Most Popular Questions

Evli does describe client funds accounts held at Finnish banks for incoming client money, and it publishes a document on the custody of client wealth in its client information library. What we cannot state from the site's readable pages is the full segregation arrangement or which investor compensation scheme applies to a given portfolio. Ask Evli for both in writing before you fund an account, so what protects your money is something you have seen rather than something you have assumed.

The switchboard is +358 9 476 690, Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 16.30 Finnish time. Investor Service, which handles client questions, is +358 9 4766 9701 from 9.30 to 16.30. General email is info@evli.com, and the Stockholm office is on +46 70 433 0297 and stockholm@evli.com. There is a contact form at evli.com/en/contact-us. There is no live chat. The registered office is Aleksanterinkatu 19 A, 4th floor, PO Box 1081, 00101 Helsinki.

The brand dates itself to 1985 on its About us page, and its named founders and history are set out there. The current legal entity is younger: Evli Oyj was registered under business ID 3239286-2 on 30 September 2021 and entered in the trade register on 2 April 2022. That gap is a matter of corporate structure rather than a contradiction of the brand's history, and it is worth knowing because it is the registered company, not the brand, that would be your counterparty.

No, and nothing in our research suggests it. The company behind the brand is a real, currently active Finnish public limited company at a verifiable Helsinki address, with a second long-established fund company alongside it, a published fee schedule, named executives and public financial reporting. The honest caveat is narrower than fraud: the firm names its supervisor but not its licence number, so the protections a client would rely on cannot be checked from the site alone.

In practice this is difficult. Evli's online onboarding requires Finnish personal online banking credentials, which most non-residents do not have, and the terms of use say the site is primarily intended for residents of Finland unless separately agreed. The site does gate entry behind a selector covering thirty European jurisdictions plus an 'Other' option, and the fee schedule states the services relate to Finland and Sweden. If you are outside those markets, the realistic route is to contact Investor Service on +358 9 4766 9701 and ask directly rather than to assume you can register.

Evli publishes the fees but not a processing time. A SEPA payment to your designated account is free of charge. A non-SEPA payment order costs EUR 25.00, or EUR 60.00 as an express payment. A transfer to an account at a foreign bank where Evli pays the receiving bank's charges costs EUR 50.00, or EUR 100.00 express. Correcting payment details by hand costs EUR 25.00. Money goes to a designated account you have registered in advance, and changing that account is a separate process described in the FAQ.

By bank transfer only. The quickest route is a transfer initiated inside My Evli from Nordea, the OP Bank Group, Danske Bank, S-Pankki or Ålandsbanken, where the money is available immediately. Alternatively you can pay euro into one of Evli's client funds accounts, quoting your portfolio-specific reference, in which case it is available the following banking day at the earliest. International money comes in by SWIFT MT103 in euro or Swedish krona. Two rules are strict: the transfer must be made from your own bank account or it is returned to the payer, and there are no card, e-wallet or cryptocurrency options at all.

One, and it is Evli's own: My Evli, a browser-based portfolio, reporting and order service at m2.evli.com, accessed with My Evli codes. Share price information on the venues Evli brokes is included free with a fifteen-minute delay. There is no MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader or downloadable desktop terminal, and no trading API is advertised.

Pricing is by commission, not spread. Through My Evli, an OMX Helsinki order costs 0.05% with a EUR 7.00 minimum, and an order on OMX Stockholm, OMX Copenhagen, Deutsche Boerse, NYSE or NASDAQ costs 0.12% with a EUR 20.00 minimum. Placing the order by telephone adds EUR 20.00. The Broker Services desk is dearer: 0.50% with a EUR 5.00 minimum on Finnish, Swedish and Baltic securities, rising to 1.00% with a EUR 250.00 minimum for Eastern Europe, the Middle East and the rest of the world. Custody runs from 0.01% to 1.00% a year depending on the market, minimum EUR 3.00 a month, and VAT of 25.5% is added.

None that is published. No maximum leverage, margin requirement or stop-out level appears anywhere on Evli's site, which is consistent with an unleveraged investment offering rather than a margin trading one. In practice that means you cannot lose more than you invest to a leveraged position, because there is no leveraged position on offer.

Evli publishes no account minimum: opening a client relationship online is explicitly free of charge. The number that functions as an entry point is the minimum subscription on the funds. Most retail share classes require EUR 1,000, or SEK 10,000 for the krona-denominated classes, while institutional classes start at EUR 2 million and run up to EUR 200 million for some fixed income share classes. The full table is on the service fees page.

No. Evli is a wealth and fund manager that also brokes securities. Its published offering is discretionary and advisory wealth management, mutual funds, alternative investment funds, structured products, corporate finance and equity brokerage on Nordic, German and US venues. The site publishes no currency pairs, no contracts for difference, no leverage figure and no swap-free account. If you are looking for a leveraged margin account, Evli does not offer one.

The operating company is Evli Oyj, a Finnish public limited company that trades as Evli Plc and Evli Abp. It carries business ID 3239286-2 and the Legal Entity Identifier 984500F4CCF3AD74F766, its registered office is Aleksanterinkatu 19, 00100 Helsinki, and its status in the Finnish Patent and Registration Office's Business Information System is active. The group's funds are managed by a second Finnish company, Evli-Rahastoyhtiö Oy, business ID 0744659-0, at the same address. Evli is a listed company, so its ownership is public and its results are published on its investor relations pages.

Evli has one licence record with Wikilix, issued by one authority across 0 jurisdictions. A licence on record means an authority published an entry; it is not an endorsement, and Wikilix does not issue authorisations.
Evli holds licence records issued by FIN-FSA. Each authority’s own record — its tier, jurisdiction and client-protection rules — is linked from this page.
One of the licence records held by Evli comes from tier-1 or tier-2 authorities (1 tier-1, 0 tier-2). Those regimes set the strictest capital, reporting and client-money requirements.
We located 1 of the 1 licence records held by Evli on the issuing authority’s own register. Every entry has been looked up. An unchecked entry is a gap in our coverage, not a finding against the licence.
The registers print them under Evli Oyj. A licence is often held by a subsidiary rather than the trading brand, which is why searching a register for the brand name alone can return nothing.
