Is DeltaFX a scam?

High risk (unverified)MEDIUM confidence
Updated September 9, 2026
Offshore broker with a documented withdrawal-refusal pattern

DeltaFX is a real, long-running broker, but we rate it high risk: its only licence is a disavowed Anjouan approval and clients repeatedly report blocked withdrawals.

  • The single licence, Anjouan (Comoros) number L16182/DFX, is genuine and shows as Active on the verification page the broker links from its own site, with an end date of 20 October 2026. It is also close to worthless. Comorian banking law dissolved that authority and the Banque Centrale des Comores has named it among fictitious structures claiming to license financial institutions.
  • The Financial Commission, the industry dispute body DeltaFX joined in 2018, expelled it on 31 October 2024 after what it called numerous failures to comply with its rules. Its page for the broker now reads: Compensation Fund, YOU ARE NOT PROTECTED.
  • Across Trustpilot, ForexPeaceArmy and a third-party broker directory we counted 14 separate clients describing one sequence: a profit, a withdrawal refused for alleged arbitrage or a rule breach, then a suspended account and no return of the deposit.
  • Trustpilot rates deltafx.com 1.9 out of 5 from 23 reviews, 83 per cent of them one star, and the company has not replied to the negative ones.
  • No regulator warning names deltafx.com. The FCA notice headed DELTA FX is about delta-fx.org, and the Italian and Spanish notices are about deltafxmarkets.com. Those are different companies and their records are not counted here.

Risk scorecard

Each area is scored 0 (clean) to 10 (worst). Higher means more risk.

Worst area: Critical
SeverityLowModerateHighCritical

Regulation

7/10 · High

One licence only, confirmed active on the issuer's register, but issued by a body Comorian law dissolved and the central bank calls fictitious, with no segregation, compensation or enforcement behind it.

Identity & transparency

6/10 · High

Entity, registration number, registered office and a working register link are all published, yet the Saint Lucia company cannot be confirmed on any public registry, ownership is undisclosed and the entity has changed jurisdiction twice in two years.

Withdrawals & conduct

8/10 · Critical

Fourteen fund-integrity reports on three platforms describing one mechanism, with amounts, dates and account numbers; short of the top band only because some clients confirm being paid and nobody reported an advance-fee demand.

Reputation

8/10 · Critical

Trustpilot 1.9 out of 5 with 83 per cent one star and no replies to negative reviews, plus expulsion from the industry dispute body in October 2024; no statutory regulator warning names this domain.

Website claims

6/10 · High

Markets a disavowed Anjouan approval as valid regulation by reputable international financial authorities, credits it to the wrong Comorian authority on the homepage, and calls a Saint Lucia company registration a licence.

Operational history

3/10 · Low

Genuinely long-running: domain from 2002, DeltaFX broker pages in the public archive from 2011, corporate presence from 2018; marked up slightly for the recent churn of operating entities.

Who they are

A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.

  • Brand: DeltaFX, trading at deltafx.com since about 2011, with a Persian-language section and rial funding aimed at Iranian clients.
  • Legal entity: DeltaFx Partnership, a Saint Lucia International Business Company, registration 2024-00024.
  • Registered: Ground Floor, The Sotheby Building, Rodney Bay, Gros-Islet, Saint Lucia.
  • Website: deltafx.com, with client login at authserver.deltafx.com.
  • Only licence: Finance Authority of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros, International Brokerage and Clearing House Licence L16182/DFX, active to 20 October 2026. There is no tier 1 or tier 2 licence anywhere.
  • Offers: MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, forex, metals, energies, indices and crypto CFDs, leverage to 1:1000, five account tiers, copy trading, minimum deposit around 10 to 50 US dollars.
  • Not accepted: residents of the United States, the EU, the EEA, EFTA states and Israel. The United Kingdom is not excluded, and the site publishes a London telephone number, although the firm holds no UK authorisation.
  • Age claim: 17 years of service, which points to 2009. The domain dates to 2002 and DeltaFX broker pages are in the public archive from 2011, so a long history is real even if the exact start year is not documented.
  • Management: not named on the site. Trade press covering the 2024 expulsion quotes a chief executive, Omid Asefi.

