Is IQCent a scam?

Confirmed scamHIGH confidence
Updated August 11, 2026
Unlicensed binary options broker / withdrawal trap

Yes, IQCent (iqcent.com, operated by Wave Makers LTD) behaves as a scam and should be avoided. It holds no genuine licence, sits on multiple government regulators' warning lists, and users report that their money does not come back.

  • The UK FCA and Spain's CNMV both warn against it, and Italy (CONSOB), Portugal (CMVM), the Netherlands (AFM), Canada (CSA) and Ukraine (NSSMC) have flagged it too.
  • Its only 'oversight' is the IFMRRC, a private membership body, not a financial regulator. There is no real licence anywhere.
  • It is an offshore shell in the Marshall Islands (Wave Makers LTD, Nr. 103581), selling binary options that are banned for retail clients in the UK and EU.
  • Trustpilot sits at about 1.5 out of 5, with most reviews describing blocked or endlessly delayed withdrawals.
  • The main domain is now under a law-enforcement seizure lock at the registry level, a very unusual and serious signal.

Risk scorecard

Each area is scored 0 (clean) to 10 (worst). Higher means more risk.

Worst area: Critical
SeverityLowModerateHighCritical

Regulation

7/10 · High

No genuine licence. Only a private IFMRRC membership, and it is on the FCA, CNMV, CONSOB, CMVM, AFM, CSA and NSSMC warning lists.

Identity & transparency

7/10 · High

Entity and address are disclosed and consistent, but it is an offshore shell that rotates alias domains and whose main domain now carries a seizure lock.

Withdrawals & conduct

9/10 · Critical

Consistent fund-integrity complaints across platforms: withdrawals stalled or blocked, stalling excuses, small early payouts then larger ones refused.

Reputation

9/10 · Critical

Trustpilot around 1.5 out of 5 with roughly 60 percent one-star, plus multiple national regulator warnings.

Website claims

8/10 · Critical

Presents a private IFMRRC membership as if it were regulation and solicits clients in jurisdictions where it has no permission.

Operational history

4/10 · Moderate

Domain and company verifiably date to 2017, so longevity is real, but the operation churns domains and its main domain is now under a seizure lock.

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

The evidence points one way, and it is strong.

  • Two national regulators name it directly. The FCA published a warning about IQCent on 26 June 2025, listing the same Marshall Islands address used by Wave Makers LTD. Spain's CNMV warned on 3 November 2020 that Wave Makers Ltd (www.iqcent.com/es) is not authorised. Both are exact matches to this operation.
  • More regulators piled on. Italy's CONSOB, Portugal's CMVM, the Dutch AFM, Canada's CSA and Ukraine's NSSMC have all flagged IQCent as unauthorised.
  • No real licence exists. The only body it points to, the IFMRRC, is a private membership scheme, not a statutory regulator, and it is not recognised under IOSCO. The Marshall Islands does not license or supervise forex or binary options brokers.
  • Clients report they cannot get paid. Trustpilot rates it around 1.5 out of 5, with most reviews describing withdrawals stuck for weeks or months, blamed on 'system maintenance' or a 'platform update', and small payouts allowed early then larger ones blocked. That is a classic withdrawal-trap pattern, not a service gripe.
  • The domain carries a seizure lock. The .com registry currently delegates iqcent.com to law-enforcement seizure nameservers and applies registry-level holds that only the registry can set, dated 23 April 2026. This is the signature of a United States domain seizure and should be treated as a serious red flag.

Note on operating history: the 9.5-year track record rests on domain registration alone. No company incorporation date could be established, so this is an upper bound rather than a confirmed age.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

In fairness, here is the case for the other side.

  • The company is real and consistently disclosed: Wave Makers LTD, Marshall Islands registration Nr. 103581, with a stable registered address that matches across sources.
  • The brand and its main domain have existed since 2017, so this is not a brand-new throwaway site.
  • Some positive reviews exist, and a few users report small successful withdrawals, which is common with brokers that pay out early to build trust.
  • Offshore registration on its own is a risk tier, not proof of theft, and hundreds of brokers operate offshore without being seized.

None of this survives contact with the record. A disclosed shell company in a jurisdiction with no financial regulator gives clients no protection, early small payouts are part of the trap, and the multi-regulator warnings plus the withdrawal-denial pattern and the registry seizure lock outweigh the mitigating points.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

We would revisit this verdict if the facts changed in specific ways.

  • A genuine, verifiable licence from a real regulator (FCA, ASIC, CySEC or similar) appearing on that regulator's own register for Wave Makers LTD.
  • The FCA, CNMV and the other authorities removing IQCent from their warning lists.
  • The registry seizure lock on iqcent.com being lifted and shown to be an error, with the domain returned to normal nameservers.
  • A sustained, verifiable record of clients receiving full withdrawals on demand, replacing the current pattern of blocked payouts.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

12 questions
Is IQCent a scam?

The evidence says treat it as one. It has no genuine licence, sits on the FCA, CNMV and other regulators' warning lists, and users widely report blocked withdrawals. We rate it a confirmed scam.

Is IQCent regulated?

No. Its only claimed oversight is the IFMRRC, which is a private membership body, not a government regulator. The Marshall Islands, where its company is registered, does not license forex or binary options brokers.

Can I withdraw my money from IQCent?

Many users say they cannot. Reviews describe withdrawals stuck for weeks or months, blamed on 'system maintenance' or a 'platform update', with larger payouts blocked after small early ones are allowed.

Is my money safe with IQCent?

No. Because there is no real regulator, there is no compensation scheme and no ombudsman. If the firm keeps your funds, it is very hard to get them back.

Who owns IQCent?

It is operated by Wave Makers LTD, a company registered in the Marshall Islands under number 103581, at an offshore address in Majuro.

How old is IQCent?

The company and the iqcent.com domain both date to 2017, and the trading operation grew from around 2023. Age alone does not make it safe.

What is the IFMRRC and is it a real regulator?

The IFMRRC is a private organisation that sells membership certificates to brokers. It is not a statutory financial regulator and is not recognised under IOSCO, so its 'certificate' gives clients no real protection.

Is IQCent a clone of another broker?

No. It is its own brand and does not appear to impersonate a licensed firm. The problem is that it operates unlicensed, not that it copies someone else.

Why do the FCA and CNMV warn about IQCent?

Because it offers financial services to UK and Spanish residents without permission from those authorities. The FCA warning lists the Marshall Islands address, and the CNMV named Wave Makers Ltd and iqcent.com directly.

What should I check before depositing with any broker?

Confirm the licence number on the regulator's own official register, check the regulator's warning list for the firm and its website, and read recent independent withdrawal reviews. IQCent fails all three checks.

What do I do if IQCent scammed me?

Gather all records, ask your bank about a chargeback or transfer recall, and report the loss to your national regulator and police. Do not pay any 'release fee' or trust anyone promising to recover your funds for an upfront payment.

Is binary options trading with IQCent legal in my country?

In the UK, EU and many other places, selling binary options to retail clients is restricted or banned. IQCent is offshore and unlicensed, so using it puts you outside any local protection.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

Treat IQCent as unsafe.

  • Do not deposit. Money sent here may not be returned.
  • If you already have a balance, request a full withdrawal now and keep dated screenshots of every request and reply.
  • If a withdrawal is refused or you are asked to pay a fee, tax or deposit to 'release' your funds, stop and do not pay. That is how the trap works.
  • If you used a card or bank transfer, contact your bank about a chargeback or recall, and report the loss to your national regulator or police.
  • Ignore any 'fund recovery' service that contacts you afterwards. Those often target victims a second time.
