PENGADUAN, 63% of the way through.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK)

Firms licensed by the FCA must answer a complaint inside a set time and point the client to an independent scheme. RRFX names BAPPEBTI's complaint portal, which is independent of RRFX, and sets no time limit of its own.

18FX is not licensed by this regulator, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

RRFX rules out responsibility for direct loss as well as indirect, incidental, special and consequential loss, under section 8. That wording covers loss from being unable to use its platform.

Why this matters

If the platform fails while you hold a position, the clause RRFX wrote covers that exact situation. The same section says plainly that RRFX does not promise the product will be free of errors or interruptions.

RRFX profiles you before you are a client

RRFX's privacy policy collects your IP address, login details, device, browser and location, and says it profiles prospective clients as well as clients. It names no retention period, so no date exists by which your records go. Changes take effect the moment RRFX posts them.

Your data1 clause flagged

RRFX collects your IP address, login details, browser, device and location, and profiles your behaviour before you are even a client. It can change the privacy policy at any time, effective the moment it posts the new version.

Why this matters

The policy promises RRFX will not sell or trade your data. It names no retention period, so no date exists by which your records go. The site's own consent box names an advertising network and its partners, which the policy never mentions.

RRFX names its market maker in the footer and nowhere else

One sentence at the foot of RRFX's pages says it works with an Alternative Trading System Participating Market Maker under BAPPEBTI. That dealer structure is normal in Indonesian retail forex. RRFX publishes no conflict of interest policy, and its contract never says who takes the other side of your trade.

Who you trade against1 clause flagged

RRFX works with an Alternative Trading System Participating Market Maker, stated in the small print at the foot of its pages. This dealer structure is normal for Indonesian retail forex. The contract never says who takes the other side of your trade.

In plain words

On a principal basis, as your counterparty, means the broker takes the other side of your trade itself. Your loss is then the firm’s gain, so it has an interest in how your trade ends.

Why this matters

A market maker can profit when you lose. RRFX publishes no conflict of interest policy, so nothing tells you how it manages that or how it prices your order.

Who and what2 clauses flagged

Visiting 18fx.co.id forwards you to rrfx.co.id, and the contract you accept binds you to PT RRFX Investasi Berjangka. Section 1 covers products under the PT18 brand as well.

Why this matters

The company you can complain about, and sue, is PT RRFX Investasi Berjangka in Jakarta. Check that name, not the 18FX brand, against any registration you rely on.

RRFX's legal page lists seven permits and memberships, from BAPPEBTI to the clearing house, each shown as a certificate image. Its site publishes three legal pages: complaints, privacy and that licence list.

The documents this reading is based on

5 files, all published by 18FX. Each shows when we read it and a fingerprint of its wording.

WIKILIX keeps the copy of each file it read, and does not republish it: what is published is the fingerprint of its wording. Who the contract is with

PT RRFX Investasi Berjangka

You contract with PT RRFX Investasi Berjangka, a futures broker in Jakarta. Section 1 of the contract binds you to its terms for RRFX products, including products under the PT18 brand. 18fx.co.id now forwards every page to rrfx.co.id. A visitor looking for 18FX reads RRFX documents and signs an RRFX contract. The permits on the legal page, led by BAPPEBTI business permit 192/BAPPEBTI/SI/II/2003, are all listed in the RRFX name.

Quotations are copied verbatim from the documents named above, with the clause number and the page each one came from. Where a clause is quoted in another language, the original is shown first and the English is a translation.

The plain-language parts, what a clause means for a client, how ordinary it is, and how it reads against a regulated standard, are WIKILIX's analysis and are labelled as such on every card. This is a reading of public documents, not legal advice and not an allegation of wrongdoing.

In fairness, and what we could not check

A reader who knows the edges of the work can trust the middle of it

The complaint page sends you to BAPPEBTI's own complaint portal at pengaduan.bappebti.go.id, a route that does not run through RRFX. The spread page prints a commission figure for every account type, from $1 to $25 per lot, with a spread table beside it. Indonesian law and Indonesian courts govern the contract, which is the right forum for Indonesian clients. All eleven deposit accounts are listed in the company's own name. The published terms set no inactivity fee and no dormancy charge.

We read all three legal pages RRFX publishes, plus the Terms and Conditions held in the signup form pop-up at app.rrfx.co.id. Every quotation from that contract comes from that page. We read part of the trading competition page: its entry rules, mechanism and prize criteria, not the leaderboard at the top. No earlier version of any of these documents is available, so this is a first reading with nothing to compare against. We found no risk disclosure, no client mandate agreement, no payment terms and no conflict of interest policy to read.

How to check any of this yourself

Every quote above links to the 18FX file it came from. This is what to do with it.

Open the three stepsFind the words in the source, work out the fingerprint, and read what a difference does and does not prove.

Open the source and search for the words

Every quote has a link under it. Open the file, or the web page, and search it for the words we quote. The clause number next to the quote tells you where to look.

If the words are not there any more, the source may have changed after we read it. That is worth knowing too. We keep the date we read it, and a code worked out from its wording, so the quote stays checkable.

What a fingerprint is

A fingerprint is a code worked out from what a source says. Change one word and the code changes completely. We keep two codes for every file we read, and the panel on each source shows both.

The first is the code of the exact file we downloaded. The second is the code of its wording alone, with capital letters lowered and runs of spaces collapsed. When the same words are saved as a new file, the first code changes and the second one stays the same.

Only the first code can be worked out on your own computer. Save the file, then run one of these, putting the name of the file you saved where the example is. The panel on each source prints the command with that source's real file name already in it.

macOS or Linux:
  shasum -a 256 the-file-you-saved.pdf

Windows:
  certutil -hashfile the-file-you-saved.pdf SHA256

The two codes are different from each other, and they are not meant to match. Comparing one against the other proves nothing.

What a difference means, and what it does not

A different file code on its own proves nothing. A PDF saved again with a new date inside it is a new file saying exactly the same thing.

A different wording code means the words themselves changed. That is the one that matters, and it is why we keep it.

Even then, a change is not proof of bad faith. Companies update their documents. What this report says is what the document said on the day we read it, and every quote carries that date.

A source that is a web page and not a file has no file to save, so only the code of its wording is shown.

How this report is made

Every clause quoted above comes from a document 18FX publishes on its own website, downloaded and hashed on the date shown, with the clause number and page recorded so any reader can check it. We do not allege anything the documents do not say, and we do not judge 18FX on anything other than its own published terms and its own public marketing. Where a clause has a qualifier that softens it, the report says so. Last read Oct 7, 2026.

If you represent 18FX and a clause has changed, been withdrawn, or is being read out of context, tell us and we will re-read the documents and update this page. Corrections from the broker are welcome and are published with the reading they change. Contact us.

This is a reading of a contract, not legal advice and not a ruling on 18FX. Whether its licence is real and current is a separate check on the broker profile.
