Is Archax LTD a scam?

Confirmed scamHIGH confidenceClone of Archax Ltd
Updated September 6, 2026
Identity-theft clone running an unlicensed CFD operation

Yes. We assess archax-finance.com as a scam, and the finding is not ours alone: Germany's financial regulator BaFin publicly warned about this exact website on 15 March 2024, and said the operator was providing financial and investment services without the required authorisation.

  • BaFin named the website archax-finance.com on 15 March 2024. Nine days earlier it had warned about the almost identical site archax.ltd, run under the same name.
  • The operator called itself Archax LTD, which is the exact registered name of a real, FCA-authorised London firm. BaFin stated plainly that the site has no connection to that company and that this is a case of identity theft.
  • The site published no company name of its own, no registered office and no legal notice, while asking for a 250 dollar minimum deposit, advertising leverage up to 1:500 and bonuses up to 100 percent.
  • The same operator name was already the subject of a BaFin investigation in September 2022 over an earlier trading platform, so this was not a first attempt.
  • archax-finance.com no longer resolves and the domain is no longer registered. The operation appears to have run for roughly a year and then disappeared.

Regulation

10/10 · Critical

No licence or regulator was named anywhere on the site, and BaFin warned that the operator provided financial and investment services without the required authorisation.

Identity & transparency

10/10 · Critical

No legal entity, registered office or legal notice was published, and BaFin found the operator using the exact registered name of an unrelated FCA-authorised firm, which it called identity theft.

Withdrawals & conduct

5/10 · Moderate

Isolated reports of clients losing access to funds, but no confirmed pattern: too little checkable, independent client testimony survived verification to score higher.

Reputation

8/10 · Critical

A regulator warning naming the domain, uniformly negative directory coverage, and no genuine user footprint at all: no Trustpilot page and no substantive community discussion.

Website claims

9/10 · Critical

Described itself as a large, well established international investment firm with thousands of clients while disclosing no entity, address or licence, on a domain first traceable to February 2024.

Operational history

9/10 · Critical

Verifiable presence runs only from February 2024 to early 2025, no operating company could be dated because none was disclosed, and the domain is now unregistered.

Who they are

A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.

  • Brand: Archax LTD, the name displayed on archax-finance.com.
  • Legal entity: none published. The site named no company of its own, gave no registration number and carried no legal notice.
  • Registered: no address of any kind appeared on the site. The footer heading 'Our Offices' listed no office, only a support email.
  • Website: archax-finance.com. It no longer resolves, and the domain is no longer registered. A near-identical sister site, archax.ltd, is also dead.
  • Only licence: none. No regulator, licence number or registration was named anywhere on the site, and no verification link was offered.
  • Offers: CFDs on forex, indices, cryptocurrencies, stocks and commodities through a proprietary browser platform, with leverage advertised up to 1:500, bonuses up to 100 percent, four account tiers with personal account managers, and a 250 dollar minimum deposit.
  • Not accepted: the sign-up form turned some visitors away with a message that registrations from their country were not supported.
  • Age claim: no founding year was given, but the site described itself as a large and well established international investment firm with thousands of clients. The earliest verifiable trace of the domain is February 2024.
  • Not to be confused with: Archax Ltd of 71-75 Shelton Street, London, UK company number 11302455, incorporated 10 April 2018, FCA firm reference number 838656, which trades at archax.com. That is a genuine, separate and properly authorised company, and nothing in this report is a finding against it.

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

This verdict rests on a regulator's own published findings about this exact website, not on user opinion.

