Broker Summary
What Wikilix has recorded about ATG: its history, the licences it holds, its trading conditions and its fees.
ATG Overview
ATG is Algorithmic Trading Group (ATG) Limited, an electronic proprietary trading firm with offices in Hong Kong and Amsterdam. It trades its own money in the major futures and equity markets of Europe, Asia and the Americas. It is not a retail broker: it takes no clients, offers no trading accounts and holds no client money. Its only website is .
The firm dates its start to 2009 in Hong Kong. Its website covers the company, its team, its job openings, its staff trips and its contact details. It has no account opening, no deposit page, no trading platform and no client terms.
Is ATG a Broker?
No. A notice on the ATG website calls the company "an investment firm dealing on own account" and says it has no clients and does not invest for outside investors. For this reason, no account types, spreads, leverage, trading platforms or deposit methods are listed for ATG.
Websites Using the ATG Name
The same notice warns that other websites use the company name to lure investors. It says: "The only website that is provided by our company is www.algorithmictradinggroup.com. Any websites with other extensions or similar names are not affiliated to us."
Wikilix found no legal link between Algorithmic Trading Group and atgforex.com, atgprime.com or atgcapitals.com. Those sites name companies of the separate ATG World group, such as ATG World Trading DMCC in Dubai and ATG World Markets Limited in the Seychelles. The retail accounts, MetaTrader 5 platform, payment methods and phone numbers shown on those sites do not belong to Algorithmic Trading Group.
ATG Regulation and License
The ATG website names no regulator and claims no licence. Trading its own money, the firm takes no client orders and no client money.
The register of the Dutch regulator AFM lists the group company Algorithmic Trading Group Netherlands Management B.V. in Amsterdam. Since 3 January 2018 it may deal on its own account, with a passport to 17 other European countries. This permission does not cover client business or client money. The number 39889277 is the Hong Kong business registration number of the parent company. It is not a financial licence, and Hong Kong has no regulator called the FMA.

Algorithmic Trading Group (ATG) Limited is a private company limited by shares in Hong Kong, company number 1278862. Its LEI record, 3003008MMC7OMKTV9D62, shows it as active, set up on 13 October 2008, with business registration number 39889277. The brand and the company have two start dates, and both are on record. The website speaks of its "2009 Hong Kong inception". The Hong Kong company was set up in October 2008, and a 2014 Euronext notice also says ATG was founded in October 2008 in Hong Kong.
ATG History and Team
Tom Voûte founded ATG with co-founders Bob Collin and Chun Wing Man, according to the In Memoriam page of the website. He had earlier grown a cash trading team called the Algorithmic Trading Group at IMC Trading. ATG later added desks in the Netherlands and Curacao, and in October 2014 Euronext announced it as a new cash member. Tom Voûte died in 2021. The team page names Jelper Striet as CEO and Risk Manager and Jochem van Steijn as Chief Operation Officer.
Is ATG Safe?
ATG does not take deposits, so a retail trader cannot open an account with it or send it money. Its identity matches across its website, the AFM register, its LEI records and the Euronext notice. Our published investigation found no regulator warning that names this firm or its website. Anyone asked for a deposit in the name of ATG is dealing with a different company and should check the web address.
ATG Accounts, Platforms and Funding
None. ATG offers no live or demo account, no minimum deposit, no leverage, no trading platform and no deposit or withdrawal method. Its job adverts describe automated trading strategies and in-house trading systems used by its own traders.
ATG Careers and Trader Partnership
The only offers on the website are jobs. The openings page lists a C++ Developer, a Junior Trader, an Experienced Trader and an internship, and three of these roles are in the Amsterdam office. The C++ Developer role pays 80,000 to 110,000 euros gross a year plus a discretionary bonus. Applications go by email to apply@algorithmictradinggroup.com.
The Experienced Trader page is a partnership for traders with a profitable record of at least three years. They run their own trading desk on ATG infrastructure, keep their trading IP and work with full autonomy under risk controls, for performance-based pay. It is a role at the firm, not an account for the public.
ATG Contact Details
The contact page gives one email address, emailus@algorithmictradinggroup.com, and two offices: Beursplein 5, 1012 JW Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Unit 2, 13/F, Java Road 108 Commercial Centre, 108 Java Road, Hong Kong. The notice on the website adds a Dutch phone number, +31 205 782 180. The site has no live chat, WhatsApp or social media links.
ATG Review and Assessment
ATG is a real proprietary trading firm, with a Hong Kong company set up in 2008 and a Dutch subsidiary that holds an AFM permission for own-account dealing. It is not a broker, and there is nothing here for a retail trader to open or fund. Treat any website that offers ATG accounts, MetaTrader 5 or deposits as a different company.

