Why we reached this verdict
How the evidence adds up.
We rate GO Markets high risk, not legitimate. The companies that serve most international clients carry a standing regulator warning, an unlicensed arm and a repeating complaint pattern. The brand itself is real and licensed, and nothing we found shows a scam.
- The licences are real: the ASIC, CySEC, FSC Mauritius and FSA Seychelles registers all list the GO Markets companies the broker names. Websites and addresses match wherever the register records them.
- The ASIC licence does not cover offshore clients: gomarkets.com/en clients sign with the Mauritius company. Its LEI record names individuals as its parents, not the Australian licensee. Its terms name no compensation scheme and no outside complaints body. They also let segregated client money be used to hedge the firm's own risk.
- A regulator warning stands: on 24 May 2024, Japan's Kanto Local Finance Bureau warned Go Markets Pty Ltd (MU) for soliciting OTC derivatives to Japanese residents without registration. Archived copies show a Japanese-language GO Markets site, run by the St Vincent company, from November 2024 to at least March 2026.
- An unlicensed arm takes clients: GO Markets LLC is only a St Vincent business company. Yet its pages tell visitors GO Markets is supported by robust regulation, and that regulation belongs to its sister companies.
- The same complaint keeps coming back: since April 2025, at least a dozen fund-related complaints on Trustpilot and BrokersView describe two things. Profits were voided when a withdrawal was requested, and large USDT withdrawals were held under review for weeks or months. The Mauritius terms let GO Markets void winning trades it suspects while still enforcing losing ones.
- What keeps the score down: a company on the Australian register since 1998 and licensed since 2004. A 4.2 Trustpilot score on 758 reviews, with replies to 95% of negative ones. Regulator alerts that treat GO Markets as the firm being impersonated. And no enforcement action we could find from ASIC, CySEC or the FSC.
Evidence ledger
Every finding, with its source and how strongly it points.
E1ASIC lists GO MARKETS PTY LTD (ACN 081 864 039) as a current Australian financial services licensee: licence 254963, commenced 10 March 2004, principal website gomarkets.com, principal place of business Level 7, 447 Collins Street, Melbourne. Its conditions, as at 7 September 2023, allow it to deal in and make a market in derivatives and FX contracts for retail and wholesale clients. Name, website and address all match the broker.
Hard proofASIC Professional RegistersE2CySEC lists Go Markets Ltd (ex Galactus Ltd): licence 322/17 dated 25 April 2017, company HE 351644, approved domains www.gomarkets.eu and www.gomarkets.com/en-eu. It may execute orders and deal on own account, with cross-border services across the EEA. This licence covers EU clients only.
E3A name search on the FSC Mauritius public register returns GO Markets Pty Ltd as an SEC-2.1B Investment Dealer (Full Service Dealer excluding Underwriting), dated 8 July 2022, licensee status company is incorporated. It is managed by Mauritius International Trust Company, with a registered office at Ebene Skies. This is the licence printed in the gomarkets.com/en footer (GB 19024896), and it is an offshore, tier-3 licence.
E4The FSA Seychelles Securities Dealer list includes Go Markets International Ltd at IMAD Complex, Ile du Port, Mahe, phone +248 4671903, website www.int.gomarkets.com. That website now redirects to gomarkets.com/en-int, whose footer cites licence SD043 and company 8425985-1. This is an offshore licence with limited protection.
E5On 24 May 2024, Japan's Kanto Local Finance Bureau published a warning to the unregistered firm Go Markets Pty Ltd (MU), Level 7, ICONEBENE, Rue de l'Institut, Ebene. The warning says the firm solicited over-the-counter derivative trades over the internet, under the service name GO Markets. This is a regulator finding of solicitation in Japan without registration, not a finding of fraud. IOSCO I-SCAN carries the same entry.
E6Archived copies of gomarkets-jp.com from 22 November 2024, 12 February 2025 and 14 March 2026 show a Japanese-language GO Markets site operated by GO Markets LLC (St Vincent, 332 LLC 2020). It used support.jp@gomarkets.com, opened accounts at apply.gomarkets-jp.com, and served legal documents from GO Markets' own document store. It corroborates E5: solicitation in Japanese continued after the May 2024 warning, through a company with no licence. The domain was registered on 19 April 2024 and no longer serves pages.
E7The Trustpilot page for gomarkets.com carries about a dozen fund-related reviews since April 2025 with checkable details. USDT withdrawals of USD 25,813.77 (requested 23 April 2025) and USD 23,649.33 (requested 4 April 2025) were held under review after extra video checks. About GBP 7,104 of profits was cancelled on 12 August 2025, and USD 3,293 and USD 2,746 were voided in May 2026. A client of the St Vincent company says a withdrawal was rejected and left unexplained for about a year. An account holding more than USD 220,000 was frozen in October 2026, which GO Markets says is under review.
