Is SIFX a scam?

High risk (unverified)MEDIUM confidence
Updated August 16, 2026
Offshore broker with disputed withdrawals and undisclosed credit terms

SIFX is not a fake company and not a clone: FXW Global Ltd is a genuinely registered Seychelles company holding a real Securities Dealer licence, and the regulator's own register lists sifx.com as its website. It is still a high risk platform, because the only thing standing between a client and their money is a weak offshore licence, and several clients say they could not get their money out.

  • The Seychelles FSA register lists FXW Global Ltd as a licensed Securities Dealer, with the same address, phone number and website the site itself publishes. The licence is real and it belongs to this operation.
  • Seychelles is a low tier offshore jurisdiction. There is no compensation scheme and no realistic route to get deposits back if the firm refuses to pay.
  • Clients on more than one platform describe repeated withdrawal cancellations, a company credit or bonus that has to be cleared before capital is released, and large percentage charges taken out of transfers.
  • None of those charges, and none of the credit or bonus terms, are published anywhere on the website.
  • The operation is about three years old. The 2002 date on the domain is misleading: that address sat parked and unused for years before this broker took it over.

Regulation

6/10 · High

A genuine Securities Dealer licence confirmed on the Seychelles FSA register with the entity, address and website all matching, but Seychelles is a low tier offshore regulator with no compensation scheme.

Identity & transparency

5/10 · Moderate

The company is real and matches a government registry, yet no owners or directors are named, fund segregation is never addressed, and the two company sites give different office numbers at the same building.

Withdrawals & conduct

7/10 · High

Fund integrity complaints on more than one platform describe the same mechanism, cluster in early 2026 and carry specific amounts and dates, though the total volume is small and part traces to one client.

Reputation

6/10 · High

A very thin footprint that is mostly negative: a single one star review on Trustpilot, 4.4 out of 10 on an independent broker review site, and several promotional articles that read as paid placements.

Website claims

4/10 · Moderate

The licence and entity details on the site are accurate and there is no fake history or profit promise, but the fee schedule and the credit and bonus conditions are not published anywhere.

Operational history

6/10 · High

About three years of real operation on a domain first registered in 2002 that was parked until recently, and the incorporation date could not be established from the Seychelles registry.

A Seychelles Securities Dealer licence, the standard offshore permission to deal in securities and derivatives. It is genuine regulation but light touch, with no investor compensation scheme behind it.

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

We checked the regulator, the company registry, the domain records and the places clients complain. The picture is a real but weakly protected offshore broker with a genuine dispute problem, not an impersonation.

  • The licence checks out, and it is theirs. The Seychelles FSA register lists FXW Global Ltd as a Securities Dealer and records the website as sifx.com, the address as CT House Office 7C and the phone as +248 4377167. All three match what the site publishes. That rules out the most serious possibility, which is a firm wearing another company's credentials.
  • The company is real too. The Seychelles Business Register returns C8434164 FXW GLOBAL LTD, matching the number printed in the footer.
  • But the licence is worth little. Seychelles is a low tier offshore regulator. There is no investor compensation scheme, and the page the broker titles as security discusses data encryption only. It says nothing about segregated client funds or negative balance protection.
  • Clients describe money not coming back. Reports across more than one platform describe the same mechanism: withdrawal requests cancelled repeatedly, a credit or bonus granted by the firm that must be cleared before capital is released, and heavy percentage charges applied to transfers. One account describes twelve rejected withdrawals across three months against a balance of 1,651.22 dollars. A separate reviewer in August 2026 describes 40 percent taken as tax and a further 40 percent for currency conversion. Different people, different countries, different sites, specific figures. That pattern meets four of the four tests we apply before treating complaints as serious.
  • The terms behind those complaints are not published. The deposit and withdrawal page names no fee percentages. The FAQ confirms bonuses are offered but publishes no conditions. A client cannot read, before depositing, the rules that later determine whether they can withdraw.
  • The operation is young, and the domain flatters it. sifx.com was registered in 2002, but archive records show it running domain parking pages rather than a business, and the first certificates for the working site appear in mid 2023. The corporate domain fxw-global.com was registered in February 2023. This is an operation of roughly three years, not twenty four. To their credit, the broker does not claim otherwise anywhere on the site.
  • No regulator has warned about it. We found no entry naming SIFX, sifx.com or FXW Global Ltd on any warning list. That is worth stating, though warning lists lag and absence is not a clean bill of health.

