Risk scorecard
Each area is scored 0 (clean) to 10 (worst). Higher means more risk.
Regulation
6/10 · HighA genuine, in-force licence confirmed on the issuer's own register with the entity, brand and domain all matching, but it is a low-tier Seychelles offshore permission with no compensation scheme and it is the firm's only licence.
Identity & transparency
4/10 · ModerateThe legal entity, licence number and registered address are published openly and match the regulator's listing, but the site gives a different registered address from the register, omits the Gulf Brokers lineage, and links no external register verification.
Withdrawals & conduct
3/10 · LowNo refusal pattern: zero one-star reviews on the Alpho brand, repeated confirmations that withdrawals worked, and only isolated delay reports across two platforms, one involving extra document requests in December 2025.
Reputation
6/10 · High2.8 on 47 reviews for Alpho and 3.0 on 88 reviews with 21 percent one-star for the same company's Gulf Brokers brand, carrying a consistent multi-year account-manager pressure pattern, plus credible allegations that positive reviews are paid.
Website claims
4/10 · ModerateThe site claims exactly the licence it holds with no tier-one pretence, no fake awards and no profit guarantees, but it publishes a registered address inconsistent with the register and conceals that it is the Gulf Brokers operation.
Operational history
2/10 · LowVerified long-running operation with domains from 2006 and 2012, a review trail from 2021 and a licence on record, and critically the broker advertises no founding year, so there is no age misrepresentation to penalise.
Who they are
A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.
- Brand: Alpho
- Legal entity: Octrado Ltd, a Seychelles limited liability company, which also trades as Gulf Brokers
- Registered: Seychelles. The regulator records Office 2, Suite C, Orion Mall, Palm Street, Victoria, Mahe. The broker's own site gives Room B11, First Floor, Providence Complex, Providence, Mahe
- Website: alpho.com, with my.alpho.com and webtrading.alpho.com for client access. The regulator also lists gulfbrokers.com and octrado.com under the same company
- Only licence: Seychelles FSA Securities Dealer SD013, confirmed on the regulator's own register
- Offers: forex, indices, commodities, shares and CFDs on MetaTrader 5, with leverage up to 500 to 1
- Not accepted: residents of Afghanistan, Cuba, Crimea, Israel, Sudan, North Korea, Ethiopia, Iran, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iraq, Laos, Syria, Uganda, Vanuatu and Yemen
- Age claim: the site makes no founding claim at all. The alpho.com domain dates from 2006, gulfbrokers.com from 2012 and octrado.com from 2017, and the Alpho brand itself appears from about 2022

Why we reached this verdict
How the evidence adds up.
We separated two questions: is this operation who it says it is, and does it treat clients well. The answers point in different directions.
- The identity check passes cleanly. The Seychelles FSA register lists Octrado Ltd, gives the trade name Alpho, and names alpho.com as its website. The company name, the brand and the domain all line up. This is the opposite of a clone.
- The licence is genuine but weak. SD013 is a Seychelles Securities Dealer permission. Seychelles is a low-tier offshore jurisdiction. Your money is not covered by any compensation scheme, and complaints go to a regulator on the other side of the world.
- The conduct record is the problem. Under the Gulf Brokers brand, run by this same company, reviewers from 2021 through 2025 describe one consistent mechanism: an assigned advisor calls repeatedly to push more deposits, trades the account into losses, and swap and spread charges finish it off. Amounts named include 15,000, 60,000, 141,000 and 200,000 dollars. Several reviewers say agents claimed to be in London while operating from the UAE or Bahrain, and that advisors were swapped whenever losses mounted.
- Money does appear to come back. This is important and it is why this is not a scam verdict. We found no pattern of refused withdrawals. Reviewers repeatedly state that deposits and withdrawals worked, and the one very large loss story ends with the full amount returned. What we did find were isolated withdrawal delays, including a December 2025 report of extra documents being demanded and funds held up.
- The public record is contaminated in both directions. A cluster of linked scam-report sites publishes near-identical fraud allegations about alpho.com. Those sites follow a known reputation-extortion pattern and we gave them no weight. Equally, several reviewers allege the positive reviews are paid, and the Alpho page's shape, 45 percent three-star and no one-star at all, does not look like an untouched review base.
- Nothing on any warning list. Repeated sweeps for Alpho, Octrado and Gulf Brokers across the major regulator alert lists returned no hits.
A verified licence settles who they are. It does not settle how they sell. That is why this sits at 44 percent and at high risk rather than clean.
Evidence ledger
Every finding, with its source and how strongly it points.
E1The Seychelles FSA securities dealer register lists Octrado Ltd with the trade names Alpho and Octrado, and names alpho.com, gulfbrokers.com and octrado.com as its websites. The entity, brand and domain all match the operation under investigation, so the clone test passes.
