What Option Capital Trades legally published, but does not want you to read

Every clause below is published by Option Capital Trades itself, on its own website, today. The finding is not that the text exists. It is the distance between what a client is shown and what a client agreed to. Read from its own documents on .

Option Capital Trades Market published one legal document, a privacy policy. The terms and conditions it linked from every page cannot be read anywhere. Its homepage promised 12.5% every 24 hours, insured deposits and oversight by major financial authorities. No document supports any of that, and the domain has now expired.

What the documents say

10 clauses worth knowing about, worst first, each quoted from Option Capital Trades's own files

01

Option Capital Trades published a privacy policy and no other legal document you can read. Clause 10 of that policy says a Customer Agreement governs any dispute you bring. No document by that name was ever on the site.

Why this matters

You cannot read a fee, a withdrawal deadline, a complaint window or a court, because none of them was ever published. Its signup form asked for a username, a phone number and a password, and offered no terms to accept. If Option Capital Trades refused to pay you, you would be arguing about a contract nobody can read.

Clause 10 in Privacy Policy
Read from the broker's site on Open the reference
Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA and CySEC must give a retail client the firm's terms of business and its complaints procedure before trading starts. Option Capital Trades published a privacy policy and nothing else.

Option Capital Trades is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

Our readingNearly every retail broker publishes a client agreement, because that is the document a client is asked to accept. A privacy policy on its own leaves no written term about money at all.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 5No agreement to read, and the only place a change would be announced no longer works.
02

Option Capital Trades advertised a fixed return of 12.5% every 24 hours on every plan tier, from $59 to $26,000. Nothing it published says how that return is made, or when you could take it out.

Why this matters

You would pay in against a number on a web page, with no document promising it and no date for getting the money back. Nothing the company published obliges it to pay you that return, or to return your deposit.

What it costsA $1,000 plan pays $125 in a day at the advertised 12.5%. At that rate the plan would return the whole $1,000 in eight days.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), ESMA (EU)

Firms licensed by the FCA, and firms under ESMA rules, must not promise a specific return on a trading account. They must also publish the share of retail accounts that lose money. The homepage advertised a fixed 12.5% every 24 hours.

Option Capital Trades is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

Our readingA fixed percentage quoted per 24 hours is the shape of a deposit product, not a trading account. The advertised figure did not change between plan tiers, from the smallest to the largest.

  • Same clause as Exhibit 1A precise return promised in public, with the agreement that would define it missing, leaves you nothing to hold the company to.
03

Option Capital Trades told you it was a regulated broker, with oversight by major financial authorities worldwide. Its documents name no regulator, no licence and no registered company.

Why this matters

There is no regulator to complain to and no compensation scheme to claim from if your money does not come back. You would be chasing a company that never stated where it is registered.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK)

Firms licensed by the FCA appear on a public register with a firm reference number, and must say in their promotions who authorises them. Option Capital Trades named no authority and no reference.

Option Capital Trades is not licensed by this regulator, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 10A claim of worldwide oversight, and no company number or regulator in anything the firm published.
04

Option Capital Trades told visitors their deposits were insured and protected by us. No document it published names an insurer, a policy or a limit on what you could claim.

Why this matters

If your deposit went missing, there is nothing in writing to claim against and nobody named to claim from. The only promise about protecting anything that this company put in writing is a disclaimer.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA and CySEC must keep retail client money in segregated accounts. They must also name the compensation scheme that covers it. Nothing Option Capital Trades published mentions segregation, an insurer or a cover limit.

Option Capital Trades is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

Our readingInsurance offered by the broker itself, rather than by a statutory compensation scheme or a named insurer, puts the firm behind its own guarantee. No third party is there to pay if the firm cannot.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 1Insurance is promised on the website, and no published document sets a single condition of it.
05

Option Capital Trades can rewrite this policy and post the new version on its website. Under clause 10 you agree that the posting counts as telling you, so no message reaches you.

