Is PIPWISE a scam?

High risk (unverified)MEDIUM confidence
Offshore regulatory arbitrage with out-of-scope solicitation

PIPWISE is not a confirmed scam, and we found no regulator warning, no enforcement action and no evidence of fraud naming this company. It is, however, a high-risk offshore broker, and we rate it 54 percent.

  • Its one licence is genuine. The Mwali registrar in the Comoros lists PIPWISE LTD under licence BFX2024116, issued 23 May 2024, as active, and records pipwise.com as the licensed website. That rules out a clone.
  • But that licence protects almost nothing. MISA is a low-tier offshore registrar on an autonomous Comoran island, with no compensation scheme and no practical route to recover money.
  • Two of its own statements do not hold up. It says it does not serve residents of Iran, yet its deposit page offers a funding channel in Iranian rial and it publishes Persian and Russian versions of its site. Its company-written profile on a review platform says it is licensed in Georgia; the National Bank of Georgia's published list of licensed brokerage companies does not include it.
  • The UK company is gone. PIPWISE LTD (14746895), incorporated in London in March 2023, was dissolved on 20 May 2025. The entity that now holds client money is in the Comoros and its ownership is not public.
  • Client feedback is thin and mixed. 12 Trustpilot reviews at 4.2, including several reports of withdrawals actually paid, against two reports of money held back that describe different problems and are not corroborated.

Regulation

7/10 · High

One genuine licence confirmed active on the issuing registrar's own list, but MISA is a bottom-tier offshore registrar with no compensation scheme, and nothing stronger sits behind it while the broker solicits across several regions.

Identity & transparency

5/10 · Moderate

Legal entity, registration number, registered address and a client agreement are all published, but the Comoros entity's ownership is not, the Tbilisi operating address appears only on third-party profiles, and the UK company behind the brand was dissolved in May 2025.

Withdrawals & conduct

4/10 · Moderate

Two isolated fund-access reports on separate platforms describing different failures, one answered publicly and consistent with published bonus terms, the other undated and unquantified, set against credible reports of withdrawals paid.

Reputation

5/10 · Moderate

Net positive but thin and partly suspect: 12 Trustpilot reviews at 4.2 with a hollow middle and mostly single-review accounts, mixed Persian-language coverage, and no hits on any regulator warning list.

Website claims

6/10 · High

Accurate about its licence and its age, but it offers an Iranian rial funding channel while excluding Iran, runs Persian and Russian site versions while excluding both countries, and its own profile claims a Georgian licence the national register does not show.

Operational history

4/10 · Moderate

Roughly three and a half verified years, domain August 2022 and first company March 2023, consistent with what it advertises, but the corporate leg rests on a company that has since been dissolved.

We confirmed this broker on a genuine regulator’s register.

Licences the broker publishes

Mwali International Services Authority (MISA), Union of Comoros

VerifiedTier 4Limited relevance
A brokerage licence issued by the registrar of Mwali (Moheli), an autonomous island of the Comoros. It is a paid offshore registration rather than supervision by a functioning financial regulator, and the Comoran central bank has publicly distanced itself from licences issued there.
Protection: Negligible. No compensation scheme, no client-money protection you could enforce, and no practical complaint or redress route if the broker stops paying.Official register

National Bank of Georgia

UnverifiedNot a forex licence
No such licence exists for this company. PIPWISE's own company description on a review platform states that it is licensed in Georgia, but the National Bank of Georgia, which licenses and supervises brokerage companies there, publishes a complete register of eleven licensed brokerage companies and PIPWISE appears on it under no spelling. The company does appear to operate from Tbilisi, which is not the same as holding a Georgian licence.
Protection: None. There is no Georgian licence and therefore no Georgian supervision or protection.Official register
The Mwali International Services Authority list of authorised brokerage companies, entry 191: PIPWISE LTD, licence BFX2024116, issued 23 May 2024, status Active, website pipwise.com.
The Mwali registrar list of suspended brokerage companies. PIPWISE LTD does not appear among the 74 suspended entities.
The National Bank of Georgia register of licensed brokerage companies. PIPWISE is not listed, which refutes the claim that it is licensed in Georgia.
A search of ASIC's investor alert list for pipwise returns no results, so no Australian warning names this broker.
The FCA Financial Services Register search for PIPWISE returns no authorised firm and no warning entry.

