Contracting entity: RHC Investments

Metadoro is the brand of RHC Investments, a Mauritius company. Its investment account page promises no deposit or withdrawal fees, while clause 7.8 charges 0.5% on withdrawals unless you trade 3 standard lots for every $1,000 you deposit. You get three business days to claim about a trade, and claims sent by email are not considered. Profit made while the market moves fast is defined as illicit, and Metadoro can take it off your balance.

What the documents say

21 clauses worth knowing about, worst first, each quoted from Metadoro's own files

01

Metadoro's support page offers local bank deposits in Indonesia, in Indonesian rupiah. Its own KYC/AML Policy puts Indonesia on the list of countries it does not accept clients from.

Why this matters

You can fund the account through a route Metadoro advertises. The policy governing that account says it should not have taken you on. Clause 5.2 lets Metadoro drop a client with or without a reason.

Exhibit 1Critical

The Company does not accept Clients from the following jurisdictions: Mauritius, United States of America, Afghanistan, American Samoa, Anguilla, Dominica, Fiji, Guam, Palau, Panama, Trinidad and Tobago, Virgin Islands (U.S.), Vanuatu, Central African Republic, Congo (Democratic Republic of the), North Korea, Ukraine, Iran, Iraq, Indonesia, Libya, Mali, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen, State of Palestine.

02

Metadoro defines illicit profit as profit you make during an Event of Default or during what it calls Abnormal Market Conditions: low liquidity, rapid price movements or price gaps. Clause 18.3(e) then lets it adjust your balance to remove that profit.

Why this matters

Trade a news spike or a gap and the profit can be taken back off your account. Clause 18.1(i) makes trading in those conditions a default by itself, and the ten day cure notice in clause 18.2 does not reach it.

Exhibit 2CriticalRarely seen

“Illicit Profit” shall mean profit which has been generated as a result of an Event of Default and/or during Abnormal Market Conditions.
Clause 2.1 in Client Agreement Regular Account, p.6
Read from the broker's site on Open the reference

Our readingMost agreements void profit from a defined abuse, such as latency arbitrage or trading on an error price. Defining profit earned while the market is simply moving fast as illicit turns ordinary volatility into grounds for a balance adjustment, and the company alone judges when conditions were abnormal.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 10Metadoro decides the market was abnormal, and the contract bars you from citing any outside price feed to argue it was not.
03

Clause 7.1.1 of the Regulations for Trading Operations gives you three business days from the moment a problem arises to bring a trading claim. Clause 7.1.2 says claims made by email, phone or fax are not considered at all.

Why this matters

Three business days run from the event, not from the day you notice it. The Complaints Handling Policy tells you to complain by email, which is the one route the trading rules throw out.

Exhibit 3CriticalHarder than usual3 working days

The Trader's or Investor's claims shall be received within 3 (three) business days upon occurrence of the grounds for such claims.
Clause 7.1.1 in Regulations for Trading Operations, p.13
Read from the broker's site on Open the reference
Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA or CySEC must accept a complaint however a retail client sends it, and give months rather than days to raise one. Metadoro allows three business days and only through a form in the client portal.

Metadoro is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 6The window shuts in three business days, and the company you are complaining about is the one that decides the outcome.
04

Metadoro's investment account page tells you there are no deposit or withdrawal fees. Clause 7.8 of the Client Agreement charges you 0.5% on every withdrawal unless you trade 3 standard lots for each $1,000 you put in.

Why this matters

Take out $10,000 without hitting that volume and you pay $50. The page that sold you the account denies the fee exists, and no separate agreement for that account type is published.

Exhibit 4WarningHarder than usual0.5%

To ensure the sustainability of our transactional infrastructure, the Company applies a 0.5% withdrawal fee on all fund withdrawals if the Client's total trading volume does not meet the minimum required threshold.
Clause 7.8 in Client Agreement Regular Account, p.13
Read from the broker's site on Open the reference

What it costsA $10,000 deposit needs 30 standard lots, 3,000,000 USD of notional volume, before a withdrawal is free. Below that, taking the $10,000 out costs $50.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA or CySEC must give a retail client the costs and charges of a service before they trade. Metadoro's investment account page says there are no withdrawal fees while its Client Agreement charges 0.5%.

Metadoro is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 8A client who deposits and never trades fails both tests at once, so the 0.5% fee and the 3% charge can land on the same withdrawal.
05

Six months in a row without a trade makes your Metadoro account dormant. Clause 21.11 then lets the company charge a handling fee of EUR 20 a month, and close the account once the balance reaches zero.