Why this matters

The website is where every change was to be announced, and that domain has now expired. You would have no way to learn that the terms covering your data had changed.

Your details can go to partners the policy never names

Clause 4 lets Option Capital Trades share your information with partners, affiliates and alliances for joint marketing, and clause 9.2 adds advertising companies. Clause 5.1 promises that it discloses nothing to any third party. Stopping the marketing depends on tick boxes, and the signup form showed none.

Your data4 clauses flagged

Option Capital Trades can pass your information to partners, affiliates and alliances for joint marketing under clause 4, and to advertising companies under clause 9.2. Clause 5.1 then says it discloses nothing to any third party for any reason.

Why this matters

You cannot find out who received your name, your phone number or your income, because no document lists a single recipient. The promise you would remember, that nothing goes to third parties, sits under the clause that allows it.

Exhibit 6WarningHarder than usual

We may also forge partnerships and alliances, which may include joint marketing agreements, with other companies who offer high-quality products and services that might be of value to our clients.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 7Your data can go to partners nobody names, and the opt-out needs boxes the signup form never showed.

Stopping the marketing is your job, and clause 8.3 says you do it by ticking boxes when Option Capital Trades collects your preferences. Its signup form asked for a username, a phone number and a password, and showed no such boxes.

Why this matters

You must opt out again for every account you hold, and one owner of a joint account opting out binds the others. Neither choice was offered where you signed up.

Exhibit 7WarningHarder than usual

If you do not want us to use your data in this way please tick the relevant boxes when we collect your marketing preferences.
Clause 8.3 in Privacy Policy

Option Capital Trades takes your consent from the act of opening an account or using the website, under clause 1.1. Clause 2.2 then lists what it collects and ends the list with etc.

Why this matters

Your income and net worth go in too, and the list has no end, so you cannot tell what you handed over. Nothing on the signup form pointed you to this policy.

Exhibit 8WarningHarder than usual

By opening an account or by using our Web site, you give your consent to the collection and use of personal information by us as explained in this privacy statement.
Clause 1.1 in Privacy Policy

Option Capital Trades reserved the right to hand your personal information to third parties beyond what the law compels. Clause 5.2 lets it do so to protect its own rights or property.

Why this matters

The company judges when that is necessary, and the clause sets no test and gives you no notice. This wording is common in older privacy policies, so read it as standard rather than unusual.

Exhibit 9NoticeStandard wording

We reserve the right to disclose your personal information to third parties where required by law to regulatory, law enforcement or other government authorities or when necessary to protect our rights or property.

Nothing states which company takes your money

The privacy policy names Option Capital Trades Market only in its copyright line, and prints one identifier, labelled ABN. Its contact page gave a Manchester street address and a phone number with a United States country code. No document states a company registration number, a country of incorporation or a regulator.

Who you contract with1 clause flagged

The privacy policy speaks only as we and us, and names Option Capital Trades Market once, in its copyright line. The only identifier it prints is labelled ABN, a form used in Australia, beside a Manchester address on the contact page.

Why this matters

You cannot look this company up, because no register and no registration number appears in anything it published. The address it gave is in England, and the phone number it gave carries a United States country code.

What changed quietly

This is our first reading of Option Capital Trades, so there is nothing to compare it against.

  • REMOVEDClause 10

The privacy policy is no longer published at its own address, which now shows an expired domain notice, so the one legal document a client had is gone.

The documents this reading is based on

1 files, all published by Option Capital Trades. Each shows when we read it and a fingerprint of its wording.

WIKILIX keeps the copy of each file it read, and does not republish it: what is published is the fingerprint of its wording. Download the file yourself and hash its text, lowercased with runs of whitespace collapsed, and a matching fingerprint means the wording quoted above is still the wording Option Capital Trades publishes.

