What FX Choice legally published, but does not want you to read

Every clause below is published by FX Choice itself, on its own website, today. The finding is not that the text exists. It is the distance between what a client is shown and what a client agreed to. Read from its own documents on .

Contracting entity: FX Choice Limited

FX Choice Limited has paused new registrations, and its site still invites deposits from USD 10. Balances left behind run down against a USD 50 monthly inactivity fee that takes whatever is left. Money you do not claim after a closure becomes the company's property. The contract governing all of this, the Client Agreement, is not on the site's legal page.

16 clauses worth knowing about, worst first, each quoted from FX Choice's own files

01

FXChoice has closed new registrations and, in its own words, paused its trading operations. Every page still tells you to start trading with as little as USD 10.

Why this matters

If your money is already there, the clauses below keep working while the pause lasts. The notice does not say when trading restarts, and the newest company news on the site is from December 2023.

Our readingA broker that stops taking new clients usually takes the invitation down with it. Here the marketing site and the sign-up system say opposite things on the same day.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 2An account nobody can trade is an account running towards the inactivity fee.
02

You pay USD 50 every month once an account sits six months without a trade. FXChoice takes it straight from your balance, and where the balance is smaller than the fee, it takes the balance.

Why this matters

A quiet account holding USD 300 is empty after six charges. The Client Agreement also counts you as inactive if FXChoice cannot reach you for two months. Unanswered email is enough to start the clock.

Exhibit 2CriticalHarder than usual$50New

FXChoice will charge a USD 50 (or equivalent in another currency) monthly fee on inactive accounts, which are accounts that have remained inactive for 6 (Six) months or more, or an account for which the necessary KYC/identification documents have expired and not been updated. This USD 50 fee is taken directly from a client’s account balance; if there are insufficient funds to cover the fee, the remaining balance will be taken.

What it costsA balance of USD 300 loses USD 50 a month once the account counts as inactive. After six months it is nothing.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA or CySEC must set out costs and charges to a retail client before they trade. This fee is not in the Client Agreement at all: the agreement points to a web page for the amount.

FX Choice is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 3The fee empties the account, and the closure clause hands anything left to the company.
03

When FXChoice closes a dormant account, it emails you a termination date and can move your balance to another account you name. Money you do not claim to a named payment account is treated as abandoned, and FXChoice keeps it.

In plain words

Dormancy means an account left unused.

Why this matters

A stale email address is all it takes to lose the balance. The same sentence appears three times in one policy, once for each way FXChoice can close your account.

Exhibit 3CriticalRarely seen

Funds not requested by the Client to be returned to an exact payment system of the Client will be considered abandoned and will become the property of FX Choice Limited.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK)

Firms licensed by the FCA keep owing unclaimed client money to the client, and may only release it after years of tracing effort and an undertaking to pay the client if they return. This policy transfers the money to FX Choice Limited.

FX Choice is not licensed by this regulator, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

Our readingDormancy clauses usually park an unclaimed balance or pass it to the state as unclaimed property. This one moves ownership of client money to the broker itself.

04

You can ask for the money not tied up in open trades at any time, and FXChoice has 3 business days to process it. It can reject the request if it deems it may not be legitimate, and the contract sets no test for that.

Why this matters

A suspicion under the money laundering policy lets FXChoice freeze the account with no prior notice and no deadline to finish looking. It can also postpone a payout while a payment provider is out of service.

Exhibit 4CriticalHarder than usual3 working days

The Client has the right to withdraw, at any time, any part of the Funds equal to the free margin that is available in the relevant trading account provided that there are Funds available. It should be noted that such request may take up to 3 (three) business days in order to be processed.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

FX Choice is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

05

You get 2 business days from the moment an order executes to dispute its price, cost, speed or method. After that the order is conclusive and binding, whether or not you noticed anything wrong.

Why this matters

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA or CySEC give a retail client months to complain, and an independent ombudsman to go to afterwards. Here the deadline is 2 business days and the last stop is the broker's own compliance department.

FX Choice is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

06

FXChoice links three legal documents in its footer, and the Client Agreement is not one of them. That agreement governs your account, and depositing money counts as accepting it in full.

Why this matters

You can agree to the harshest terms here without ever seeing them. The agreement also overrides anything else FXChoice has told you, including its marketing pages.

Money FXChoice cannot return becomes money it keeps

Three clauses in the FXChoice deposit policy end with the same sentence: funds not claimed to a named payment account become the property of FX Choice Limited. A separate clause lets FXChoice deduct profit where it decides the trading system was abused, a term the policy never defines.

Ownership of your balance1 clause flagged

If FXChoice decides you abused the trading system or acted without good faith, it can close your positions without telling you first. It can then delay your withdrawals and deduct the profit.

