Is Pocket Option Guides a scam?

Not a brokerHIGH confidence
Affiliate site for an offshore binary options broker (not a broker itself)

Pocket Option Guides is not a broker and never holds your money. It is a high-risk, anonymous affiliate site, and the Bank of Russia lists its original domain among Pocket Option's websites.

  • Every sign-up, login and download button is a tracked affiliate link to Pocket Option. Pocket Option is an offshore binary options broker that the UK FCA and regulators in at least nine other jurisdictions have warned about.
  • The Bank of Russia has a warning entry on PO Trade and Pocket Option, classed as showing signs of an illegal securities market participant. It names pocketoptionguides.com among the operation's websites.
  • The site tells readers to use a VPN if the broker is blocked. It also runs German and Brazilian editions for countries where Pocket Option itself says it does not offer its service.
  • It names no owner, company or address. In September 2026 it moved to a new domain, potradinglearn.com.
  • We found no evidence of fraud by the site itself. The risk comes from the broker it sends you to and the claims it makes to get you there.

Worst area: Critical
SeverityLowModerateHighCritical

Regulation

8/10 · Critical

Holds no licence, as it admits, and the Bank of Russia lists pocketoptionguides.com in its Pocket Option entry; the one mitigation is that the site takes no deposits itself.

Identity & transparency

8/10 · Critical

No company, address, contact or author anywhere, hidden domain ownership, headings that carry Pocket Option's name, and a move to a new domain in September 2026.

Withdrawals & conduct

2/10 · Low

The site holds no client money and no complaint names it; complaints about the broker it promotes are not counted against it here.

Reputation

6/10 · High

No reviews of the site on Trustpilot, Reddit or elsewhere, and its original domain is on the Bank of Russia warning list; no IOSCO alert names it.

Website claims

7/10 · High

Open about being unofficial, but says Pocket Option is licensed, shows a Trustpilot score Trustpilot withholds, advises VPN use and targets Germany and Brazil, which the broker excludes.

Operational history

5/10 · Moderate

Domain registered September 2023 and archived as the same site since February 2024; no company behind it, and a new domain registered on 24 September 2026.

Who they are

A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.

  • Brand: Pocket Option Guides. Its headings, logo and page titles use the Pocket Option name.
  • Legal entity: none disclosed. The terms refer only to 'our Company'.
  • Registered: not disclosed. Domain ownership is hidden behind a privacy service, and no UK company called Pocket Option Guides exists.
  • Website: potradinglearn.com. The original address, pocketoptionguides.com, now forwards there.
  • Only licence: none. Its terms say it is not regulated by any financial authority.
  • Offers: guides, promo codes and affiliate sign-up links for the Pocket Option binary options platform, with editions in English, Portuguese for Brazil, Spanish, French, Indonesian, Arabic, Italian, German and Polish.
  • Not accepted: the site takes no deposits. Pocket Option says it does not serve residents of the EEA, the USA, Israel, the UK, the Philippines, Japan or Brazil.
  • Age claim: none for the site itself. Its first domain was registered on 9 September 2023, and the same site appears in archived copies from February 2024.

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

We class Pocket Option Guides as not a broker because it never takes or holds client money. It is an affiliate marketing site, and the problem is what it markets.

