Quotex advertises zero fees in five languages. Its contract charges 1% of your balance every day once an account sits idle for 180 days. It also lets Quotex take money from your account, and from a relative's account. The contract says you cannot demand it back.

What the documents say

16 clauses worth knowing about, worst first, each quoted from Quotex's own files

01

Leave your account without a trade for 180 days and Quotex starts taking 1% of your balance every day, never less than $1 a day. Clause 7.27 sets no end to it.

Why this matters

A daily charge, not a monthly one, empties a forgotten account inside a few months. Nothing in the contract makes Quotex warn you before the first deduction.

Exhibit 1CriticalHarder than usual1%New

In case the Client has not performed operations on the account (including trading operations) for 180 days or more, a daily account maintenance fee of 1% of the Client's current balance, but not less than $1 (one) American dollar, is charged from the Client's account.

What it costsA dormant account holding $1,000 loses $10 on the first day. At 1% a day the balance falls below $500 in about ten weeks, and the $1 minimum keeps taking what is left.

02

Where Quotex forms the opinion that you acted to damage the company, clause 7.13 lets it take money straight out of your account and keep it. Clause 7.16 says you have no right to ask for it back.

Why this matters

The test is Quotex's own opinion, not a finding by anyone else. Quotex can also end the agreement while keeping what you paid in, so your deposit is at stake and not only your profit.

Exhibit 5CriticalHarder than usual

The Company reserves the right to stop the execution by the Client of any kind of actions, both in the personal account and the Trading terminal, at any stage of their execution, if there were recorded actions aimed, in the opinion of the Company, to cause damage to the Company. The Company has the right to debit funds from the Client's account in favor of the Company.

Quotex promises 0% commission and no fees on its Spanish, French, Arabic, Bengali and Hausa pages. Its contract charges 1% a day on idle accounts, 3% on repeated withdrawals, and lets Quotex change any charge whenever it likes.

Why this matters

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA or CySEC must disclose costs and charges to a retail client before that client trades. Quotex prices its charges in a separate English PDF while the pages selling the account say there are none.

Quotex is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 10The advertised zero covers a fee list Quotex can rewrite at any time without telling you.
04

When you complain, clause 9.7 makes Quotex's server logs beat any evidence you bring. Quotex can freeze your trading while it decides, and the answer can take 60 calendar days.

Why this matters

You argue against records only Quotex holds, in front of Quotex, with your account locked. It can also refuse the complaint outright if it judges your wording disrespectful.

Quotex headlines these landing pages "Germany: favourable conditions for traders" in five languages. Clause 4.2.2 makes you guarantee you do not live in Germany, and the footer of the same pages closes the service to the whole European Economic Area.

Why this matters

Open an account on the strength of that headline from a barred country and you have broken a guarantee you gave at registration. Quotex can then block the account under its own breach clauses.

Our readingBrokers usually keep the marketing and the barred list apart. Here the promise and its contradiction sit on one page: the headline names Germany and the footer of that same page excludes the European Economic Area.

Quotex can take what it says it lost from your account and from accounts belonging to people connected to you. Its own definition covers any degree of kinship, anyone living at your address, and anyone using the same device.

Why this matters

Someone else's dispute with Quotex can reach your balance because you share a surname, a flat or a laptop. You are not a party to that dispute and get no say in it.

Our readingRecovering one person's debt from another person's account is a commercial lending device. Pointed at retail balances it means a family member's loss can be deducted from money you deposited.

Your deposit has a route home and your winnings do not

Clause 4.11 of the Quotex Payment Policy says income above your deposit comes out only through a procedure agreed between the parties, and never describes that procedure. Quotex takes 7 days to decide a withdrawal and 14 in some cases, and it picks the method and the currency.

Getting paid1 clause flagged

Where your income is larger than your deposit, clause 4.11 says you can only take the excess out through a procedure agreed between you and Quotex. The Payment Policy never sets out what that procedure is.

Why this matters

Your deposit has a documented route home and your winnings do not. Quotex also gets 14 days to answer a withdrawal request, and it decides what agreement means.

Exhibit 9CriticalRarely seen14 days

If the Client's income exceeds the amount of deposit, it is possible to withdraw such income to the Client's External Account only in a specially established procedure agreed by the Parties, and if the Client has made a deposit to his account in a certain way, the Company has the right to withdraw the previous deposit by the Client in the same way.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA or CySEC must return client money promptly on request and hold it apart from their own. This contract makes the return of profit depend on a procedure it never describes.

Quotex is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

Our readingMost payment policies apply one process to the whole balance. Splitting it into a deposit you can withdraw and profit that needs a separate, undescribed agreement puts the winnings outside the written rules.

Quotex can take money from your account and from your family's

Clause 7.13 lets Quotex debit your account in its own favour where it forms the opinion you caused it damage, and clause 7.16 removes your right to ask for the money back. Clause 7.12.11 extends that reach to connected people, defined to include any relative and anyone at your address. A second account makes both balances unwithdrawable under clause 1.30.

