Reputation
6/10 · HighMixed and unconfirmed scam allegations, heavy self-promoted SEO, but no police or SFC warning-list hit.
Website claims
8/10 · CriticalExplicit false claims of Hong Kong government regulation and full government qualification, plus implied exchange membership it does not hold.
Operational history
6/10 · HighGenuinely long-running: domain online since at least 2013 and real corporate entities, which is the main mitigating factor.
Who they are
A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.
- Brand: 大田环球 / 大田金业 (Datian Global Precious Metals)

- Registered: Hong Kong companies; office at Room 2306, 23/F, COSCO Tower, 183 Queen's Road Central, Hong Kong
- Website: www.202.hk (mobile m.202.hk)
- Regulation: None. Not a Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange member and not supervised by any Hong Kong financial regulator
- Offers: Leveraged spot gold and silver (London Gold and Silver) on MetaTrader 4, minimum deposit 30 US dollars, minimum 0.01 lot

Why we reached this verdict
How the evidence adds up.
We reached a likely-scam verdict because the operation makes regulatory claims that are simply false, while taking client money for leveraged trading.
- No real regulation. In Hong Kong, leveraged spot gold and silver trading is not licensed by the Securities and Futures Commission or any other government financial regulator. The only self-regulatory framework is the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange. We searched its full member roster and Datian, CIDT and Global Bullion do not appear anywhere.
- A false government-regulation claim. The About page states the firm has Hong Kong business registration and is regulated by the Hong Kong SAR government, and another page says it holds full qualification certification from the Hong Kong government. A business registration is a tax record, not financial supervision. The site's own jurisdiction disclaimer admits it does not provide services where they require licensing the company does not hold.
- A borrowed membership identity. The brand and its domain (202.hk) are built on the idea that it is Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange member No. 202. On the exchange's own register, member No. 202 is Central Bullion Limited, a different company with a different address, website and director.
- It takes deposits. Clients fund real margin accounts from 30 US dollars and trade on MetaTrader 4, so client money is at stake behind these false claims.
- Complaints exist but are unconfirmed. Chinese-language posts allege sales staff pushing frequent trading and a spread taken on deposit and withdrawal currency conversion. We could not confirm a clear, repeated withdrawal-denial pattern, and the common word 大田 makes some hits hard to attribute, so we treat these as moderate signals only.
Note on operating history: the 13.2-year track record rests on domain registration alone. No company incorporation date could be established, so this is an upper bound rather than a confirmed age.
Evidence ledger
Every finding, with its source and how strongly it points.
E1202.hk is 大田环球/大田金业, with site copyright 大田金銀業集團有限公司 (CIDT Group Limited) and the operating entity CIDT Global Bullion Limited named in the English risk warning; ties the case to the identity anchor.
E2The operation is not a member of the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange; a search of the full member roster returns no Datian, CIDT or Global Bullion entry, so it operates outside the only self-regulatory framework for Hong Kong bullion dealers.
E3Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange member No. 202, which the Datian brand and its 202.hk domain are built around, actually belongs to Central Bullion Limited (different address, website zrgold202.com and director), so the membership identity is not this firm's.
E4The site claims it has Hong Kong business registration and is regulated by the Hong Kong SAR government, and elsewhere that it holds full Hong Kong government qualification, none of which is financial regulation of leveraged bullion trading.
E5The English jurisdiction disclaimer states services are not provided where they require licensing the company does not hold, an admission that it holds no such licensing.
ModerateBroker website footer disclaimerE6The platform takes real client deposits from 30 US dollars for leveraged spot gold and silver on MetaTrader 4, so client money is held for live trading behind the regulatory claims.
E7The 202.hk website has operated continuously since at least June 2013, showing an established operation rather than a new throwaway site.
ModerateWeb archive history for 202.hkE8As of the checks, 202.hk and the Datian/CIDT names are not on the Hong Kong Police list of fraudulent investment platforms and not on the SFC Alert List.
E9Chinese-language posts allege sales staff inducing frequent trading and a spread taken on deposit and withdrawal currency conversion leading to losses; specificity and independent attribution are limited, and the common word 大田 makes some hits hard to attribute.
The other side
The strongest case in this broker’s favour.
In fairness, several things point the other way and stop this being a confirmed scam.
