Risk scorecard
Each area is scored 0 (clean) to 10 (worst). Higher means more risk.
Regulation
9/10 · CriticalOn Japan's Kanto Local Finance Bureau warning list for unregistered solicitation; only claimed licence (Comoros MISA BFX2025011) not confirmable on MISA's own register, and MISA is a disavowed near-worthless registrar.
Identity & transparency
7/10 · HighRebranded from a warned St. Vincent entity to a new Comoros shell; the warned addresses were flagged by the regulator as possibly false; no verifiable physical presence.
Withdrawals & conduct
5/10 · ModerateFund-integrity reports (account freezes, long withdrawal delays) plus a sole-discretion account-blocking clause, but the pattern rests on aggregator and affiliate sources rather than confirmed first-person specifics.
Reputation
7/10 · HighSits on a national regulator warning list and draws negative Japanese coverage (withdrawal refusal, called malicious); thin independent footprint with no verified trading-record reviews.
Website claims
7/10 · HighClaims MISA authorisation and compliance with international standards while operating unregistered in its main market and quoting a licence we could not confirm; omits Japan from restricted countries despite the warning.
Operational history
4/10 · ModerateDomain leg dates to 2022 (about four years, an upper bound as the offshore entities could not be dated), but the operation churned brand and jurisdiction in 2025.
Who they are

Why we reached this verdict
How the evidence adds up.
We reached a likely-scam rating for reasons that build on each other.
- A national regulator named this operator. Japan's Kanto Local Finance Bureau published a warning on 21 June 2023 against CRYPTOGRAPH LIMITED for carrying out over-the-counter derivatives solicitation over the internet without registration. The notice also states the operator's stated name and addresses may be false.
- The operation rebranded but did not sever its past. cryptograph.finance now redirects to edge-graph.com, and the EdgeGraph pages still carry the クリプトグラフ brand. Changing the name and moving the shell company from St. Vincent to the Comoros does not clear the earlier warning.
- The only licence cannot be confirmed. The site claims MISA licence BFX2025011. MISA's own authorised-brokerage register lists 120 brokerage licences but none issued in 2025 and no EdgeGraph entry, so we could not verify the licence on the issuer's own record. Even if it exists, MISA is an offshore registrar that has been disavowed by the Comoros central bank and offers clients no compensation scheme.
- It solicits where it is not allowed. The site is in Japanese, quotes prices in yen and offers 1000x leverage, while Japan caps retail forex leverage at 25x and requires local registration. Japan is missing from the broker's own list of restricted countries.
- Withdrawal concerns exist. A third-party broker review and several Japanese sources report account freezes, long withdrawal delays and unreachable support, and the terms let the company decide on its own whether conduct is prohibited without explaining its reasons.
The regulator warning is a hard, primary-source finding. On our aggregation rules a single hard warning-list hit plus an unsevered rebrand carries the score to at least 70. The domain has existed since 2022, so this is not a brand-new operation, which is why the figure is not higher. We could not independently prove systematic theft of funds, which is why the confidence is medium rather than high.
Note on operating history: the 4.5-year track record rests on domain registration alone. No company incorporation date could be established, so this is an upper bound rather than a confirmed age.

Every finding, with its source and how strongly it points.
E1Japan's Kanto Local Finance Bureau warning dated 21 June 2023 names CRYPTOGRAPH LIMITED as an unregistered financial instruments business conducting over-the-counter derivatives solicitation over the internet, with addresses in St. Vincent and Panama that the notice says may be false.
Hard proofJapan FSA / Kanto Local Finance BureauE2The anchor domain cryptograph.finance (registered 2022) issues a 301 redirect to edge-graph.com (registered 2025), which presents as EdgeGraph FX Limited while retaining the クリプトグラフ (Cryptograph) brand, showing a rebrand of the same operation after the warning.
StrongLive site and RDAPE3MISA's own authorised-brokerage register lists 120 brokerage licences but none issued in 2025 and no EdgeGraph FX entry, so the claimed licence BFX2025011 could not be confirmed on the issuer's own record; MISA also warns that firms not on its list are scams.
E4The broker markets to Japanese residents (Japanese-language site, JPY base currency, @edgegraph_jp) with leverage up to 1000x, while Japan is absent from its own restricted-countries list, even though Japan caps retail forex leverage at 25x and requires local registration.
E5A third-party broker review documents account-freeze and long withdrawal-delay complaints and unreachable support, and rates the broker 4.2/10, corroborating fund-access concerns reported across Japanese sources.
E6The operator runs a real MetaTrader 5 platform with detailed account, deposit and support pages, indicating an operating brokerage rather than a purely fake platform.
The other side
The strongest case in this broker’s favour.
In fairness, several points cut the other way and we weighed them.
- An offshore licence is not automatically fraud. Hundreds of brokers operate on weak Comoros, Seychelles or Vanuatu registrations without stealing client money.
- The firm runs a real MetaTrader 5 platform and a detailed Japanese support and education site, which a pure fake platform usually does not build.
- The core domain has been registered since 2022, so this is an established operation rather than a domain thrown up last month.
