Is Orsted a scam?

Likely scamMEDIUM confidence
Updated August 24, 2026
Offshore shell, withdrawal fraud / exit scam

ORSFX (orsfx.com) shows the hallmarks of a scam, and we rate it a likely scam. It was a retail forex and CFD broker whose only credential was a low-tier offshore Anjouan (Comoros) registration that is now shown as Not active, and its website has gone dark after freezing withdrawals.

  • Its single registration, with the Anjouan Offshore Finance Authority (ORSFX Limited, L15678/OLTD), is a near-worthless offshore paper and the register now lists it as Not active.
  • In August 2025 the site posted a 48-hour scheduled maintenance notice that suspended trading, deposits and withdrawals at the same time.
  • The live site now serves only a blank hosting default page. The operation appears to have shut down.
  • Multiple review platforms report withdrawals left unpaid for 20 days or more, with no reply from support.
  • It advertised an Australia presence we could not match to any Australian licence, and held no protection for client funds anywhere.

Risk scorecard

Each area is scored 0 (clean) to 10 (worst). Higher means more risk.

Worst area: Critical
SeverityLowModerateHighCritical

Regulation

8/10 · Critical

Only ever held a bottom-tier Anjouan (Comoros) offshore registration, now shown Not active; no real protection and an unverifiable Australia claim.

Identity & transparency

7/10 · High

Entity name matches the offshore register, but ownership is hidden, the address is an offshore mailbox, and jurisdiction claims (Comoros vs Australia) conflict.

Withdrawals & conduct

8/10 · Critical

Consistent fund-integrity reports across platforms of withdrawals unpaid for 20+ days, aligned with an August 2025 maintenance freeze and the site's shutdown.

Reputation

8/10 · Critical

Overwhelmingly negative external assessments; ScamAdviser trust score 0 and multiple aggregators label it a scam.

Website claims

8/10 · Critical

Marketed 'full adherence to stringent financial regulations' and an 'AA-rated custodian bank' while holding only weak offshore paper and an unproven Australia presence.

Operational history

6/10 · High

Domain only registered April 2023 and the operation is now defunct; offshore company undatable, so history is short and has already collapsed.

Who they are

A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.

Anjouan Offshore Finance Authority (AOFA), Union of the Comoros

On the AOFA register but shown as Not active (lapsed/ceased)Tier 4
An offshore brokerage registration in the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Comoros. AOFA is a bottom-tier offshore authority whose registrations are easy to obtain and provide no meaningful supervision.
Protection: None. No compensation scheme and no protection of client deposits.Official register

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

We reached 'likely scam' because several independent findings point the same way.

  • Only offshore paper, now inactive. On the Anjouan Offshore Finance Authority register the entity ORSFX Limited holds licence L15678/OLTD, valid until 3 April 2026, with status Not active. Anjouan is a bottom-tier offshore authority that offers no compensation scheme and does not protect client deposits.
  • Withdrawal freeze then silence. The August 2025 homepage told clients that trading, deposits and withdrawals would be unavailable during 'scheduled maintenance'. That is a classic way to stall payouts.
  • The site is gone. orsfx.com now returns only a default hosting page, consistent with an operation that took deposits and then closed.
  • Money not coming back. Independent review platforms describe the same failure: withdrawal requests unpaid after 20 days or more, and support that does not respond.
  • Misrepresentation. The site presented itself as fully compliant with 'stringent financial regulations' and named an 'AA-rated custodian bank', while advertising an Australia presence we could not tie to any Australian authorisation.

Note on operating history: the 3.3-year track record rests on domain registration alone. No company incorporation date could be established, so this is an upper bound rather than a confirmed age.

  • E1Domain orsfx.com was registered on 19 April 2023 (NameCheap, Cloudflare nameservers), so the operation is at most about three years old.

  • E8Reviews report ORSFX advertised an Australia location with no matching ASIC entry, and that a Saint Vincent number it previously cited (159 LLC 2022) is linked to a different company. We could not open those registers to confirm, so this is a lead, not proof.

    ModerateFastBull broker review
  • E9The Anjouan register entry matches the broker's own entity name and licence number, so this is its own offshore registration rather than a clone of a regulated firm.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

In fairness, here is the case for the broker.