E2The broker's own licence page names Octrado Ltd as the operating company and Seychelles FSA licence SD013, consistent with the regulator's listing. It gives the registered address as Room B11, First Floor, Providence Complex, Providence, Mahe.
E3Trustpilot for the alpho.com domain shows 47 reviews averaging 2.8, with 21 percent five-star, 45 percent three-star and zero one-star reviews. Every criticism concerns spreads, an inactivity fee, absence of a demo account or MT5 being too complex, and one reviewer states withdrawals worked.
E4Trustpilot for gulfbrokers.com, operated by the same legal entity, shows 88 reviews averaging 3.0 with 19 one-star reviews. From 2021 to 2025 they describe one repeated mechanism: an assigned advisor calling to push further deposits, advised trades losing, and very high swap and spread charges, with named losses of 15,000, 60,000 and 200,000 dollars.
E5The largest loss story on that page, a 141,000 dollar complaint dated 6 November 2025, states the full amount was ultimately returned and closes by promoting a named recovery firm. That is the signature of a recovery-room advertisement, so the report was discounted rather than counted as a fund-integrity complaint.
E6An independent broker directory carries a single Alpho user review, dated 2 December 2025, reporting that a withdrawal required extra documents, that funds were delayed and that support was dismissive. It lists the entity as Gulf Brokers Ltd operating the Alpho brand under licence SD013.
ModerateBrokersView Alpho review pageE7Several Gulf Brokers reviewers allege the positive reviews are bought, one stating that the company's own people post five-star reviews. The Alpho page's shape, with 45 percent three-star ratings and no one-star ratings at all, is also inconsistent with an untouched review base.
E8Domain records show alpho.com registered on 8 May 2006, gulfbrokers.com on 5 January 2012 and octrado.com on 7 March 2017, all three at the same registrar and on the same pair of nameservers. This confirms one operator behind all three brands and a genuinely long-running presence.
E9The registered address the broker publishes, Room B11 Providence Complex, does not match the address the regulator holds for Octrado Ltd, Office 2 Suite C Orion Mall Palm Street Victoria. One of the two records is out of date and the firm has not reconciled them.
E10The Alpho site presents licence number SD013 as a link to a document it hosts itself rather than to the Seychelles FSA register, so a visitor is never sent to the primary source to check the licence.
E11The broker's public pages name only the Seychelles FSA, claim no tier-one regulator, advertise no founding year, and carry no guaranteed-profit or fake-award claims. The restricted-country list is published openly. There is no age or regulatory misrepresentation to find.
E12The Alpho website nowhere discloses that Octrado Ltd is the Gulf Brokers operation, even though the regulator records both domains under the one company. A prospective client researching the Alpho brand would not find the complaint history attached to the older brand.
The other side
The strongest case in this broker’s favour.
The fair case for Alpho is stronger than the search results suggest.
- The licence is real, current, and confirmed on the regulator's own register with the brand and the domain both listed. Most brokers we investigate cannot show this.
- The company does not pretend to be something it is not. It names only the Seychelles FSA, claims no tier-one regulator, publishes no fake awards, and makes no guaranteed-profit promises. It also makes no founding-year claim, so there is no inflated history to catch it on.
- This is a long-running operation, not a fresh site. Domains go back to 2006 and 2012, the review trail runs from 2021, and an affiliated Dubai entity has traded on the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange for years.
- The worst material we found is not about Alpho. It is about the Gulf Brokers brand, mostly from 2021 to 2024, and it describes trading losses under pressure rather than stolen funds. Traders do lose money at honest brokers, and high swap and spread costs are a bad product, not theft.
- The single most alarming review, a 141,000 dollar loss, ends by promoting a named recovery firm. That is the signature of a recovery-room advertisement, and we discounted it entirely.
- The company answers its reviews publicly, including critical ones, and the one documented withdrawal delay was resolved.
What would change this
What we would need to see to revise the verdict.
Concrete things that would move this report in either direction.
- Toward a scam verdict: a regulator warning naming alpho.com, Octrado Ltd or Gulf Brokers; or several independent, dated, specific reports of withdrawals refused outright on the Alpho brand; or any credible report of a fee, tax or insurance payment being demanded before funds are released.
- Toward a scam verdict: the Seychelles FSA suspending, cancelling or lapsing licence SD013 while the site still advertises it.
- Toward a clean verdict: a sustained period of Alpho-brand reviews showing no pressure-selling and no withdrawal delays, plus the company retiring the assigned-advisor sales model that generated the Gulf Brokers complaints.
- Toward a clean verdict: the company reconciling its registered address with the regulator's record, publishing a direct link to its FSA register entry, and openly disclosing the Gulf Brokers lineage on the Alpho site.
