Broker Summary
Summary of the broker
Market Equity Broker Overview
Market Equity is an offshore forex and CFD broker operating through two affiliated companies, Market Equity INC in Vanuatu and Market Equity Capital LTD in Mauritius, which the broker states jointly own and operate the website. The Vanuatu entity has carried a Legal Entity Identifier since November 2017. Trading is offered on MetaTrader 5 only, with a minimum deposit of $100, leverage up to 1:500 and three live account types.
Market Equity Regulation and License
The broker publishes two regulatory claims on its Licenses and Regulations page. Market Equity INC is stated to be licensed by the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission to carry on the business of dealing in securities under number 40221. Market Equity Capital LTD is stated to be regulated by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius as an Investment Dealer (Full-Service Dealer, Excluding Underwriting), under licence number GB24203983 and company number C222538.
Neither claim was confirmed against the issuing authority's own public register during this research, so both are recorded as claimed rather than independently confirmed regulation. The page also names a Legal Entity Identifier and membership of a Vanuatu markets association; neither is a licence.
Is Market Equity Regulated?
Market Equity claims regulation in two offshore jurisdictions and holds no licence from any major onshore authority. Vanuatu and Mauritius supervision does not carry the client money segregation rules, leverage caps or investor compensation schemes that a European, British or Australian licence would provide, so a client's practical recourse in a dispute is limited regardless of how the claims resolve.
Market Equity License 40221
Licence number 40221 is held in the name of MARKET EQUITY INC in Vanuatu, effective from 30 December 2022, and covers dealing in securities. The same number appears on the broker's own site as the company's Vanuatu registration number, so the licence identifier and the corporate registration number are not distinct. The Mauritius licence GB24203983 is the more recent of the two, effective from July 2025.
Is Market Equity Safe?
Safety cannot be assumed from the licences alone. In favour of the broker, the operating entity is real, named, and independently traceable: MARKET EQUITY INC appears on the GLEIF Legal Entity Identifier record as an active Vanuatu company registered since 27 November 2017, at the same Port Vila address the site publishes. Against it, the broker publishes no statement anywhere that client funds are held in segregated accounts, no compensation scheme applies in either jurisdiction, and the account opening form accepts registrations from jurisdictions the broker's own terms refuse to serve.
Market Equity Account Types
Three live accounts are offered, all on MetaTrader 5, all denominated in USD and all with a $100 minimum deposit, a 0.01 minimum lot size and a 20% stop out level.
- ECN: spreads from 0.0, commission $8 per lot, leverage to 1:500.
- Money Back: spreads from 14 ticks, no commission, 3 ticks returned per trade, leverage to 1:500.
- Scalping: spreads from 14 ticks, no commission, leverage capped lower at 1:200.
A MAM account for managed trading and a demo account are also published. All three live accounts are advertised as swap free.
Market Equity Spreads, Commissions and Fees
The choice is between paying commission and paying spread. The ECN account charges $8 per lot with spreads from 0.0, while the Money Back and Scalping accounts charge no commission but start at 14 ticks. The more significant cost for most clients is on funding: deposit fees run from 0.5% to 5.5% depending on the channel, which is high by industry standards and is charged before any trading begins.
Market Equity Leverage
Maximum leverage is 1:500 on the ECN and Money Back accounts and 1:200 on the Scalping account.
Market Equity Trading Platforms
MetaTrader 5 is the only platform. The broker distributes a branded Windows installer and provides access through Mac, the web terminal, iOS and Android, on the MarketEquityInc-Live and MarketEquityInc-Demo servers. No proprietary platform and no MetaTrader 4 offering are published.
Market Equity Deposits and Withdrawals
Nine funding channels are published on the funding page: Visa and Master Card at a 3.5% deposit fee, Sticpay at 3%, Neteller and Skrill at 4% to 5%, Virtual Pay at 5.5%, FasaPay at 0.5%, and K-Net and DusuPay with no stated fee. Minimum deposits are $100 on most channels, $50 on Virtual Pay and $20 on DusuPay. The broker accepts funds only from an account in the client's own name, refuses third party payments, and requires card deposits to be withdrawn back to the originating card. Withdrawal fees are published for only two of the nine channels.
Market Equity Support
Support runs Monday to Friday, 9AM to 5PM, from offices in Port Louis, Mauritius and Port Vila, Vanuatu, with a UK international number, separate email addresses per office and live chat on the site. English is the only language published.
Market Equity Pros and Cons
Strengths: a real and independently traceable operating company with a verifiable eight year corporate record, two named physical offices with direct telephone numbers, a fully published account and fee table, and a low $100 entry point.
Limitations: no onshore regulation and no investor compensation in either jurisdiction, neither licence claim independently confirmed, deposit fees of up to 5.5%, no published statement of client fund segregation, MetaTrader 5 as the only platform, and an onboarding form that does not enforce the broker's own stated country restrictions.
Market Equity Review and Assessment
Market Equity is a functioning offshore broker with an unusually transparent corporate disclosure for its tier, naming both operating entities, their registration numbers and their registered offices in full. The most important consideration before funding an account is that the protection sits well below what an onshore licence provides: the deposit is exposed to a Vanuatu and Mauritius framework with no compensation scheme, and the broker makes no published commitment to segregate client money. Anyone considering an account should weigh the funding costs and the absence of that commitment against the low entry threshold.

How we know
- 1Terms and Conditions (https://www.marketequity.com/en/terms-conditions/): the company does not offer or sell its products or services to citizens or residents of the United States of America, Belize, and the Member States of the European Union. US and BZ recorded as confirmed blocks.
- 2Site-wide footer risk warning, present on every page including https://www.marketequity.com/en/licenses-&-regulations: the information on this site is not directed at the residents of the United States, Russia, North Korea, Iran, Myanmar. RU, KP, IR and MM recorded as confirmed blocks alongside US.
- 3The 27 EU member states are recorded as likely rather than confirmed because the Terms name the union as a category and do not list its members individually.
- 4PR, GU, VI, AS and MP are recorded as dependent territories of the named United States block; none is itself named on any page.
- 5No whitelist is recorded. The registration form at https://portal.marketequityinc.com/RealAccount presents the full 246-entry ISO country set, including the United States, Belize and every EU member state that the Terms refuse, so the selector applies no onboarding filter and cannot evidence acceptance of any jurisdiction.
- 6The AML policy (https://www.marketequity.com/en/aml/) restricts by category only, naming sanction lists and high-risk countries without identifying any jurisdiction, so it adds no country codes.
- 7No dedicated restricted-countries page exists. The full main navigation and footer were enumerated on the site and contain no such link.