  • The Anjouan registration is genuine and matches the broker's own entity name and number, so this is its own offshore paper, not a clone wearing another firm's licence.
  • Holding only an offshore registration is, on its own, a risk tier and not proof of fraud. Hundreds of brokers operate this way.
  • We could not open Trustpilot directly or read individual complaint tickets, so the fund-integrity complaints rest partly on review-aggregator summaries rather than transaction-level detail we captured ourselves.
  • A 'scheduled maintenance' notice can, in isolation, be routine platform work rather than a payout freeze.

These points explain why we say 'likely' rather than 'confirmed'. They do not outweigh the combination of an expired offshore-only registration, a withdrawal freeze, a dead site and repeated unpaid-withdrawal reports.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

Our view would move if new facts appeared.

  • Toward safer: the site returning to full operation, a current tier-1 or tier-2 licence verifiable on that regulator's own register, and documented, recent successful withdrawals.
  • Toward confirmed scam: a regulator warning or alert naming orsfx.com, a court or enforcement action, or a specific, verified demand for an extra payment (tax, fee or unlock charge) before releasing client funds.
  • Confirmation on the Saint Vincent registry that the previously reported number 159 LLC 2022 belongs to a different company would establish deliberate identity misuse.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

12 questions
Is ORSFX a scam?

We rate ORSFX a likely scam. Its only credential was a bottom-tier offshore Anjouan registration that is now inactive, its site has gone dark after a withdrawal freeze, and multiple users report unpaid withdrawals. Treat it as unsafe.

Is ORSFX regulated?

No, not in any meaningful way. It only ever held a registration with the Anjouan Offshore Finance Authority in the Comoros (ORSFX Limited, L15678/OLTD), which offers no real protection, and that entry now shows as Not active on the register.

Can I withdraw my money from ORSFX?

Users report that withdrawal requests went unpaid for 20 days or more with no response from support, and the website is now offline. Recovering funds is likely to be difficult.

Is my money safe with ORSFX?

No. There is no compensation scheme behind an Anjouan registration and no evidence of segregated, protected client accounts. The operation appears to have shut down.

Who owns ORSFX?

The trading name maps to ORSFX Limited, a company registered in the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of the Comoros. Beneficial ownership is not disclosed on the site.

How old is ORSFX?

The domain orsfx.com was registered in April 2023, making the operation only about three years old at most, and it now appears defunct.

What is the Anjouan (AOFA) licence worth?

Very little. Anjouan is a low-tier offshore authority whose registrations are inexpensive to obtain and provide no client-fund protection or compensation scheme. In this case the registration is also now inactive.

Is ORSFX a clone of another company?

No. The Anjouan register entry matches the broker's own name and licence number, so this is its own offshore paper rather than an impersonation of a regulated firm. Note it is unrelated to the Danish energy company of a similar name.

Why does the ORSFX website not work?

orsfx.com now returns only a blank hosting default page. It stopped operating after posting a maintenance notice in August 2025 that suspended trading, deposits and withdrawals.

ORSFX claimed to be in Australia. Is that true?

We could not match ORSFX to any Australian financial authorisation. Claiming an Australia presence without an Australian licence is a red flag.

What should I do if I was scammed by ORSFX?

Gather all records, report the loss to your local financial regulator and police, and if you paid by card or bank ask about a chargeback or recall. Avoid upfront-fee 'recovery' services, which are usually a second scam.

What should I check before depositing with any broker?

Confirm a current licence on the regulator's own register, check independent reviews for withdrawal complaints, verify the legal entity and address, and be wary of offshore-only registrations and pressure to deposit quickly.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

Treat ORSFX as unsafe.

  • Do not deposit or send further funds, including any 'fee' or 'tax' requested to release a balance.
  • If you hold a balance, document everything (statements, chats, transfer records) and request a withdrawal in writing.
  • If you paid by card or bank transfer, ask your bank about a chargeback or recall, and report the loss to your local financial regulator and police.
  • Ignore anyone who contacts you offering to 'recover' your funds for an upfront fee. That is a common follow-up scam.
