Simplex Asset Management

Simplex Asset Management is an independent asset manager headquartered in Tokyo, Japan which was established in 1999. Through transformation from an arbitrage Hedge Fund to multi-strategy institutional focus company, Simplex continues to evolve under the leadership of CEO Hiroshi Mizushima since 2005 and now manages Japanese Equities, Quantitative Strategies, Fixed Income issues and innovative ETF offerings. The company established milestones when it created Japan’s first active ETF's (2023), entered Private Equity Financing (2022) and created Simplex Heritage Family Office in (2024). It manages 1,369 Billion Yen as of September 30th, 2025, with 370 Million Yen in guaranteed capital.

Simplex Asset Management has four main product lines which include institutional investment, ETF's, quantitative, and consulting services; however it does not offer Retail customer trading conditions/platforms as Simplex only offers its products to institutions. Simplex has previously been granted all regulated licenses from the Japanese regulatory authorities and is also an active member of the regulated financial institutions in Japan.

Although there are no public reviews regarding Simplex Asset Management, it is known for its innovative products, especially those involving active ETF's, investment strategies and services relating to the Japanese market.
