Regulation
9/10 · CriticalIts only licence, BAPPEBTI 12/BAPPEBTI/SI/02/2013, was revoked by the regulator on 28 May 2021, and it is absent from the current register of licensed futures brokers.
Identity & transparency
4/10 · ModerateThe legal entity and its Jakarta registered address were fully disclosed and match the regulator's own record, which is a genuine mark in its favour; the group's other entities and the now abandoned domain reduce that credit.

Who they are
A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.
Desk file for the operation behind pruton-futures.com.

- Legal entity: PT Pruton Mega Berjangka (Indonesia)
- Registered: Menara Standard Chartered, 32nd floor, Jl. Prof. Dr. Satrio Kav. 164, Jakarta 12930, Indonesia. The same address appears on the regulator's record and on the company's own archived site.
- Website: pruton-futures.com. No longer operated by the company. It is a parked advertising page.
- Only licence: BAPPEBTI futures broker licence 12/BAPPEBTI/SI/02/2013. Revoked on 28 May 2021.
- Also claimed: Jakarta Futures Exchange membership SPAB/160/JFX/01/2013 and Indonesian clearing house membership 79/AK-KBI/III/2013, both tied to the licence that was revoked.
- Offered: spot metals, oil, soft commodities, stock indices and spot foreign exchange on MetaTrader 4, plus a mirror trading programme clients describe as a fixed monthly return product.
- Marketed to: Indonesia and, heavily, Chinese speaking clients. The site ran a full Chinese language section from 2013 until it went dark in 2020.

Why we reached this verdict
How the evidence adds up.
The decisive evidence comes from the Indonesian regulator itself, and it is not ambiguous.
- The regulator pulled the licence. BAPPEBTI published a press release on 28 May 2021 titled, in translation, revocation of the business licence to operate as a futures broker in the name of PT Pruton Mega Berjangka. The firm also sits on BAPPEBTI's standing list of futures brokers whose licence has been revoked, with its licence number and its Jakarta address printed next to it. This is an enforcement outcome, not a lapsed renewal.
- It is not licensed anywhere now. We searched BAPPEBTI's register of licensed futures brokers on 28 August 2026 for Pruton. The register returned no matching records. There is no replacement licence, offshore or otherwise, that we could find.
- Clients say the money did not come back. The complaints we found describe one specific failure, not general grumbling. On 19 December 2019 all mirror trading accounts on the platform showed negative balances. The company put out a video from its chief executive blaming a hacking incident. After that, withdrawal requests were not paid. Separate user reports name losses in the tens and hundreds of thousands of dollars, including one for USD 120,000, dated December 2019 and March 2020.
- The complaints pass the pattern test. Same failure mechanism, clustered in a single window from December 2019 into 2020, posted by different people on more than one platform, and specific enough to check: an exact date, named amounts, a named executive. That is a genuine pattern, not noise.
- The timeline fits a collapse, not a dispute. Client accounts were wiped in December 2019. The exchange froze its membership in September 2020 following a BAPPEBTI suspension decision. The licence was revoked in May 2021 after the company did not fix what it had been told to fix. The website was abandoned in the same period.
- The product itself was a warning sign. Clients describe a minimum entry of USD 10,000 with a fixed monthly return and a lock up period during which they could not take their capital out. A licensed futures broker does not sell guaranteed monthly returns.
One honest limit on our confidence: the Indonesian corporate registry is not publicly searchable, so we could not date the company's incorporation. Its verified history therefore rests on the licence and web records, which start in early 2013.
Note on operating history: the 13.0-year track record rests on company incorporation alone. No domain registration date could be established, so this is an upper bound rather than a confirmed age.

E1PT. PRUTON MEGA BERJANGKA appears on BAPPEBTI's official list of futures brokers whose licence has been revoked, with licence number 12/BAPPEBTI/SI/02/2013 and the address Menara Standard Chartered Lantai 32, Jl. Prof. DR. Satrio Kav. 164, Jakarta 12930. The address and licence number match the company's own published details.
E2BAPPEBTI's own press release dated 28 May 2021, titled in Indonesian as the revocation of the business licence to operate as a futures broker in the name of PT Pruton Mega Berjangka.
Hard proofBAPPEBTI press release archiveE3A search for Pruton on BAPPEBTI's register of currently licensed futures brokers on 28 August 2026 returns no matching records, confirming the firm holds no Indonesian licence today.