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

This is a real, licensed brokerage with a weak licence and some statements it cannot support. That mix lands it in the high-risk band rather than anywhere near a scam finding.

  • The identity check passes cleanly. The Mwali registrar's list of authorised brokerage companies shows PIPWISE LTD at entry 191: licence BFX2024116, issued 23 May 2024, status active, with pipwise.com as the licensed website. The licence certificate on record also shows it held exclusively by the PIPWISE brand. A broker using someone else's licence fails on this point, and PIPWISE does not.
  • The licence is close to worthless for a client, and it is the only one. MISA is the registrar of the autonomous island of Moheli, not a functioning supervisor. There is no compensation scheme, no enforceable segregation of client money and no realistic complaint route. PIPWISE is absent from the FCA's Financial Services Register and from the National Bank of Georgia's list of licensed brokerage companies, so nothing stronger sits behind it.
  • It contradicts its own restricted-country list. The footer on every page says services are not available to residents of Iran. The deposit table on the same site lists TCPAY with IRR, the Iranian rial, as a funding currency, and the site publishes Persian and Russian language versions while excluding both Iran and Russia. A broker that genuinely excludes a country does not build a payment channel in its currency.
  • One licence claim is refuted at source. The company's own description on Trustpilot states it is fully regulated by the Comoros Union and licensed in Georgia. The National Bank of Georgia publishes its complete list of licensed brokerage companies, eleven entities, and PIPWISE appears nowhere on it under any spelling.
  • The corporate trail has thinned. The London company it incorporated in March 2023 was dissolved on 20 May 2025, and its registered office was a mass-registration address at 27 Old Gloucester Street. Its sole director was resident in Pakistan. No owner or director is published for the Comoros entity that now takes deposits, and Moheli operates no public company search, so the registration number HT00524055 cannot be checked independently.
  • The complaints do not form a pattern. We found two reports that money did not come back. One, from October 2024, concerns a 50 US dollar withdrawal from a welcome bonus; the company answered publicly that the bonus conditions had not been met, and its published bonus terms do set a volume condition and do state that withdrawing deposited capital reduces the bonus proportionally. The other, on BrokersView, reports an account frozen for unauthorised activity with withdrawals blocked, but gives no amount, date or reference. Different failures, no common window, nothing checkable in the more serious of the two. That is a moderate signal, not a withdrawal trap, and the pattern is unconfirmed.
  • Track record is short but honestly stated. pipwise.com was registered on 2 August 2022 and the first company behind it was incorporated on 21 March 2023, so the operation runs to roughly three and a half years. That matches what the broker advertises, which is unusual and counts in its favour. The figure rests on the dissolved UK company for its corporate leg, because the Comoros entity could not be dated, so treat it as an upper bound.

Evidence ledger

Every finding, with its source and how strongly it points.

5 against9 in favour
  • E1The Mwali registrar's own list of authorised brokerage companies carries PIPWISE LTD at entry 191 with licence BFX2024116, date of issue 23 May 2024, status Active, and records http://www.pipwise.com/ as the licensed website. Entity name and website both match the operation under review, so the licence belongs to this broker and not to another firm.

  • E2The licence certificate on record shows regulatory status Regulated, licence number BFX2024116, jurisdiction Comoros, effective date 23 May 2024, licensed entity PIPWISE LTD, institution website www.pipwise.com, sharing status exclusive to the PIPWISE brand, and authorised activities covering forex, futures, derivatives and options. No end date is printed.

StrongLicence certificate held on a third-party broker directory
  • E3The broker's deposit and withdrawal page lists TCPAY with IRR, the Iranian rial, as a funding currency alongside USD, while the footer on the same page states that services are not available to residents of Iran. The site also publishes Arabic, Persian and Russian versions while excluding both Iran and Russia. A broker that genuinely excludes a country does not build a payment channel in its currency.

