nextmarkets was a European neobroker built around a proprietary web and mobile trading platform rather than the usual MetaTrader stack. The retail service was operated by NEXTMARKETS TRADING LTD., a private limited liability company registered in Malta under company number C 77603 at Centris Business Gateway, Level 4/W, Triq is-Salib Tal-Imriehel, CBD 3020, Birkirkara. The group sat under a German parent, nextmarkets AG, registered at the Cologne commercial register under HRB 104025 and based at Gertrudenstrasse 30-36 in Cologne. An earlier group company, nextmarkets GmbH (HRB 80770), was merged into the AG in December 2020.

The service is no longer operating. This is the single most important thing to know about the brand. The German parent is recorded as inactive following liquidation, with its Legal Entity Identifier retired in August 2026, and the Malta entity's own Legal Entity Identifier lapsed in October 2025 without renewal. The domain the company traded under no longer resolves to any nextmarkets service; requesting it now redirects to unrelated third-party sites that have nothing to do with financial services. Anyone who reaches a page carrying this brand today should assume it is not the original firm.

What the offering was. The platform combined currency pairs, cryptocurrencies, several thousand shares and a large range of exchange-traded funds in a single account, with a distinctive coaching feature in which in-house analysts published trade ideas clients could follow. Pricing was commission-free, with the broker's revenue taken in the spread and EUR/USD quoted from around 0.6 pips. Leverage was capped at 1:30, consistent with the European retail limits, and the minimum funding amount was 500 EUR, which was high relative to most retail competitors. Deposits from business accounts and from payment services that could not be clearly attributed to the account holder were not accepted.

Regulation. The Malta entity was presented as authorised by the Malta Financial Services Authority under an investment services licence tied to its company number. WIKILIX could not confirm the current standing of that authorisation: no licence certificate was available to inspect, and the firm no longer publishes a regulation page of its own because it no longer publishes a website. The Malta company registration is real and was confirmed against an authoritative record, but a company registration is not a trading licence and must not be read as one. On the evidence available, the regulatory position is unverified rather than confirmed either way.

Who this suits. Nobody, as a live trading option. The entry exists as a record of a brand that operated and has since wound down. Former clients with an outstanding balance should pursue it through the Malta entity and, if that fails, through the Maltese financial services complaints route rather than through anything now published at the old domain. Prospective traders should treat any site or approach using the nextmarkets name as unconnected to the company described here until proven otherwise.