Money already yours1 clause flagged

You are allowed one account. If Quotex decides several accounts belong to you, clause 1.30 lets it block them, and says the money in them is not withdrawable by you at all.

Why this matters

There is no fine, no warning and no route back. The clause does not make Quotex prove the accounts are yours, or say it will ever release the funds.

Exhibit 6CriticalRarely seen1

The Client registers only one Account with the Company. If the Company detects several Accounts belonging to one Client, the Company has the right to block such Accounts, while the funds of these accounts are not subject to withdrawal by the Client.
Clause 1.30 in Service Agreement, p.5
Read from the broker's site on Open the reference

Where it sits: section 8 of 38 in the Service Agreement, near the start.

Our readingOne account per client is standard. Making the balance permanently unwithdrawable, rather than closing the duplicate, is not, because the penalty falls on money that was never in dispute.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 7Accounts count as connected through kinship, a shared address or a shared device, so two people in one household can trigger this.

Quotex prices three charges its marketing pages never mention

A 3% fee applies from the third withdrawal in one calendar day under clause 7.28. Clause 4.6 of the Payment Policy lets Quotex set every commission and the conversion rate, change them at any time, and pay you at a rate that need not match the market.

Cost disclosure2 clauses flagged

Take money out three times in one calendar day and Quotex can charge 3% of every withdrawal after the second, under clause 7.28.

Why this matters

You pay this by splitting a withdrawal into parts, which is what people do when a payment method caps the amount or a first request comes back short.

Exhibit 2WarningHarder than usual3%New

Starting from the third successful withdrawal within the same calendar day, the Company reserves the right to charge a fee amounting to 3% of the withdrawn sum for each subsequent successful transaction.

What it costsThree withdrawals of $500 in one day cost you $15 on the third. A fourth that day costs another $15.

Where your account currency differs from the currency you are paid in, Quotex converts at its own rate. Clause 4.6 says that rate can change at any time and may differ from the market rate.

Why this matters

A conversion at a rate the broker picks is a fee you never see itemised. You cannot check it against anything, because the contract says it need not match the market.

The 30% bonus disappears the moment you withdraw

Quotex advertises a 30% bonus on a first deposit of $100 or more. Clause 1.28 lets it debit every bonus it credited as soon as you move any of your own money out, and clause 7.12.5 treats quick profit from bonus funds as dishonest use.

The welcome offer1 clause flagged

The landing pages offer a 30% bonus on a first deposit of $100 or more. Clause 1.28 lets Quotex take back every bonus it credited as soon as you withdraw any of your own money.

Quotex rewrites the contract without telling you

Clause 2.4 lets Quotex amend the agreement and its annexes at any time with no notice, and clause 2.6 counts you as having accepted. Clause 12.4 asks you to visit the website weekly to find out what changed. Clause 2.5.4 pulls in any other document Quotex later posts.

Changing the deal1 clause flagged

Quotex can rewrite the agreement and its annexes at any time without telling you, under clause 2.4. Clause 12.4 puts the duty on you to visit the website at least once a week to find out what changed.

Clause 8.3.3 sends every dispute to the courts of St. Kitts and Nevis. The counterparty changed since 2021, from Awesomo LTD of the Seychelles to ON SPOT LLC GROUP, with no explanation in the documents. Clause 12.8 lets Quotex transfer your contract to a third party without asking.

In plain words

On a principal basis, as your counterparty, means the broker takes the other side of your trade itself. Your loss is then the firm’s gain, so it has an interest in how your trade ends.

Where you would sue1 clause flagged

Any claim against Quotex belongs to the courts of St. Kitts and Nevis. The company you contract with changed since 2021, from Awesomo LTD in the Seychelles to ON SPOT LLC GROUP, and no document explains the move.

Quotex can ask for any document and take 30 working days

The Payment Policy lets Quotex request any document at its own discretion, gives you 5 days to produce it, and allows up to 30 working days to review it. Card deposits cannot be withdrawn until the card is verified, and clause 5.5 suspends trading until you comply.

Verification1 clause flagged

Quotex can demand any document at its own discretion, gives you 5 days to supply it, and can take up to 30 working days to check it. Card deposits stay unwithdrawable until the card itself is verified.

Why this matters

Your money sits still while the review runs, and clause 5.5 lets Quotex suspend all trading until you comply. You also consent to your data being processed for 75 years.

Exhibit 13WarningHarder than usual30 working days

The verification process takes up to 10 working days from the date the Company sends a notification to the Client about the need to confirm his personal data. In some cases, this period may be increased up to 30 (thirty) working days at the discretion of the Company.