Who the contract is with

Option Capital Trades Market

The privacy policy names Option Capital Trades Market only in its copyright line, and its body speaks as we and us throughout. The contact page gave the name Option Capital Trades, a street address in Manchester, an email address and a phone number carrying a United States country code. No document states a company registration number, a country of incorporation or a regulator. The single identifier published is labelled ABN, the form used for an Australian Business Number, which is eleven digits. The code printed is nine characters and contains letters.

Quotations are copied verbatim from the documents named above, with the clause number and the page each one came from. Where a clause is quoted in another language, the original is shown first and the English is a translation.

The plain-language parts, what a clause means for a client, how ordinary it is, and how it reads against a regulated standard, are WIKILIX's analysis and are labelled as such on every card. This is a reading of public documents, not legal advice and not an allegation of wrongdoing.

In fairness, and what we could not check

A reader who knows the edges of the work can trust the middle of it

The privacy policy is short, numbered clause by clause and written in plain English, so a reader can finish it in a few minutes. Clause 5.1 states that the company does not sell, license or lease personal information. Clause 6.2 admits that data sent over the internet is not completely secure, where plenty of firms claim the opposite. The FAQ named the identity documents needed and the deposit methods accepted, which is more than several licensed brokers put on one page.

The terms and conditions page was linked from every page of this site, and no saved copy of it survives, so nobody can now read the agreement that governs the money. Every clause quoted here comes from a stored copy of the company's own privacy policy as it stood on 25 November 2024, which is the only legal document of this company that can be read anywhere today. The privacy policy address no longer serves that document. The cookies policy in the footer linked to nothing, and the security page, the about page and the FAQ page were never saved, so we did not read them. The marketing claims quoted here come from stored copies of the company's own homepage, contact page and signup form, which we opened ourselves.

How to check any of this yourself

Every quote above links to the Option Capital Trades file it came from. This is what to do with it.

Open the three stepsFind the words in the source, work out the fingerprint, and read what a difference does and does not prove.

Open the source and search for the words

Every quote has a link under it. Open the file, or the web page, and search it for the words we quote. The clause number next to the quote tells you where to look.

If the words are not there any more, the source may have changed after we read it. That is worth knowing too. We keep the date we read it, and a code worked out from its wording, so the quote stays checkable.

What a fingerprint is

A fingerprint is a code worked out from what a source says. Change one word and the code changes completely. We keep two codes for every file we read, and the panel on each source shows both.

The first is the code of the exact file we downloaded. The second is the code of its wording alone, with capital letters lowered and runs of spaces collapsed. When the same words are saved as a new file, the first code changes and the second one stays the same.

Only the first code can be worked out on your own computer. Save the file, then run one of these, putting the name of the file you saved where the example is. The panel on each source prints the command with that source's real file name already in it.

macOS or Linux:
  shasum -a 256 the-file-you-saved.pdf

Windows:
  certutil -hashfile the-file-you-saved.pdf SHA256

The two codes are different from each other, and they are not meant to match. Comparing one against the other proves nothing.

What a difference means, and what it does not

A different file code on its own proves nothing. A PDF saved again with a new date inside it is a new file saying exactly the same thing.

A different wording code means the words themselves changed. That is the one that matters, and it is why we keep it.

Even then, a change is not proof of bad faith. Companies update their documents. What this report says is what the document said on the day we read it, and every quote carries that date.

A source that is a web page and not a file has no file to save, so only the code of its wording is shown.

How this report is made

Every clause quoted above comes from a document Option Capital Trades publishes on its own website, downloaded and hashed on the date shown, with the clause number and page recorded so any reader can check it. We do not allege anything the documents do not say, and we do not judge Option Capital Trades on anything other than its own published terms and its own public marketing. Where a clause has a qualifier that softens it, the report says so. Last read Sep 30, 2026.

If you represent Option Capital Trades and a clause has changed, been withdrawn, or is being read out of context, tell us and we will re-read the documents and update this page. Corrections from the broker are welcome and are published with the reading they change. Contact us.

This is a reading of a contract, not legal advice and not a ruling on Option Capital Trades. Whether its licence is real and current is a separate check on the broker profile.
