Is FIDUS INVESTMENTS CYPRUS a scam?

High risk (unverified)MEDIUM confidence
None established; brand reused by unrelated warned websites

Fidus Investments Cyprus Ltd, the firm behind fidusinvestments.eu, holds a genuine Cyprus investment firm licence, and we found no regulator warning, no enforcement action and no evidence of fraud against it. We still publish this page at 65% risk, because for a brokerage licensed since 2017 we could establish almost nothing about how it actually treats client money.

  • The licence is real. CySEC's own register records licence 326/17, issued 12 May 2017 to Fidus Investments Cyprus Ltd at Aisopou 10, Aglantzia, Nicosia, and lists www.fidusinvestments.eu as its one approved domain.
  • The CySEC warning you may have read about is not this website. On 14 February 2025 CySEC warned against fidusinvestments.org. That is a different address, it is not on this firm's approved-domain record, and the complaints circulating under the Fidus name sit on fidusinvestments.org and fidusinvestments.io.
  • The company is real and current. The Cyprus companies registry shows FIDUS INVESTMENTS CYPRUS LIMITED, number HE 355918, incorporated 23 May 2016, status Registered, with annual returns filed every year through April 2026.
  • What is missing is clients. Trustpilot and Forex Peace Army both hold a page for fidusinvestments.eu and both show zero reviews. After nine years there is no public record of a single withdrawal being paid or refused.
  • Its own site misprints its licence. The footer and legal pages say 326/27. The register says 326/17, and so did this firm's own pages in 2017.

Regulation

2/10 · Low

CySEC licence 326/17 confirmed in force on the regulator's own register since 12 May 2017, with entity name, address, telephone and approved domain all matching the site, plus segregated client money and Investor Compensation Fund cover.

Identity & transparency

3/10 · Low

Registry entry, licence record, site footer and the publicly disclosed domain registrant all name the same Cyprus company at the same address; marked down because the site names no directors or owners and misprints its own licence number.

Withdrawals & conduct

3/10 · Low

No fund-integrity complaints of any kind tied to fidusinvestments.eu, but equally no confirmed payouts, so good conduct is unproven rather than demonstrated.

Reputation

6/10 · High

Zero reviews on both Trustpilot and Forex Peace Army for a firm trading since 2017, and the brand name is contaminated by a CySEC-warned site and a complaint-laden lookalike that are not this firm.

Website claims

3/10 · Low

No inflated history, no guaranteed returns, no fake awards, and it publishes the regulator-mandated 68% loss figure; marked down for printing licence 326/27 instead of 326/17 and for a long-neglected site.

Operational history

2/10 · Low

Independently verified: company incorporated 23 May 2016, domain registered 27 February 2017 to the licensed entity, continuous archive history since August 2017 and annual returns filed through April 2026.

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

Two things are true at once here, and the rating reflects both.

  • Every identity check passed. CySEC's register names Fidus Investments Cyprus Ltd, licence 326/17, at the same Nicosia address and the same telephone number the site publishes, and CySEC's approved-domains list ties the licence to www.fidusinvestments.eu and to nothing else. The Cyprus companies registry confirms the entity is incorporated and current. The domain was registered on 27 February 2017 in the licensed company's own name, three months before the licence was granted, and the archived site has run continuously under the same brand since August 2017. That rules out the pattern where somebody buys a lapsed domain and inherits a stale register entry.
  • Nobody has warned about this firm. IOSCO's alert database, which aggregates more than 47,000 notices from regulators worldwide, returns no entry for this company or this domain. We found no CySEC sanction, no enforcement action and no fraud-related court record naming the entity.
  • The name, though, is being used by others. CySEC's notice of 14 February 2025 lists fidusinvestments.org among fifteen websites that do not belong to an authorised entity. Separately, fidusinvestments.io carried a 1.7 out of 5 rating and complaints about deposits taken and nothing returned, and it is registered to a street address in Frankfort, Michigan with a US telephone number. Neither is the licensed Nicosia firm, and we have deliberately kept their histories out of this firm's ledger.
  • What we could not establish is the part that matters most. Trustpilot has a page for fidusinvestments.eu with no reviews. Forex Peace Army has a page for FidusInvestments.eu marked not yet rated, zero reviews. There is no Reddit discussion and no rated feedback anywhere tied to this domain. A real brokerage with real retail clients normally leaves some trace after nine years, whether good or bad. Here there is none, so we cannot show that withdrawals are paid, and we cannot show that they are refused.
  • That absence, not any finding, is what sets the number. On the evidence alone this firm scores around 30%. Our method raises the published figure to 65% where a sweep of several review platforms turns up no feedback of any kind, because a score earned by the absence of findings would otherwise read as a clean bill of health. We did not find misconduct. We found too little to call this firm safe.
  • Housekeeping that a supervised firm should not get wrong. The footer, the who-we-are page and the legal disclosures all print the licence as 326/27. The register says 326/17, and this firm printed 326/17 correctly on its own homepage in 2017. A reader who checks the number as published will find nothing. The site also still calls itself newly established and carries social icons that lead nowhere, including one for a network that shut down in 2019.
  • A fine-print point worth raising with them. The licence covers transmitting and executing client orders, not dealing on own account, so orders should be passed to a third party rather than taken on the other side. The homepage nonetheless carries the standard CFD provider loss warning, which states that 68% of its retail accounts lose money. Anyone opening an account should ask in writing who the counterparty to their trades actually is.