E8BrokersView records profit deductions on accounts 81247240 (more than USD 4,000, April 2026) and 81252728 (USD 3,763, March 2026), with only the principal refunded. It attributes the USD 25,813.77 USDT withdrawal held since April 2025 to GO Markets LLC (St Vincent). That last case is the same client as a Trustpilot review, so it counts once.
ModerateBrokersView complaint recordsE9758 reviews with a TrustScore of 4.2: 83% five-star, 8% four-star, 6% one-star, and 84 reviews in the last 12 months. GO Markets replied to 95% of negative reviews, usually within 24 hours. The company invites customers to leave reviews, which tends to lift scores, but many reviews describe fast payouts.
E10Clause 18.5 lets GO Markets act at its sole discretion and without notice if it suspects price latency arbitrage or exploitation of its pricing. It may then treat positions as void where it owes the client money, enforce positions where the client owes it, and withhold funds. Clause 7.1.5 lets segregated client money be used to hedge or offset the firm's own risk. The terms name no compensation scheme and no external complaints body; disputes go to GO Markets' internal process and the courts of Mauritius.
E11The St Vincent pages are run by GO Markets LLC, a business company incorporated in St Vincent and the Grenadines (332 LLC 2020) with its head office in Kingstown. It uses the GO Markets trademarks with permission from GO IP Pty Ltd. The company holds no financial licence, yet its About page tells visitors GO Markets is supported by robust regulation and has regulated entities in Australia, Cyprus and Mauritius.
E12The Mars FX bankruptcy filings name GO Markets Pty Ltd, alongside Equiti Capital UK, as a broker expected to hold records for accounts of TRFX, 4XHUB and Treal. Those entities sit in the trail of roughly USD 567 million. GO Markets is not accused of wrongdoing.
E13Apart from the 2024 Japan entry, the I-SCAN alerts about GO Markets concern look-alike domains. They are an ASIC alert of 30 March 2026 titled Impersonation of Go Markets Pty Ltd (guaranteedstockmarket.net), an FMA alert for user.gromaroerkrest.cc, and a CONSOB alert for go-market-ltd.net. None of these domains belongs to GO Markets, and the regulators treat it as the genuine firm being copied.
ModerateIOSCO I-SCANE14ASIC's company dataset shows GO MARKETS PTY LTD (ACN 081 864 039) registered on 5 March 1998. It traded as Pacific Continental Securities (Australia) until it took the GO Markets name on 13 May 2008. gomarkets.com was registered on 10 December 1998, and the archive holds GO Markets pages from June 2008. The advertised start date of 2006 falls within this verified history.
E15The LEI record for GO Markets Pty Ltd (Mauritius) shows it is registered with the Mauritius company registry as C170969 and was created on 20 February 2020. It reports individuals as its direct and ultimate parents, so it is not a subsidiary of the ASIC-licensed Australian company. The LEI record for GO Markets LLC in St Vincent, created in April 2020, reports no known parent.

The other side
The strongest case in this broker’s favour.
The strongest case for GO Markets is that it is what it says it is: a long-running Australian broker that grew into a group with several licences.
- ASIC has licensed the same company since 2004 to make a market in CFDs for retail clients, and lists gomarkets.com as its website.
- CySEC approves gomarkets.com/en-eu and gomarkets.eu for the EU company. The FSC Mauritius and FSA Seychelles registers list the offshore companies the site names.
- Most regulator alerts that mention GO Markets are about impersonators on other domains. One is an ASIC alert from March 2026 about a site copying Go Markets Pty Ltd.
- Voiding profits made by latency arbitrage is a disclosed term at many market makers. GO Markets returned deposits in cases we read. Several withdrawal holds followed extra identity checks, which can be genuine anti-money-laundering reviews.
- The Japan warning is about registration, not missing money. The Japanese site no longer serves pages.
- GO Markets appears in the Mars FX bankruptcy only as a broker expected to hold account records. Nobody accuses it of wrongdoing there.
What would change this
What we would need to see to revise the verdict.
Several things would move this rating.
- Lower: GO Markets licensing or closing its St Vincent company, disclosing who owns the Mauritius and St Vincent companies, and confirming it no longer solicits Japanese residents.
- Lower: evidence that the 2025 and 2026 withdrawal holds were paid out, or an external dispute body open to offshore clients.
- Higher: an enforcement action or new warning naming GO Markets' own companies or domains, a new cluster of unpaid withdrawals, or any demand for a fee before funds are released.
- Higher: suspension or cancellation of the ASIC or CySEC licence.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about this broker’s safety.
Is GO Markets a scam?
No. GO Markets is a real broker group: its Australian company has held ASIC licence 254963 since 2004, and its EU company is licensed by CySEC. We rate it high risk for clients of its offshore companies. The reasons are a 2024 warning from a Japanese regulator, an unlicensed St Vincent arm, and a recurring pattern of withdrawal and cancelled-profit complaints.