  • E4The National Bank of Georgia publishes the complete register of licensed brokerage companies, eleven entities from Cartu Broker in 2000 to Whitebit Broker in 2026. PIPWISE does not appear on it under any spelling, yet the company's own description on Trustpilot states that it is fully regulated by the Comoros Union and licensed in Georgia.

  • E5PIPWISE LTD, UK company number 14746895, was incorporated on 21 March 2023 and dissolved on 20 May 2025. Its registered office was 27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3AX, an address used by very large numbers of unrelated companies. A search of Companies House returns only this one company matching PIPWISE, so there is no name collision.

  • E6The sole officer of the dissolved UK company was Sayed Shabih Hussain, a Pakistani national resident in Pakistan, appointed 21 March 2023. No owner or director is published anywhere for PIPWISE LTD of the Comoros, which is the entity that now contracts with clients and holds their deposits.

  • E7pipwise.com was registered on 2 August 2022 through GoDaddy and runs on Cloudflare nameservers, with the record last changed on 26 January 2026. Certificates also exist for the domain from January 2019 under a previous holder, so PIPWISE brand continuity runs from August 2022 rather than from 2019.

  • E8The broker's About page states that PIPWISE commenced operations in 2023 under the trade name PIPWISE LTD with registration number HT00524055. This is consistent with the domain registration of August 2022 and the first company incorporation of March 2023, so the advertised age is not inflated.

  • E9Trustpilot holds 12 reviews for pipwise.com at 4.2, distributed 75 percent five-star, 8 percent three-star and 17 percent one-star with an empty middle. One reviewer describes withdrawing 160 US dollars, and two users of a year or more report that deposits and withdrawals were processed smoothly. The company replies publicly to both praise and criticism.

  • E10A one-star Trustpilot review dated 19 October 2024 reports that a 50 US dollar withdrawal was rejected for reasons the client found unclear and that support could not produce proof. The company replied in public that the withdrawal conditions for the welcome bonus had not been met. The same complaint text appears on a third-party broker directory from the same date, so it is one client, not two.

  • E11A review on BrokersView reports that after making profits the client's account was suddenly frozen for unauthorised activity, withdrawals were blocked and support stopped responding. The report carries no amount, no date and no reference number, so none of it can be checked, and it is the only review on that platform.

  • E12The Mwali registrar's list of suspended brokerage companies, 74 entities whose annual fee was not paid and which are not permitted to continue activity, does not include PIPWISE LTD or licence BFX2024116.

  • E13A search of ASIC's investor alert list, covering 4,592 entities, returns zero results for pipwise. The list names both companies and websites, so an operation soliciting Australian residents without authorisation would normally appear.

  • E14The FCA's Financial Services Register returns no firm and no warning entry for PIPWISE. The register surfaces both authorised firms and unauthorised-firm warnings, so this covers both questions for the United Kingdom, where the broker publishes a UK mobile support number and once held a London company.

  • E15The broker publishes the full conditions of its 120 percent first-deposit bonus: 10 US dollars of bonus credit is released for every 3 lots traded in EUR/USD equivalent, the minimum qualifying deposit is 50 US dollars, each trade must last at least a minute, leverage on bonus accounts is capped at 1:100, and withdrawing deposited capital reduces the bonus proportionally. The conditions are disclosed rather than hidden, and they explain the one specific withdrawal complaint.

  • E16A widely circulated Persian-language list of forex brokers labelled as scams names FiboGroup, Errante, Windsor, MultiBank Group, SFCMarket, ICBroker and TriumphFX among others. PIPWISE is not on it, which matters because the broker's client base is visibly Persian-speaking and would be expected to report problems in that language first.

  • E17The broker funds client accounts through Visa and Mastercard, STICPAY, Perfect Money, TCPAY and three crypto rails, from 10 US dollars with no stated fee, and runs two MetaTrader 5 servers under its own name, Pipwise-Live and Pipwise-Demo, with a live web terminal. This is not a crypto-only funnel and a real trading operation exists behind the brand.

The BrokersView page for PIPWISE, carrying a single review that reports an account frozen for unauthorised activity with withdrawals blocked.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

The case for PIPWISE being an ordinary, if risky, offshore broker is stronger than the headline number suggests.