Evidence ledger

Every finding, with its source and how strongly it points.

3 against9 in favour
  • E1CySEC's register records Fidus Investments Cyprus Ltd under licence 326/17, licensed 12 May 2017, company registration 355918, at Aisopou 10, Aglantzia, 2113 Nicosia, telephone +357 22 502 900, with approved domain www.fidusinvestments.eu. Permissions cover reception and transmission of orders and execution of orders on behalf of clients, plus custody. No suspension or withdrawal is noted.

  • E2CySEC's approved-domains list links Fidus Investments Cyprus Ltd to one website only, www.fidusinvestments.eu. No other address is covered by licence 326/17, which settles the impersonation test on the domain leg.

  • E3CySEC's notice dated Nicosia, 14 February 2025 lists fifteen websites that do not belong to an authorised entity. The entry reads fidusinvestments.org, not the licensed .eu domain. The same regulator continues to list www.fidusinvestments.eu as the approved domain for licence 326/17.

  • E4The Cyprus companies registry records FIDUS INVESTMENTS CYPRUS LIMITED, number HE 355918, a private company registered on 23 May 2016, organisation status Registered, with annual returns filed in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and on 29 April 2026. The registration number matches the one on the CySEC licence record.

  • E5The .eu registry records fidusinvestments.eu as registered on 27 February 2017 through GoDaddy, with the registrant organisation given openly as Fidus investments Cyprus limited at a Nicosia address. The registration predates the licence by about three months, and the registrant is the licence holder rather than a privacy proxy.

  • E6The archived homepage of 20 August 2017 shows the same company, Fidus Investments Cyprus Ltd, the same two telephone numbers in use today, and the licence printed correctly as 326/17. Archived captures run continuously from August 2017 to the present with no gap and no change of brand or owner, which rules out a lapsed domain being picked up by a different operator.

  • E7A keyword search of IOSCO's pooled investor alert database, holding 47,371 notices contributed by securities regulators worldwide, returns one unrelated entry for a Fidus Global Bank flagged in the UK in 2023. There is no alert naming Fidus Investments Cyprus Ltd, licence 326/17 or fidusinvestments.eu.

  • E8Trustpilot holds an unclaimed profile for fidusinvestments.eu carrying no reviews at all and none in the past twelve months, so neither complaints nor positive feedback exist on the platform for a firm licensed since 2017.

  • E9Forex Peace Army's page for FidusInvestments.eu, last updated 24 September 2023, reads not yet rated with zero reviews and invites the first reviewer. The same page records that the firm offers MT4 along with currency pairs, CFDs, shares, futures and options.

  • E10A third-party MetaTrader broker directory lists Fidus Investments Cyprus Limited with live MT4 servers FidusInvestments-Real05 and FidusInvestments-Real09, indicating genuine trading infrastructure operated under the licensed entity's own name rather than a simulated front end.

  • E11The firm's own legal page publishes a full MiFID II document set, including an order execution policy, conflicts of interest policy, complaints procedure, fees schedule, key information documents for exchange-traded futures and options, an unbroken series of Pillar III capital disclosures covering 2018 to 2025, and confirmation of Investor Compensation Fund participation with cover up to 20,000 euro.

  • E12The firm's current website prints its CySEC licence as 326/27 in the footer, on the who-we-are page and in the legal disclosures, while the regulator's register and the firm's own 2017 pages record 326/17. A reader checking the published number against the register would find no match.

  • E13The Trustpilot profile for fidusinvestments.io rates that site 1.7 out of 5 with complaints alleging deposits taken and nothing delivered, lists its address as 3212 River Rd, 49635, Frankfort, United States with a US telephone number, and notes the website has closed. Neither the address, the country nor the domain matches the licensed Nicosia firm.

  • E14A review of CySEC's published warnings index found no notice naming Fidus Investments Cyprus Ltd or licence 326/17, and no administrative sanction, settlement or licence withdrawal against the firm.