  • What it is. The footer calls it an unofficial Pocket Option partner website and says every button leads to the broker's registration page. Its terms say it is not the official site and is not regulated. Every button we checked is a tracked affiliate link with the site's partner code.
  • The regulator listing. The Bank of Russia keeps a list of entities with signs of illegal activity in the financial market. It has had an entry for PO Trade, POCKET OPTION and PO TRADE LTD (Saint Lucia) since 14 September 2021, classed as showing signs of an illegal professional securities market participant. The entry's website list, updated on 23 October 2026, includes pocketoptionguides.com. IOSCO's alert network has no warning naming either of the site's domains.
  • Where the links lead. The sign-up link we followed ended on trade.study, a registration page branded Trade Study rather than Pocket Option. Its terms give the same Costa Rica address as Pocket Option's own terms, and the Bank of Russia lists trade.study in the same entry.
  • The broker behind it. The FCA warns that PocketOption is not authorised and may be targeting people in the UK. IOSCO's alert network also carries warnings from regulators in Australia, Israel, the USA, Brazil, Ukraine, Belgium, Alberta, Italy and Spain. Pocket Option's own terms name no licence and no regulator.
  • What it tells readers. The site says Pocket Option has licenses to carry out brokerage activities, and it explains regulators' objections as binary options not being approved everywhere. It shows a 4 out of 5 Trustpilot score, while Trustpilot itself withholds that rating after removing fake reviews. It promises prompt withdrawals and advises a VPN when the broker is blocked. Its German and Brazilian editions target countries Pocket Option says it does not serve.
  • Who runs it. No owner, company, address or contact appears anywhere, and domain ownership is hidden. The site moved to potradinglearn.com, registered on 24 September 2026 through the same registrar and the same Cloudflare nameservers as the original domain.
  • How old it is. The original domain dates from 9 September 2023. No company stands behind the site, so the age rests on the domain alone, and about three years is an upper bound.

No complaint names the site, and it cannot freeze a withdrawal. Our risk rating therefore rests on the listing, the anonymity and the claims, not on lost deposits.

Every finding, with its source and how strongly it points.

9 against3 in favour
  • E1pocketoptionguides.com forwards to potradinglearn.com. The site there ends with the line 'Copyright © 2026 Pocket Option Guides', and its terms and privacy pages are titled for pocketoptionguides.com. The new address is therefore the same operation as the domain on our record.

  • E2The footer calls the site an unofficial Pocket Option partner website whose buttons lead to the broker's registration page. The terms say it is not the official Pocket Option website, is not regulated by any financial authority and should be treated as informational. The site has no deposit page or account area of its own.

  • E3The Bank of Russia keeps a list of entities with detected signs of illegal activity in the financial market. It has an entry for PO Trade, POCKET OPTION and PO TRADE LTD (Saint Lucia), added on 14 September 2021 and classed as showing signs of an illegal professional securities market participant. The entry's website list, updated on 23 October 2026, names pocketoptionguides.com.

  • E4Every sign-up, login and download button is a tracked affiliate link on u3.shortink.io carrying utm_source=affiliate and the partner code ScXdWxMu89buH6. The link we followed ended on trade.study, a registration page branded Trade Study. Its terms give the same Costa Rica address as Pocket Option's, and the Bank of Russia lists trade.study in the same Pocket Option entry. The site's footer says the buttons lead to the official Pocket Option site.

  • E5The sign-up guide tells readers who cannot open the broker's site that this may be due to limitations of their internet provider, and to use a vpn with another country to visit the site. The login page adds that the site always has working and available links for all countries.

  • E6The site runs a Portuguese edition titled Pocket Option Corretora: Plataforma PO Trade Brasil, written for Brazilian traders. It also runs a German edition titled Pocket Option Trading 2026: PO Trade Broker Deutschland. Pocket Option says it does not serve Brazil or the EEA (E7), and Brazil's CVM has issued alerts about it (E12).

  • E7Pocket Option's own home page states that it does not provide service to residents of the EEA countries, USA, Israel, UK, Philippines, Japan and Brazil.

  • E8The app page tells readers that Pocket Option has licenses to carry out brokerage activities but names none. It explains regulators' objections as some countries not having approved binary options on par with futures.

  • E9Pocket Option's public offer agreement names no licence and no regulator, and it is governed by the law of Costa Rica. It lets the company reset trading results for bonus speculation and abusive trading. It also lets the company terminate the agreement or suspend communication with a client over negative reviews.

  • E10The home page shows a Trustpilot score of 4 out of 5 for Pocket Option, and the German edition shows 4.5. Trustpilot shows the rating for m.pocketoption.com as unavailable due to a breach of its guidelines and says it removed a number of fake reviews. It has also removed the pocketoption.com profile altogether.

