Why we reached this verdict
How the evidence adds up.
We rate ePlanet Brokers a likely scam because a financial regulator names its website, and because client reports describe a repeating pattern of frozen accounts and withheld balances. A genuine offshore licence elsewhere in the group does not offset either finding.
- Regulator warning: the Bank of Russia lists eplanetbrokers.com as showing signs of an illegal professional securities-market participant, added 3 December 2024. It is an official warning list and it names the exact domain. It is a finding about unlicensed activity in Russia, not a court finding of fraud.
- Withdrawal pattern: at least seven separate clients report money held back, mostly after profitable trading. In the most detailed case a client deposited 3,000 USD in July 2025, the account was frozen a week later at 6,183.67 USD, and the firm said it would return neither profit nor deposit because it suspected arbitrage. Reports cluster in May to August 2025 and again in July 2026. We assess the risk of fraud as high.
- Licence held by a different company: the Vanuatu dealer licence belongs to Nebula Ventures Ltd. ePlanet's deposit and withdrawal rules name ePlanet Brokers LTD, a Mohéli company, as the company clients deal with. Its MISA licence is an island-level registration with no meaningful client protection.
- Overstated regulation: an archived copy of the regulation page from 18 April 2026 led with South African FSP 52199 and promised funds protected under strict regulatory oversight. The FSCA register shows that authorisation belongs to EPLANET ZA (PTY) LTD and covers advice and intermediary services only. The live site no longer mentions it.
- Reputation: Trustpilot has suspended the rating after removing fake reviews. The Financial Commission, a private dispute body rather than a regulator, put eplanetbrokers.com on its warning list in April 2024 after trader complaints.
- Restricted countries: the footer says ePlanet does not serve FATF black-list countries, which include Iran. Yet the site runs a Persian version marked with Iran's flag, and Persian review sites describe Iranian clients funding accounts in crypto.
- How the number was set: the weighted scorecard comes to 64%. A regulator warning that names the domain sets a minimum of 70%. The verifiable track record is about four and a half years, so no age adjustment applies.

E2The VFSC company register lists NEBULA VENTURES LTD (700819) as a registered international company since 10 April 2024 at Govant Building, Kumul Highway, Port Vila, the address ePlanet publishes. Its annual return was filed on 30 March 2026.

Hard proofBank of Russia warning listE4ePlanet's deposit and withdrawal rules define the Company as ePlanet Brokers Ltd, IBC HY00923038, Fomboni, Mohéli. The VFSC licence is held by Nebula Ventures Ltd, so the licensed company is not the one named as the client's counterparty.
E5An archived copy of ePlanet's regulation page from 18 April 2026 presented FSCA FSP 52199 as Licence I and told clients their funds were protected under strict regulatory oversight. The page data described ePlanet as a fully regulated brokerage licensed by the FSCA. The footer then excluded Iran, Russia and Türkiye.
E6The FSCA register shows FSP 52199 as EPLANET ZA (PTY) LTD, a private company (2021/441377/07) authorised on 8 April 2022 at 34 Whiteley Road, Melrose Arch. A client who deposited 3,000 USD had the account frozen at 6,183.67 USD in July 2025 and was told profit and deposit would not be returned over suspected arbitrage. Others report 2,900 USD withheld (May 2025), a frozen account after funding (June 2025) and a withdrawal blocked over a shared-IP claim (January 2026). ePlanet replied asking for account details.
E11In October 2026 a competition winner reported a 400 USD bank withdrawal refused and was told withdrawals are crypto-only. A Persian review site also says crypto is the only working withdrawal method.
E12Further complaints include a client with 6,000 USD deposited and a 9,134 USD balance whose account was blocked for over a month (July 2026), a client unable to withdraw deposit or profits (July 2026) and a client blocked after a 4,000 USD profit (August 2024).