Why this matters

A small balance you leave alone is eaten at EUR 20 a month until nothing is left. An inactive account can also be moved to an archive where your access is blocked, and getting it back takes up to seven business days.

Exhibit 5WarningHarder than usual$20

The Company, under the terms and conditions of this Agreement and in accordance with its internal policies and procedures, reserves the right in its absolute discretion, to impose on any dormant and/or inactive account a handling fee of EUR 20 or equivalent in other currencies per month and/or close the trading account upon and/or after the period of six (6) consecutive months of inactivity in the following cases:

Metadoro can remove profit it calls illicit

The Metadoro Client Agreement defines illicit profit as profit made during a default or during Abnormal Market Conditions, which it describes as low liquidity, fast prices or gaps. Clause 18.3(e) lets it adjust your balance to take that profit back. Clause 23.9 adds a penalty equal to any profit on the account wherever it suspects swap arbitrage.

Profit at risk2 clauses flagged

Where Metadoro suspects fraud, manipulation or swap arbitrage, clause 23.9 lets it close your positions and take a penalty equal to the swap or any profit amount, for every trade made on the account. Suspicion is the trigger; no finding is needed.

Why this matters

The clause reaches trades that closed months ago, so a run of profit can be reversed in one action. Clause 6.16 adds that Metadoro alone decides what it deems inappropriately gained.

Exhibit 7CriticalHarder than usual

In the event where the Company suspects any fraud, manipulation, swap-arbitrage or other forms of deceitful or fraudulent activity in a Client's Trading Account or Accounts with the Company or otherwise related or connected to any and/or all Transactions, then the Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to close all open positions in the Client's Trading Account and deduct or add a penalty (equivalent to the swap and/or any profit amount) for all transactions currently and/or previously made in the account and/or annul all profits made as a result and decline from accepting any further requests from the Client to be exempted from any swaps and/or terminate all agreements with the Client.

Read from the broker's site on Open the reference
  • Worse together with Exhibit 2One clause removes profit the company labels illicit, the other adds a penalty of the same size across the whole account history.

The Client Agreement reserves tools it calls RHC Logistical Instruments, which act as a correcteur on the liquidity and equity of client trading accounts. Clause 6.11 names three of them: correctgbp, stlmnteur and stlmntgbp.

Why this matters

The contract never says what one of these does to your balance, or whether you would be told. It describes them as protecting investments, and leaves Metadoro to decide when one is required.

Exhibit 11WarningRarely seen

“RHC Logistical Instruments” shall mean instruments that shall act as correcteur to be used whenever required in order to prevent any major/rapid marked movements on any live market quoting assets/instruments that may cause a significant fluctuation with the liquidity/equity on any of the client's trading account(s).
Clause 2.1 in Client Agreement Regular Account, p.8
Read from the broker's site on Open the reference

Our readingA retail agreement that reserves named internal instruments to act on the equity of a client account is unusual. The normal tool for a pricing error is a defined correction clause with a stated trigger, not an instrument the firm can apply to your account whenever it judges it necessary.

Three business days to claim, and only through one form

Clause 7.1.1 of Metadoro's trading regulations gives you three business days from the event to bring a claim. Clause 7.1.2 throws out claims sent by email, phone or fax, which is the route the Complaints Handling Policy tells you to use. Metadoro then decides the outcome itself, and no body outside the company is named anywhere.

Complaint window2 clauses flagged

The trading regulations let Metadoro choose how a dispute ends, including taking money off your trading account as a compensation adjustment. Where the rules do not cover a dispute, clause 7.7 says Metadoro decides on its own idea of a fair settlement.

Why this matters

No body outside the company appears anywhere in the Complaints Handling Policy, so the firm you are complaining about is the one that rules on it. Clause 7.13 also lets Metadoro settle a dispute and never tell you that it did.

Exhibit 6CriticalHarder than usual

Clause 7.5.1 in Regulations for Trading Operations, p.14

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA or CySEC must tell a retail client how to take an unresolved complaint to an independent ombudsman. Metadoro's Complaints Handling Policy names no body outside the company.

Metadoro is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 10Metadoro decides the outcome, and the only evidence the contract admits is the record kept on its own server.

Pointing at another price source is unauthorised under clause 3.1 of the trading regulations, and clause 25.5 of the Client Agreement says such references are not taken into account in a dispute. Metadoro alone decides a quote was wrong, and trades at it are annulled.

Why this matters

To show a fill was wrong you would need an outside price, and the contract rules one out. Your own history can be archived to a single summarised line after a month, though you can still ask for it.

