Is Millennium a scam?

Likely scamMEDIUM confidence
Updated August 15, 2026
Unlicensed broker with a false regulation claim

FX Millennium (fxmillennium.com) looks like a scam: it is an unlicensed broker that called itself a 'fully regulated broker' while holding no licence anywhere, and its website has now gone dark.

  • It is run by Millennium Prime Technologies Ltd, a company said to be registered in Mauritius, trading as FX Millennium.
  • The site repeatedly claimed to be 'fully regulated' but never named a regulator or a licence number, and the company is absent from the Mauritius FSC register.
  • It took real deposits from about 250 dollars through MetaTrader 5, yet today the address shows only a blank 'coming soon' placeholder.
  • Reviewers report blocked withdrawals and support going silent after a deposit, although some of that noise belongs to other, similarly named brokers.
  • We found no official regulator warning naming this exact website, so we rate it likely rather than confirmed.

Risk scorecard

Each area is scored 0 (clean) to 10 (worst). Higher means more risk.

Worst area: Critical
SeverityLowModerateHighCritical

Regulation

9/10 · Critical

No licence on any register while taking deposits, plus a fabricated 'fully regulated' claim; absent from the Mauritius FSC register.

Identity & transparency

7/10 · High

Names an entity and a Mauritius company number, but gives no verifiable address, an inconsistent entity name, and the site now hides everything behind a placeholder.

Withdrawals & conduct

5/10 · Moderate

Fund-integrity themes (blocked withdrawals, silence after deposit) are reported but thin and partly conflated with similarly named brokers, so the pattern is unconfirmed for this domain.

Reputation

6/10 · High

Independent reviews and a broker directory flag it as unregulated and high risk, but there is no overwhelming confirmed multi-platform theft record tied to this exact site.

Website claims

8/10 · Critical

Falsely advertised 'Fully regulated broker' and 'segregated and supervised client funds' with no regulator, number, or evidence.

Operational history

5/10 · Moderate

About four years of operation from 2021, an upper bound because the company could not be dated, and the site has now gone dark.

Who they are

A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.

  • Brand: FX Millennium
  • Legal entity: Millennium Prime Technologies Ltd (the footer also misspells it as 'LLc')
  • Registered: Republic of Mauritius, company registration number 189348 (a company registration, not a financial licence)
  • Website: fxmillennium.com, with a client area at my.fxmillennium.com (now a parked placeholder)
  • Only licence: none; the site claimed to be 'fully regulated' but named no regulator
  • Offers: forex, stocks, indices, metals, energies, cryptos and commodities on MetaTrader 5 and a web trader, from about 250 dollars, leverage up to 1:500
  • Not accepted: USA, Belgium, Iran, Canada and North Korea
  • Age claim: the operation dates to about 2021; there is no clear, evidenced founding year on the site
The FX Millennium website today shows only a default 'coming soon' placeholder, with no broker content.

Regulation

Who really oversees this broker, and what each licence is worth to you.

No proof found

Proof of regulation on an official register: No

We could not confirm this broker on any genuine regulator’s register.

Licences the broker publishes

None named (site states 'Fully regulated broker')

UnverifiedNot a forex licence
The site repeatedly described itself as a fully regulated broker but named no regulator and no licence number. No licence exists on the Mauritius FSC register, its home jurisdiction, or on any other register we checked.
Protection: None; client funds are not protected by any compensation scheme

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

We reached a likely scam verdict for a few plain reasons.

  • It claimed regulation it does not have. The live site repeatedly said 'Fully regulated broker' and 'segregated and supervised client funds', but it never named a single regulator or licence number. That is a red flag on its own.
  • There is no licence anywhere. We searched the Mauritius Financial Services Commission register, the correct register for its home country. The only match is an unrelated firm, Millennium Capital Management (Mauritius) Ltd. Millennium Prime Technologies Ltd is not there, and we found no licence in any other jurisdiction.
  • It took real money and then disappeared. The site ran a full MetaTrader 5 deposit operation with a 250 dollar minimum for years, and now shows only a blank 'coming soon' page. A broker that holds client funds and then goes dark is a serious warning sign.
  • Users report they could not get paid. Reviews describe blocked withdrawals and support going silent after a deposit. We treat this as supporting colour, not proof, because some of it is mixed up with other brokers that share the name.
  • What we did not find. We could not find any official regulator warning that names this exact website, and we could not confirm a detailed, repeatable pattern of theft tied to this domain. That is why the verdict is likely, not confirmed.

Note on operating history: the 4.9-year track record rests on domain registration alone. No company incorporation date could be established, so this is an upper bound rather than a confirmed age.

