Regulation
4/10 · ModerateA genuine Bappebti brokerage licence plus an alternative trading system licence, both read off the regulator's own register, offset by a documented suspension in the history and by the licence now running under a different company name.
Identity & transparency
3/10 · LowThe entity, its address, its licence numbers, its registered representatives and all five of its former names are published by the regulator itself, though the brand was retired without any notice reachable at its old address.
Withdrawals & conduct
3/10 · LowNo fund integrity complaints of any kind were found, and client money sits in segregated bank accounts named on the register, but with no client feedback at all we cannot affirm that withdrawals worked.
Reputation
5/10 · ModerateNo client reviews exist in either direction on any platform we swept; the only community discussion was job applicants questioning recruitment emails, and one directory's negative rating rests on a factual error about the licence.
Website claims
4/10 · ModerateNo false claims found, and the successor site's licence numbers and address match the register exactly, but the original site is gone so its live claims could not be audited.
Operational history
5/10 · ModerateA verified company track record back to 2011 with a roughly five year domain leg, weighed against five brand changes and a regulatory suspension inside that period.

Why we reached this verdict
How the evidence adds up.
Two things pull in opposite directions here, and the honest answer sits between them.
- The regulation is real. We opened Bappebti's own register and found licence 93/BAPPEBTI/SI/12/2011 alongside an alternative trading system licence 002/BAPPEBTI/SPA/06/2021. Bappebti is Indonesia's statutory futures regulator, part of the Ministry of Trade. The register also names five registered representatives and the segregated bank accounts that hold client money. This is not a fake licence and it is not somebody else's licence.
- The brand is gone. Prudent Internasional Berjangka appears nowhere on Bappebti's current list of licensed brokers as an active name. It appears only as one link in a chain of former names. The licence now sits with PT Prima Investama Berjangka.
- The domain has been abandoned. prudent-ib.com does not exist in the .com registry at all. It was not simply switched off, it was given up. That is a practical danger, because a dropped domain of a formerly licensed broker is exactly the kind of address a fraudster buys to inherit its search results.
- There is a regulator action in the history. On 27 October 2020 Bappebti published a notice lifting the suspension of this company's futures brokerage activity, naming it as PT Prudent Internasional Berjangka, formerly PT Millennium Prudent Futures. A suspension had therefore been in force. It was lifted after the company increased its paid up capital and completed its management structure. A rename does not erase that, so we score it here.
- We could not find one client. We swept Trustpilot, Indonesian forums, general Indonesian language searches and a third party broker directory. There are no withdrawal complaints, no fund disputes, and equally no positive reviews. The only community discussion we found was a 2020 to 2022 forum thread from job applicants asking whether recruitment emails from the company were genuine, which tells us nothing about how clients were treated.
- How we got to 65. Scored purely on what we found, this report came out at about 39 percent. Because a sweep of more than two platforms turned up no client record of any kind, our rules raise the published figure to 65. We want to be plain about what that means: it reflects an operation we cannot check on, not misconduct we uncovered. We found no theft, no fake licence and no impersonation.
- One caution on age. The 2011 incorporation date comes from the company's own corporate profile and is supported by the December 2011 licence date, but we could not open the Indonesian corporate registry entry to confirm it independently.
Evidence ledger
Every finding, with its source and how strongly it points.
E1Indonesia's futures regulator lists licence 93/BAPPEBTI/SI/12/2011 against a company whose recorded former names include PT Prudent Internasional Berjangka. The current registered name is PT Prima Investama Berjangka. The entry gives the South Jakarta address, phone, email and website.
Hard proofBappebti futures broker registerE2The same register entry records a second permission, alternative trading system licence 002/BAPPEBTI/SPA/06/2021, which is the authorisation that covers over the counter forex and derivative contracts in Indonesia.
E3Bappebti published a notice on 27 October 2020 headed as the lifting of the suspension of futures brokerage activity in the name of PT Prudent Internasional Berjangka, formerly PT Millennium Prudent Futures. A suspension had therefore been imposed on this exact entity before that date.