- A third-party broker review states the MISA entry matches the current domain, so the licence may genuinely exist even though we could not confirm it on MISA's own list.
- The heavier complaints we found sit on affiliate and review sites rather than first-person accounts with amounts, dates and ticket numbers, so the withdrawal-fraud pattern is reported but not fully proven.
What would change this
What we would need to see to revise the verdict.
Our view would move if new facts appeared.
- Toward safer: the Japanese authorities withdrawing the CRYPTOGRAPH warning, or the operator obtaining and evidencing a licence from a mainstream regulator such as the Japan FSA, FCA, ASIC or CySEC covering the entity that holds client money.
- Toward safer: the MISA register publishing BFX2025011 for EdgeGraph FX with the matching domain, confirming the licence is genuinely on record.
- Toward worse: a fresh cluster of specific, first-person withdrawal-refusal reports with amounts and dates across independent platforms, or a demand for an extra payment to release funds, which would move this to a confirmed scam.
- Toward worse: a warning naming edge-graph.com directly, or evidence the MISA number belongs to a different company.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about this broker’s safety.
Is Cryptograph (EdgeGraph FX) a scam?
We rate it a likely scam. Japan's Kanto Local Finance Bureau publicly warned against CRYPTOGRAPH LIMITED for unregistered solicitation, the operation has rebranded to EdgeGraph FX in the Comoros, and its only licence cannot be confirmed. That combination makes it unsafe for deposits.
Is Cryptograph / EdgeGraph FX regulated?
Not in any meaningful way. It claims a Comoros MISA licence (BFX2025011) that we could not find on MISA's own register, and MISA offers clients almost no protection. It is not registered with the Japan FSA, where it actively markets.
Are Cryptograph and EdgeGraph FX the same company?
Yes. The old site cryptograph.finance now redirects to edge-graph.com, and the EdgeGraph pages still use the クリプトグラフ (Cryptograph) brand. The operation renamed itself and moved its shell company from St. Vincent to the Comoros.
Can I withdraw my money from this broker?
There is real doubt. A third-party review and several Japanese sources report frozen accounts, long withdrawal delays and unreachable support, and the terms let the company block conduct at its sole discretion without explaining why. We could not confirm reliable payouts.
Is my money safe with EdgeGraph FX?
We would not treat it as safe. There is no mainstream regulator, no compensation scheme, and the operator is on a national warning list. If the firm refuses to pay, there is no realistic authority to force it.
Who owns Cryptograph / EdgeGraph FX?
The current operating entity is EdgeGraph FX Limited, said to be registered in the Comoros (number HT00225001). The predecessor was CRYPTOGRAPH LIMITED, linked in the Japanese regulator notice to addresses in St. Vincent and Panama, which the notice says may be false.
How old is this broker?
The cryptograph.finance domain was registered in 2022, so the operation is a few years old. The EdgeGraph name and the edge-graph.com domain only appeared in 2025, so the current brand is new even though the operation is not.
What is a MISA licence and is it worth anything?
MISA is a registrar on the autonomous Comoros island of Mohéli. It is not a functioning financial supervisor, the Comoros central bank has disavowed its licences, and it provides no compensation or real oversight. A MISA licence gives a client very little protection.
Why does Japan's regulator warn about this broker?
On 21 June 2023 the Kanto Local Finance Bureau named CRYPTOGRAPH LIMITED for offering over-the-counter derivatives to Japanese residents over the internet without the registration Japanese law requires. Serving Japanese clients without that registration is illegal in Japan.
Is EdgeGraph FX a clone of a well-known broker?
No. It is not impersonating a famous regulated firm. It is its own offshore brand that carries a real regulator warning and an unverifiable licence.
Is 1000x leverage safe?
It is extremely risky. Leverage that high can wipe out your balance on a small price move, which is exactly why regulators like Japan's cap retail forex leverage at 25x. Offering 1000x to retail clients is a red flag, not a benefit.
What should I do if I already deposited and cannot get my money out?
Stop sending any further payments, including any fee or tax someone says is needed to release funds. Save all records, contact your bank or card issuer about a possible chargeback, and report the operator to your local financial regulator. Avoid upfront-fee recovery services, which are usually a second scam.
What should I check before depositing with any broker?
Confirm the licence number on the regulator's own website, check that the company holding your money is licensed in a strong jurisdiction, search for independent withdrawal reviews, and be wary of very high leverage, bonus lock-ins and offshore-only registration.
What we recommend
The practical takeaway from everything above.
Treat this broker as high risk and do not deposit.
- Do not send money to EdgeGraph FX or Cryptograph; a broker on a national regulator's unregistered-operator list is not a safe place for funds.
- If you are in Japan, note the operator is not registered with the Japan FSA and appears on the Kanto Local Finance Bureau warning list.
- If you already deposited and cannot withdraw, stop sending further payments, gather your transaction records, and contact your bank or card issuer and your local financial regulator.
- Ignore anyone who contacts you offering to recover your funds for an upfront fee, as that is a common follow-up scam.