E4The downloadable BAPPEBTI announcement document for the 28 May 2021 revocation, published on the regulator's own servers.
E5The company's own archived About page identifies PT. PRUTON MEGA BERJANGKA trading as PRUTON FUTURES at the 32nd floor of Menara Standard Chartered, Jakarta, and lists Jakarta Futures Exchange membership SPAB/160/JFX/01/2013, BAPPEBTI broker licence 12/BAPPEBTI/SI/02/2013 and clearing house membership 79/AK-KBI/III/2013. This locks the identity to the entity the regulator sanctioned.
E6The address in our records now serves a domain parking page operated by a parking company, with generic advertising categories and no broker content. The operation no longer exists at this address.
E7Domain records show pruton-futures.com was registered on 17 October 2025 to a registrar using parking nameservers, meaning the original registration lapsed and the domain was picked up by a third party. The company no longer controls its own web address.
ModerateVerisign RDAP domain recordE8Archive records show the site carried real broker content in Indonesian, English and Chinese from February 2013 until mid 2020, then stopped. By December 2021 the address was redirecting to unrelated advertising, which places the abandonment right after the licence was revoked.
E9Multiple public complaint threads name PT Pruton Mega Berjangka directly and describe the same failure: mirror trading accounts turned negative on 19 December 2019, the company blamed a hacking incident in a video from its chief executive, and withdrawal requests went unpaid afterwards. Reported figures include a USD 10,000 withdrawal request left outstanding for months and a USD 120,000 loss. Clients also describe a minimum USD 10,000 entry with a fixed monthly return and a lock up preventing withdrawal of capital.
E10The firm held genuine Indonesian authorisation for roughly seven years, from licences dated January and February 2013 until the 2021 revocation. This is a real regulated history, and it is the strongest point in the company's favour.
E11No warning-list entry naming pruton-futures.com was found on the searches we ran, and no court judgment or criminal conviction against PT Pruton Mega Berjangka was located. The regulator's published reason for revocation is failure to take corrective steps, not a proven fraud finding.
The other side
The strongest case in this broker’s favour.
The fairest case that can be made for this company, and why it does not hold up.
- It was genuinely licensed once. True, and we say so plainly. BAPPEBTI licence 12/BAPPEBTI/SI/02/2013 and Jakarta Futures Exchange membership SPAB/160/JFX/01/2013 were real. This was a supervised Indonesian futures broker for roughly seven years, not a shell that appeared overnight. That is more than most operations we investigate can show.
- The licence was revoked for failing to remediate, not for a proven fraud. Also true. BAPPEBTI's published reason is that the company did not take corrective steps within the period given after its business activity was suspended. We have not found a court judgment or a criminal conviction against this legal entity, and we do not claim one.
- A trading catastrophe is not automatically theft. If the December 2019 account wipeout really was an external attack, then the losses would be a security failure rather than a scheme. We could not disprove the hacking explanation. What we can say is that no independent confirmation of it ever appeared, and that the money was not returned.
- Some complaints belong to sister brands. The Pruton name was also used by related companies trading as Pruton Capital and PTFX on different domains and under different legal entities. A lot of the angriest material online is about those, not about pruton-futures.com. We have kept them separate and have not scored this broker on their record.
- The operation is dead, so nobody can be harmed by it now. The domain is in the hands of a parking company and there is no live platform. The risk this report describes is historical, plus the risk that the name gets reused by someone else.
Even taken together, these points do not rescue the verdict. A regulator withdrew the firm's permission to operate, and the clients who were in it at the end say they were not made whole.
What would change this
What we would need to see to revise the verdict.
We will revise this report if the facts move. Concretely:
- BAPPEBTI removing PT Pruton Mega Berjangka from its revoked list, or publishing a new licence for it, would change the regulatory finding immediately.
- Public evidence that clients were repaid, for example a completed liquidation or compensation process reported by BAPPEBTI, the exchange or the clearing house, would move the withdrawal and reputation scores down sharply.
- An independent confirmation of the December 2019 hacking explanation, with evidence that client balances were restored, would change how we read that event.
- A court finding that clears the company of wrongdoing would be recorded here.
- Conversely, a criminal conviction or a regulator finding of fraud naming this entity would push this to a confirmed verdict.
- If someone relaunches a broker on this domain or under this brand, we will treat it as a new operation and investigate it on its own facts.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about this broker’s safety.
Is Pruton Futures a scam?