- This is a real, long-standing business, not a throwaway site. The domain has operated continuously since at least 2013, and it is run by genuine Hong Kong companies (the CIDT / 大田 group) with a physical office in a central business tower.
- Hong Kong genuinely has no licensing regime for leveraged spot bullion outside exchange membership, so being unlicensed is partly structural, the same position as many offshore brokers, rather than proof of theft.
- It is not on the Hong Kong Police Anti-Deception list of fraudulent platforms or on the SFC Alert List as of our checks.
- The site advertises fast withdrawals and posts risk warnings, and we did not find a large, specific, time-clustered set of withdrawal-refusal reports of the kind seen in outright exit scams.
- The firm even publishes a notice warning consumers about fake sites impersonating its brand, which fits a real operator protecting its name.
What would change this
What we would need to see to revise the verdict.
Our view would move with the following.
- Toward safer: a genuine entry for this exact entity on the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange member register, or a real trading licence from a recognised financial regulator, with the entity and domain matching.
- Toward safer: the site dropping the false claim of Hong Kong government regulation and the implied member-No.-202 status.
- Toward worse (confirmed scam): a Hong Kong Police, SFC or Mainland regulator warning naming 202.hk or the CIDT / 大田 entities.
- Toward worse: several independent, dated, specific reports of refused or reversed withdrawals, or any demand for an extra fee or tax before releasing funds.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about this broker’s safety.
Is Datian Global (202.hk) a scam?
We rate it a likely scam. It is not a fake overnight site, but it takes client money for leveraged trading while making false claims about being regulated by the Hong Kong government and about holding an exchange membership that belongs to another company.
Is Datian Global regulated?
No. Leveraged spot gold and silver trading is not licensed by any Hong Kong government financial regulator, and Datian is not a member of the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange, the only self-regulatory body for this business.
The site says it is regulated by the Hong Kong government. Is that true?
No. What it has is a Hong Kong business registration, which is a tax record any company gets. That is not financial regulation. Its own disclaimer admits it holds no licensing.
What is the CGSE member No. 202 claim about?
The brand and its domain 202.hk imply it is Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange member No. 202. On the exchange register, member No. 202 is Central Bullion Limited, a different firm. Datian is not a member at all.
Can I withdraw my money from Datian Global?
The site advertises fast withdrawals, but because the firm is unregulated there is no supervisor to help if a withdrawal is delayed or refused. There are complaints about a spread taken on deposit and withdrawal currency conversion. Withdraw any balance promptly.
Is my money safe there?
Client money is not protected by any statutory compensation scheme or financial regulator. The company claims segregated accounts, but there is no independent supervision confirming it, so treat funds as at risk.
Who owns and runs it?
It is run by the Hong Kong CIDT / 大田 group. The site copyright names 大田金銀業集團有限公司 (CIDT Group Limited), while the English risk warning names CIDT Global Bullion Limited as the operating company.
How old is the company?
The group claims it was founded in 2001, but we could only verify the platform operating online from about 2013. That is still a long track record, so age is not the concern here.
Is it a clone of another broker?
It does not copy a famous tier-1 broker. Instead it borrows an exchange membership number (No. 202) that belongs to Central Bullion Limited. It also publishes notices warning that other sites impersonate its own brand.
What should I check before depositing with any bullion platform?
Confirm the exact company is on the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange member register, check for a real financial licence, search regulator and police warning lists, and be wary of any site claiming government regulation without a verifiable licence number.
What do I do if I was already scammed?
Stop depositing, try to withdraw your balance, keep all records, and report to the Hong Kong Police Anti-Deception Coordination Centre and your local police. Ignore anyone who offers to recover your funds for an upfront fee.
What we recommend
The practical takeaway from everything above.
Treat this platform as high risk and do not deposit.
- Do not fund an account. Client money would sit with an unregulated dealer that misstates its regulatory status.
- Do not rely on the claim of Hong Kong government regulation or on any suggestion that it is exchange member No. 202. Verify membership yourself on the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange register.
- If you already deposited, try to withdraw the full balance now and stop trading, and keep records of every transaction and chat.
- If a withdrawal is blocked or you are asked to pay a fee or tax to release funds, report it to the Hong Kong Police Anti-Deception Coordination Centre and your local police.
