Is QuoMarkets a scam?

High risk (unverified)MEDIUM confidence
Updated August 25, 2026
Offshore regulatory-arbitrage broker with misrepresented licensing

QuoMarkets is a real, working offshore broker, not a clone, but it is high risk: its trading business runs on weak offshore and advice-only permissions while the company that actually holds client money is unregulated.

  • It is part of the TradeQuo group. The Seychelles regulator's own register lists 'QuoMarkets' as a registered trade name of Trade Quo Global Ltd, so this is a genuine group brand, not an impersonator.
  • Its only real trading permission is an offshore Seychelles Securities Dealer licence (SD140), plus a recent, intermediary-only South African FSCA authorisation. Both are low protection.
  • The UAE licence it advertises is an Investment Advisory licence, which does not permit running a retail trading business. Presenting it as 'SCA licensed broker' overstates what it covers.
  • The exact website, quomarkets.com, appears in the IOSCO international investor-alert index, and a minority of users report blocked withdrawals, being told to send more crypto before release, and pressure to delete public complaints.
  • Most of its thousands of five-star reviews look incentivised. Treat any deposit as money you could struggle to withdraw.

Regulation

7/10 · High

Holds a genuine offshore Seychelles Securities Dealer licence and a recent FSCA intermediary authorisation, but the money-taking entity is unregulated and a UAE advisory licence is presented as trading regulation.

Identity & transparency

4/10 · Moderate

Discloses its entities, numbers and addresses, and a real Seychelles office and director are confirmed on the register, though the multi-entity structure conveniently splits licences from the deposit-taking company.

Withdrawals & conduct

6/10 · High

A minority but repeating pattern of blocked withdrawals, forced USDT conversion, requests to deposit more before release and gag-order pressure, across two platforms, amid many working-withdrawal reports.

Reputation

6/10 · High

An IOSCO alert on the exact domain and multiple not-safe ratings sit under a flood of look-alike five-star reviews that appear incentivised.

Website claims

6/10 · High

Advisory-only UAE licence marketed as an SCA-licensed broker, and St. Vincent, Cyprus and Dominica registrations presented as regulation when they are not forex trading licences.

Operational history

3/10 · Low

Genuine multi-year footprint: group domain tradequo.com since 2020, quomarkets.com since 2022, with thousands of reviews.

Licences the broker publishes

Seychelles Financial Services Authority (FSA)

VerifiedTier 3Offshore
Offshore Securities Dealer licence permitting dealing in forex and CFDs, held by sister entity Trade Quo Global Ltd. Confirmed on the FSA register, which lists QuoMarkets as a trade name.
Protection: Low. Offshore licence with weak oversight and no compensation scheme.Official register

Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA), South Africa

VerifiedTier 2Intermediary only
Category I financial services provider authorisation held by TradeQuo (PTY) Ltd, covering shares and derivative instruments as an intermediary. Authorised 20 May 2025. It is not an over-the-counter derivatives provider (market-maker) licence.
Protection: Moderate on paper, but this is an intermediary-only and very recent authorisation, held by a sister entity.

Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), UAE

VerifiedTier 3Advice-only
Investment Advisory licence held by Tradequomarkets Financial Services L.L.C. It permits advice and introductions, not running a retail trading business, but is marketed as an SCA trading licence.
Protection: None for trading. It is an advisory authorisation being presented as broker regulation.

Financial Services Unit (FSU), Commonwealth of Dominica

A money-services / company registration for TRADEQUOMARKETS LTD. Dominica's FSU is not a securities or forex regulator, so this is not a trading licence.
Protection: None. Corporate/MSB registration, not financial-market regulation.

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

We rate QuoMarkets high risk but not a confirmed scam. Here is what we found and why it matters.

  • It is genuinely licensed, but only offshore and only in sister entities. We confirmed on the Seychelles FSA register that Trade Quo Global Ltd holds Securities Dealer licence SD140 and that 'QuoMarkets' is listed there as its trade name. We confirmed on the South African FSCA register that TradeQuo (PTY) Ltd is authorised (FSP 54827), but only as a Category I intermediary for derivatives, and only since 20 May 2025. These are weak, recent, low-protection permissions.
  • The company that takes your money is unregulated. The client agreement combines Quo Markets LLC (unregulated) with the Seychelles entity. So the strong-looking licences sit in one part of the group while another part holds the deposits.
  • The UAE licence is overstated. UAE licence 20200000320 is an Investment Advisory licence. It allows advice and introductions, not running a retail trading book, yet the broker markets it as being an 'SCA licensed broker'.
  • Non-financial registrations are dressed up as regulation. The St. Vincent, Cyprus (company number HE438084) and Dominica entries are company or money-service registrations, not forex trading licences. St. Vincent's authority does not license forex at all.
  • There is a regulator alert on the exact domain. The IOSCO international investor-alert index carries an entry for quomarkets.com.
  • Withdrawal complaints exist under the marketing shine. Against a flood of look-alike five-star reviews, a minority of users on more than one platform describe blocked withdrawals, being pushed to convert to USDT and deposit more before release, and being asked to delete public posts.

