Is Novotrend a scam?

High risk (unverified)MEDIUM confidence
Updated August 13, 2026
Unregulated offshore broker with false credentials

Novotrend is a high-risk, unregulated offshore broker, and we could not find any evidence that your money would be protected. It holds no financial licence anywhere, yet markets itself as 'Regulated & Secure' and advertises credentials that do not stand up.

  • The only registration is a St. Vincent and the Grenadines company number (23835 IBC). That is a company registration, not a trading licence, and St. Vincent does not regulate forex brokers.
  • The site claims '12 Years of Trading Experience', but the brand is only traceable to early 2023.
  • It shows '2.8k Verified Reviews' and a 4.9 rating on its own pages, while its public Trustpilot page has just 6 reviews and a 2.5 score.
  • One client reports that after early small withdrawals worked, access was blocked once deposits grew, a classic withdrawal-trap pattern.
  • Deposits run through crypto, cash and e-wallets, with sales handled over a UK WhatsApp number and Telegram.

Risk scorecard

Each area is scored 0 (clean) to 10 (worst). Higher means more risk.

Worst area: Critical
SeverityLowModerateHighCritical

Regulation

7/10 · High

No financial licence anywhere; only a St. Vincent company registration, which is not regulation, while marketing itself as 'Regulated and Secure' and taking deposits.

Identity & transparency

6/10 · High

Names an entity, number and address, but the address is an offshore corporate-services suite, no people are named, no office is verifiable, and the registration is unconfirmed.

Withdrawals & conduct

5/10 · Moderate

One credible fund-integrity report of access being blocked after deposits grew; a real scam mechanic but a single account on one platform, so the pattern is unconfirmed.

Reputation

7/10 · High

Thin footprint, 2.5 Trustpilot score, an early-2023 cluster of generic 5-star posts from single-review accounts, and a recovery-service shill in the complaints.

Website claims

8/10 · Critical

Multiple false claims: '12 Years of Trading Experience', '2.8k Verified Reviews / 4.9', and 'Regulated and Secure' with no regulator named.

Operational history

6/10 · High

Verifiable operation since about January 2023 (roughly three and a half years); the company incorporation date could not be confirmed, so the figure is an upper bound on the domain leg.

Regulation

Who really oversees this broker, and what each licence is worth to you.

No proof found

Proof of regulation on an official register: No

We could not confirm this broker on any genuine regulator’s register.

Licences the broker publishes

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines company registration

VerifiedNot a forex licenceLimited relevance
An International Business Company registration (number 23835 IBC), which records that a company was formed. It is not a financial or trading licence, and St. Vincent does not regulate forex brokers.
Protection: None. No client-money protection, no compensation scheme and no financial supervisor.

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

We rate Novotrend high risk because it takes client deposits with no financial oversight and props that up with claims that are not true.

  • No regulation at all. The footer names only a St. Vincent company registration (23835 IBC). St. Vincent and the Grenadines does not license or supervise forex brokers, so this gives clients no protection and no place to complain. Despite this, the homepage advertises 'Regulated & Secure'.
  • The history is overstated. The site claims 12 years of experience. The earliest independent trace of the site is January 2023, with security certificates from mid 2024. Even the claimed 2017 company date would fall well short of 12 years.
  • Fabricated social proof. Novotrend displays '2.8k Verified Reviews' and a 4.9 score. Its actual Trustpilot page shows 6 reviews and a 2.5 rating, with the positive ones clustered in early 2023 and posted by single-review accounts.
  • A withdrawal-trap report. A 2025 reviewer describes small early withdrawals being allowed, then access being blocked once deposits built up. That is the standard mechanic of a fund-trap, though we found only one such account.
  • Risky money flow. Deposits are taken via crypto, cash and e-wallets, and sales are run through a UK WhatsApp line and Telegram, with no verifiable office or named people.

We stop short of calling it a confirmed scam: there is no regulator warning naming this domain, it is not impersonating another firm, and the fund-loss evidence is a single report. But the combination of zero regulation, false claims and a withdrawal complaint makes it unsafe.

Note on operating history: the 3.5-year track record rests on domain registration alone. No company incorporation date could be established, so this is an upper bound rather than a confirmed age.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

In fairness to Novotrend, here is the case for a softer view.