E4The register records segregated client accounts at Bank Central Asia and Bank Capital Indonesia in both rupiah and US dollars, and names five registered futures broker representatives.
ModerateBappebti futures broker registerE5Bappebti's complete list of licensed futures brokers contains no active licensee called Prudent Internasional Berjangka. The name appears only inside the former name chain of PT Prima Investama Berjangka, confirming the brand has been retired.
E6A DNS lookup for prudent-ib.com returns no record at all, and the .com registry holds no entry for it. The domain was not merely switched off, it was given up and is available to anyone.
ModeratePublic DNS resolverE7Archived captures of prudent-ib.com run from 8 December 2021 to 31 August 2023 and stop there, matching a brand that operated for roughly two years before being renamed.
ModerateInternet Archive snapshot indexE8The site of the company that now holds the licence publishes the identical licence numbers 93/BAPPEBTI/SI/12/2011 and 002/BAPPEBTI/SPA/06/2021, the same South Jakarta address, and states the company was founded in Jakarta on 25 July 2011.
E9A sweep of Trustpilot, Indonesian language web searches and a third party broker directory produced no client complaints about withheld funds and no positive client reviews either. The client record is empty in both directions.
E10The only community thread we found naming the company, opened in September 2020 with 14 replies and about 4,400 views, consists of job applicants asking whether interview invitations from the company were genuine. It contains no client complaints about money.
E11A third party broker directory records this operation as having no forex licence and rates it accordingly. That is contradicted by the regulator's own register, so we treated the directory as a lead only and did not rely on it.
WeakA third-party broker directoryE12Our own broker record lists this firm with no licences and a status of unregulated. The regulator's register refutes that, which makes our record the thing that needs correcting rather than the broker.
The other side
The strongest case in this broker’s favour.
The case for this being a straightforward, legitimate firm is strong, and we want it on the record.
- The licence is verified at the source. We did not take it from an aggregator or from the company's marketing. We opened Bappebti's own entity page and read the licence numbers off it.
- Bappebti requires client funds to sit in segregated accounts, and its register names those accounts at Bank Central Asia and Bank Capital Indonesia. That is a real protection an offshore shell does not offer.
- The name changes are all disclosed by the regulator itself, printed in full on the public register. A firm hiding its past does not have its history published by the government.
- The 2020 suspension was lifted, not escalated. The reasons given were capital and management shortfalls, which the company fixed. That is a supervisor doing its job, not a fraud finding.
- The company still exists and still trades under Bappebti supervision as PT Prima Investama Berjangka, publishing the same licence numbers and the same registered address. This is a rename, not a disappearance with client money.
- The absence of complaints is genuinely an absence. We looked and found nothing bad. Indonesian futures brokers rarely have Trustpilot pages, so a thin review footprint is less unusual here than it would be for a global online broker.
- One third party directory records this operation as unregulated. That is simply wrong, and we discounted it, because the government register contradicts it directly.
What would change this
What we would need to see to revise the verdict.
Specific things that would move this report in either direction.
- Lower the risk: credible client accounts, on any platform, of deposits and withdrawals being handled normally during the years the Prudent brand traded.
- Lower the risk: an Indonesian corporate registry entry confirming the 25 July 2011 incorporation date and the ownership behind the entity.
- Lower the risk: a public notice from the company or from Bappebti explaining the transition to PT Prima Investama Berjangka to former clients.
- Raise the risk sharply: anyone registering prudent-ib.com again and running a trading site on it. That would be a new operation wearing a retired licensed brand, and we would treat it as impersonation.
- Raise the risk sharply: any Bappebti notice suspending or revoking licence 93/BAPPEBTI/SI/12/2011 under the current name.
- Raise the risk sharply: two or more independent, dated, specific reports of withdrawals being refused or of extra payments being demanded before funds were released.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about this broker’s safety.
Is Prudent Internasional Berjangka a scam?
We found no evidence of a scam. It was a genuinely licensed Indonesian futures broker supervised by Bappebti. However, the brand is retired and its website is gone, so any site using the name today is not the licensed firm.