Why this matters

Neither abuse nor good faith is defined anywhere in the policy. FXChoice decides, and the same clause lets it block your profile while it works out the damage.

What the FXChoice site advertises is not what the agreement says

FXChoice pages promise leverage up to 1:1000 while the Client Agreement caps it at 1:200. The site sells a VPS to users of automated trading programs, and the agreement makes using one a ground for ending the service. Registrations are paused, and every page still invites you to start trading with USD 10.

Promise against contract3 clauses flagged

Pages across the FXChoice site promise flexible leverage up to 1:1000. The Client Agreement says you set leverage in a range from 1:1 to 1:200 when you open the account.

Why this matters

Leverage decides how much you can trade for each dollar of your own money. The two documents do not agree, and the contract is the one that binds you.

Exhibit 10WarningHarder than usual

The Client shall set the leverage that may range from 1:1 to 1:200, during the account opening process and he/ she may send a request to amend the leverage level, at any time, through FXChoice account management system.

FXChoice sells a VPS and says it suits you if you run an expert advisor, a program that trades your account automatically. The Client Agreement lets FXChoice end your service if it notices you using one.

Why this matters

You can pay a monthly fee for a product whose use is a stated ground for ending your service. The same clause covers trailing stops.

Exhibit 11WarningRarely seen

The Client accepts that FXChoice bears no responsibility for the download, installation and use of any trading related solutions such as expert advisors or trailing stops; if it comes to the attention of the FXChoice that the Client is using any such solutions the former has the right to terminate the provision of investment and ancillary services to the latter, under the ‘Termination and Default’ section of the Client Agreement, in order to protect the orderly operation of the trading platform(s).

Our readingBrokers commonly restrict how automated systems trade. Selling a product built for them while keeping a termination right for using them is the unusual part.

The Client Agreement says FXChoice works on a negative balance protection basis, so you cannot lose more than you put in. The risk warning at the foot of every page says you can lose more than your initial investment.

In plain words

Negative balance protection is a limit that stops you owing more than you put in. Without it, one fast market move can leave you owing the broker money on top of your deposit.

Why this matters

You cannot tell from the broker's own words whether a loss can follow you past your deposit. A third clause lets FXChoice take money from your other accounts to clear a negative balance.

Exhibit 12WarningHarder than usual

However, it should be noted that FXChoice operates on a ‘negative balance protection’ basis; this means that the Client cannot lose more than his/ her initial investment.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus), ESMA (EU)

Firms licensed by the FCA or CySEC must give retail clients negative balance protection, so a client can never owe the firm more than the account holds. FXChoice states that protection in its agreement and the opposite in its site footer.

FX Choice is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

The fee schedule that binds you is the one you cannot see yet

FXChoice sets deposit and withdrawal fees and says the version in your Backoffice prevails over the version on its website. Trading charges can change without written notice, and the Client Agreement says FXChoice provides no statements of account. Currency conversion runs at rates FXChoice takes from its own provider.

Cost disclosure1 clause flagged

FXChoice sets the fees for deposits and withdrawals, and publishes the amounts on its website and in your Backoffice. Where the two disagree, the policy says the Backoffice version wins.

Why this matters

You cannot check what a withdrawal costs before you open an account. FXChoice can also change trading charges without written notice, and the agreement says it provides no statements of account.

FX Choice is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

50 million in turnover for a USD 1,000 bonus, in the broker's own example

50 million in turnover is what the FXChoice bonus terms require to release a USD 1,000 bonus, and you get 90 days. Withdrawing any part of your deposit loses the bonus. Your profit stays withdrawable, and FXChoice can change or end the programme at any time without notice.

Bonus lock1 clause flagged

A bonus only becomes money you can withdraw after you hit a turnover target. The broker's own example puts a USD 1,000 bonus at 50 million in turnover, and gives you 90 days.

Why this matters

Withdraw any part of your deposit and the bonus goes. Your profit stays withdrawable, but there may be no margin call warning before a stop out closes your positions.

Exhibit 9WarningHarder than usual90 days

EXAMPLE 1: You receive USD 1,000 bonus. To withdraw the received bonus, you need to trade USD 1,000 / 2 = 500 turnover units (equal to 50 million in terms of turnover).

Expired documents make an account dormant, and consent ends only with the account

FXChoice treats an account whose identity documents have expired as inactive, which starts the USD 50 monthly fee. Withdrawing consent to process your personal data can only be done, in the agreement's own words, by terminating the agreement.

Documents and consent1 clause flagged

The Client Agreement says you can withdraw permission to process your personal data at any time. It then says this can only be done by terminating the agreement.

