Independent safety report

Is ATROPI a scam?

High risk (unverified)MEDIUM confidence
Offshore MISA-licensed broker, high risk (no fraud finding)

Atropi is not a proven scam, but we rate it high risk: its only licence is from Mwali (MISA), which the Comoros central bank has disowned.

  • Licence: ATROPI LTD holds MISA licence T2023422, issued on 11 December 2023 and listed by MISA with the website atropi.com. It brings no compensation scheme and no recognised supervisor.
  • Complaints: one detailed September 2025 report says trades were reset, equity was set to zero and account access was cut off. It is a single account, so the pattern is unconfirmed.
  • Terms and payments: the client agreement lets Atropi cancel profits and reject withdrawals after a compliance review, and deposits run on crypto and Perfect Money, which cannot be reversed.
  • No warnings: the FCA register and IOSCO's I-SCAN database hold no warning on Atropi, and we found no enforcement action or fraud finding against ATROPI LTD.

5/10 · Moderate

Entity, company number, licence and website match MISA's record, but owners, directors and any operating office are undisclosed.

One detailed September 2025 report of reset trades and zeroed equity; pattern unconfirmed, but the terms allow profit cancellation at withdrawal.

Licences the broker publishes

VerifiedTier 4 (offshore, not recognised by the Comoros state)Offshore
An offshore brokerage licence from the autonomous island of Mwali (Moheli). The Central Bank of the Comoros said in June 2022 that MISA has no authority to license financial institutions, so the licence brings no recognised supervision or compensation.
Protection: None in practice: no compensation scheme and no recognised supervisor

UnverifiedNot a forex licence
A company registration for the predecessor entity ATROPI LLC (949 LLC 2021), which the site described in 2021 as an SVG FSA licence. The SVG FSA registers companies but does not license or supervise forex brokers. The current site no longer makes this claim.

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

We rate Atropi high risk at 56%. The rating rests on a weak licence, a website that oversells it, terms that allow profits to be cancelled and one serious complaint. We found no proof that the broker takes client money.

  • A real but weak licence. ATROPI LTD's MISA licence T2023422 exists and matches the broker's name, company number and website. But the Central Bank of the Comoros does not recognise MISA, so the licence brings no real supervision and no compensation scheme.
  • Overstated regulation, then and now. The site sells MISA as 'strict global regulation'. In December 2021 it went further, calling Saint Vincent company number 949 LLC 2021 an 'SVG FSA' licence and claiming '12 years of achievements' for a domain registered nine months earlier.
  • One serious complaint. In September 2025 a trader reported that all trades were reset, equity was set to zero, account access was blocked and support tickets were deleted. It is one person's account with no amounts given, so the pattern is unconfirmed. Atropi has not answered it publicly.
  • Terms that permit the same outcome. The Platinum Account terms let Atropi withhold withdrawals over short-term trading, and adjust or cancel profits in a compliance review at withdrawal time.
  • Irreversible payment rails. Retail deposits go in by crypto or Perfect Money. Bank wire is offered only above $50,000.
  • The track record is an upper bound. atropi.com was registered on 17 March 2021, and the brand has traded since 2021, first as ATROPI LLC in Saint Vincent. We could not establish an incorporation date for ATROPI LTD or ATROPI LLC, so the figure of roughly five and a half years rests on the domain alone.
  • What we did not find. No regulator warning, no borrowed licence, no advance-fee demand and no enforcement action. That is why Atropi is not rated a likely scam.
  • Scorecard. Regulation 7 and identity 5 count double; complaints 5, reputation 5, website claims 7 and history 4 count once. The weighted mean is 5.6, which gives 56%.

8 against5 in favour
  • E1Atropi's homepage and About page state that ATROPI LTD, company number HY01223067, holds MISA licence T2023422, and invite clients to 'trade with confidence under strict global regulation'. The site publishes no link to MISA's register.

  • E2MISA's own licence verification page, archived on 24 February 2025, lists ATROPI LTD, company number HY01223067, licence T2023422, status Active, issued 11 December 2023, end date 11 December 2025, website atropi.com. Entity and domain match the broker, so this is not a borrowed licence.

  • E3In a June 2022 communique, republished by the Ministry of Finance in December 2025, the Central Bank of the Comoros listed MISA among fictitious structures claiming to issue financial licences. A MISA licence therefore carries no recognised supervision.

  • E4The FCA Financial Services Register returns no authorised or unauthorised firm for 'atropi' or 'atropi.com'. Its only unauthorised entry using the CMC Markets name, 'CMC GLOBAL MARKETS', lists cmcglobalmarkets.com and cmcgm.org, not atropi.com.

