Clovergate Capital's public legal shelf holds two files: an anti money laundering policy addressed to its own staff, and a disclaimer for social trading. The client agreement you sign sits on its login subdomain, and no page on the site links to it.
Why this matters
You send money under terms you cannot see. Nothing Clovergate Capital publishes states a fee, a withdrawal deadline, or a way to complain.
Exhibit 1Every flagged clause gets its own number so you can point at this one. The number does not change, so a link to it keeps working.CriticalHow much this clause can cost you, in our reading. Critical can take your money or your profit. Warning can delay or limit it. Notice is simply worth knowing before you sign.Rarely seenHow ordinary this wording looks next to the contracts we read. This is our reading of the clause, not a count of other brokers.2The figure this clause puts a number on, taken from the broker's own words.
This policy applies to all Clovergate Capital Limited officers, employees, appointed producers and products and services offered by Clovergate Capital.
Firms licensed by the FCA and CySEC must give a retail client the terms of business before the client is bound, with a costs disclosure and a complaints procedure. Clovergate Capital publishes an AML policy written for its own officers and employees, and a disclaimer covering one product.
CloverGate Capital is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.
Our readingOur own comment on the clause, not the broker's words. Anything we quote is marked as a quotation.A broker that publishes no client agreement at all is unusual. The file exists on the portal subdomain, and a prospective client is never shown it, so the terms that decide fees, withdrawal timing and disputes are agreed before they can be read.
- Worse together with Exhibit 3Read these two clauses together. Each one costs more because the other exists. With no client agreement published, the freezing clause in an AML policy is the only rule about your money that you can actually read.