Saint Lucia's public company registry returns no record for DeltaFX; the register does not publish International Business Companies.

Licences the broker publishes

Finance Authority of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan (AOFA), Union of Comoros

VerifiedTier 4Limited relevance
An offshore International Brokerage and Clearing House approval granted under Government Notice No. 005 of 2005. It is a paid registration rather than financial supervision: Comorian banking laws of 2013 to 2015 dissolved this authority and the Banque Centrale des Comores has listed it among fictitious structures claiming to license financial institutions.
Protection: None in practice. No client-money segregation requirement, no compensation scheme, no ombudsman and no supervisor able to compel a payout.Official register

Registry of Companies and Intellectual Property, Saint Lucia

UnverifiedNot a forex licence
A company registration, not financial regulation. The site describes a licence in Saint Lucia confirming that forex and CFD brokerage needs no separate licence there. That is an incorporation record for an International Business Company and confers no permission to hold client money or deal in derivatives.
Protection: None. A company number is proof that a company exists, nothing more.Official register

The Financial Commission (FinaCom)

Found by us — not listed by the broker

Ceased. Membership expelled on 31 October 2024 after repeated rule violationsNot a forex licence
An industry-funded external dispute resolution body, not a financial regulator. DeltaFX was an A-category member from 2018 with clients covered up to 20,000 euros, and advertised that on its site until at least 2019.
Protection: Formerly a compensation fund of up to 20,000 euros per claim. Withdrawn on expulsion, so there is no protection now.Official register

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

This is not a fake company and not a clone. It is an established offshore operation whose clients too often do not get their money back, so we place it high on the risk scale without calling it a confirmed scam.

  • The complaint pattern is specific and repeats. Fourteen clients on three separate platforms describe the same mechanism: they made a profit, asked to withdraw, were told they had breached a rule or engaged in arbitrage, and then found the account suspended and the deposit gone. The reports carry amounts (60, 400, 1,152, 1,459, 2,000 and 3,000 US dollars among them), platform account numbers such as 903886 and 891923, and dates running from September 2024 to September 2026, with most of them falling between January and September 2026. That meets all four tests we apply before treating complaints as serious: one failure mode, a clear time window, different people on more than one platform, and details that can be checked.
  • An independent body has already acted. The Financial Commission expelled DeltaFX on 31 October 2024 after repeated notices of rule violations. That matters twice over: it is an outside finding of conduct problems, and it removed the only compensation route clients had. The broker disputes the framing and says it withdrew voluntarily in April 2024. Either way, the protection is gone.
  • The licence is real but does nothing for a client. We opened the register entry the broker itself links to and it checks out: Deltafx, company 16183, licence L16182/DFX, active to 20 October 2026. The problem is the issuer. Comorian banking laws of 2013 to 2015 dissolved the Anjouan Offshore Finance Authority, and the Banque Centrale des Comores has publicly listed it among fictitious structures claiming to license financial institutions. There is no client-money segregation requirement, no compensation scheme and no supervisor who can order a payout.
  • The paperwork cannot be independently confirmed. Saint Lucia's public company search returns nothing for DeltaFX under the brand, the full entity name or the number 2024-00024. That register covers domestic companies and business names; International Business Companies are filed through licensed agents and are not published. The registration is therefore documented only by the broker.
  • The entity keeps moving. In 2019 the site named DeltaFX Ltd, a Saint Vincent and the Grenadines company numbered 24975 IBC 2018. Today it names a Saint Lucia company formed in 2024, with the licence held by an Anjouan company formed in October 2025. Same brand, same domain, two changes of home in two years, each to a place with less oversight.
  • Small things point the same way. The homepage credits the new Comoros regulation to MISA, which is the authority of a different Comorian island, while the licence is from AOFA on Anjouan. The same pages describe the arrangement as valid regulation by reputable international financial authorities. The company-claimed Trustpilot profile gives its address as Wall St 14, 10005, New York, Austria, which does not exist.
  • What we did not find matters too. No regulator warning, no enforcement action and no fraud-related court record names deltafx.com or DeltaFx Partnership. The licence number belongs to this firm and not to someone else. Nobody reported being asked for a tax or a release fee before a payout. Those absences are why we stop at high risk rather than going further.

