An over loss can happen at Agrodana, and its FAQ says you carry every loss a price move causes. One forex lot needs USD 1,000 as margin, the cash held against the trade. That lot controls a contract of 100,000 units.
Negative balance protection is a limit that stops you owing more than you put in. Without it, one fast market move can leave you owing the broker money on top of your deposit.
Why this matters
A gap at a Friday close or over a holiday can take your balance below zero, and Agrodana says the shortfall is yours. Nothing it publishes caps your loss at the money you paid in.
Exhibit 1Every flagged clause gets its own number so you can point at this one. The number does not change, so a link to it keeps working.CriticalHow much this clause can cost you, in our reading. Critical can take your money or your profit. Warning can delay or limit it. Notice is simply worth knowing before you sign.Harder than usualHow ordinary this wording looks next to the contracts we read. This is our reading of the clause, not a count of other brokers.$1000The figure this clause puts a number on, taken from the broker's own words.
Over Loss dapat terjadi. Nasabah bertanggung jawab penuh atas semua kerugian yang terjadi yang disebabkan oleh pergerakan harga termasuk apabila Open Gap (New York Holiday dan Friday Market Close), lompatan harga dan pasar hectic.
What it costsThe same clause worked out on a round number, so you can see it in money or in days. It is an example, not a quotation.USD 1,000 of margin holds a contract of 100,000 units. The position is 100 times the money standing behind it.
Firms licensed by the FCA, CySEC, ASIC and under ESMA rules must give a retail client negative balance protection, so the client cannot lose more than the account holds. Agrodana's FAQ says the opposite: you are fully responsible for every loss, including loss from a price gap.
Agrodana Futures is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.
