Is MEKSA a scam?

High risk (unverified)MEDIUM confidence
Updated August 19, 2026
None (licensed national brokerage impersonated by a separate clone)

No. MEKSA (Meksa Yatirim Menkul Degerler A.S.) is a genuine Turkish brokerage, licensed by the Capital Markets Board of Turkey and trading on Borsa Istanbul since 1990. It is a real, regulated firm, not a scam. But a separate fraud impersonates its name, and that is where the scam reports come from.

  • Licensed as a broadly authorized brokerage and listed on the official Turkish Capital Markets Association (TSPB) and Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) registers.
  • A real, disclosed legal entity with a registered Istanbul head office, an independent auditor and public financial filings.
  • Warning: a separate scam impersonates this firm under names like 'Meksa Investment' on sites such as meksainvest.com, meksainvestment.com and meksaglobal.com. That clone is not the licensed firm.
  • The withdrawal-refusal and 'bonus not paid' complaints circulating online belong to that impersonation clone, not to the licensed brokerage.
  • The website on our old record (meksainvest.com) is the clone's and no longer resolves. The licensed firm's real site is meksa.com.tr.

Note: the risk figure shown is 65%, raised from an evidence-based 20% because no reviews of any kind across 3 platforms.

Risk scorecard

Each area is scored 0 (clean) to 10 (worst). Higher means more risk.

Worst area: Low
SeverityLowModerateHighCritical

Regulation

2/10 · Low

Broadly-authorized brokerage licence from the Capital Markets Board of Turkey, confirmed in force on the TSPB member register and KAP; a legitimate onshore national authorization.

Identity & transparency

2/10 · Low

Real, publicly-disclosed legal entity with a registered Istanbul head office, an independent auditor and filings on the public disclosure platform.

Withdrawals & conduct

2/10 · Low

No fund-integrity pattern against the licensed firm; the withdrawal and bonus complaints trace to the separate impersonation clone and were not attributed here.

Reputation

3/10 · Low

Long-established, well-known Turkish brokerage; the only reputational noise is caused by clones exploiting its name, which the firm has publicly disavowed.

Website claims

2/10 · Low

The licensed firm's claims (SPK-regulated, Borsa Istanbul member since 1990) are accurate and verifiable; no misrepresentation found.

Operational history

2/10 · Low

Established 1990, over three decades of verified operating history as a Borsa Istanbul member; well above the young-broker threshold.

Who they are

A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.

  • Brand: MEKSA (Meksa Yatirim)
  • Legal entity: Meksa Yatirim Menkul Degerler A.S.
  • Registered: Sehit Tegmen Ali Yilmaz Sokak, Guven Sazak Plaza No:13, Kavacik, 34810 Beykoz, Istanbul, Turkey
  • Website: meksa.com.tr (the real firm). meksainvest.com on our old record is a defunct impersonation domain, not the firm's.
  • Only licence: Capital Markets Board of Turkey (SPK) broadly authorized brokerage; member of the Turkish Capital Markets Association (TSPB); Borsa Istanbul member.
  • Offers: Turkish equities, derivatives (VIOP), funds, international markets, forex and investment services.
  • Not accepted: not stated; this is a domestic Turkish brokerage.
  • Age claim: established 28 June 1990 (as Meksa Menkul Degerler Ticareti A.S.; renamed Meksa Yatirim Menkul Degerler A.S. in 1998). This checks out.

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

We treated this as the licensed Turkish firm and confirmed it against official records, then separated it from the scam that borrows its name.

  • The Turkish Capital Markets Association (TSPB) member register lists Meksa Yatirim Menkul Degerler A.S. as an authorized brokerage. This is primary-source proof of regulation.
  • The Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) carries the company as a real, disclosed capital-markets institution, with its Istanbul head office and an independent auditor.
  • Public records show it holds an SPK broadly-authorized brokerage licence (Geniz Yetkili Araci Kurum), tied to a Capital Markets Board authorization dated 30 November 2015, and that it has traded on Borsa Istanbul since 1990.
  • The scam reports online sit under a different operation, 'Meksa Investment', on recently-registered, low-trust domains (meksainvest.com, meksainvestment.com, meksaglobal.com) that are not connected to the licensed firm. We did not count those complaints against MEKSA.

Note on operating history: the 36.1-year track record rests on company incorporation alone. No domain registration date could be established, so this is an upper bound rather than a confirmed age.

Risk-profile adjustment: the evidence-based score was 20%. It is presented as 65% because no reviews of any kind across 3 platforms, which our policy treats as elevated risk regardless of how little was found against this broker.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

Here is the case for caution, and why it does not change the verdict.

