Broker Summary
What Wikilix has recorded about HFTrading: its history, the licences it holds, its trading conditions and its fees.
Introduction and General Information
HFTrading is one of the online brokerage firms that provide forex and Contract for Difference (CFD) trading to customers, with both types of trade being available via their platform. Although there are many sources that provide some level of detail on HFTrading, detailed information from reputable agencies on HFTrading is scarce, scattered and frequently in conflict with other sources. This article provides an overview of HFTrading based on the information available to me, so it includes information about HFTrading's offerings, regulations and overall reputation.
As the lack of a central place to find out about HFTrading and no dedicated, active website for HFTrading make it difficult for any investor or trader to make an informed decision about using HFTrading, this article includes all of the known pieces of information I could find about HFTrading.
History and Background
Knowledge about HFTrading's history is very basic and conflicting. Some sources claim that CTRL Investments Limited is a registered New Zealand/Australian company that was originally registered as CTRL Investments Limited, while others claim that CTRL Investments Limited is not a registered company in New Zealand. Most sources have reported that HFTrading started to offer services around 2012, while others report it started in 2021, and that the broker has headquarters in either Australia or New Zealand. Without a central, verifiable history or a specific website to check with for confirming claims made about HFTrading, it is nearly impossible to determine a definitive corporate history for HFTrading.
Main Features/Services
Although there are not a lot of official documents available for HFTrading, thereHFTrading is primarily reported to be a provider of the very successful and therefore well-known MetaTrader 4 (MT4). With respect to account types, HFTrading offers clients three different types of accounts: A Silver Account, a Gold Account, and a Platinum Account, all of which have a starting deposit requirement of approximately $100.
HFTrading has established itself as an STP (Straight Through Processing) broker, offering its customers variable spreads; there is no commission charged. There is also a wide variety of methods that may be used to fund an HFTrading account including Visa, MasterCard, Skrill and Neteller, to name a few. Although funds can be transferred immediately without having to wait for confirmation from your bank, an HFTrading account must pass through the Know Your Customer (KYC) verification process in order to activate the account.

Regulatory Status & Licensing
Compliance with regulatory requirements is one of the most important aspects of evaluating a trading broker. Since, the regulatory status of HFTrading appears to be not clearly defined, and because of the various reports that offer contradictory information regarding the regulatory authority of HFTrading. For example, some reports state that HFTrading is regulated by the Financial Markets Authority in New Zealand or the Australian Securities and Investment Commission in Australia via its financial services license held with CTRL Investments Ltd and other reports are unable to support the claims made by www.hftrading.com regarding HFTrading's regulation.
In addition to its confusing regulatory status, WikiFX, which is a regulatory watchdog, issues warnings regarding HFTrading, indicating that HFTrading is an affiliate of another broker with a very similar corporate structure. This creates serious doubtThe HF Trading other than to offer clients excellent customer service, financial regulation bodies did not confirm the HF Trading claim as they were submitted to the Australian and New Zealand Regulators and pending verification or review as creditors have been filed by both regulators against the HF Trading. HF Trading was classified as a clone firm through WikiFX.
The trading experience with HF Trading was due to the various platforms that the HF Trading broker operates. The HF Trading platform provides users the ability to automate trading, has an easy interface provided by the Meta Trader 4 platform. HF Trading's platform uses a straight-through processing (STP) model that allows for the quickest trade execution possible while minimising potential conflicts of interest that can arise.
There are currently two sources with details on HF Trading's trading conditions (spreads, leverage, and minimum deposit). There is no direct verification from HF Trading to substantiate any claim made by either of the two sources.
HF Trading Official Website
At this time, the only known information regarding the types and quantities of accounts available through HF Trading. There is not enough evidence available to confirm HF Trading is a legitimate broker due to the absence of a website and therefore, there is no opportunity to provide a full feature set of HF Trading. There are several articles that have been produced by other brokers, but the consistency and reputation of any of these articles differs considerably as they are all based on limited information.
HF Trading Fees and Trading
HF Trading's fee structure can only be assessed on the availability of limited information and significantly disrupted sources. As there are no fees available to public view in relation to withdrawal/deposit of account funds, the evaluation of the net commission costs as compared to net revenue generated from the account would need further consideration. Below is an outline of HF Trading's fee structure.
Conclusion
The lack of the ability to access HF Trading's website along with the absence of any other valid source of information has made it impossible to assess the claim of HF Trading as a legitimate broker. The ongoing regulatory warning of HF Trading being classified as a clone firm is still valid.
Traders should seek to trade using brokers that maintain a transparent licensing process, provide verifiable evidence of the regulation, and maintain a positive public perception.
Regulatory Licenses
HFTrading is listed with a tier-1 or tier-2 licence that we have not yet checked against the regulator's register. An unchecked row is not a finding either way.
