Is GCFX a scam?

Likely scamMEDIUM confidence
Updated August 6, 2026
Offshore money-broking licence misused for a managed-account CFD withdrawal trap

GCFX (gcfx24.com) is high risk and shows the hallmarks of a scam. It takes deposits for retail CFD trading on the strength of a narrow Labuan money-broking permit, runs on a website that is not the one on the regulator's record, and its customers repeatedly report blocked withdrawals.

  • The single licence is genuine but narrow: a Labuan FSA money-broking (intermediary) permit, number MB/20/0056, held by Global Capital Market Limited. It does not authorise running a retail trading book.
  • The Labuan record lists support@gcm-fx.com as the official contact. That domain is now dead. The live site, gcfx24.com, is not the address on the register.
  • Reviews are heavily negative: Trustpilot sits at 2.3 with 70 percent one-star, and customers describe managed accounts, pushy account managers, engineered losses and money they could not withdraw.
  • An independent review service also rates it unsafe and cites a case where only 500 dollars of a 2,000 dollar withdrawal was paid.

Regulation

7/10 · High

Genuine Labuan FSA money-broking licence MB/20/0056 confirmed in force on the register, but it is a low-tier offshore intermediary permit used out of scope for retail CFD dealing, and the operating domain is not the one on record.

Identity & transparency

6/10 · High

Real registered entity, director and address exist, but the live site uses a different address than the register and operates on gcfx24.com while the record still points to the defunct gcm-fx.com.

Withdrawals & conduct

7/10 · High

Multiple specific fund-access complaints across platforms (managed losses, partial or refused withdrawals), though the firm does reply and a minority report payouts.

Reputation

7/10 · High

Trustpilot 2.3 with 70 percent one-star and an independent site rating the broker unsafe; positive reviews cluster around account managers and signals, a managed-account pattern.

Website claims

7/10 · High

Presents an intermediary money-broking permit as full regulation, and the earlier site claimed more than ten years of experience for a 2019 company.

Operational history

4/10 · Moderate

Entity active since late 2019 with continuity from gcm-fx.com, which is somewhat reassuring, but the original domain is now defunct and operations moved off the licensed domain.

Who they are

A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.

  • Brand: GCFX
  • Legal entity: Global Capital Market Limited (Labuan company number LL16397)
  • Registered: Q4-17/BT, U0066, 1st Floor, Jalan OKK Awang Besar, 87007 Labuan F.T., Malaysia
  • Website: gcfx24.com (the former site gcm-fx.com, the domain on the regulator's record, is now defunct)
  • Only licence: Labuan FSA Money Broking licence MB/20/0056, an intermediary permit, not a dealing licence
  • Offers: MT5 and web-based CFDs on forex, indices, shares, metals, commodities, cryptocurrencies, bonds and ETFs
  • Not accepted: United States, Belgium, Canada, Singapore, Japan
  • Age claim: the entity was incorporated on 26 November 2019, yet the older site claimed 'more than 10 years of experience'

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

We reached a likely-scam verdict because the regulation is misrepresented and the customer experience points to a withdrawal trap.

  • The licence does not cover what they do. We confirmed Global Capital Market Limited on the Labuan FSA money-broker register on 6 August 2026. A money-broking licence lets a firm act as an intermediary for a fee. GCFX instead runs a full retail CFD platform, holds client deposits and lets 'account managers' trade the account. That is outside the permit.
  • The site is not the one on the register. The Labuan record gives the official contact as support@gcm-fx.com and an address on Jalan OKK Awang Besar. The live site is gcfx24.com and shows a different, grander address. The domain of record, gcm-fx.com, no longer works.
  • Customers report they cannot get their money out. Trustpilot shows 2.3 out of 5 across 40 reviews, with 70 percent at one star. Complaints from March 2025 to January 2026 describe managed accounts, engineered losses and refused or partial withdrawals.
  • An independent review site rates it unsafe and reports a client who asked for 2,000 dollars and received only 500 after several days.
  • The marketing overstates the firm. The earlier site claimed more than ten years of experience for a company registered in 2019.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

In fairness, several facts point the other way, which is why we did not call this a confirmed scam.

