Broker Summary
Summary of the broker
In an increasingly competitive forex/cfd market the introduction of new brokers with innovative solutions and attractive promises of success is prevalent.
New Broker? PROXTREND was established in 2024 in the Comoros Islands as an innovative broker with advanced technology and tailored strategies.
Transparency and Regulatory Compliance are critical to all new and emerging brokers given that they operate in a highly regulated financial industry. The review of PROXTREND outlines the company's history, products and services, Regulatory Status, Trading Environment, Fees and Overall Credibility in order for Traders to make more informed decisions.
Background and History
PROXTREND is a brand of Proxtrend Limited, registered in the Comoros Islands. While the company is a new entrant to the market, very little data is available on PROXTREND founders/ownership/corporate management. Therefore, the lack of transparency raises questions regarding the governance and credibility of PROXTREND, which does not have a history of operations and growth as is associated with established brokers.
Key Features and Offerings
Trading Instruments
The main instruments available for trading on the PROXTREND platform include Forex and CFDs, as well as a small selection of commodities and indices. However, the broker has not published a comprehensive list of the available instruments.
Account Types
PROXTREND has four types of accounts for clients — Basic, Gold, Platinum and VIP. Due to the limited information published on the differences between the account levels, it is difficult to determine the unique benefits of each. What Is Included?
The company has included several types of value-added services (other than trading) to exist alongside traditional trading, such as Investment Strategy Development; Current Events and Trends Analysis; Teaching Clients How to Invest; and Offering CRM and Marketing Tools for Businesses. This tells us that the company is likely targeting Business clients as well.
What Are the Trading Platforms Used by Company?
One of the things that the company heavily markets is the use of the latest technologies for trading. The company, however, has not chosen any of the more popular industry-standard trading platforms such as MetaTrader 4 or 5. As such, the absence of any important information regarding the trading platform and/or demo accounts may discourage traders from using the PROXTREND Company in the near future; many traders are already familiar with MetaTrader and would like to practice without risk.
Regulatory Compliance
Regulation is one of the primary factors of trust when researching a broker. At this time, there are no prominent financial regulatory governing authorities that have licensed PROXTREND. Because Comoros has no true regulatory authority for protecting Investors, the current regulations cannot be considered as protecting an international investor. Additionally, although there may be some claim of being regulated by MISA, no verification has been made to date internationally, nor are there any licenses currently in place with any of the three leading International Financial Regulatory Authorities (FCA, ASIC, SEC, CYSEC); therefore it can be assumed that PROXTREND has no regulation.
Trading Conditions & Trading Platform Technology
Trading Conditions
The broker does offer leverage of up to 1:100, however, the broker has not provided any key information to the trader, including details of spreads, minimum deposit amounts, and complete breakdown of fees & miscellaneous. Therefore, while trading commissions do not exist at this time, the same cannot be said for any ATM transaction, and inactivity transactions, the amount of these fees will be listed when they become available to the trader.
Trading Platform Technology
At this time, the broker has not officially confirmed the ability to trade on mobile devices; (No announcements have been made about any trading tools or pending announcements of future trading tools); and, there is no mention as to whether the trading platform of the broker is open/transparent.
Fee Structure
There is no charge for the deposit, but withdrawal and inactivity fees are currently still unknown, which could potentially reduce a trader's profitability. As a result, it is difficult to determine all of the costs associated with using this broker.
User Experience & Market Reputation
Numerous independent reviews from several different independent sources indicate the average trader's experience has not been a good one. There are several sources showing popular frustrations, such as, delayed withdrawals, required high minimum deposits, lack of transparency and limited means to communicate with the broker. There is only e-mail and/or contact form submission available; therefore, there is no ability to speak to Customer Support or Live Chat Services. For these reasons, many sources have alleged that PROXTREND is at risk for fraud.
Recent Development(s)
To date, there has not been a single substantial (or positive) development (increase in Regulation, an increase in Trading Platforms Additions, or any further Operation Visibility improvements) since the inception of PROXTREND. In fact, PROXTREND continues to be subject to scrutiny with an increased number of complaints regarding its operations from customers.
Summary
While the offering of numerous trading services by PROXTREND appears enticing, the fact that it is fairly recently created, has no credible Regulatory Licences nor has it produced a valid outline showing its current operation; therefore, may be highly warning, even though PROXTREND has stated that they do not charge commissions for trades and they offer several accounts to potential clients, traders should consider all of the risks associated with using an unregulated and relatively unknown broker.