  • E15An independent broker review of fidusinvestments.eu from September 2017, updated June 2018, scores the firm 2.00 out of 5 and confirms CySEC authorisation, segregated client accounts and Investor Compensation Fund membership, while criticising the sparse information on the website and the absence of demo accounts. The page carries no user comments.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

The case for treating this firm as ordinary and legitimate is strong, and parts of it are better than its thin public profile suggests.

  • It is supervised inside the EU, not offshore. A Cyprus Investment Firm licence brings segregated client accounts, MiFID II conduct rules, capital requirements and Investor Compensation Fund cover up to 20,000 euro per claim if the firm fails. That is meaningfully better protection than the Caribbean and Indian Ocean registrations most troubled brokers rely on.
  • The paperwork of a firm that is genuinely examined. Its disclosures page carries the full MiFID suite, an order execution policy, a complaints procedure, a fees schedule, key information documents for exchange-traded futures and options across CME, Eurex, ICE, HKEX, SGX and others, and an unbroken series of Pillar III capital disclosures from 2018 to 2025. Shell operations do not publish nine consecutive years of prudential disclosures.
  • Real trading infrastructure exists. MT4 servers named FidusInvestments-Real05 and FidusInvestments-Real09 run under the licensed company's own name, which is hard to fake and indicates live accounts rather than a simulated front end.
  • It does not behave like a scam. There are no guaranteed-profit promises, no bonus schemes with locked withdrawals, no celebrity endorsements, no crypto-only deposit rail, and no inflated history. It publishes the loss percentage regulators require, and it declines to claim more years than it has.
  • The absence of reviews has an innocent reading. The firm sells a staffed dealing desk and exchange-traded derivatives, and its passport list leans toward Greece, Italy and the Gulf. A small professional or regional client base genuinely does not generate Trustpilot traffic, and no reviews is not the same as bad reviews.
  • The registry says it is being maintained. Annual returns were filed every year from 2020 to April 2026, which is the behaviour of a company with accountants and an active board, not an abandoned licence.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

This rating rests on an evidence gap, so it can move in either direction quickly.

  • Toward a clean result: a handful of independent, verifiable client accounts of deposits and completed withdrawals on Trustpilot, Forex Peace Army or a trading forum, tied to fidusinvestments.eu, would let us show that client money moves both ways. That alone would take this page well below the risk threshold.
  • Also toward a clean result: the firm correcting its licence number to 326/17 across its own pages, naming its directors and ownership publicly, and linking straight to its own CySEC register entry rather than to the general approved-domains list.
  • Toward a worse result: any credible, specific report of a withdrawal refused, an account frozen with a balance on it, or a demand for an extra payment before funds are released. One well-documented instance of that last pattern would change this report substantially.
  • Decisive either way: a CySEC decision, settlement or sanction naming Fidus Investments Cyprus Ltd or licence 326/17, or the appearance of fidusinvestments.eu itself on any regulator's warning list. Neither exists at the time of writing.
  • A structural answer: written confirmation of who acts as counterparty to client trades, given that the licence does not permit dealing on own account.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

14 questions
Is Fidus Investments Cyprus a scam?

We found no evidence that it is. Fidus Investments Cyprus Ltd holds CySEC licence 326/17, confirmed on the regulator's own register, and no regulator has warned about its website. We rate it 65% risk for a different reason: after nine years of trading there is no public record of how it handles client withdrawals, so we cannot call it proven safe either.

Is Fidus Investments a fraud?

No, not on anything we could establish about the licensed Cyprus firm. There is no regulator warning naming fidusinvestments.eu, no enforcement action and no fraud-related court record against Fidus Investments Cyprus Ltd. Be aware that a separate website, fidusinvestments.org, was named by CySEC in February 2025 as operating without authorisation, and complaints alleging stolen deposits relate to that site and to fidusinvestments.io rather than to the licensed firm.

Is Fidus Investments Cyprus regulated?

Yes. CySEC's register records Fidus Investments Cyprus Ltd as a Cyprus Investment Firm under licence 326/17, in force since 12 May 2017. The licence permits receiving and transmitting client orders, executing orders on clients' behalf and holding client instruments in custody. It is a mid-tier European regulator, so protections are real but weaker than the UK or Australia.

Why did CySEC issue a warning about Fidus Investments?

CySEC's notice of 14 February 2025 named fidusinvestments.org, one of fifteen websites it said do not belong to an authorised firm. That is not the licensed company's address. CySEC continues to list www.fidusinvestments.eu as the approved domain for licence 326/17, which is the clearest possible signal that the regulator treats the two as different operations.

What is the difference between fidusinvestments.eu, fidusinvestments.org and fidusinvestments.io?