Why this matters

Keeping the account means keeping the consent. Letting your identity documents expire counts as inactivity too, which starts the USD 50 monthly fee.

The FXChoice Client Agreement allows the firm to act as market maker, to decide whether it deals as principal or agent, and to match opposite orders from different clients. Its own quotes are the reference price, and the agreement tells you to disregard prices from any other source.

Who is on the other side1 clause flagged

FXChoice can act as market maker, which means it can take the other side of your trade. It decides whether it deals with you as principal or agent, and it can match opposite orders from different clients.

In plain words

Who the contract is with

FX Choice Limited

You contract with FX Choice Limited, registered in Belize under number 000003992, and the Belize courts have exclusive jurisdiction. The company's own documents give two different regulator numbers. The terms name licence 000067/301, while the site footer names registration 000067/34 under the Securities Industry Act 2021. The bonus terms print an older Belize address, card payment queries go to a postal address in Hong Kong, and client support answers on a Mexican number.

Quotations are copied verbatim from the documents named above, with the clause number and the page each one came from. Where a clause is quoted in another language, the original is shown first and the English is a translation.

The plain-language parts, what a clause means for a client, how ordinary it is, and how it reads against a regulated standard, are WIKILIX's analysis and are labelled as such on every card. This is a reading of public documents, not legal advice and not an allegation of wrongdoing.

In fairness, and what we could not check

A reader who knows the edges of the work can trust the middle of it

The Client Agreement promises negative balance protection, so you cannot lose more than you put in. Clause 9.1 says client money sits with an institution, separate from the firm's own funds. The bonus terms let you withdraw profit without restriction and cap a single bonus at USD 5,000. When its regulator barred crypto, FXChoice published a dated notice, set a deadline and told clients how to get their money out. The terms are translated into ten languages, which most offshore brokers do not do.

We read the three legal pages the site links, plus the Client Agreement and the bonus terms. We found those last two ourselves, as PDF files that no page in the site's navigation points to. We did not read the data protection notice end to end. The Client Agreement gives two different numbers to the same clause in places, so a number here may not match the one printed in another copy. The fee schedule that the deposit policy says prevails sits inside the client Backoffice. We cannot see it, so the fees a client actually pays are not covered here. No earlier version of these documents is available, so this is a first reading with nothing to compare against.

How to check any of this yourself

Every quote above links to the FX Choice file it came from. This is what to do with it.

Open the three stepsFind the words in the source, work out the fingerprint, and read what a difference does and does not prove.

Open the source and search for the words

Every quote has a link under it. Open the file, or the web page, and search it for the words we quote. The clause number next to the quote tells you where to look.

If the words are not there any more, the source may have changed after we read it. That is worth knowing too. We keep the date we read it, and a code worked out from its wording, so the quote stays checkable.

What a fingerprint is

A fingerprint is a code worked out from what a source says. Change one word and the code changes completely. We keep two codes for every file we read, and the panel on each source shows both.

The first is the code of the exact file we downloaded. The second is the code of its wording alone, with capital letters lowered and runs of spaces collapsed. When the same words are saved as a new file, the first code changes and the second one stays the same.

Only the first code can be worked out on your own computer. Save the file, then run one of these, putting the name of the file you saved where the example is. The panel on each source prints the command with that source's real file name already in it.

  shasum -a 256 the-file-you-saved.pdf

Windows:
  certutil -hashfile the-file-you-saved.pdf SHA256

The two codes are different from each other, and they are not meant to match. Comparing one against the other proves nothing.

What a difference means, and what it does not

A different file code on its own proves nothing. A PDF saved again with a new date inside it is a new file saying exactly the same thing.

A different wording code means the words themselves changed. That is the one that matters, and it is why we keep it.

Even then, a change is not proof of bad faith. Companies update their documents. What this report says is what the document said on the day we read it, and every quote carries that date.

A source that is a web page and not a file has no file to save, so only the code of its wording is shown.

How this report is made

Every clause quoted above comes from a document FX Choice publishes on its own website, downloaded and hashed on the date shown, with the clause number and page recorded so any reader can check it. We do not allege anything the documents do not say, and we do not judge FX Choice on anything other than its own published terms and its own public marketing. Where a clause has a qualifier that softens it, the report says so. Last read Sep 22, 2026.

If you represent FX Choice and a clause has changed, been withdrawn, or is being read out of context, tell us and we will re-read the documents and update this page. Corrections from the broker are welcome and are published with the reading they change. Contact us.

This is a reading of a contract, not legal advice and not a ruling on FX Choice. Whether its licence is real and current is a separate check on the broker profile.