Every finding, with its source and how strongly it points.

10 against3 in favour
  • E1The Anjouan licence is genuine and currently in force. The verification page linked from the broker's own regulations page records company name Deltafx, company number 16183, licence L16182/DFX, incorporation 20 October 2025, licence end date 20 October 2026 and status Active.

StrongAnjouan Offshore Finance Authority licence verification
  • E2The authority that issued that licence has no standing as a financial regulator. Comorian banking laws of 2013 to 2015 dissolved it, an IMF report found the island's offshore bodies were created in violation of Union law, and a June 2022 communique from the Banque Centrale des Comores listed it among fictitious structures claiming to license financial institutions.

  • E3An Anjouan licence gives a retail client no practical recourse. The authority does not step in when a broker refuses to pay, and the licence has no legal authority behind it.

Eleven describe the same sequence of a profit, a refused withdrawal blamed on arbitrage or a rule breach, then a suspended account and no return of the deposit, with figures of 60, 400, 1,459 and 3,000 US dollars and MetaTrader account 903886 among the details given.

  • E7A ForexPeaceArmy complaint tagged to deltafx.com sets out a deposit of 187.21 US dollars and profits of 965.17, a withdrawal refused for alleged manipulation and arbitrage with no evidence supplied, a request for the deposit alone answered with the words it is not possible dear friend, and the MetaTrader 5 account then deactivated. Trading history reports were attached and the client says the deposit was made in cryptocurrency.

  • E8No regulator warning names this broker. The FCA notice headed DELTA FX, first published 14 December 2022, gives the website as www.delta-fx.org with delta-fx.org email addresses and a London mobile number, so it concerns a different operation.

    ModerateFCA Warning List
  • E9The operation is long established rather than a fresh site. deltafx.com was registered on 2 May 2002, and by September 2012 the domain carried DeltaFX-branded broker pages naming Deltafx Corporation, with the brand continuous on the domain since.

StrongPublic archive snapshot of deltafx.com, September 2012
  • E10The operating entity has changed twice in two years. In December 2019 the site named DeltaFX Ltd, a Saint Vincent and the Grenadines International Business Company numbered 24975 IBC 2018, with a Geneva contact address, and described itself as a Category A member of the Financial Commission with clients covered up to 20,000 euros.

ModeratePublic archive snapshot of deltafx.com, December 2019
  • E11Saint Lucia's public company search returns no record for DeltaFX under the brand, the full entity name or the registration number 2024-00024. The register covers domestic companies and business names, numbered in a different format entirely, and does not publish International Business Companies, so the claimed registration rests on the broker's own statement.

ModerateRegistry of Companies and Intellectual Property, Saint Lucia
  • E12The broker overstates what it holds. The homepage announces regulation from the Comoros Union and credits it to MISA, the authority of a different Comorian island, while the licence and register entry are from AOFA on Anjouan. The same page lists Valid Regulation as a selling point and says the firm is licensed by reputable international financial authorities, and the footer presents the Saint Lucia company registration as a licence.

  • E14The trading business itself is real, not a mock platform. The DeltaFX Android app has passed 500,000 downloads and was last updated on 20 August 2026, and MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 servers run under the DeltaFX name.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

The case in DeltaFX's favour is stronger than it is for most brokers we rate this way, and it deserves stating plainly.