The other side
The strongest case in this broker’s favour.
There is a real business here, and some of the evidence has innocent readings.
- The group holds a genuine Vanuatu financial dealer licence. Nebula Ventures Ltd (company 700819) is on the VFSC licensee list as active since 10 July 2025, and the VFSC company register places it at the Port Vila address ePlanet publishes.
- The MISA brokerage licence T2023372 for ePlanet Brokers LTD is on record as active until 22 September 2027.
- The platform is real. ePlanet offers MetaTrader 5 and cTrader accounts, and its cTrader app on Google Play has more than 10,000 downloads and is published by EPLANET BROKERS LTD at its Comoros address.
- The Bank of Russia list covers thousands of foreign firms and targets unlicensed activity in Russia. It is not a finding that clients were defrauded.
- ePlanet answers complaints in public, says account restrictions follow AML, KYC or terms-of-service checks, and asks complainants for account details. Brokers do legitimately void profits from latency arbitrage or linked accounts, and some negative reviews give little detail.
- Many reviews are positive, the domain age fits the stated 2023 founding, there is no sign of a clone or a borrowed licence, and the IOSCO global alert portal has no entry for eplanetbrokers.
What would change this
What we would need to see to revise the verdict.
Any of these would move the rating.
- The Bank of Russia removing eplanetbrokers.com from its warning list, or showing the listing was made in error.
- Proof that the frozen balances in the documented cases, such as the 6,183.67 USD and 9,134 USD accounts, were paid out.
- Client agreements issued by the VFSC-licensed Nebula Ventures Ltd rather than the Comoros company, so that Vanuatu supervision actually covers client accounts.
- Trustpilot lifting its guideline-breach notice.
- In the other direction, a warning from another regulator, or any report of a client asked to pay a fee or tax before a withdrawal is released, would push the rating higher.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about this broker’s safety.
Is ePlanet Brokers a scam?
We rate it a likely scam, with a 70% risk score. The Bank of Russia lists eplanetbrokers.com for signs of illegal securities-market activity, and clients report accounts frozen with balances withheld after profitable trading. A group company does hold a genuine but offshore Vanuatu licence.
Is ePlanet Brokers a fraud?
No court or regulator has found ePlanet Brokers guilty of fraud, so we do not call it a proven fraud. The Financial Commission, a private dispute body, said in April 2024 that the company and its website may be used to scam and defraud traders. Based on the warning lists and the withdrawal complaints, we assess the risk of fraud as high.
Is ePlanet Brokers regulated?
Only offshore. Nebula Ventures Ltd, a group company, holds a Vanuatu financial dealer licence (company 700819, active since July 2025), and ePlanet Brokers LTD holds Mwali (MISA) brokerage licence T2023372. Neither is a top-tier regulator, and the client rules name the Comoros company, not the Vanuatu one.
What does the Bank of Russia warning say about ePlanet?
The Bank of Russia added eplanetbrokers.com to its list of companies with signs of illegal activity in the financial market on 3 December 2024. It classes the site as showing signs of an illegal professional securities-market participant, meaning it offered such services in Russia without a Russian licence. The entry was still listed at the time of writing.
Can I withdraw my money from ePlanet Brokers?
Some clients say withdrawals work. A repeating group of complaints says accounts were frozen after profits and withdrawals refused over suspected arbitrage or shared IP addresses. A client in October 2026 reported a bank withdrawal refused and crypto offered as the only option, so test a small withdrawal before depositing more.
Is my money safe with ePlanet Brokers?
Not in the way it would be with a top-tier regulated broker. Your account is with a Comoros company overseen only by the Mwali registrar, there is no investor compensation scheme, and the Vanuatu licence belongs to a different group company. We found no independent proof that client funds are segregated.
Who owns ePlanet Brokers and where is it based?
The site names ePlanet Brokers LTD (Mohéli, Comoros, IBC HY00923038) and Nebula Ventures Ltd (Vanuatu), with an operational office in Podgorica, Montenegro. A related South African company, EPLANET ZA (PTY) LTD, runs the separate eplanet.com site. The website does not name the owners or directors.
How old is ePlanet Brokers?
The brand says it was founded in 2023. Its main domain was registered on 23 March 2022, and the oldest related company, in South Africa, dates from 2021. That gives a verifiable track record of about four and a half years.
What is a MISA licence worth?
Very little. The Mwali International Services Authority on the Comorian island of Mohéli is an island-level registrar, not a financial supervisor with inspections or a compensation fund. A MISA licence mainly shows that a company registered there, so it should not reassure you about your deposits.
Is ePlanet Brokers regulated by the FSCA in South Africa?
Not for the accounts it opens today. FSP 52199 belongs to EPLANET ZA (PTY) LTD and covers advice and intermediary services, not acting as the dealer on your CFD trades. ePlanet advertised this licence on its regulation page until 2026 and has since removed it.
Is ePlanet Brokers a clone of another broker?
No. We found no sign that ePlanet copies another firm's name, licence or address, and its licences are issued to its own group companies. A different firm called E-Planet Trade appeared in a 2021 Italian warning, before eplanetbrokers.com existed, and is not the same business.
Does ePlanet Brokers accept clients from Iran?
Its footer says it does not serve FATF black-list countries, which include Iran, and an April 2026 version named Iran outright. Yet the site has a Persian version marked with Iran's flag, and Persian review sites describe Iranian clients funding accounts in crypto. That contradiction is a compliance red flag.
What should I do if ePlanet froze my account?
Complain in writing to compliance@eplanetbrokers.com with your account number and keep every reply. If your contract is with Nebula Ventures Ltd, complain to the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission, and ask your bank about a chargeback for card payments. Never pay anyone who promises to recover your funds for a fee.
What should I check before depositing with ePlanet Brokers?
Confirm in writing which company holds your account and which regulator covers it. Read the withdrawal rules, including the 5% trading-activity condition and the bonus cancellation terms. Start small and test a withdrawal to the same method before adding more.
What we recommend
The practical takeaway from everything above.
Treat ePlanet Brokers as high risk and do not deposit money you cannot afford to lose.
- Before depositing, ask in writing which company will hold your account. If it is ePlanet Brokers LTD in Comoros, no meaningful regulator protects your money.
- Check that you can withdraw by the same method you deposit. A client in October 2026 reports a bank withdrawal refused and crypto offered as the only route.
- If you already trade there, withdraw profits regularly and keep copies of statements, chats and emails.
- If your account is frozen, complain in writing to compliance@eplanetbrokers.com, then to the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission if your contract is with Nebula Ventures Ltd. For card deposits, ask your bank about a chargeback.
- Ignore anyone who offers to recover your money for an upfront fee. That is a common follow-up scam.
- WIKILIX keeps a warning on this broker and will review it again within 30 days, because new fund complaints appeared in July and October 2026.
This is an independent assessment of risk, not a legal ruling. Scores and verdicts follow the Wikilix broker-safety methodology and can change as new evidence appears. Review scores are treated with caution when a broker’s reviews look manipulated. Last reviewed October 25, 2026.