    ModerateTrustpilot
  • E11The FCA warning list entry for PocketOption, first published on 29 September 2021 and updated on 10 February 2026, says the firm is not authorised and may be targeting people in the UK. It lists pocketoption.com, potrade.com and trader-pockethub.com. The warning concerns the broker the site promotes and does not name this site.

  • E12IOSCO's I-SCAN alert network lists warnings about Pocket Option, PO TRADE LTD or Gembell Limited from Australia's ASIC (July 2026), Israel's ISA (April 2026), the US CFTC (January 2026), Brazil's CVM (2023 and 2024), Ukraine's NSSMC, Belgium's FSMA, Alberta's ASC, Italy's CONSOB and Spain's CNMV. These concern the broker the site promotes, not the site itself.

    ModerateIOSCO I-SCAN
  • E13Keyword searches of IOSCO's I-SCAN for pocketoptionguides and for potradinglearn return no warnings.

  • E14pocketoptionguides.com was registered on 9 September 2023. potradinglearn.com was registered on 24 September 2026 through the same registrar (PDR Ltd), the same privacy service and the same pair of Cloudflare nameservers. The site's terms and privacy policy were last updated that same day.

  • E15An archived copy of pocketoptionguides.com from 29 February 2024 shows the same Pocket Option partner site under the name Pocket Option Guides. That version told readers potential payouts were as high as 218%.

  • E16No company name, address, phone number, email or named author appears anywhere on the site, and the terms refer only to 'our Company'. Domain ownership is hidden behind Privacy Protect, LLC, and Companies House lists no company called Pocket Option Guides.

  • E17Trustpilot has no page for pocketoptionguides.com or potradinglearn.com. Searches of Reddit and the wider web found no review or complaint naming either domain.

    WeakTrustpilot and Reddit
  • E18The app page carries testimonials signed only with first names that quote profits, such as a net gain of around $2,500 in six months and $3,000 in four months. There is no way to check who wrote them.

  • E19A page titled NECLAS - information describes an academic council for Latin American studies and imagines it joining forces with Pocket Option. The link has no apparent basis, and the page reads as filler built around another organisation's name.

  • E20The login page only links out to the broker. It has no form or password field, so the site does not collect Pocket Option login details.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

The best case for the site is that it is an ordinary affiliate page that is open about what it is.

  • Its footer, terms and privacy policy all say it is unofficial, informational and not regulated, and its pages carry a risk warning.
  • It has no deposit page, no payment form and no login form. It cannot take a deposit, collect a password or refuse a withdrawal.
  • It has run under the same name since at least February 2024, and we found no complaint from anyone who used it.
  • The Bank of Russia entry is about the Pocket Option operation. The site's domain is one of hundreds of addresses listed there as ways to reach or promote the broker. The entry makes no separate finding about the site, and IOSCO's alert network has no warning naming it.
  • Affiliate marketing is a lawful business in many countries, and the site's links do lead into the broker's own sign-up system.

None of this changes where the site sends its readers. Nor does it change the steps the site suggests for reaching a broker that is blocked or not available where they live.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

Our view of the site would improve if it:

  • named the company behind it, with a registered address and a working contact;
  • dropped the advice to use a VPN, and removed the editions aimed at countries the broker does not serve;
  • removed the claim that Pocket Option holds licences and the Trustpilot badge, or linked each to a source that supports it;
  • sent readers to brokers authorised by a recognised regulator in their country;
  • no longer appeared on the Bank of Russia list.

It would look worse if the site began taking payments, asking for login details or selling signals or account management, or if a regulator named the people who run it.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

14 questions
Is Pocket Option Guides a scam?

Pocket Option Guides is not a broker and never holds your money, so it cannot take a deposit and refuse to return it. It is still a high-risk affiliate site. It is anonymous, the Bank of Russia lists its original domain among Pocket Option's websites, and it steers readers to an offshore broker that the UK FCA says is not authorised.

Is Pocket Option Guides a fraud?