  • E1The broker's own address fxmillennium.com now returns only a default 'coming soon' placeholder ('Future home of something quite cool'), so the operating site is offline.

  • E2Domain registration for fxmillennium.com shows a creation date of 08 September 2021 via GoDaddy, a re-registration after the name had previously dropped; this sets the operation's age at about four years.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

In fairness, here is the case for the broker.

  • It does name a real-sounding legal entity and a Mauritius company number rather than hiding behind nothing, and it published a list of restricted countries.
  • The operation ran for roughly four years, which is longer than a throwaway scam site usually lasts.
  • Several harsh warnings that appear in searches, including an FCA warning and Spanish and Russian alerts, actually target different websites (mlnfx.com and millennium-fx.com) run by other companies. We did not hold those against this broker.
  • The withdrawal complaints we saw are thin for this exact website and are partly confused with the similarly named brokers, so we did not treat them as a proven theft pattern.

None of this changes the core problem: a broker that takes deposits must be licensed, and this one advertised regulation it never had.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

Our view would change if solid new facts appeared.

  • Toward safer: a genuine, in-force trading licence for Millennium Prime Technologies Ltd on a real regulator register (for example a Mauritius FSC Investment Dealer licence) whose recorded website is fxmillennium.com.
  • Toward safer: the site coming back with clear, verifiable licence details and evidence that clients were paid in full.
  • Toward worse (confirmed scam): an official regulator warning that names fxmillennium.com or Millennium Prime Technologies Ltd, or several detailed, dated withdrawal-theft reports tied specifically to this website and its client area.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

12 questions
Is FX Millennium a scam?

We rate FX Millennium a likely scam. It advertised itself as a fully regulated broker while holding no licence anywhere, took real deposits, and its website has now gone dark. Users also report blocked withdrawals.

Is FX Millennium regulated?

No. The site claimed to be a 'fully regulated broker' but named no regulator and no licence number. We searched the Mauritius Financial Services Commission register and it is not there, and we found no licence in any other country.

Can I get my money back from FX Millennium?

There is no guarantee. Because it is unlicensed, there is no compensation scheme protecting your funds. Try a formal written withdrawal request, then ask your bank about a chargeback or recall and report the case to your regulator and police.

Is my money safe with FX Millennium?

No. An unlicensed broker holds your funds with no independent oversight and no client-money protection. The operating website has also gone offline, which puts any remaining balances at serious risk.

Who owns FX Millennium?

The site is run under the name Millennium Prime Technologies Ltd, said to be registered in Mauritius with company number 189348. That is a company registration, not a financial trading licence.

How old is FX Millennium?

The current operation dates to around 2021, when the domain was registered in its present form. It ran for roughly four years before the site went dark. We could not verify any earlier founding claim.

Is FX Millennium the same as Millennium FX or MLN FX?

No. Millennium FX (millennium-fx.com, Saint Vincent) and MLN FX (mlnfx.com, run by South Beach Technologies in the Marshall Islands) are different operations that share a similar name. Regulator warnings about those do not apply to fxmillennium.com.

What does the Mauritius registration actually mean?

Registering a company in Mauritius simply creates a legal entity. It is not the same as holding a Mauritius FSC Investment Dealer licence, which is what a broker needs to legally take trading deposits. FX Millennium does not hold that licence.

Does FX Millennium have a MetaTrader platform?

The site advertised MetaTrader 5 and a web trader, with accounts from about 250 dollars and leverage up to 1:500. A trading platform existing does not make a broker regulated or safe.

Why is the FX Millennium website not working?

As of our check the address fxmillennium.com shows only a blank 'coming soon' placeholder. The full broker site is offline, which usually means the operation has closed, moved, or abandoned its clients.

Are the withdrawal complaints about FX Millennium real?

Reviewers report blocked withdrawals and support going quiet after deposits. We treat these as supporting evidence rather than proof, because some complaints are mixed up with the similarly named brokers listed above.

What should I check before depositing with any broker?

Confirm the exact licence number on the regulator's own register, check that the register lists the same website you are using, look for independent reviews tied to that exact domain, and avoid brokers that claim regulation without naming a regulator.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

Treat FX Millennium as unsafe until proven otherwise.

  • Do not deposit money with fxmillennium.com or send funds to anyone using the FX Millennium name.
  • If you already deposited, stop sending more money, especially any 'tax', 'fee' or 'unlock' payment asked for before a withdrawal, and gather your records now.
  • Request a withdrawal in writing and keep screenshots of every message, ticket and transaction.
  • If you paid by card or bank transfer, ask your bank about a chargeback or recall, and report the case to your national financial regulator and police.
  • Be wary of anyone who contacts you offering to recover your funds for an upfront fee; that is a common follow-up scam.