Quotex takes the other side and picks which trades happen

Clause 5.11 lets Quotex refuse any trade you place without notice and without a reason. Clause 1.26 lets it refuse an early close on the same terms. Where the terminal and the server disagree about your result, clause 7.18 gives the server the final word.

Who decides1 clause flagged

Clause 5.11 lets Quotex refuse to execute any trade you place, without notice and without giving any reason. Clause 1.26 lets it refuse to close a trade early on the same terms.

Why this matters

Quotex is the other side of your trade and also decides which of your trades happen. Where its terminal and its server disagree about your result, clause 7.18 says the server wins.

Exhibit 14WarningHarder than usual

What stands behind it1 clause flagged

Neither document names a financial regulator, a licence number, or a scheme that would pay you if Quotex failed. Clause 1.5 of the Payment Policy caps what Quotex owes you at whatever your balance says.

Who the contract is with

ON SPOT LLC GROUP

The Service Agreement names ON SPOT LLC GROUP of Main Street, P.O. Box 625, Charlestown, St. Kitts and Nevis as the company you contract with. The marketing pages print the same address under a different name, ON SPOT GROUP LLC. The 2021 version of the agreement named a different company in a different country, Awesomo LTD of Victoria, Mahe, Seychelles, and no document explains the move. The Payment Policy, which governs your deposits and withdrawals, names no company at all.

Quotations are copied verbatim from the documents named above, with the clause number and the page each one came from. Where a clause is quoted in another language, the original is shown first and the English is a translation.

The plain-language parts, what a clause means for a client, how ordinary it is, and how it reads against a regulated standard, are WIKILIX's analysis and are labelled as such on every card. This is a reading of public documents, not legal advice and not an allegation of wrongdoing.

In fairness, and what we could not check

A reader who knows the edges of the work can trust the middle of it

Both core documents are public PDFs at fixed addresses, and every clause is numbered, so you can cite the exact term back to Quotex. The Payment Policy puts real deadlines on withdrawal decisions, 7 days and 14 at the outside, where many brokers leave the clock open. Section 6 gives untraded deposits a named refund route and an email address for it. The barred countries are written out in full rather than hidden behind a vague reference.

We read the Service Agreement and the Payment Policy in full, and five of the localised qxbroker.com pages. We did not read four other localised pages, and no Persian page is quoted here. We did not read the 2021 Payment Policy, so we compare only the Service Agreement against its 2021 version. Parts of the current Service Agreement PDF carry corrupted characters where the original uses joined letters, so we quoted only passages that read cleanly. The Agreement names three annexes as binding parts of your contract, and we did not find any of them published.

How to check any of this yourself

Every quote above links to the Quotex file it came from. This is what to do with it.

Open the three stepsFind the words in the source, work out the fingerprint, and read what a difference does and does not prove.

Open the source and search for the words

Every quote has a link under it. Open the file, or the web page, and search it for the words we quote. The clause number next to the quote tells you where to look.

If the words are not there any more, the source may have changed after we read it. That is worth knowing too. We keep the date we read it, and a code worked out from its wording, so the quote stays checkable.

What a fingerprint is

A fingerprint is a code worked out from what a source says. Change one word and the code changes completely. We keep two codes for every file we read, and the panel on each source shows both.

The first is the code of the exact file we downloaded. The second is the code of its wording alone, with capital letters lowered and runs of spaces collapsed. When the same words are saved as a new file, the first code changes and the second one stays the same.

Only the first code can be worked out on your own computer. Save the file, then run one of these, putting the name of the file you saved where the example is. The panel on each source prints the command with that source's real file name already in it.

macOS or Linux:
  shasum -a 256 the-file-you-saved.pdf

Windows:
  certutil -hashfile the-file-you-saved.pdf SHA256

The two codes are different from each other, and they are not meant to match. Comparing one against the other proves nothing.

What a difference means, and what it does not

A different file code on its own proves nothing. A PDF saved again with a new date inside it is a new file saying exactly the same thing.

A different wording code means the words themselves changed. That is the one that matters, and it is why we keep it.

Even then, a change is not proof of bad faith. Companies update their documents. What this report says is what the document said on the day we read it, and every quote carries that date.

A source that is a web page and not a file has no file to save, so only the code of its wording is shown.

How this report is made

Every clause quoted above comes from a document Quotex publishes on its own website, downloaded and hashed on the date shown, with the clause number and page recorded so any reader can check it. We do not allege anything the documents do not say, and we do not judge Quotex on anything other than its own published terms and its own public marketing. Where a clause has a qualifier that softens it, the report says so. Last read Sep 9, 2026.

If you represent Quotex and a clause has changed, been withdrawn, or is being read out of context, tell us and we will re-read the documents and update this page. Corrections from the broker are welcome and are published with the reading they change. Contact us.

This is a reading of a contract, not legal advice and not a ruling on Quotex. Whether its licence is real and current is a separate check on the broker profile.