Exhibit 10WarningHarder than usual

Any of the Client's references to the quotes of other trading and information systems shall be unauthorized.

Metadoro advertises deposits in a country it will not take clients from

Metadoro's support page offers local bank deposits in Indonesia, in rupiah. Its KYC/AML Policy lists Indonesia among the countries it does not accept clients from. The same company sells in ten languages, while clause 21.10 says nothing outside English binds it or carries any legal effect.

Promise versus contract1 clause flagged

Metadoro sells in Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Malay, Hindi, Tamil and Thai. Clause 21.10 says anything in a language other than English does not bind the company and has no legal effect whatsoever.

Why this matters

The Chinese page tells you your money sits in separate accounts. Under clause 21.10 that promise carries no weight, and Metadoro takes no responsibility for whether the translation is even correct.

Exhibit 12WarningHarder than usual

Translation or information provided in languages other than English in the Company's local websites is for informational purposes only and do not bind the Company or have any legal effect whatsoever, the Company having no responsibility or liability regarding the correctness of the information therein.

A 0.5% withdrawal fee the product page says does not exist

Clause 7.8 of the Metadoro Client Agreement charges 0.5% on every withdrawal unless you trade 3 standard lots for each $1,000 you deposit. The investment account page promises no deposit or withdrawal fees at all. The trading regulations then say the website's published prices lose to whatever the server is set to.

Cost disclosure1 clause flagged

Clause 2.5 of the trading regulations says the conditions held on Metadoro's servers take precedence over anything published on its websites. Clause 3.6 adds that spread information on the site is purely informative.

Why this matters

The 0.1 spread and the $4 per lot commission you compared before signing up are not promises. What the server holds on the day is what you pay, and clause 3.31 says your fee is whatever the server is set to.

Exhibit 9WarningHarder than usual

Information regarding trading conditions, defined on an appropriate account type, shall take precedence in case of conflict with other information published on the Company's websites.

Taking your money out untraded carries a 3% charge

Clause 7.7 lets Metadoro take 3% of a withdrawal, or the deposit costs it absorbed, when you withdraw without trading since your last deposit. The same clause fires on any other form of abuse, which the contract never defines. The fee schedule itself lives behind the client portal login.

Exit conditions1 clause flagged

Ask for your money back without trading since your last deposit and clause 7.7 lets Metadoro take 3% of the withdrawal, or the deposit fees it absorbed. The same clause fires on any other form of abuse, a phrase the contract never defines.

Why this matters

A $5,000 deposit you decide not to trade costs you $150 to take back. Metadoro decides what counts as abuse, and the clause gives you nothing to argue against.

Exhibit 8WarningHarder than usual3%

In case the Client performs a withdrawal request without any trading activity from the last deposit made or if any other form of abuse is found, the Company reserves the right to: (a) charge the Client the equivalent amount of any deposit fees incurred, or (b) 3% of the total withdrawal amount.

Bonus terms come from an account manager, not from the website

Metadoro says promotions run from time to time and points you to your account manager for them. No bonus terms are published. Clause 27.1(d) says any indication or suspicion of bonus or swap arbitrage nullifies every transaction and all profit made under the scheme.

Promotions1 clause flagged

Metadoro says promotions run from time to time and tells you to ask your account manager about them. No bonus terms are published anywhere on the legal page. Clause 27.1(d) says any suspicion of bonus or swap arbitrage nullifies every transaction and all profit made under the scheme.

Why this matters

You would be accepting terms that are not on the website, and keeping your profit only while Metadoro has no suspicion. Clause 27.1(c) lets it cancel the whole scheme at any time without notice, and it owes you nothing for a stop out that follows.

Exhibit 20WarningHarder than usual

Any indication or suspicion of fraud, manipulation, cash-back or bonus or swap arbitrage, or other forms of deceitful or fraudulent activity in the Client's account or multiple accounts with the Company or otherwise related or connected to the Trading Benefit Scheme shall nullify any and all transactions executed and/or profits or losses garnered therein.

Metadoro can change the terms, the margin and your balance without asking

Clause 13.1 of the Metadoro Client Agreement says amendments need the consent of all parties, while three other clauses let the company change terms by publishing them. New margin requirements can be applied to positions you already hold. If the account goes negative you owe the difference within 2 working days.

Changing the terms2 clauses flagged

Clause 13.1 says the agreement can only be amended with the consent of all parties. The definition of Legal Documents, clause 19.1(g) and clause 8.1 of the trading regulations all let Metadoro change your terms by publishing them.