  • It is a genuine, old business. deltafx.com was registered on 2 May 2002 and the public archive shows DeltaFX-branded broker pages on it from 2011, running continuously to the current build. There is no aged-domain trick here and no borrowed identity.
  • The licence is its own and it is current. The number, the entity name and the status all match on the issuer's verification page. Many brokers we investigate fail exactly that test.
  • The product is real. MetaTrader 4 and 5 servers run under the DeltaFX name, and the Android app has passed 500,000 downloads and was updated on 20 August 2026. This is a working brokerage, not a mock platform.
  • Some clients are paid. Four of the 23 Trustpilot reviews are five star, and one reviewer on a third-party broker directory described a withdrawal that was initially confusing but arrived the next day. A withdrawal freeze that hits everyone would not look like this.
  • The regulator warnings belong to other firms. The FCA notice for DELTA FX names delta-fx.org, and the Italian and Spanish notices name deltafxmarkets.com and Blue Seal Limited. Reports that fold those into DeltaFX are wrong, and we have kept them out.
  • The broker contests the expulsion. Its chief executive says the company ended the arrangement with the Financial Commission itself in April 2024 and that no breach was involved.
  • One negative review is unusable. An August 2026 Trustpilot post reads as an advertisement for a chargeback service, so we excluded it from the count entirely.

What this does not answer is the core complaint. A real, licensed, working brokerage can still be the wrong place to leave money if profitable accounts are closed and deposits are kept.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

These are the findings that would move the rating in either direction.

  • Lower it: a run of dated, checkable reports that withdrawals from suspended accounts were paid out, especially to the named complainants who gave amounts and account numbers.
  • Lower it: readmission to the Financial Commission, or membership of another external dispute body that publishes rulings and pays compensation.
  • Lower it: a licence from an authority that actually supervises, such as the Seychelles FSA, the Mauritius FSC, CySEC or the FSCA, held by the same entity that takes client deposits.
  • Lower it: the Saint Lucia registration being made verifiable, or the company publishing its ownership and audited client-money arrangements.
  • Raise it: a warning or enforcement notice from any statutory regulator naming deltafx.com or DeltaFx Partnership.
  • Raise it: any credible report of a demand for a tax, fee or deposit before funds are released. That single pattern would change our conclusion immediately.
  • Raise it: the Anjouan licence lapsing after 20 October 2026 while the site still advertises it, or the operation moving to a fourth jurisdiction.
  • Raise it: the complaint rate accelerating, or the site posting a general suspension of withdrawals.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

14 questions
Is DeltaFX a scam?

We did not find enough to call it a confirmed scam, but we rate it high risk at 68 per cent. It is a genuine broker with a genuine offshore licence and a working platform. The problem is a repeated, well-documented pattern of profitable accounts being suspended and withdrawals refused.

Is DeltaFX a fraud?

No regulator, prosecutor or court has made a finding of fraud against DeltaFX or DeltaFx Partnership, and we found no fraud-related court record naming this company. What we can say is that we assess the risk of losing your deposit as high, based on 14 separate clients describing refused withdrawals and an expulsion from the industry dispute body in October 2024.

Is DeltaFX regulated?

Only in the narrowest sense. It holds licence L16182/DFX from the Finance Authority of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan in the Comoros, which we confirmed is active until 20 October 2026. Comorian banking law dissolved that authority and the Banque Centrale des Comores has listed it among fictitious structures claiming to license financial institutions. There is no FCA, ASIC, CySEC or comparable licence.

Can I withdraw my money from DeltaFX?

Some clients do withdraw successfully. Many do not. The recurring account across Trustpilot, ForexPeaceArmy and a third-party broker directory is that a withdrawal request following a profit triggers an allegation of arbitrage, manipulation or a rule breach, after which the account is suspended and neither the profit nor the original deposit is returned.