Is GO Markets a fraud?
We found no evidence of fraud. No regulator or court has made a fraud finding against GO Markets, and we found no enforcement action by ASIC, CySEC or the FSC Mauritius against its companies. The Japanese warning is about soliciting clients without registration, not about missing money.
Is GO Markets regulated?
Yes, in parts. GO Markets Pty Ltd is licensed by ASIC (tier 1) and Go Markets Ltd by CySEC (tier 2). GO Markets Pty Ltd (MU) is licensed by the FSC Mauritius and Go Markets International Ltd by the FSA Seychelles, both offshore regulators. GO Markets LLC in St Vincent holds no financial licence.
Which GO Markets company would hold my money?
It depends on where you live and which site you sign up on. Australian clients deal with the ASIC company and EU clients with the Cyprus company. The global site gomarkets.com/en is run by the Mauritius company, and the /en-svg pages by the unlicensed St Vincent company. Check the company named on your client agreement before you deposit.
Is my money safe with GO Markets?
It is safest with the Australian or EU company, which strong regulators supervise. With the Mauritius company, client money is segregated, but the terms allow it to be used to hedge the firm's own risk, and they name no compensation scheme. With the St Vincent company there is no financial regulator at all.
Can I withdraw my money from GO Markets?
Many clients report fast withdrawals, and GO Markets has a 4.2 score on Trustpilot. Since 2025, though, a number of clients describe large crypto withdrawals held under review for weeks or months, and profits cancelled when they asked to withdraw. Test a small withdrawal first and keep records.
Why would GO Markets cancel my profits?
Clause 18.5 of its Mauritius terms lets it treat profitable positions as void, and withhold the related funds, if it believes you used latency arbitrage or exploited its pricing. Positions where you owe money still stand. Several clients say this happened after a profitable run. Avoid high-frequency or arbitrage-style trading on its offshore accounts.
What is the Japanese warning about GO Markets?
On 24 May 2024, Japan's Kanto Local Finance Bureau warned Go Markets Pty Ltd (MU) for soliciting OTC derivative trades from Japanese residents over the internet without registration. A Japanese-language GO Markets site run by the St Vincent company GO Markets LLC was still online in March 2026. GO Markets is not registered in Japan.
What is GO Markets LLC?
It is a business company registered in St Vincent and the Grenadines (no. 332 LLC 2020). It runs gomarkets.com/en-svg under a trademark licence from GO IP Pty Ltd. A St Vincent company registration is not a financial licence, so its clients have no regulator and no compensation scheme. Some withdrawal complaints name this company.
How old is GO Markets, and who is behind it?
The Australian company was registered on 5 March 1998. It has held its ASIC licence since 10 March 2004 and took the GO Markets name in May 2008, and gomarkets.com was registered in 1998. The Mauritius company dates from February 2020, and its LEI record names individuals, not the Australian company, as its owners.
Is GO Markets a clone?
No. The real GO Markets uses gomarkets.com and its regional pages. ASIC lists gomarkets.com, and CySEC lists gomarkets.com/en-eu and gomarkets.eu. Several look-alike sites are clones that regulators have flagged, including one ASIC named in March 2026.
What should I check before depositing with GO Markets?
Confirm which company your agreement is with, and check that company's licence on its regulator's register. Read the terms on voided trades and withdrawals. Only follow links on gomarkets.com, and start with a small deposit and a test withdrawal.
What can I do if my GO Markets withdrawal is stuck?
Complain to GO Markets in writing and keep every ticket, email and transaction ID. Clients of the Australian company can escalate to the external dispute resolution scheme shown on its ASIC register entry. Clients of the Mauritius company can contact the FSC Mauritius. If anyone asks for a fee to release your funds, treat it as a scam and stop paying.
What we recommend
The practical takeaway from everything above.
If you trade with GO Markets, choose which company you sign with.
- Australia: use the ASIC-licensed GO Markets Pty Ltd, and check AFSL 254963 on ASIC's register.
- EU: use Go Markets Ltd (CySEC 322/17), through gomarkets.com/en-eu or gomarkets.eu.
- Everywhere else: read the account documents to see which company holds your money. The Mauritius company offers limited protection. The St Vincent company offers none.
- Japan: GO Markets is not registered in Japan, and Japan's regulator has warned its Mauritius company.
- Avoid high-frequency or arbitrage-style strategies, which the offshore terms let GO Markets void. Test a small withdrawal before you fund the account fully.
- Use only gomarkets.com and its regional pages. Look-alike domains are clones, and regulators have flagged several.
- If a withdrawal stalls, complain in writing and keep every ticket and transaction ID. Never pay a fee to release funds.
This is an independent assessment of risk, not a legal ruling. Scores and verdicts follow the Wikilix broker-safety methodology and can change as new evidence appears.