  • E5IOSCO's I-SCAN database, which collects warnings from member regulators including the FCA, returns no warnings for 'atropi'.

    ModerateIOSCO I-SCAN
  • E6A review site states that the FCA listed Atropi as a clone of CMC Markets UK plc (FRN 173730) operating atropi.com. No FCA register entry supports this, so the claim is given no weight.

  • E7The registry record shows atropi.com was registered on 17 March 2021 through NameCheap, and the earliest TLS certificate for the domain is dated the same day. A second domain, atropifx.com, was registered on 24 December 2024 and appears on an atropi.com certificate.

  • E8The archived homepage of 9 December 2021 reads 'ATROPI is a trading name of ATROPI LLC registered in Saint Vincent and regulated with SVG FSA with licence number 949 LLC 2021' and boasts 'Our 12 years of achievements'. The SVG FSA does not license forex brokers, 949 LLC 2021 is a company registration number, and the domain was then nine months old.

  • E9By 11 November 2023 the footer read 'ATROPI LLC registered in Saint Vincent with registration number 949 LLC 2021', with the licence wording removed. The MISA licence for ATROPI LTD followed on 11 December 2023, linking both entities to one brand and domain.

  • E10Trustpilot lists 7 reviews for atropi.com with a TrustScore of 3.0: 57% one-star and 43% five-star, none in the last 12 months, and no company replies. A September 2025 review from Iran says all trades were reset, equity was set to zero, account access was blocked and tickets were deleted, and it names a broker representative. Two of the three five-star reviews come from reviewers in Turkey who share a surname.

  • E11Client agreement sections 26.1 to 26.4 (Platinum Account, updated 14 February 2026) let Atropi withhold or delay withdrawals if more than 2% of volume is in positions held under 5 minutes, and adjust or cancel profits or reject withdrawals after a compliance review at withdrawal. Section 4.9 charges dormant accounts after three months of inactivity.

  • E12The payments page lists eight cryptocurrencies and Perfect Money for deposits, with bank wire only for VIP deposits above $50,000. None of these offers a card-style chargeback, although the client agreement also lists debit and credit cards.

  • E13All four awards on the awards page (Best Broker in the Middle East, Best MT5 Forex Broker, Best Forex Education Provider and Best Forex Broker, all 2023) come from one website, Forex Daily Info, yet the homepage calls them '4 international awards'.

  • E14The About page claims 'offices in more than seven key regions' but gives no address beyond the Mwali registered address, and shows both '2+ years' and 'over five years' of experience on the same page.

  • E15The contact page gives a UK number, +44 1223 926506, and four atropi.com mailboxes. No UK entity or UK address is disclosed, and the claimed Trustpilot profile lists Turkey as the contact country.

  • E16Atropi's MetaTrader 5 installers are served from MetaQuotes' official download network under the name atropi.ltd, with the server 'Atropi-Server'. That points to a real MT5 trading operation rather than a fake platform.

  • E17One user comment on BrokersView (October 2024) reports three years of trading with Atropi and good service. The page covers atropi.com.

  • E18Atropi's X account, @Atropifx, joined in August 2025 and has 4 posts and 3 followers. Its YouTube channel is titled 'Atropi Broker'. The social footprint is minimal.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

The strongest case for Atropi is that it is a small but real offshore broker, not a front.

  • Its company name, company number, licence number and website match across its own site, its client agreement and MISA's record. There is no sign of a borrowed identity.
  • No regulator warning names Atropi. The FCA register and IOSCO's I-SCAN database both come back empty, and a review site's claim that the FCA called it a CMC Markets clone does not match any FCA record.
  • It runs its own MetaTrader 5 server, 'Atropi-Server', and its installers come from MetaQuotes' official download network.
  • The brand has used the same name and domain since 2021. By late 2023 it had stopped calling its Saint Vincent company number a licence.
  • Several reviews say deposits and withdrawals go through quickly, and one reviewer describes holding about $60,000 with the broker.
  • The harshest clauses sit in the Platinum Account terms, which come with a 30% bonus. Many brokers restrict bonus accounts in similar ways.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

Specific changes that can be checked would move this rating either way.

  • Lower risk: a licence from a recognised regulator, held by the entity that takes client money.
  • Lower risk: named directors and owners, and a real office address that can be checked.
  • Lower risk: MISA's live register confirming renewal past 11 December 2026, and a public, documented resolution of the September 2025 complaint.
  • Higher risk: more independent reports of reset trades, cancelled profits or refused withdrawals, especially with amounts and dates.
  • Higher risk: any regulator warning naming atropi.com or ATROPI LTD, or the licence lapsing while the site still advertises it.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

13 questions
Is Atropi a scam?