Is my money safe with DeltaFX?

There is no safety net. The Anjouan licence carries no client-money segregation requirement and no compensation scheme, and since 31 October 2024 clients have also been outside the Financial Commission compensation fund. If the firm refuses to pay, no supervisor can make it.

Who owns DeltaFX?

The contracting company is DeltaFx Partnership, a Saint Lucia International Business Company registered as 2024-00024, with a registered office in Gros-Islet. The licence is held by a separate Anjouan company, number 16183. The site names no directors or owners. Trade press covering the 2024 expulsion quotes a chief executive named Omid Asefi.

How old is DeltaFX?

The deltafx.com domain was registered on 2 May 2002 and DeltaFX broker pages appear in the public archive from 2011, so the brand has roughly 15 years behind it. The site advertises 17 years. The companies are much newer: the Saint Vincent entity dates to 2018, the Saint Lucia one to 2024 and the Anjouan licence holder to October 2025.

What is the Anjouan AOFA licence actually worth?

Very little. It is a paid offshore registration rather than supervision. The authority does not intervene in client disputes, does not require segregated client funds and operates a register the Comoros central bank does not recognise. Treat it as a certificate, not as protection.

Why was DeltaFX expelled from the Financial Commission?

The Financial Commission announced on 31 October 2024 that it had expelled DeltaFX following numerous failures to comply with its Rules and Guidelines, after giving the firm several chances to put things right. DeltaFX says it ended the arrangement itself in April 2024 and denies any breach. Either way, its clients can no longer use the compensation fund.

Is DeltaFX a clone of another broker?

No. The licence number, the entity name and the website on the register all belong to this operation. We found no borrowed licence, no borrowed company registration and no imitation of another brand.

Does any regulator warn against DeltaFX?

Not against deltafx.com. There are warnings that look like matches but are not: the FCA notice headed DELTA FX concerns delta-fx.org, and Italian and Spanish notices concern deltafxmarkets.com, operated by Blue Seal Limited. Those are separate companies and we have kept their records out of this report.

Is DeltaFX suitable for traders in Iran?

It is clearly built for them, with a Persian site, Persian support and rial deposits, and its MetaTrader server sits in Iran. That convenience comes with the same warning as everywhere else: there is no supervisor and no compensation route, and Iranian clients appear among those reporting refused withdrawals.

What should I check before depositing with any offshore broker?

Open the regulator's own register and confirm the licence number, the exact company name and the status and expiry date. Check whether that regulator can actually order a refund. Read the per-domain reviews rather than the brand ones. And test the withdrawal process with a small amount before committing anything meaningful.

What do I do if DeltaFX has refused my withdrawal?

Ask in writing for the specific rule and the specific trades they are relying on, and keep every statement, ticket and chat transcript. If you funded by card, ask your bank for a chargeback straight away. Crypto deposits cannot be reversed. You can complain to the Anjouan authority named on the licence, but it has no power to make the firm pay.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

Treat DeltaFX as a place where getting money out is the risk, not getting money in.

  • Do not deposit more than you would write off. There is no compensation fund, no ombudsman and no supervisor with power over this firm.
  • Avoid crypto funding. Several of the disputes involve crypto deposits, which cannot be reversed. A card payment at least leaves a chargeback route.
  • Read the trading rules before you trade, not after. Withdrawals here are being refused on grounds of arbitrage, hedging and minimum holding times. Get the limits in writing from support.
  • Withdraw early and often. Take profits out in small amounts rather than letting a balance build.
  • If your withdrawal is already refused: ask in writing for the exact rule and the trades relied on, keep every statement and chat log, request a chargeback if you paid by card, and report the matter to the Anjouan authority named on the licence, understanding that it has no power to compel payment.
  • Anyone considering a first deposit should compare a broker supervised by the FCA, ASIC, CySEC or the FSCA, where client money is segregated and a complaint has somewhere to go.