  • A regulator named this domain. BaFin warned consumers about archax-finance.com on 15 March 2024, stating that the operator was providing financial and investment services on the site without the required authorisation. A warning that names the precise domain is the strongest single piece of evidence available in this kind of check.
  • The regulator called the identity use theft. On the near-identical sister site archax.ltd, BaFin recorded that the operator refers to itself as 'Archax LTD', that the site makes no reference whatsoever to a registered office or company address and contains no legal notice, and that it has no connection to the same-named company registered with the FCA. BaFin's words: this is a case of identity theft.
  • The name belongs to somebody else, and the registry proves it. Companies House lists exactly one ARCHAX LTD: number 11302455, incorporated 10 April 2018, registered at 71-75 Shelton Street, London, still active. That is the FCA-authorised firm at archax.com. The CFD site borrowed its name and supplied none of its own details.
  • There was no licence to check. Across the home, about, contact and FAQ pages the site named no regulator, no licence number and no supervising authority, while taking deposits for leveraged trading. There was nothing to verify, and nothing was claimed that could be verified.
  • A rename does not clear a history. In September 2022 BaFin was already investigating an operator calling itself Archax LTD in connection with the platform europemarket.io, which had previously traded as economix.io, and recorded the use of forged tax-authority documents and licences falsely attributed to a body called the European Finance Association. The same borrowed name reappeared on archax.ltd and archax-finance.com in early 2024. We found no evidence that those operations were ever severed.
  • The commercial profile matches the pattern, not the brand. A 250 dollar minimum deposit, leverage to 1:500, bonuses to 100 percent tied to account tiers, an intro call from a personal account manager and a proprietary browser platform with no MetaTrader server is the standard retail boiler-room configuration. The genuine Archax is an institutional digital-securities venue and custodian, which is a completely different business.
  • It advertised a history it could not support. The site called itself a large, well established international investment firm with thousands of clients. The earliest verifiable trace of the domain is a TLS certificate issued on 22 February 2024, with the first archived capture on 19 March 2024. Working captures stop in October 2024, the last certificate expires in February 2025, and the domain is now unregistered.

Our track-record figure rests on the domain alone. No operating company could be dated, because none was ever disclosed, so the age shown should be read as an upper bound rather than a settled figure.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

The case against this operation is strong, but several points genuinely cut the other way and should be on the record.

  • The FCA has not named this domain. The FCA has published three Archax clone warnings, covering archax-eu.com, archaxtrade.com and archax-global.com. archax-finance.com is not among them. The regulator warning we rely on is German, not British.
  • We did not establish a withdrawal-fraud pattern. No Trustpilot page exists for the domain, we found no Reddit discussion of it, and we could not confirm a set of specific, checkable complaints from named clients. German investor-protection coverage does report clients losing access to funds, but we could not verify those accounts against the four-axis test, so we have not scored them as a proven pattern.
  • Missing authorisation is not the same as proven theft. BaFin's finding is that the operator lacked the authorisation German law requires and that the Archax name was taken from another company. Neither statement is a court finding that client money was stolen, and we have not treated it as one.
  • Names do collide innocently. We tested that hypothesis seriously rather than assuming impersonation. It fails on the specifics: the site used the exact string 'Archax LTD' rather than a merely similar name, published no details of its own that could distinguish it, and BaFin addressed the question directly and answered it.
  • The site is gone. The domain no longer resolves and is no longer registered, so there is no live funnel taking new deposits today. The immediate danger has passed, even though anyone who deposited is still out of pocket.
  • We found no positive reviews either. The absence of praise is not evidence of good conduct, but it also means we are not dismissing a body of satisfied customers.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

Concrete things that would move this verdict, in order of weight.

  • BaFin withdrawing or correcting its 15 March 2024 warning about archax-finance.com, or publishing that the operator held the authorisation it appeared to lack.
  • Documentation showing that the operation behind archax-finance.com was in fact a licensed entity, with a company name, registration number, registered office and a licence number that resolves on the issuing regulator's own register.
  • Evidence that archax-finance.com was a genuine part of the Archax group, for example the group's own entity disclosures listing the domain, which would refute BaFin's identity-theft finding and turn this into a corporate-structure question.
  • Verified, checkable accounts from clients who were paid out in full, which would at least separate this from an operation that took deposits and did not return them.
  • Evidence that the 2022 europemarket.io operator and the 2024 Archax-named sites had different owners, a different entity and no shared infrastructure, which would sever the earlier history from this one.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

13 questions
Is Archax Finance (archax-finance.com) a scam?

We assess it as a scam. Germany's regulator BaFin warned consumers about this exact website on 15 March 2024, finding that the operator provided financial and investment services without the required authorisation. It published no company name, no registered office and no licence of its own, while taking deposits for leveraged CFD trading.

Is Archax Finance a fraud?

