Finding

A Mauritius Investment Dealer licence in category SEC-2.1B, Full Service Dealer excluding Underwriting. This is a genuine permission to deal in securities and derivatives and to hold client money, issued by the statutory financial regulator of Mauritius, and it is the licence class a Mauritius retail CFD broker is expected to hold. It is not a company registration. The broker does not advertise it anywhere on its own website. Client protection: Limited. Mauritius operates no investor compensation scheme for this licence class, so a client has no statutory route to recover funds if the firm fails. Complaints can be made to the regulator, but cross-border enforcement for a foreign client is slow and uncertain. Effective: 08 May 2025.

Most Popular Questions

Yes. The broker's trading guidelines require a position to stay open for at least 180 seconds to count as valid, and require a gap of at least 180 seconds between buying and selling the same instrument. Profits from practices it classes as prohibited, including what it calls pip hunting in commodities or forex, may be removed without prior notice, and the terms allow deposit forfeiture, trade nullification and account suspension for policy violations. The terms can also be changed at any time without prior notice.

The broker's published documents set out no complaints procedure, so the only route they offer is the general contact address. The terms state that the agreement is governed by the law of the United Arab Emirates and that disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts, without naming them, while the operating company is presented as a Mauritius entity. It is worth establishing where a dispute would actually be heard before depositing.

9Cents publishes info@9cents.com for general contact, a Mauritius telephone number and a WhatsApp number, with live chat, phone and email staffed during business hours of 10:00 to 19:00. Its contact address is in Port Louis, Mauritius. The broker also links Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok profiles from its website footer.

9Cents Financials Ltd. states that it does not provide services to citizens or residents of the United States, Cuba, Iraq, Myanmar, North Korea, Sudan, Russia and Iran. Availability elsewhere does not follow from that list alone, since an offshore licence does not authorise a broker to take clients in every other country. Rules in your own country may also restrict leveraged CFD trading.

The broker's terms say transfers and withdrawals typically take up to 24 hours to reflect in the client's account. That is immediately qualified by the company's right to request additional verification for security and compliance, which may extend processing. The 24 hours is therefore a typical case rather than a guarantee, and no withdrawal fee schedule is published.

9Cents publishes no list of payment methods on its public pages. Its terms state that clients fund and withdraw using the approved methods listed inside the client portal, so the methods open to you only become visible once an account exists. The terms also state that third-party payments are not accepted, so the payment account has to be in the client's own name.

The account tiers list forex, commodities, metals, shares and indices, with around 60 forex pairs recorded. The broker's platform page also describes cryptocurrency CFDs, which the account tier list does not include, so the crypto range should be confirmed with the broker directly. The minimum trade size is 0.01 lots on every tier.

MetaTrader 5 is the only platform 9Cents offers, running on the broker's own server. It publishes a Windows installer along with the iOS and Android apps, and states that the browser version needs no download. MT4, cTrader and a proprietary platform are not offered.

Yes, swap-free trading is shown on all three tiers, but it is conditional rather than permanent. Approval is at the company's discretion and can be revoked without a reason being given, and cover lapses after a grace period on some instrument groups, after which positions attract a daily administrative fee. Anyone relying on swap-free treatment should confirm the current instrument list and grace periods before opening positions.

On the STANDARD and PRO tiers the cost sits in the spread, quoted by the broker as low as 16 to 20 points on currencies for STANDARD and 16 to 25 points for PRO. The ECN tier quotes 4 to 6 points on currencies and adds a 5 USD commission, for which the accounts table does not state the unit. The broker's home and platform pages advertise zero commission, which its own accounts table contradicts for the ECN tier.

Leverage reaches 1:400 on the STANDARD account, and falls to 1:300 on PRO and 1:200 on ECN, so the cap tightens as the deposit requirement rises. Leverage at these levels increases losses as much as gains, and the broker's terms make the client liable for the shortfall if an account falls into deficit.

The minimum deposit is 100 USD, which opens the STANDARD account. The PRO tier requires 15,000 USD and the ECN tier 25,000 USD. 9Cents does not publish a minimum deposit per payment method on its public pages.

WIKILIX has not reached that conclusion. What can be said is that the broker's only regulatory claim is offshore, that its own legal documents name no regulator, and that those documents allow it to forfeit deposits and to remove profits without prior notice where it judges a trading rule to have been broken. Those terms deserve more weight than the licence number alone.

9Cents is the trading brand of 9Cents Financials Ltd., with company registration number 2024-00422 recorded in Mauritius and a contact address in Port Louis. A company registration confirms only that the company exists, and it is not financial regulation. The broker's terms are governed by the law of the United Arab Emirates, which sits oddly beside a Mauritius operating entity.

9Cents states that its operating company, 9Cents Financials Ltd., holds licence GB25204261 from the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius. On that basis, WIKILIX classes the broker as offshore. No onshore licence in a major jurisdiction is claimed. The broker's own legal documents refer to the standards of relevant authorities but name no regulator and no licence number.

Licence GB25204261 was issued by The Financial Services Commission (FSC), the financial authority for Mauritius.
9Cents holds this FSC licence. A licence on record means the authority published an entry; it is not an endorsement.
We located this entry on the FSC register. Note that confirming a register ENTRY is not the same as confirming a live licence — the register’s own wording on this page is what states its current standing.
Wikilix rates FSC tier 3. Supervision is lighter-touch and client protections vary.