  • Our own database labelled this broker 'noRegulation' and listed meksainvest.com as its main site. That looks bad, but the label is simply wrong and the domain is the clone's, not the licensed firm's.
  • There are real fraud complaints tied to the MEKSA name: withdrawals refused, a promised 50 percent deposit bonus never paid. Every one of those traces to the 'Meksa Investment' clone, which has no SPK licence. The licensed firm itself has publicly warned about these fakes and referred them to the authorities.
  • The licensed firm's own site sits behind a strong security layer that limits automated access. That is normal for a Turkish financial institution and is not evasion. We confirmed everything through the SPK, TSPB and KAP registers instead.
  • The SPK licence is a national Turkish authorization, not an EU or UK tier-one forex licence, so an overseas client has less familiar recourse. For its home market it is a full, in-force brokerage authorization.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

We would revisit this verdict if any of the following appeared.

  • The Capital Markets Board (SPK) publishing an enforcement action, suspension or licence cancellation against Meksa Yatirim Menkul Degerler A.S.
  • A credible, specific pattern of withdrawal refusals tied to the licensed firm's own domain (meksa.com.tr) and its SPK-registered entity, rather than to the impersonation clones.
  • Evidence that the licensed firm itself operates or endorses the meksainvest / meksaglobal sites.
  • The TSPB or KAP register no longer showing the firm as an authorized member.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

12 questions
Is MEKSA a scam?

No. MEKSA (Meksa Yatirim Menkul Degerler A.S.) is a genuine Turkish brokerage licensed by the Capital Markets Board of Turkey and trading on Borsa Istanbul since 1990. The scam reports you may see online come from a separate operation that impersonates its name.

Is MEKSA regulated?

Yes. It holds a broadly-authorized brokerage licence from the Capital Markets Board of Turkey (SPK) and is a member of the Turkish Capital Markets Association (TSPB). You can confirm this on the TSPB and SPK registers.

What is the difference between Meksa Yatirim and 'Meksa Investment'?

Meksa Yatirim (meksa.com.tr) is the real, licensed firm. 'Meksa Investment' on sites like meksainvest.com, meksainvestment.com and meksaglobal.com is an unlicensed clone that copies the name to defraud people. They are not the same company.

Why did complaints say people could not withdraw their money?

Those complaints are about the 'Meksa Investment' clone, not the licensed brokerage. The clone takes deposits and then refuses withdrawals or demands extra payments. The licensed firm has publicly warned about these fakes.

Is my money safe with the licensed MEKSA?

Client assets at an SPK-licensed brokerage are subject to Turkey's capital-markets rules and investor-protection framework. As with any broker, use only the official site and verify the entity on the regulator's register first.

Who owns MEKSA?

The operating entity is Meksa Yatirim Menkul Degerler A.S., a Turkish joint-stock company established in 1990, headquartered in Kavacik, Beykoz, Istanbul, and disclosed publicly on the KAP platform.

How old is MEKSA?

The company was established on 28 June 1990 as Meksa Menkul Degerler Ticareti A.S. and took its current name in 1998. That is more than three decades of operating history.

What is the SPK licence and is it strong?

The SPK (Sermaye Piyasasi Kurulu) is Turkey's statutory securities regulator. A broadly-authorized brokerage licence is a full national authorization to provide investment services. It is a legitimate onshore licence, though it is a Turkish authorization rather than an EU or UK one.

Is meksainvest.com the official website?

No. meksainvest.com is part of the impersonation cluster and no longer resolves. The licensed firm's official site is meksa.com.tr. Our old record listing meksainvest.com as the main site is incorrect and is being flagged for correction.

Is MEKSA a clone of another broker?

No. MEKSA is the original, licensed firm. It is the one being copied. The clones are the 'Meksa Investment' sites that borrow its name.

What should I do if I was scammed by 'Meksa Investment'?

Stop sending money, especially any fee or 'tax' to release a withdrawal. Keep records of transfers and messages, and report it to the Turkish authorities and your bank or card provider. Do not pay recovery agents who ask for upfront fees.

What should I check before depositing with any 'MEKSA' site?

Confirm the exact domain is meksa.com.tr, verify the entity on the SPK and TSPB registers, and be wary of any promise of high or guaranteed returns, bonuses to lock in funds, or account managers contacting you on messaging apps.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

Deal only with the licensed firm, and treat the lookalikes as fraud.

  • Use only meksa.com.tr. Do not trust meksainvest.com, meksainvestment.com, meksaglobal.com or any 'Meksa Investment' page promising high or guaranteed returns.
  • Confirm the firm yourself on the SPK and TSPB registers before depositing.
  • If you were contacted by a 'Meksa Investment' account manager, or paid a fee or 'tax' to unlock a withdrawal, stop paying and report it. That is the advance-fee pattern of the clone.
  • Our internal record should be corrected: set status to regulated and replace the meksainvest.com main-site field with meksa.com.tr.