We assess the risk of fraud as high, and we say that as our own assessment rather than as a legal finding. What is on the public record is that BaFin found the operator acting without required authorisation and described its use of the Archax name as identity theft. We found no court judgment naming this operation.

Is this the same company as the regulated Archax?

No. Archax Ltd is a genuine London firm, UK company number 11302455, authorised by the FCA under firm reference number 838656, trading at archax.com. BaFin stated expressly that the archax.ltd and archax-finance.com sites have no connection to it and that the use of the name is identity theft.

Was Archax Finance regulated by anyone?

No. Across its home, about, contact and FAQ pages the site named no regulator, no licence number and no supervising authority, and offered no verification link. There was no licence claim to check, and BaFin found it operating in Germany without the authorisation the law requires.

Can I still withdraw my money from archax-finance.com?

The website no longer resolves and the domain is no longer registered, so there is no working platform or client area to log into. If you have a balance there, treat it as money at risk and start a chargeback or bank recall immediately, keeping all your records.

I deposited money. What should I do now?

Contact your bank or card issuer about a chargeback straight away and preserve every transfer receipt, email and chat message. Report the loss to your national police and to your financial regulator. If you are in Germany, BaFin's published warning about this site is the reference to quote.

Someone has offered to recover my funds for a fee. Should I pay?

No. People who lost money to collapsed trading sites are routinely approached again by so-called recovery services, or told that a tax, commission or release fee must be paid before funds can be sent. Any demand for an upfront payment to release your own money is itself the next stage of the scam.

How old was Archax Finance?

Much younger than it implied. The site called itself a large, well established international investment firm with thousands of clients, but the earliest verifiable trace of the domain is a security certificate from 22 February 2024, with the first archived capture on 19 March 2024. It stopped serving pages during 2025.

Who owned or operated Archax Finance?

It was never disclosed. BaFin recorded that the site made no reference whatsoever to a registered office or company address and carried no legal notice. The only contact detail published was a support email address on the site's own domain.

Had this operator done this before?

BaFin was already investigating an operator using the name Archax LTD in September 2022, in connection with the trading platform europemarket.io, which had earlier traded as economix.io. That notice records the use of forged tax-authority documents and licences falsely attributed to a body called the European Finance Association.

Why does the FCA warning list not mention archax-finance.com?

The FCA has published three Archax clone warnings, covering archax-eu.com, archaxtrade.com and archax-global.com, and this domain is not among them. Warning lists cover the cases reported to each regulator, so an absence from one list is not clearance. The warning naming this domain came from BaFin.

Were there user reviews or complaints about it?

Very few. No Trustpilot page exists for the domain and we found no substantive discussion on Reddit. Broker directories that do cover it record it as unregulated and carrying a warning. German investor-protection coverage reports clients losing access to funds, but we could not verify those individual accounts.

What should I check before depositing with any broker?

Look for a named legal entity, a company registration number, a real registered office and a licence number, then take that number to the regulator's own register and confirm it belongs to the same company and website. If a site cannot survive those four checks, as this one could not, do not fund it.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

Treat archax-finance.com as an operation to avoid, and act quickly if you sent it money.

  • Send nothing. If anyone contacts you offering an Archax trading account on any domain other than archax.com, stop and verify independently before replying.
  • If you deposited, move now. Ask your bank or card issuer about a chargeback, keep every transfer record, email and chat log, and report the loss to your national police and to the financial regulator where you live. In Germany, BaFin's warning about this site is the reference point.
  • Expect a second approach. Victims of collapsed trading sites are routinely contacted again by people offering to recover the money for an upfront fee, or claiming a tax or release payment is needed before funds can be sent. Never pay to get money back.
  • Do not confuse this with the real company. Archax Ltd, FCA firm reference number 838656, trades at archax.com. It is the company whose name was taken, not the operator of this site.
  • Check any broker yourself before depositing. A genuine firm names its legal entity, its registered office and its licence number, and links that number to the regulator's own register. This site did none of those things.

This is an independent assessment of risk, not a legal ruling. Scores and verdicts follow the Wikilix broker-safety methodology and can change as new evidence appears. Review scores are treated with caution when a broker’s reviews look manipulated. Last reviewed September 6, 2026.