One limit on our confidence: the Seychelles registry publishes no incorporation date and the FSA register publishes no licence number or dates, so the age above rests on domain and certificate records rather than on a corporate filing. It should be read as an estimate.

Note on operating history: the 24.3-year track record rests on domain registration alone. No company incorporation date could be established, so this is an upper bound rather than a confirmed age.

  • E1The Seychelles FSA register lists FXW Global Ltd as a licensed Securities Dealer and records its website as sifx.com, its address as CT House Office 7C Providence Mahe, and its phone as +248 4377167. Every detail matches the operation under review, so the licence belongs to this broker and is not borrowed from another firm.

  • E3The broker's own footer states that SIFX is a brand operated by FXW Global Ltd, registration 8434164-1, regulated by the Seychelles FSA under licence SD157, at CT House Office 7C. It also lists Japan, Canada, the USA and Hong Kong legal persons as restricted.

    ModerateSIFX website
  • E4An independent broker review site rates SIFX 4.4 out of 10 across six user reviews, identifying the operator as FXW Global Ltd at sifx.com. Users report being refused withdrawals, being pressured into trades, spreads far wider than advertised, and support becoming unresponsive.

  • E5The Trustpilot page for sifx.com carries a single review, one star, dated 1 August 2026 from a client in Colombia, alleging that 40 percent is charged as tax on a transfer and a further 40 percent for currency conversion. The company has not claimed the profile and has not replied.

    ModerateTrustpilot
  • E6Archive index records for sifx.com from 2013 to 2017 consist of domain parking scripts and advertising feed pages rather than a business website. The 2002 registration date therefore represents an acquired parked address, not twenty four years of trading history.

    ModerateInternet Archive URL index
  • E7Certificate transparency records for sifx.com show the first certificate for the working site in July 2023, with continuous issuance only from April 2024. This dates the live operation to 2023 rather than to the domain registration year.

  • E10The corporate site repeats the same entity, registration number and licence, but gives the address as CT House Office 9A while the broker's own site and the regulator's register both say Office 7C. A small inconsistency in the company's published address.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

The case for SIFX being a legitimate, if risky, business is stronger than it is for most brokers we review.

  • The clone test passes on every leg. Name, website, address and phone on the regulator's register all match the operation. Most fraudulent brokers fail this immediately.
  • The company exists on a government registry under the exact number the broker prints in its footer.
  • The broker makes no false age claim, publishes no fake awards, promises no guaranteed profits, and carries a proper CFD risk warning. It also discloses restricted jurisdictions, including the United States.
  • The volume of complaints is genuinely small. Several of the reports we found trace back to a single client, and under our own independence rule that counts once, not five times.
  • Some of the withdrawal complaints describe trading losses and charges rather than outright theft, and at least one source reports withdrawals being processed normally.
  • Competitors do plant fake complaints, and a broker this small is an easy target.

An offshore licence is a risk tier, not proof of dishonesty. Hundreds of real brokers operate exactly this way.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

This verdict is not fixed. Specific findings would move it in either direction.

  • Toward safer: the broker publishing its full fee schedule and its credit and bonus conditions before deposit, so clients know the rules that govern withdrawals.
  • Toward safer: a clear pattern of clients confirming completed withdrawals with amounts and dates on independent platforms.
  • Toward safer: the firm answering the outstanding complaints publicly and resolving them.
  • Toward worse: any regulator adding SIFX, sifx.com or FXW Global Ltd to a warning or alert list.
  • Toward worse: credible evidence that clients are asked to send a further payment, described as tax, insurance or a release fee, before their funds are returned. That single finding would change this report substantially.
  • Toward worse: the Seychelles FSA suspending, withdrawing or lapsing the Securities Dealer licence while the site continues to advertise it.
  • Toward worse: a cluster of new withdrawal complaints that shows the January and February 2026 reports were the start of a trend rather than isolated disputes.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

13 questions
Is SIFX a scam?