  • The company is real and the licence is in force. Global Capital Market Limited is a genuine Labuan company (LL16397, incorporated 26 November 2019) and appears on the Labuan FSA list of licensed money brokers, last updated 29 July 2026.
  • There is continuity, not a fresh fake. The current brand is the same operation that ran gcm-fx.com since about 2022, with the same entity, licence number and registered address. This looks like the same operator on a new domain rather than an unrelated impersonator.
  • They engage with complaints. The firm has a claimed Trustpilot profile and replies to several negative reviews, and a minority of users report successful payouts.
  • No regulator has named the site. As of 6 August 2026 we found no warning-list entry naming gcfx24.com.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

Our view would move with any of the following.

  • Toward scam: a Labuan FSA, Securities Commission Malaysia or IOSCO warning naming gcfx24.com, or an LFSA notice that the money-broking licence has been revoked, suspended or does not cover this activity.
  • Toward scam: more independent, dated withdrawal-refusal reports with amounts and ticket numbers across several platforms.
  • Toward lower risk: the Labuan FSA record being updated to list gcfx24.com as the official website, plus a broad base of verified successful withdrawals over time.
  • Toward lower risk: evidence that the operation holds a genuine dealing or market-making authorisation, not only an intermediary money-broking permit.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

11 questions
Is GCFX a scam?

GCFX shows the hallmarks of a scam and we rate it high risk. It takes deposits for retail CFD trading using only a narrow Labuan money-broking permit, operates on a domain that is not on the regulator's record, and many customers report they could not withdraw their money.

Is GCFX regulated?

Only lightly. Global Capital Market Limited holds a Labuan FSA money-broking licence (MB/20/0056), which we confirmed on the Labuan FSA register. This is an intermediary permit from a low-tier offshore regulator, not a retail dealing licence, so it gives clients little real protection.

Can I withdraw my money from GCFX?

Many users say no. Trustpilot reviews and an independent review service describe delayed, partial or refused withdrawals, including a case where only 500 dollars of a 2,000 dollar request was paid. Treat withdrawals as a serious risk.

Is my money safe with GCFX?

We would not treat it as safe. A money-broking licence does not require the deposit protection or compensation scheme that a tier-one regulator would, and the withdrawal complaints suggest client funds are hard to recover.

Who owns GCFX?

The operating entity is Global Capital Market Limited, a Labuan company (number LL16397) incorporated on 26 November 2019. The Labuan FSA record names Mr. Mohamed Mansour as director.

How old is GCFX?

The company was incorporated in November 2019. The gcfx24.com domain dates from May 2022. Note that an earlier version of the site claimed more than ten years of experience, which the incorporation date does not support.

What is a Labuan money-broking licence worth?

It is a low-tier offshore authorisation to act as an intermediary between buyers and sellers for a fee. It is not a licence to run a retail trading book, hold client deposits as a dealer, or make markets, so it offers weak protection to retail clients.

Why does the regulator list a different website?

The Labuan FSA record gives the official contact as support@gcm-fx.com. That domain, gcm-fx.com, was the firm's original site and is now defunct. The live site, gcfx24.com, is not the address on the register, which is a red flag.

Is GCFX a clone of another broker?

It is not impersonating a famous firm. It is the continuation of the same Global Capital Market operation that used gcm-fx.com. The concern is not a copied brand but a real but narrow licence being stretched to run a retail platform on an unregistered domain.

What should I do if I was scammed by GCFX?

Stop depositing, put a full withdrawal request in writing, and keep all records. Report the firm to the Labuan FSA, and if you are in the UAE, Egypt, Turkey or India, to your local financial regulator. Ignore any 'recovery agent' who asks for an upfront fee.

What should I check before depositing with any broker?

Confirm the exact legal entity and licence number on the regulator's own register, check that the website you are using is the one on that record, read recent independent reviews for withdrawal problems, and be cautious of anyone offering to trade the account for you.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

Treat GCFX as high risk and do not deposit until the concerns are resolved.

  • Do not send new funds, and be wary of any 'account manager' who trades for you or asks for more money to release a withdrawal.
  • If you hold a balance, request a full withdrawal in writing and keep records of every request and reply.
  • Check the firm yourself on the Labuan FSA money-broker list and note that the licence is an intermediary permit, not a retail trading licence.
  • If you cannot withdraw, complain to the Labuan FSA and, for residents of the UAE, Egypt, Turkey or India where the firm markets, to your local financial regulator.

This is an independent assessment of risk, not a legal ruling. Scores and verdicts follow the Wikilix broker-safety methodology and can change as new evidence appears. Review scores are treated with caution when a broker’s reviews look manipulated. Last reviewed August 6, 2026.