Why this matters

You cannot tell from the contract whether Metadoro needs your agreement to change it. A notice posted on the website counts as served on you one hour later.

Exhibit 18WarningHarder than usual

This Agreement may only be amended in writing and with the consent of all parties to it.
Clause 13.1 in Client Agreement Regular Account, p.15
Read from the broker's site on Open the reference

If you owe Metadoro more than the equity on your account, clause 8.3 gives you 2 working days to pay the difference. Metadoro may also change leverage and margin on positions you already hold.

In plain words

Negative balance protection is a limit that stops you owing more than you put in. Without it, one fast market move can leave you owing the broker money on top of your deposit.

Why this matters

A gap that takes your account below zero becomes a debt you owe, not a loss the firm absorbs. Clause 6.4 says Metadoro has no duty to make a margin call first, though the trading rules do let it zero a negative balance, using money on your other accounts.

Exhibit 19WarningStandard wording2 working days

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus), ESMA (EU)

Firms licensed by the FCA, CySEC or under ESMA rules must give retail clients negative balance protection, so a client can never owe more than their account holds. Metadoro's agreement requires you to pay the excess within 2 working days.

Metadoro is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

Fourteen days to verify, and your money waits until Metadoro is satisfied

You can fund and trade a Metadoro account before verification, up to 500,000 Mauritius Rupees. Miss the 14 day deadline and the account closes. Money that cannot be sent back to its source is held until you verify to the company's satisfaction.

Verification and data2 clauses flagged

You can trade before verification, with deposits capped at 500,000 Mauritius Rupees. You then have 14 days from opening the account to finish KYC, or Metadoro returns the funds and closes it.

Why this matters

If the money cannot go back to where it came from, the policy holds it until you verify to the company's satisfaction. No deadline runs against Metadoro in that sentence.

The privacy policy you accept says Metadoro may collect your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, sexual orientation and criminal convictions. It describes insurance claims, reinsurance and a rewards card, and says it was last updated in October 2019.

Metadoro is the other side of your trade, and its conflicts policy never says so

The Metadoro Client Agreement says the company deals with you principal to principal and executes orders on its own account. Its Conflicts of Interest Policy lists making a gain at the client's expense as the first conflict it looks for, then never mentions the dealing model. That policy also promises to disclose any conflict before it acts for you.

Whose side1 clause flagged

Metadoro is the other side of your trade. The Client Agreement says it deals with you principal to principal and executes orders on its own account, so your loss is its gain. The Conflicts of Interest Policy never says this.

In plain words

On a principal basis, as your counterparty, means the broker takes the other side of your trade itself. Your loss is then the firm’s gain, so it has an interest in how your trade ends.

Why this matters

That policy lists making a gain at the client's expense as the first conflict it looks for, and promises to disclose any conflict before it acts for you. The conflict built into every trade you place is not disclosed there.

Segregation is promised on the website and nowhere in the contract

Metadoro's about page says all client funds sit in segregated accounts, separate from company money. No document in the legal set repeats it, and the risk statement describes non-segregated funds being used in the company's business, with you ranking as a general creditor. The contract also incorporates a Terms of Business that Metadoro does not publish.

Who holds your money2 clauses flagged

Metadoro's about page says all client funds sit in segregated accounts, kept apart from company money. No document in the legal set repeats that promise, and the risk statement describes non-segregated money being used in the company's business.

Why this matters

If money of yours is not segregated, you join the queue as an ordinary creditor should RHC Investments fail. The promise that it is segregated sits on a marketing page, which is not part of what you sign.

Exhibit 16WarningHarder than usual

Non-segregated Funds will not be subject to the protections conferred by Applicable Regulations. Non-segregated Funds will not be segregated from the Company's money and will be used in the course of the Company's business, and in the event of the Company's insolvency you will rank as a general creditor.

The Client Agreement makes a Terms of Business part of your contract and sends you to a Client Documents Pack section of the website. Neither exists. Clause 6.3 also relies on an Order Execution Policy that Metadoro does not publish.

Why this matters

Where this agreement does not define a word, it says the Terms of Business does, and that document is not on the legal page. The Regulations for Trading Operations may be doing that job, but nothing says so.

If the Client is an individual, the Company is obliged, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2017, to supply the Client, on request, with a copy of personal data which it holds about the Client (if any), provided that the Client pays a fee.

The documents this reading is based on

14 files, all published by Metadoro. Each shows when we read it and a fingerprint of its wording.