On the evidence we found, no, not in the sense of a fake company. FXW Global Ltd is a real Seychelles company with a real Securities Dealer licence, and the regulator's register lists sifx.com as its website. It is still high risk, because several clients report being unable to withdraw and the licence offers very little protection if that happens to you.

Is SIFX regulated?

Yes, by the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles, which lists FXW Global Ltd on its Securities Dealer register. The broker quotes the licence number SD157. The register itself does not publish licence numbers, but it does confirm the entity, the address and the website all match this operation.

How good is a Seychelles licence?

It is a low tier offshore licence. It is genuine regulation, but it is much lighter than what the FCA, ASIC or CySEC require. There is no investor compensation scheme, so if the firm refuses to return your money you have no fund to claim against.

Can I withdraw my money from SIFX?

Some clients say yes and some say no. We found reports across more than one platform describing repeatedly cancelled withdrawal requests, a company credit that had to be cleared first, and large percentage charges deducted from transfers. Test a small withdrawal before committing serious money.

Is my money safe with SIFX?

Assume it is at risk. The page the broker titles as security only covers data encryption. It says nothing about keeping client funds in segregated accounts, and there is no compensation scheme behind the Seychelles licence.

Who owns SIFX?

SIFX is a brand of FXW Global Ltd, a Seychelles company registered as C8434164 at CT House, Office 7C, Providence, Mahe. The company does not name its directors, owners or senior management anywhere on its websites.

How old is SIFX?

About three years. The domain sifx.com was first registered in 2002, but archive records show it sat parked and unused for years, and the working site only appears from mid 2023. The company's own corporate domain was registered in February 2023.

Is SIFX a clone of another broker?

No. We checked the licence against the regulator's register and the entity name, website, address and phone number all match this operation. There is no sign that SIFX is using another company's credentials.

Why do people complain about credits and bonuses at SIFX?

Several reports describe being given a credit or bonus by the firm and then being told the capital could not be released until that credit was cleared through trading. The website confirms bonuses are sometimes offered but publishes no conditions, so clients cannot read the rules in advance. The safest course is to decline any credit or bonus.

What fees does SIFX charge on withdrawals?

The site does not say. Its deposit and withdrawal page states only that transaction fees may apply and vary by method and country. One reviewer in August 2026 described 40 percent taken as tax plus a further 40 percent for currency conversion. Ask support for the fee schedule in writing before depositing.

Has any regulator issued a warning about SIFX?

We found no warning or alert naming SIFX, sifx.com or FXW Global Ltd on any regulator list as at August 2026. Warning lists often lag behind by months, so this is reassuring but not proof of safety.

What should I do if SIFX will not release my funds?

Put the complaint in writing to the firm and keep every transaction ID, date, amount and chat transcript. Then complain to the Seychelles Financial Services Authority naming FXW Global Ltd. If you paid by card, ask your bank about a chargeback. Never pay an extra fee to unlock your own money, and avoid anyone offering paid fund recovery.

What should I check before depositing with any offshore broker?

Confirm the licence on the regulator's own register rather than trusting a badge on the site. Check that the entity name and website on the register match the site you are using. Read the withdrawal terms and fee schedule before you pay, decline bonuses, and start with a small deposit you then try to withdraw.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

Treat SIFX as a high risk offshore venue. It is regulated, but not in a way that protects your deposit.

  • Do not deposit money you cannot afford to lose entirely. A Seychelles licence carries no compensation scheme.
  • Refuse any credit, bonus or promotional loan. The clearest complaints we found involve a credit granted by the firm that then had to be cleared before capital could be released.
  • Before depositing, ask support in writing for the full withdrawal fee schedule, including any conversion charge, and keep the reply.
  • Start with the smallest deposit the account allows, then test a withdrawal before adding more.
  • Keep records: transaction IDs, dates, amounts and chat transcripts. These are what make a complaint actionable.
  • If a withdrawal is refused, complain in writing to the firm, then to the Seychelles Financial Services Authority, quoting the entity name FXW Global Ltd.
  • Never pay an additional fee to release your own funds, and ignore anyone who contacts you offering to recover lost money for an upfront payment.
  • If you want the protection of a compensation scheme, choose a broker licensed in a tier one jurisdiction instead.