Regulatory Licenses
We have not confirmed any regulation for ATG. Money deposited with an unregulated broker is protected only by the company itself.

What this means for you
- No compensation scheme covers your funds.
- No regulator to escalate a complaint to.
- No audit of how client money is held.
Country availability
Where ATG says it will and won't take clients
No country restrictions on record. We looked and found nothing published — which is not the same as being open to everyone. Check ATG's terms.
How we know — 9 sources
- 1The broker's own website publishes no country policy of any kind. Its complete page list at https://www.algorithmictradinggroup.com/pages-sitemap.xml holds 15 public pages (home, about, team, five vacancy pages, three events pages, in memoriam, contact and useful links), and not one of them states an accepted, restricted or prohibited jurisdiction. All four lists are recorded empty on that basis: this records the absence of a published policy, and is not a finding that residents of every country are accepted.
- 2Client agreement and terms: not published. https://www.algorithmictradinggroup.com/terms, /terms-and-conditions, /terms-of-use, /legal, /client-agreement, /documents, /privacy and /privacy-policy each return the site's own 404 page, and no equivalent document appears in the site's page list.
- 3Dedicated countries page, FAQ and help centre: not published. /restricted-countries, /prohibited-countries, /accepted-countries, /where-we-operate and /faq each return the site's own 404 page. The site offers no search function, so its full page list was enumerated instead, and it confirms no equivalent page exists under another name.
- 4Registration form: the site has no account-opening or registration flow, no page carries a form or a country selector, and no page offers a client login. The About page at https://www.algorithmictradinggroup.com/about describes the company as "a vibrant and fast paced electronic proprietary trading firm, with offices in Amsterdam and Hong Kong" that trades "the major futures and equity markets in Europe, Asia and America", and the only applications invited anywhere on the site are job applications sent to an email address. There is therefore no onboarding country list to read.
- 5AML and KYC policy, funding pages and partner or introducing-broker terms: not published. /aml, /aml-policy, /kyc, /deposit, /withdrawal, /funding, /partners and /ib each return the site's own 404 page. The only mention of KYC anywhere on the site is a listed duty in the Middle Office Analyst vacancy at https://www.algorithmictradinggroup.com/general-4-1, which is a job description and not a client policy.
- 6Permitted-territory filings: the site names no financial regulator or supervisory authority on any of its pages, so there is no permitted-jurisdiction filing to read for the operating entity. Nothing here was treated as a licence finding.
- 7Footer disclaimer and language variants: every page carries the same single footer line, "@2022 Algorithmic Trading Group (ATG) Limited | All Rights Reserved". The site has no risk disclaimer; the notice below says whom it does not serve. The site is published in English only, with no locale-prefixed variants (/fa and /fa-ir return the 404 page) and no alternate-language markup.
- 8Every page opens a "Disclaimer" notice that reads: "It has come to our attention that there are different websites using our company name to lure (international) investors. The only website that is provided by our company is www.algorithmictradinggroup.com. Any websites with other extensions or similar names are not affiliated to us. The Algorithmic Trading Group (ATG) Limited is an investment firm dealing on own account. As such, it doesn't have any clients nor does it invest on behalf of (external) investors."
- 9No country is shown as accepted. The broker's own pages never state that residents of any country are accepted, and the lack of a restriction is not acceptance.

No. Algorithmic Trading Group (ATG) Limited is an electronic proprietary trading firm. It trades the major futures and equity markets in Europe, Asia and the Americas with its own money. A notice on its website says it is "an investment firm dealing on own account", with no clients, and that websites with similar names are not affiliated with it. By email at emailus@algorithmictradinggroup.com, the address on its contact page. A notice on the website also gives the Dutch phone number +31 205 782 180. ATG is not a broker, and its website names no regulator and claims no licence. It calls itself an investment firm dealing on own account, with no clients. The number 39889277 is the Hong Kong business registration number of the parent company. It is not an FMA licence, and Hong Kong has no regulator called the FMA.