- Toward a clean verdict: a tier-one or tier-two licence, such as one from the FCA, CySEC or ASIC, held by the entity that actually holds client money.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about this broker’s safety.
Is Alpho a scam?
No, not on the evidence we found. Alpho is operated by Octrado Ltd, which we confirmed on the Seychelles FSA register with the Alpho trade name and the alpho.com website both listed. There is no regulator warning against it and no pattern of refused withdrawals. It is, however, a high-risk offshore broker with a poor sales-conduct record under its sister brand.
Is Alpho regulated?
Yes, but only offshore. Octrado Ltd holds Seychelles Securities Dealer licence SD013, issued by the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles. We verified this on the regulator's own register on 11 August 2026. It holds no licence from the FCA, CySEC, ASIC or any other tier-one or tier-two regulator.
Can I withdraw my money from Alpho?
In the cases we could examine, yes. Reviewers of both the Alpho and Gulf Brokers brands repeatedly confirm that withdrawals were processed. We did find isolated delays, including a December 2025 report of extra documents being requested and funds held up, and a 2025 report of a two-day delay that was resolved. We found no pattern of outright refusal.
Is my money safe with Alpho?
It is not protected the way it would be at a tier-one regulated broker. A Seychelles Securities Dealer licence carries no investor compensation scheme. If the firm failed or disputed your balance, you would have limited practical recourse and would be pursuing it through a regulator in the Seychelles.
Who owns Alpho?
Alpho is a trading name of Octrado Ltd, a Seychelles limited liability company. The same company also trades as Gulf Brokers. The Seychelles FSA register lists alpho.com, gulfbrokers.com and octrado.com all under Octrado Ltd.
What is the connection between Alpho and Gulf Brokers?
They are the same company. The Seychelles regulator lists gulfbrokers.com and alpho.com under the single entity Octrado Ltd, and the contact email on the register is a gulfbrokers.com address. The Alpho website does not mention this connection, which matters because most of the serious complaints we found are filed against the Gulf Brokers brand.
How old is Alpho?
The operation is well established, but the Alpho brand is newer than the company. The alpho.com domain was registered in 2006 and gulfbrokers.com in 2012, while the Alpho brand itself appears from around 2022. The company makes no founding-year claim on its site, so there is no inflated history here.
What is a Seychelles FSA SD licence worth?
Less than most traders assume. It is a genuine licence and the register is real, so it does prove the company exists and is permitted to deal. But Seychelles is a low-tier offshore jurisdiction with lighter supervision, no compensation scheme, and no realistic dispute process for an overseas client.
Is Alpho a clone of another broker?
No. We ran the clone check and it passed. The licence number, the legal entity and the website on the regulator's register all match the operation we investigated. Nobody else's credentials are being used.
Why are there so many scam reports about Alpho online?
Many of them come from a small cluster of linked sites that publish near-identical fraud allegations about many companies. That pattern is associated with reputation-extortion operations, so we gave those pages no weight. The genuine criticism we found, on mainstream review platforms, is about sales pressure and trading costs rather than stolen funds.
What is the main risk with Alpho?
Aggressive sales conduct. Across 2021 to 2025, reviewers of the same company's Gulf Brokers brand consistently describe an assigned advisor who calls repeatedly to push more deposits, trades the account, and loses it, with high swap and spread charges accelerating the damage. If you use this broker, decline advisor-led trading.
What should I check before depositing with Alpho?
Confirm Octrado Ltd on the Seychelles FSA securities dealer register. Read the swap and spread costs and the inactivity fee. Refuse any bonus. Deposit a small amount first and test a withdrawal. And never let a representative trade your account or talk you into topping up.
What we recommend
The practical takeaway from everything above.
Treat Alpho as a real but high-risk offshore broker, not as a fraud.
- Check the licence yourself before depositing. Open the Seychelles FSA capital markets register, go to the Securities Dealer tab, and look for Octrado Ltd.
- Understand what SD013 buys you. It is an offshore permission with no compensation scheme. If the company fails or disputes your balance, your practical recourse is limited.
- If anyone from the firm calls you and urges you to add more money, or offers to trade the account for you, stop. That single behaviour is the source of almost every serious complaint we found against this operator.
- Refuse bonuses. Bonus terms were a recurring complaint and they can complicate withdrawals.
- Start small and test a withdrawal early, before committing meaningful capital. Keep your own record of deposits, trades and withdrawal requests.
- Watch the costs. Swap and spread charges are the most consistently criticised part of this operator's offering across both of its brands.
- If you are already in dispute, complain in writing to the firm, then to the Seychelles FSA. Do not pay any company that offers to recover your funds for an upfront fee.