Note on operating history: the 6.2-year track record rests on domain registration alone. No company incorporation date could be established, so this is an upper bound rather than a confirmed age.

StrongFinancial Sector Conduct Authority (South Africa)

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

In fairness to QuoMarkets, several things point the other way.

  • This is a real, established operation, not a fake. The group domain tradequo.com has existed since 2020 and the broker has thousands of reviews, so it is not a fly-by-night shell.
  • The Seychelles regulator's register independently confirms the entity, its licence number, a real Seychelles office and a named director, and it lists 'QuoMarkets' as an official trade name. That rules out the clone pattern we most feared.
  • The FSCA authorisation and the UAE licence are genuine records, not invented numbers.
  • Many users report smooth deposits, trading and withdrawals over months, and the firm does respond to complaints.
  • Offshore licensing and high leverage are legal business choices, not proof of fraud on their own.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

Our view would move if any of the following turned up.

  • Toward safer: the group moving retail clients onto a genuine dealing licence from a strong regulator, or the UAE and marketing pages correctly describing the advisory licence as advice-only.
  • Toward safer: the IOSCO/regulator alert on quomarkets.com being withdrawn, and a clean, verifiable record of withdrawals being paid without extra-deposit demands.
  • Toward scam: a national regulator publishing a warning naming quomarkets.com for fraud, a clear pattern of clients being told to pay a tax or fee before funds are released, or the Seychelles or FSCA licences being suspended or withdrawn while still advertised.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

12 questions
Is QuoMarkets a scam?

We did not find proof of outright fraud, so we do not call it a confirmed scam. But it is high risk. It relies on weak offshore permissions, the company that holds your money is unregulated, and there are credible withdrawal complaints. Deposit only what you can afford to lose.

Is QuoMarkets regulated?

Only lightly. A sister company holds a genuine but low-tier Seychelles Securities Dealer licence (SD140), and another holds a recent South African FSCA intermediary authorisation. It has no licence from a strong regulator like the FCA, ASIC or CySEC.

What is the UAE SCA licence QuoMarkets advertises?

It is licence 20200000320, an Investment Advisory licence. It allows advice and introductions, not running a retail trading business. Presenting it as a full trading licence overstates what it covers.

Can I get my money out of QuoMarkets?

Many users report normal withdrawals, but a minority describe blocked withdrawals, being told to convert to USDT and deposit more first, and pressure to delete complaints. Test with a small withdrawal before trusting it with larger sums.

Is my money safe with QuoMarkets?

There is limited protection. Your account is likely with an unregulated offshore entity, and offshore Seychelles regulation does not offer the deposit safeguards or compensation schemes that top-tier regulators require.

Is QuoMarkets a clone of another broker?

No. The Seychelles regulator's register lists 'QuoMarkets' as a genuine trade name of Trade Quo Global Ltd, so it is a real group brand, not an impersonator of another firm.

Who owns and operates QuoMarkets?

It is run by the TradeQuo group. The main entity behind quomarkets.com is TRADEQUOMARKETS LTD in Dominica, with sister companies in Seychelles, South Africa, the UAE, St. Vincent and Cyprus.

How old is QuoMarkets?

The group domain tradequo.com dates to 2020 and the quomarkets.com brand to 2022, so it has a genuine multi-year track record. Several of its licences and companies, however, are from 2023 to 2025.

What is a Seychelles FSA Securities Dealer licence worth?

It is a real licence but a low-tier, offshore one. It permits dealing in forex and CFDs but comes with far weaker oversight and client protection than a major regulator, so it should not be read as strong safety.

Is there a regulator warning about QuoMarkets?

Yes. The IOSCO international investor-alert index carries an entry for the exact domain quomarkets.com. That is a signal to be cautious.

Why does QuoMarkets have so many five-star reviews?

The reviews skew heavily to five stars in a pattern that suggests incentivised or coordinated posting. A flood of generic praise is not the same as proof that withdrawals are reliable.

What should I check before depositing with QuoMarkets?

Confirm which legal entity your account is with, read the withdrawal terms, avoid any request to pay a fee or send more crypto to release funds, and make a small test withdrawal first. If in doubt, choose a broker regulated by a top-tier authority.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

Treat QuoMarkets as high risk and protect yourself before depositing.

  • Understand that your account is likely with an unregulated offshore entity, so there is little practical recourse if funds are held.
  • Do not treat the UAE 'SCA' badge as trading protection. It is an advisory licence.
  • If you must try it, deposit only a small amount and test a full withdrawal before adding more.
  • Never send additional crypto or pay any 'fee', 'tax' or 'unlock' charge to release a withdrawal. That is the advance-fee pattern.
  • If you are already stuck, keep records, raise a chargeback with your card provider, and report to your national regulator.