We found no evidence of fraud by Pocket Option Guides itself. It takes no payments and collects no login details. Its job is marketing: it sends readers to Pocket Option through tracked affiliate links. The concerns are the broker it promotes and the misleading claims it makes to do so.

Is Pocket Option Guides the official Pocket Option website?

No. Its footer calls it an unofficial Pocket Option partner website, and its terms say it is not the official site. Its headings, logo and page titles use the Pocket Option name, so it is easy to mistake for the broker.

Is Pocket Option Guides regulated?

No. Its own terms say it is not regulated by any financial authority. It needs no trading licence because it does not handle client money. It still promotes a broker to readers in countries where that broker is not authorised.

Can I deposit or withdraw money through Pocket Option Guides?

No. The site has no deposit page and no account area. Every button sends you to the broker's registration page, so any money you deposit goes to Pocket Option, not to this site.

Who owns Pocket Option Guides?

The site does not say. It names no company, address or contact, and its domain ownership is hidden behind a privacy service. No UK company called Pocket Option Guides is registered at Companies House.

Why does pocketoptionguides.com open potradinglearn.com?

The site has moved. pocketoptionguides.com now forwards to potradinglearn.com, a domain registered on 24 September 2026 through the same registrar and Cloudflare nameservers, and the site's terms were updated the same day. The old domain is the one named on the Bank of Russia list.

Why is the site on the Bank of Russia warning list?

The Bank of Russia keeps an entry on PO Trade and Pocket Option, classed as showing signs of an illegal professional securities market participant. The entry lists hundreds of websites tied to that operation, and pocketoptionguides.com is one of them.

Is Pocket Option, the broker this site promotes, regulated?

The UK FCA warns that PocketOption is not authorised and may be targeting people in the UK. IOSCO's alert network also lists warnings from regulators in Australia, Israel, the USA, Brazil, Spain, Italy and elsewhere. Pocket Option's own terms name no licence or regulator and are governed by the law of Costa Rica.

The site says to use a VPN if Pocket Option is blocked. Should I?

No. A block usually means the broker is not allowed to serve your country. If you get around it with a VPN, you have no local regulator, ombudsman or compensation scheme to turn to if something goes wrong.

How old is Pocket Option Guides?

Its first domain, pocketoptionguides.com, was registered on 9 September 2023, and archived copies show the same site from February 2024. No company stands behind it, so its track record is only that of the website.

Is the deposit bonus or promo code worth using?

The codes are part of the affiliate funnel. Pocket Option's terms let it reset trading results for bonus speculation and other trading it judges abusive, so read the bonus rules before you deposit. A bonus is never a good reason to choose a broker that no recognised regulator supervises.

What should I do if I lost money after signing up through this site?

Keep every payment record and message, ask your bank or card issuer about a chargeback, and report the broker to your national regulator. Be wary of anyone who offers to recover your money for an upfront fee, because that is a common follow-up scam.

What should I check before using a broker guide like this?

Check the broker on your own national regulator's register rather than trusting badges or review scores shown on the guide. Look for a named company behind the guide and a clear statement that it is paid for referrals.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

Do not open a trading account through this site's links.

  • Treat its bonus codes, ratings and licence wording as marketing, not as proof that the broker is safe.
  • Check any broker on your own national regulator's register before depositing. Pocket Option is on the FCA's warning list, not its register.
  • Do not use a VPN to reach a broker that is blocked or not offered where you live. You would have no local regulator, ombudsman or compensation scheme to fall back on.
  • If you already signed up, the site holds none of your money. Any dispute is with Pocket Option.
  • If you lost money, keep every payment record and message, contact your bank or card issuer, and report the broker to your national regulator. Ignore anyone who offers to recover funds for an upfront fee.

This is an independent assessment of risk, not a legal ruling. Scores and verdicts follow the Wikilix broker-safety methodology and can change as new evidence appears. Review scores are treated with caution when a broker’s reviews look manipulated. Last reviewed October 23, 2026.
