Oroku Edge can block and close your account the moment it detects anything it calls suspicious, including a trading script. Clause 9.17 then makes your funds, your deposit and your profits non-refundable. The agreement never says what counts as suspicious.
Why this matters
Your deposit is money you already owned, and this clause puts it beyond recovery on the firm's own judgement. Clause 16.2.7 separately lets Oroku Edge reverse your profits for 14 business days after a trade, while your losses stay exactly where they are.
Exhibit 1Every flagged clause gets its own number so you can point at this one. The number does not change, so a link to it keeps working.CriticalHow much this clause can cost you, in our reading. Critical can take your money or your profit. Warning can delay or limit it. Notice is simply worth knowing before you sign.Rarely seenHow ordinary this wording looks next to the contracts we read. This is our reading of the clause, not a count of other brokers.14 working daysThe figure this clause puts a number on, taken from the broker's own words.
OROKU EDGE will block and terminate your trading account if we detect any suspicious or any script leads to manipulation, churning, scalping robot, and others. Client’s funds, deposit and profits are not refundable.
What it costsThe same clause worked out on a round number, so you can see it in money or in days. It is an example, not a quotation. On a $1,000 deposit that has grown to $1,500, clause 9.17 reaches the whole $1,500. The $1,000 you paid in is not carved out.
Firms licensed by the FCA or CySEC must keep retail client money separate from their own and may not treat a client's deposit as the firm's property. This contract lets Oroku Edge retain a client's deposit after deciding, by itself, that the account looked suspicious.
OROKU EDGE is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.
Our readingOur own comment on the clause, not the broker's words. Anything we quote is marked as a quotation.Agreements that void profit for prohibited trading normally still return the client's own deposit. Clause 9.17 names funds, deposit and profits in one breath, with no definition of the trigger, no notice and no appeal. The agreement repeatedly relies on the term Abusive Trading "as defined herein" and contains no definitions section at all.
- Worse together with Exhibit 3Read these two clauses together. Each one costs more because the other exists. The accounts page sells Expert Advisor support, and running one is the detected script that clause 9.17 turns into forfeiture.
- Worse together with Exhibit 8Read these two clauses together. Each one costs more because the other exists. Two people on one home connection meet the shared IP test, which is listed as evidence of the prohibited activity that triggers this clause.