WIKILIX keeps the copy of each file it read, and does not republish it: what is published is the fingerprint of its wording. Download the file yourself and hash its text, lowercased with runs of whitespace collapsed, and a matching fingerprint means the wording quoted above is still the wording Metadoro publishes.

Who the contract is with

RHC Investments

You contract with RHC Investments, a company registered in Mauritius under No. 138336 C1/GBL, at 3 Emerald Park, Trianon, Quatres Bornes. Metadoro is its brand and business name, not a separate company. The Client Agreement says the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius regulates it as a Full Service Dealer under licence C115015381. The footer on every metadoro.com page instead names a Financial Services Authority under the same licence number. One client agreement is published, for the Regular Account, while the site also sells an Investment Account.

Quotations are copied verbatim from the documents named above, with the clause number and the page each one came from. Where a clause is quoted in another language, the original is shown first and the English is a translation.

The plain-language parts, what a clause means for a client, how ordinary it is, and how it reads against a regulated standard, are WIKILIX's analysis and are labelled as such on every card. This is a reading of public documents, not legal advice and not an allegation of wrongdoing.

In fairness, and what we could not check

A reader who knows the edges of the work can trust the middle of it

The support page names the 0.5% withdrawal fee and points you to the clause it comes from, which most brokers never do. Clause 5.4 gives you the right to withdraw your balance on demand, and clause 9.4 says a request is normally processed within one working day. The site states plainly that Mauritius sits outside the European framework and outside MiFID II, instead of implying European cover. Every legal file is public, downloadable and dated in its own file name, so you can see when each one last changed.

We read the Client Agreement, the KYC/AML Policy, the Risk Acknowledgement, the Data Privacy Policy, the Complaints Handling Policy, the Conflicts of Interest Policy and the Regulations for Trading Operations from start to finish. We did not read the Data Controller Certificate, which holds almost no text. Two entries in the document list are the portal login and sign up screens rather than legal documents, and we did not treat them as terms. The only earlier copy available for comparison is the Data Controller Certificate, and it is unchanged. No earlier version of the Client Agreement or the policies exists to compare, so this is a first reading of them. We checked the Chinese pages against the English contract; we did not check the Spanish, Italian, Malay, Hindi, Tamil or Thai ones.

How to check any of this yourself

Every quote above links to the Metadoro file it came from. This is what to do with it.

Open the three stepsFind the words in the source, work out the fingerprint, and read what a difference does and does not prove.

Open the source and search for the words

Every quote has a link under it. Open the file, or the web page, and search it for the words we quote. The clause number next to the quote tells you where to look.

If the words are not there any more, the source may have changed after we read it. That is worth knowing too. We keep the date we read it, and a code worked out from its wording, so the quote stays checkable.

What a fingerprint is

A fingerprint is a code worked out from what a source says. Change one word and the code changes completely. We keep two codes for every file we read, and the panel on each source shows both.

The first is the code of the exact file we downloaded. The second is the code of its wording alone, with capital letters lowered and runs of spaces collapsed. When the same words are saved as a new file, the first code changes and the second one stays the same.

Only the first code can be worked out on your own computer. Save the file, then run one of these, putting the name of the file you saved where the example is. The panel on each source prints the command with that source's real file name already in it.

macOS or Linux:
  shasum -a 256 the-file-you-saved.pdf

Windows:
  certutil -hashfile the-file-you-saved.pdf SHA256

The two codes are different from each other, and they are not meant to match. Comparing one against the other proves nothing.

What a difference means, and what it does not

A different file code on its own proves nothing. A PDF saved again with a new date inside it is a new file saying exactly the same thing.

A different wording code means the words themselves changed. That is the one that matters, and it is why we keep it.

Even then, a change is not proof of bad faith. Companies update their documents. What this report says is what the document said on the day we read it, and every quote carries that date.

A source that is a web page and not a file has no file to save, so only the code of its wording is shown.

How this report is made

Every clause quoted above comes from a document Metadoro publishes on its own website, downloaded and hashed on the date shown, with the clause number and page recorded so any reader can check it. We do not allege anything the documents do not say, and we do not judge Metadoro on anything other than its own published terms and its own public marketing. Where a clause has a qualifier that softens it, the report says so. Last read Oct 7, 2026.

If you represent Metadoro and a clause has changed, been withdrawn, or is being read out of context, tell us and we will re-read the documents and update this page. Corrections from the broker are welcome and are published with the reading they change. Contact us.

This is a reading of a contract, not legal advice and not a ruling on Metadoro. Whether its licence is real and current is a separate check on the broker profile.