Is Prudent Internasional Berjangka regulated?
The legal entity holds Bappebti futures brokerage licence 93/BAPPEBTI/SI/12/2011 and alternative trading system licence 002/BAPPEBTI/SPA/06/2021. We confirmed both on Bappebti's own register. The register now records them under the name PT Prima Investama Berjangka.
Why is the risk score 65 percent if the licence is real?
The evidence we gathered scored about 39 percent. Our rules raise the published figure when a sweep of several platforms turns up no client record at all, which is the case here. The 65 percent reflects how little can be checked, not misconduct we found.
What happened to the prudent-ib.com website?
It no longer exists. A DNS check returns no record and the domain is absent from the .com registry, meaning it was given up rather than just taken offline. Archived copies show it was live from around December 2021 until August 2023.
Was this company ever suspended by the regulator?
Yes. Bappebti published a notice on 27 October 2020 lifting the suspension of its futures brokerage activity, naming it as PT Prudent Internasional Berjangka, formerly PT Millennium Prudent Futures. Reports at the time said the suspension was lifted after the company increased its paid up capital and completed its management structure.
Why does the company have so many former names?
Bappebti's register lists the chain in full: PT Optima Capital Futures, then PT Millennium Prudent Futures, then PT Prudent Internasional Berjangka, then PT Universe Synergy Futures, and now PT Prima Investama Berjangka. The licence number stayed the same throughout. Frequent renaming is legal but makes a firm harder for clients to follow.
Can I still withdraw money from an old account?
The licence and the company continue under the name PT Prima Investama Berjangka at the same registered address in South Jakarta, so that is where an enquiry about an old account should go. We found no reports of withdrawals being refused under the Prudent name.
Is my money safe with a Bappebti licensed broker?
Bappebti requires client funds to be held in segregated accounts at named banks, and the register lists accounts at Bank Central Asia and Bank Capital Indonesia for this firm. That is real protection, but it is not a compensation scheme, and it only applies if you pay into those named accounts.
Is Prudent Internasional Berjangka a clone of another firm?
No. We found no evidence of impersonation. The licence number, the entity name and the address all match one another on the regulator's register, and no other company's credentials were being used.
Is this company connected to Prudential?
No. Searches for the name return a lot about Prudential, the insurance group, which is an entirely unrelated company. We were careful not to mix the two, and nothing about Prudential appears in this report as evidence.
Why does one broker directory say it is unregulated?
A third party broker directory records the operation as having no licence. That is contradicted directly by Bappebti's own register, which is the primary source, so we discounted the directory's entry.
How old is this operation really?
The company dates to 2011, which matches the December 2011 licence. The Prudent brand website itself was only online from around December 2021 to August 2023. We could not open the Indonesian corporate registry, so the 2011 date rests on the company's own statement plus the licence date.
What should I check before depositing with any Indonesian futures broker?
Look the exact company name up on Bappebti's public list of licensed brokers, confirm the licence number and address match what the website tells you, and only transfer to the segregated bank accounts shown on the register. If the name is not on the list, do not deposit.
What we recommend
The practical takeaway from everything above.
What we suggest, depending on where you stand.
- If a site calling itself Prudent Internasional Berjangka is asking you for money today, stop. The brand is retired and its domain was abandoned. Any site using that name now is not the licensed firm.
- Check the name on the register yourself before depositing with any Indonesian futures broker. Bappebti publishes the full list of licensed brokers, and the entry shows the licence number, the address and the segregated bank accounts.
- If you were a client of the Prudent brand, the licence and the obligations moved with the company to PT Prima Investama Berjangka at the same registered address. That is where to direct an enquiry about an old account.
- Only send money to the segregated bank accounts named on the register. A request to pay a personal account, a third party, or a crypto wallet is a serious warning sign at any Bappebti licensed broker.
- Keep records. Bappebti operates a client complaint route for licensed futures brokers, and dated transfer records and correspondence are what make a complaint work.
- For our own records: our broker page lists this firm as unregulated with no licences, which is wrong, and should be corrected to reflect the Bappebti licences and the rename.