We rate it a likely scam. Indonesia's futures regulator BAPPEBTI revoked the licence of the operating company, PT Pruton Mega Berjangka, on 28 May 2021. Before that, clients reported that their accounts were wiped out in December 2019 and that withdrawals were never paid. The website no longer exists as a broker.
Is Pruton Futures regulated?
No. It held Indonesian licence 12/BAPPEBTI/SI/02/2013 and that licence was revoked. We searched BAPPEBTI's register of licensed futures brokers on 28 August 2026 and there is no Pruton entry. It holds no licence anywhere that we could find.
What happened to Pruton Futures?
Client mirror trading accounts went negative on 19 December 2019 and the company blamed a hacking incident. Its exchange membership was suspended in September 2020 following a BAPPEBTI decision. BAPPEBTI revoked its broker licence on 28 May 2021 after the company failed to make the required corrections. The site was abandoned around the same time.
Can I still withdraw my money from Pruton Futures?
Not through the platform. There is no working website and no licensed operation. Your route is a formal complaint. Indonesian regulators have stated that revoking a licence does not cancel the company's financial obligations to its clients, so document everything and file with BAPPEBTI.
Is the pruton-futures.com website still online?
The address resolves, but it is not the broker. The domain lapsed and was re-registered by a domain parking company on 17 October 2025. What you see now is an advertising page with category links, not a trading site.
Who owned Pruton Futures?
The brand PRUTON FUTURES was the trading name of PT Pruton Mega Berjangka, an Indonesian company registered at Menara Standard Chartered, 32nd floor, Jl. Prof. Dr. Satrio Kav. 164, Jakarta. The Indonesian corporate registry is not publicly searchable, so we could not confirm its shareholders or its incorporation date.
How old was Pruton Futures?
Its licence dates from February 2013, its exchange membership from January 2013, and its website history begins in February 2013. So roughly seven years of real trading operation before it went dark in 2020. We could not date the company's incorporation because the Indonesian registry is not open to public search.
What is BAPPEBTI and does its licence mean anything?
BAPPEBTI is Indonesia's Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency, a real government regulator under the Ministry of Trade. Its licence is meaningful, which is exactly why the revocation matters. This is a supervisor withdrawing permission to operate, not a paperwork expiry.
Is Pruton Futures the same as Pruton Capital or PTFX?
They are related brands but not the same legal entity or website. Pruton Capital and PTFX ran on different domains under different companies. This report covers pruton-futures.com and PT Pruton Mega Berjangka only, and we have not scored it on the record of those other brands.
Is Pruton Futures a clone of another broker?
No. We found no evidence that it used another company's licence number, name or address. Its licence and its registered address were genuinely its own. The problem is that the licence was taken away.
I was contacted by someone offering to recover my Pruton money. Is that safe?
Treat it as a scam until proven otherwise. Recovery offers targeting known victims are one of the most common follow up frauds, and they typically ask for an upfront fee, a tax or a verification payment. No legitimate service asks you to pay money to release your own money.
What should I check before depositing with any Indonesian broker?
Search the exact legal entity name on BAPPEBTI's register of licensed futures brokers, and check the separate list of brokers whose licence was revoked. Confirm the address and licence number match what the broker publishes. Walk away from anyone offering a fixed monthly return, because a licensed futures broker cannot guarantee profits.
Why is this report published if the company is defunct?
Because people still search the name, victims are still looking for answers, and abandoned brands get reused. A clear public record of what happened and what the regulator did is useful in all three cases.
What we recommend
The practical takeaway from everything above.
Do not deposit. There is nothing legitimate to deposit into.
- Treat any website, app, messaging group or salesperson still using the Pruton Futures name as unsafe. The licensed company behind that name lost its licence in 2021 and its website is now a parked advertising page.
- If you are being contacted by someone claiming to be from Pruton Futures, or offering to recover money you lost there, stop. Recovery offers aimed at previous victims are a common follow up scam and usually ask for a fee up front.
- If you had funds with PT Pruton Mega Berjangka, gather your contract, deposit receipts, account statements and correspondence, and file a complaint with BAPPEBTI. Indonesian regulators have said that revocation does not remove the company's obligations to its clients.
- Before using any Indonesian futures broker, check the name yourself on BAPPEBTI's register of licensed futures brokers. It is free and it takes a minute.
- Be careful with the wider Pruton family of names. Related brands were used by different legal entities on different websites, and a familiar name is not evidence of a licence.