Only fidusinvestments.eu is the licensed Cyprus brokerage, and it is the sole domain on CySEC's approved list for licence 326/17. fidusinvestments.org is the site CySEC warned against in February 2025. fidusinvestments.io carried a 1.7 out of 5 rating with complaints about deposits not returned, lists a street address in Frankfort, Michigan, and its website has since closed. Check your address bar carefully.

Can I withdraw my money from Fidus Investments Cyprus?

We cannot tell you from experience, and that is the honest answer. There is not a single user report of a withdrawal from fidusinvestments.eu on Trustpilot, Forex Peace Army, Reddit or any forum we checked, in either direction. As a CySEC firm it is required to process legitimate withdrawal requests, but you should test it with a small amount before depositing seriously.

Is my money safe with Fidus Investments Cyprus?

The structural protections are genuine. Cyprus Investment Firms must hold client money in segregated accounts, separate from company funds, and belong to the Investor Compensation Fund, which pays up to 20,000 euro per claim if the firm becomes insolvent. That scheme covers failure of the firm, not trading losses. What we cannot verify is the firm's day to day payout record.

Who owns Fidus Investments Cyprus and how old is it?

The company is FIDUS INVESTMENTS CYPRUS LIMITED, a private Cyprus company registered as HE 355918 on 23 May 2016, and its status on the registry is current with annual returns filed through April 2026. The firm does not name its owners or directors on its website, which is a transparency gap, though the directors are recorded in the Cyprus companies registry file.

Why is the risk rating 65% if the licence is genuine?

Because the two are separate questions. On the evidence we gathered, the firm scores around 30%. Our method lifts the published figure to 65% when a sweep of several review platforms finds no client feedback at all, since a low score built on an absence of findings would misleadingly read as a clean result. The figure reflects how little is known about this firm, not misconduct we uncovered.

Is the licence number 326/17 or 326/27?

It is 326/17. CySEC's register, and this firm's own regulatory filings such as its execution quality report, both state 326/17. The number 326/27 printed in the website footer, the who-we-are page and the legal disclosures is an error, and the firm's own homepage printed 326/17 correctly back in 2017. Verify using 326/17.

What trading platform does Fidus Investments Cyprus use?

MetaTrader 4. Live MT4 servers named FidusInvestments-Real05 and FidusInvestments-Real09 run under the licensed company's name. The firm also offers a staffed dealing desk reachable by telephone between 9am and 11pm Cyprus time, and it provides access to exchange-traded futures and options alongside FX and CFDs. It does not offer demo accounts.

Does Fidus Investments Cyprus accept clients from my country?

Its CySEC licence is passported into Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Norway and Portugal, and the register also notes services to Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. It is not authorised in the UK, the United States, Australia or Canada, so residents there have no local protection if something goes wrong.

What should I check before depositing?

Four things. Confirm you are on fidusinvestments.eu and not a lookalike. Look up licence 326/17 on the CySEC register yourself. Ask in writing who the counterparty to your trades is, since the licence does not permit dealing on own account. Then deposit the minimum and withdraw it in full before committing more.

A company calling itself Fidus Investments took my money. What do I do?

First work out which website it was, because that determines who to approach. Report it to CySEC and to your own national regulator, contact your bank or card issuer straight away to ask about reversing the payment, and preserve every message, statement and transfer receipt. Never pay an upfront fee to anyone promising to recover your funds, as those offers target people who have already lost money.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

Treat this as a real but unproven broker, and be precise about which website you are dealing with.

  • Check the address bar before anything else. Only www.fidusinvestments.eu, and its client portal secure.fidusinvestments.eu, are covered by licence 326/17. If you were contacted about fidusinvestments.org or fidusinvestments.io, you are not dealing with the licensed Cyprus firm.
  • Verify the licence yourself. Open the CySEC register entry below and confirm the number reads 326/17 and that the approved domain matches the site you are on. Ignore the 326/27 printed on the firm's own pages.
  • If you are new, start small and test the exit. Deposit the minimum, trade briefly, then withdraw the full balance before committing anything further. Because no public record of payouts exists here, your own withdrawal test is the only proof available.
  • Keep a paper trail. Save statements, ticket numbers and all correspondence. As a Cyprus firm it must answer a written complaint, and unresolved cases can be escalated to CySEC and to the Cyprus Financial Ombudsman.
  • Ask the two questions in writing: who is the counterparty to my trades, and are my funds held in a segregated client account at a named bank.
  • If a site using this name has taken your money, report it to CySEC and to your own national regulator, tell your bank or card issuer immediately and ask about a chargeback, and ignore anyone who offers to recover your funds for an upfront fee. Those offers are a second scam aimed at people who lost money in the first.