Atropi is not a proven scam, but we rate it high risk. Its only licence comes from MISA on the island of Mwali, which the Central Bank of the Comoros has disowned, and one detailed complaint describes zeroed equity and a blocked account. We found no regulator warning naming the broker.

Is Atropi a fraud?

We found no regulator warning, enforcement action or court finding of fraud against Atropi or ATROPI LTD. That does not make it safe. The licence is weak, the terms let the broker cancel profits at withdrawal, and one client reports having equity wiped and access blocked.

Is Atropi regulated?

Only offshore. ATROPI LTD holds licence T2023422 from the Mwali International Services Authority (MISA) in the Comoros, issued on 11 December 2023. MISA's verification page listed it in February 2025, and a third-party broker directory shows it renewed to 11 December 2026. No major regulator, such as the FCA, CySEC or ASIC, authorises Atropi.

What is a MISA licence worth?

Very little as protection. MISA is the registrar of the autonomous island of Mwali. In June 2022 the Central Bank of the Comoros said bodies like MISA have no power to license financial institutions, and the Ministry of Finance repeated the warning in December 2025. There is no compensation scheme and no recognised authority to take a complaint to.

Who owns Atropi?

The contracting company is ATROPI LTD, company number HY01223067, registered at Bonovo Road, Fomboni, on Moheli in the Comoros. Atropi does not name its directors or owners. Its UK phone number and the Turkey contact country on its Trustpilot profile suggest it is run from elsewhere, but no operating office is disclosed.

How long has Atropi been in business?

Since 2021. The domain atropi.com was registered on 17 March 2021, and archived pages from December 2021 show the brand trading under ATROPI LLC of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The current company, ATROPI LTD, has held its MISA licence since December 2023.

Can I withdraw my money from Atropi?

Some clients say withdrawals are quick, and the site promises same-day processing for requests made before 12:00 GMT. But one detailed September 2025 complaint says trades were reset and equity set to zero, and the client agreement lets Atropi adjust or cancel profits and reject withdrawals after a compliance review. Test a small withdrawal before depositing more.

Is my money safe with Atropi?

Not in any protected sense. The terms say client money is held in segregated accounts, but no recognised regulator checks this and there is no compensation scheme. Deposits go in by crypto or Perfect Money, which cannot be reversed if something goes wrong.

Is Atropi a clone of CMC Markets?

We found no evidence of that. One review site says the FCA named Atropi a clone of CMC Markets UK plc, but the FCA register has no entry for Atropi or atropi.com, and IOSCO's I-SCAN database lists no warning. Atropi presents its own company and MISA licence, not CMC's details.

What payment methods does Atropi accept?

Eight cryptocurrencies, including BTC, ETH, USDT and USDC, plus Perfect Money for regular deposits. Bank wire is available only for VIP deposits above $50,000. The minimum deposit is $10 on the Nano account, and crypto or voucher payments cannot be charged back.

Was Atropi ever regulated in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines?

No. In 2021 the site described ATROPI LLC's Saint Vincent company number, 949 LLC 2021, as an SVG FSA licence. The SVG FSA registers companies but does not license forex brokers, and the site had dropped that wording by late 2023.

What should I check before depositing with Atropi?

Read sections 4.9 and 26.1 to 26.4 of the client agreement, turn down bonuses you do not need, and make a small test withdrawal first. After 11 December 2026, check whether the MISA licence was renewed. Keep screenshots of your trades, balance and support tickets.

What should I do if I lost money with Atropi?

Ask Atropi in writing for the exact clause behind any cancelled profit or refused withdrawal, and keep copies of everything. Report the case to the financial regulator and the police where you live. Ignore anyone who offers to recover your funds for an upfront fee.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

Treat any money you send to Atropi as money you may not be able to get back.

  • Do not count on the MISA licence. There is no compensation scheme and no recognised regulator to complain to.
  • Before opening an account, read sections 4.9 and 26.1 to 26.4 of the client agreement, and turn down any bonus you do not need.
  • Deposit a small amount first and complete a withdrawal before adding more.
  • Keep your own records: trade history, balance screenshots, deposit transaction IDs and every support ticket.
  • After 11 December 2026, check that the MISA licence was renewed.
  • If a withdrawal is refused, ask in writing which clause was applied. Never pay a 'recovery' service upfront.