  • The brand is not brand new. It has a continuous web presence since early 2023, so it is not a throwaway site launched last month.
  • It discloses a named legal entity and a registration number, which some pure scams do not bother to do.
  • There are a few positive reviews describing working deposits and withdrawals, and one long-term client who reported no problems.
  • We found no warning notice from any regulator naming this exact website, and it is not pretending to be a well-known regulated firm.
  • Some negative reviews of any offshore broker are planted by rivals, so a low review score is not proof of theft on its own.

None of this offsets the core problem: there is no licence protecting client money, and the site makes claims we can show are false.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

Our view would move if the facts changed.

  • Toward safe: a genuine, verifiable licence from a real financial regulator, held by the entity that takes client funds, confirmed on that regulator's own register.
  • Toward safe: the site dropping the false '12 years' and '2.8k reviews' claims and publishing honest, checkable figures.
  • Toward scam: a regulator warning notice naming novotrend.co, or several independent, detailed reports across different platforms of blocked withdrawals or demands for extra 'fees' or 'tax' before releasing funds.
  • Toward scam: evidence that deposits are routed to personal or crypto wallets and not returned.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

12 questions
Is Novotrend a scam?

We rate it high risk rather than a confirmed scam. It is completely unregulated, advertises false credentials, and has at least one report of blocked withdrawals. We did not find a regulator warning naming it or proof of systematic theft, but there is no protection for your money.

Is Novotrend regulated?

No. Its only registration is a St. Vincent and the Grenadines company number (23835 IBC). That is a company registration, not a financial licence, and St. Vincent does not license or supervise forex brokers. The 'Regulated and Secure' wording on the site is misleading.

Can I withdraw my money from Novotrend?

Some users report withdrawals working, but one 2025 review describes access being blocked once deposits grew larger. With no regulator to appeal to, there is no guarantee you can get funds out. Test with a small amount and keep records.

Is my money safe with Novotrend?

There is no evidence it is. Without a real licence there is no client-money segregation requirement, no compensation scheme, and no supervisor. If the firm refuses to pay, you have little recourse.

Who owns Novotrend?

The site names Novotrend Ltd, registered in St. Vincent and the Grenadines at a corporate-services address. No individual owners or directors are disclosed, and we could not independently verify the company on a public register.

How old is Novotrend?

The website advertises 12 years of experience, but the brand is only traceable to early 2023, with security certificates from mid 2024. Even the claimed 2017 company date would be far short of 12 years.

What is a St. Vincent (SVG) registration worth for a broker?

Very little. It confirms only that a company was formed there. St. Vincent's authority has stated it does not regulate forex or securities dealing, so an SVG number gives clients no financial protection.

Is Novotrend a clone of another broker?

No. We found no sign that it is impersonating a known regulated firm or copying another company's licence number. It operates under its own name and offshore entity.

Why does the site show thousands of reviews and a 4.9 rating?

Those figures are self-published and do not match reality. Novotrend's public Trustpilot page shows just 6 reviews and a 2.5 score, so the on-site '2.8k Verified Reviews' and '4.9' claims appear fabricated.

How does Novotrend take deposits?

Through cryptocurrency, cash, bank transfer and e-wallets such as WebMoney and Qiwi, with a very low stated minimum. Crypto and cash rails are hard to reverse if something goes wrong.

What should I do if I was scammed by Novotrend?

Stop depositing immediately. Gather all records of transactions and messages. If you paid by card or bank, ask your bank about a chargeback or recall. Be cautious of 'recovery' services that ask for upfront fees, as many are follow-up scams.

What should I check before depositing with any broker?

Confirm a licence from a tier-1 or tier-2 regulator on that regulator's own website, check the licensed entity matches the site's domain, read independent reviews for withdrawal complaints, and avoid firms that only sell over WhatsApp or Telegram.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

Treat Novotrend as unsafe for deposits until it is properly regulated.

  • Do not deposit money you cannot afford to lose. There is no regulator or compensation scheme standing behind this broker.
  • If you already have funds there, try a small withdrawal now and keep written records of every request and response.
  • Be very wary if anyone asks for an extra payment, 'tax' or 'fee' to release your balance. That is a common trap.
  • Ignore unsolicited WhatsApp or Telegram contact urging you to add funds.
  • Prefer brokers licensed by a tier-1 or tier-2 regulator whose registration you can verify on the regulator's own website.

This is an independent assessment of risk, not a legal ruling. Scores and verdicts follow the Wikilix broker-safety methodology and can change as new evidence appears. Review scores are treated with caution when a broker’s reviews look manipulated. Last reviewed August 13, 2026.