  • It is not pretending to be anyone. No tier-one brand is being impersonated, no borrowed licence number, no typosquatted domain. The regulator's own record names this company and this website.
  • It does not inflate its history. The commonest tell in this sector is a since-2010 banner on a domain registered last year. PIPWISE claims 2022 or 2023 and the records agree.
  • A real trading operation exists. Two MetaTrader 5 servers run under the PIPWISE name with measurable execution, the web terminal is live, and funding is not crypto-only: cards, STICPAY and Perfect Money all appear alongside the crypto rails. Pure boiler rooms rarely bother with any of this.
  • Money does come out for some clients. One reviewer describes withdrawing 160 US dollars from a bonus, and two users of a year or more report deposits and withdrawals processed smoothly. The company replies to criticism in public rather than going quiet.
  • Its bonus terms are published, not hidden. The 120 percent offer sets out the release schedule, the minimum deposit and the proportional clawback in writing. That is the opposite of the undisclosed volume trap this sector is known for, and it makes the one specific withdrawal complaint look like a bonus dispute rather than theft.
  • Nothing adverse on any list. No entry on ASIC's investor alert list; nothing on the FCA register; absent from the Mwali registrar's list of suspended brokerage companies; and absent from a widely circulated Persian-language scam-broker list, despite a visibly Persian-speaking client base that would have reported problems loudly.
  • Georgia may be sloppiness rather than deception. The company clearly operates from Tbilisi, and licensed in Georgia may be a careless way of saying registered in Georgia. It is still wrong, and it is wrong in the direction that flatters them, which is why we weigh it.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

These are the specific findings that would move this verdict in either direction.

  • Towards safe: a licence from a tier-one or tier-two regulator (FCA, CySEC, ASIC, FSCA) held by the entity that actually takes client deposits, verifiable on that regulator's register.
  • Towards safe: removing the Iranian rial funding channel and the Persian and Russian site versions, so the restricted-country list matches what the business actually does; or amending the list to state honestly which countries it serves.
  • Towards safe: correcting the licensed in Georgia wording, and publishing the Tbilisi operating address and the ownership of the Comoros entity on its own site.
  • Towards safe: a year of accumulating independent reviews with no fund-access complaints, and a published verification link from its licence number straight to the registrar's record.
  • Towards scam: three or more clients describing the same withdrawal failure inside one window with amounts and dates, particularly any demand for a further payment such as a tax, fee or verification charge before funds are released. One credible report of that kind would change the verdict substantially.
  • Towards scam: any regulator warning or alert naming pipwise.com, or the appearance of PIPWISE LTD on the Mwali registrar's suspended or liquidation lists.
  • Towards scam: the MISA licence lapsing or being withdrawn while the site continues to display the Comoros regulated badge.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

14 questions
Is PIPWISE a scam?

No, not on the evidence we found. PIPWISE holds a genuine brokerage licence, shown on the issuing registrar's own list, and there is no regulator warning, no enforcement action and no court record naming it. We do rate it high risk at 54 percent, because its only licence is a low-tier offshore one and two of the statements it makes about itself do not hold up.

Is PIPWISE a fraud?

We found no evidence of fraud. No regulator has issued a warning about pipwise.com, no authority has brought an action against PIPWISE LTD, and we found no fraud-related court record naming the company. Two clients report money that did not come back, but they describe different problems and neither report can be checked, so we treat that as unconfirmed rather than as proof of anything.

Is PIPWISE regulated?

Yes, but only by the Mwali International Services Authority in the Comoros, licence BFX2024116, effective 23 May 2024. The entry is on the registrar's own list of authorised brokerage companies, which also records pipwise.com as the licensed website. MISA is a low-tier offshore registrar, not a supervisor comparable to the FCA or ASIC.

What is a MISA licence actually worth?

Very little in practice. MISA is the registrar of Moheli, an autonomous island of the Comoros. It runs no compensation scheme, imposes no client-money protection you could enforce, and offers no realistic complaint or redress process. Treat a MISA licence as confirmation that the company exists on a register, not as protection for your deposit.

Can I get my money out of PIPWISE?

Several clients say yes. One describes withdrawing 160 US dollars, and two users of a year or more report that deposits and withdrawals were processed smoothly. Two others report problems: a 50 dollar bonus withdrawal refused, and an account frozen with withdrawals blocked. Test with a small withdrawal before committing real money, and keep your receipts.

Is my money safe with PIPWISE?

It is not protected in any meaningful legal sense. There is no compensation scheme behind a MISA licence, no regulator that will pursue your funds on your behalf, and the company that holds your money is a Comoros entity whose owners are not published. Only deposit what you could afford to lose entirely.

Who owns PIPWISE?

Not publicly disclosed. The London company PIPWISE LTD (14746895) listed one director, Sayed Shabih Hussain, a Pakistani national resident in Pakistan, appointed 21 March 2023, but that company was dissolved on 20 May 2025. The Comoros entity that now takes deposits publishes no owner or director, and Moheli operates no public company search.

Is PIPWISE a clone of another broker?

No. The registrar's record names PIPWISE LTD and records pipwise.com as the licensed website, and the licence is held exclusively by the PIPWISE brand. Clones typically quote a real firm's licence number while the register points to a different company and a different website. That is not what happens here.

How old is PIPWISE?

About three and a half years of verifiable history. The domain pipwise.com was registered on 2 August 2022 and the first company behind the brand was incorporated on 21 March 2023. The broker advertises 2022 or 2023 depending on where you read, which matches the records. Treat this as an upper bound, because the Comoros entity itself could not be dated.

Why does PIPWISE say it does not serve Iran when it accepts Iranian rial?

That is one of our main concerns and the broker has not explained it. Every page footer states services are not available to residents of Iran, while the deposit table lists TCPAY with IRR, the Iranian rial, as a funding currency, and the site publishes a Persian version. A broker that genuinely excludes a country does not usually build a payment channel in its currency.

Is PIPWISE licensed in Georgia?

No. Its own company description on a review platform says it is licensed in Georgia, but the National Bank of Georgia publishes the complete list of licensed brokerage companies, eleven entities, and PIPWISE is not among them. The company does appear to operate from Tbilisi, which is a different thing from holding a Georgian licence.

Should I take the 120 percent deposit bonus?

Be careful. The terms are published and they tie the bonus release to traded volume: 10 dollars of bonus credit is released for every 3 lots traded, and withdrawing your own capital reduces the bonus proportionally. The one specific fund complaint we found was a bonus withdrawal refused on exactly these grounds. If you want unconditional access to your funds, trade without the bonus.

What should I check before depositing with PIPWISE?

Confirm the licence is still active on the Mwali registrar's list and that PIPWISE is not on its suspended list. Read the client agreement and the bonus terms before funding. Verify that your country is not on the exclusion list in the footer. Then deposit the minimum, withdraw a small amount, and only continue if that works.

What do I do if PIPWISE will not pay me?

Write to support@pipwise.com with your account number, the exact amounts and dates, and keep every reply. If you paid by card, ask your bank about a chargeback quickly, since time limits apply. If you paid by crypto, recovery is very unlikely. Be aware that a MISA complaint is unlikely to produce a result, and never pay anyone who promises to recover your funds for an upfront fee, which is a second scam aimed at victims of the first.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

Treat PIPWISE as a high-risk offshore broker. It is usable, but only with money you are prepared to lose access to.

  • Do not deposit more than you can write off. A MISA licence gives you no compensation scheme and no regulator who will realistically pursue your money for you.
  • Check the licence yourself against the Mwali registrar's list of authorised brokerage companies before you fund an account, and confirm PIPWISE LTD is still shown as active and not on the suspended list.
  • Avoid the 120 percent bonus unless you have read the release terms. The single specific complaint we found is a bonus withdrawal that was refused, and the terms do tie the bonus to traded volume and claw it back if you withdraw capital. Trade without the bonus if you want unconditional access to your funds.
  • Test withdrawals early and small. Deposit the minimum, trade briefly, withdraw, and confirm the money arrives before committing more.
  • Keep your own records. Save deposit receipts, withdrawal request screenshots, ticket numbers and chat transcripts. The unverified complaints failed for lack of these.
  • If you are in a country on its exclusion list, understand that you have no protection at all: the broker's own terms say it does not serve you, which undermines any claim you might later make.
