Summary of the broker
SOLIDUS Securities ISF Broker Overview
SOLIDUS Securities ISF is the trading name of SOLIDUS SECURITIES ΑΝΩΝΥΜΗ ΕΤΑΙΡΕΙΑ ΠΑΡΟΧΗΣ ΕΠΕΝΔΥΤΙΚΩΝ ΥΠΗΡΕΣΙΩΝ Α.Ε., an Athens based investment services firm incorporated in Greece on 6 December 1999 and trading since February 2000. It is a stockbroker rather than a retail foreign exchange or CFD dealer: it receives and executes client orders in shares, bonds, exchange traded derivatives, mutual funds and ETFs, and it is a trading and clearing member of the Athens Stock Exchange and a member of the Cyprus Stock Exchange. Clients deal through the firm's ZTradePlus platform or, for international markets, through SOLIDUS Global Markets. Pricing is a commission on turnover rather than a dealing spread.
SOLIDUS Securities ISF Regulation and License
The firm states on its own supervision page that it holds operating licence 4/174/26.10.1999 from the Hellenic Capital Market Commission, as amended by decision 9/472/23.05.2008, and that it is subject to that authority's supervision. That is a claim published by the company which this research did not confirm against the authority's own register. The permissions the company describes are those of an investment firm under Greek Law 4514/2018, the Greek transposition of MiFID II: reception and transmission of orders, execution of orders on behalf of clients, portfolio management, investment advice, and placing of financial instruments without a firm commitment basis, with ancillary custody, margin lending, corporate finance advice and foreign exchange services connected to investment services. Dealing on own account is not among them, so the firm does not present itself as a market maker and holds no retail foreign exchange dealing permission.
Is SOLIDUS Securities ISF Regulated?
SOLIDUS Securities ISF presents itself as regulated by the Hellenic Capital Market Commission, and the registered corporate purpose recorded for the company at the Greek commercial registry is the provision of investment services under Law 4514/2018, which is consistent with that claim. Because the claim was not checked against the regulator's own register in this research, it should be read as published by the company and corroborated by the corporate registry, not as independently confirmed regulation. Anyone relying on it should put the licence number to the Hellenic Capital Market Commission directly before depositing.
The operating company is registered in Greece under General Commercial Registry number 3580601000, with tax number 099555553 and Legal Entity Identifier 213800DF88N444TZD357. Its entry at the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry business registry records it as incorporated on 6 December 1999 and in operation, at Louizis Riankour 64, Apollon Tower, Athens. SOLIDUS SECURITIES Investment Services Firm is one of its registered English trade names, so the brand and the legal entity are the same company rather than a marketing front for another one. The firm also reports a 65% holding in SOLIDUS INSURANCE SA, a Greek insurance agency, held since 2014.
Is SOLIDUS Securities ISF Safe?
The firm shows most of the structural protections a European investment firm is expected to have, though none of them is a guarantee. It states that client financial instruments and cash are held separately from its own assets in individually named accounts, that client cash balances sit in client bank accounts at institutions based in the European Union or Switzerland, and that daily reconciliation allocates each client's share pro rata. It reports membership of the Greek investor compensation scheme, which pays up to EUR 30,000 per client where a member firm is found unable to meet its obligations. Its funding page tells clients to send money only to the firm's own named client accounts and never to any other account, even at the request of someone claiming to be connected with the firm. Set against that, the regulatory standing those protections rest on was not verified against the regulator here, and a long operating history is not by itself evidence of current financial soundness.
SOLIDUS Securities ISF Account Types
Opening an account requires a signed investment services agreement, which activates a cash sub-account holding funds and Athens Exchange securities. Further sub-accounts are opened on separate application: Athens Exchange derivatives, the Cyprus Stock Exchange, SOLIDUS Global Securities held in Piraeus custody for international equities and ETFs, and a Eurobank Cyprus sub-account for fixed income. SOLIDUS Global Markets covers worldwide stocks, derivatives, currency pairs and commodities. A knowledge and experience assessment is compulsory before any sub-account dealing in complex instruments or using credit can be activated. Clients are classified as retail, professional or eligible counterparty, and the firm places clients in the retail category by default, which carries the highest level of protection. A digital onboarding route is offered to citizens of the Hellenic Republic only. A separate private banking arrangement places client assets at UBS or J. Safra Sarasin with the firm acting as a secondary adviser.
SOLIDUS Securities ISF Spreads, Commissions and Fees
Costs are commission on turnover, not a dealing spread. On Athens Exchange shares and bonds the firm's commission is up to 1.00% of transaction value with a EUR 1.50 minimum per order, plus a 0.06% clearing fee, with exchange and clearing charges and the 0.10% sale tax passed through. Athens Exchange derivatives are EUR 25 or 1% per futures contract and EUR 25 or up to 7% per options contract, minimum EUR 1.50. Cyprus Stock Exchange dealing is up to 1.00% on the same EUR 1.50 minimum with a 0.06% clearing member fee. Through SOLIDUS Global Markets, stocks are up to 1%, bonds and mutual funds up to 0.50%, currency pairs up to 0.70% and index CFDs up to 0.07%, with minimums from EUR 3 or USD 3. International equities and ETFs through SOLIDUS Global Securities run from 3.5 to 15 basis points on European markets with a EUR 6 to EUR 25 minimum, and 0.75 cents per share on US listed stocks with a EUR 7.50 minimum. Custody is EUR 3.00 a quarter on Athens and Cyprus portfolios averaging EUR 3,000 or more and EUR 1.50 a quarter below that, and 0.12% a year plus VAT on international holdings. The headline 1.00% rate is expensive next to online execution only pricing.
SOLIDUS Securities ISF Leverage
No headline leverage ratio is published. Credit for securities purchases is a short term margin facility requiring 40% initial margin and 30% maintenance margin against the current value of the collateral portfolio, and it is available only after the complex instruments assessment. Margin on exchange traded derivatives is set by the clearing house rather than by the firm.
SOLIDUS Securities ISF Trading Platforms
Electronic dealing runs on ZTradePlus, supplied by Metrictrade and branded SolidusZTradePlus, available on desktop and as Android, iOS and Windows applications, covering the Athens and Cyprus sessions with portfolio valuation. SOLIDUS Global Markets is a separate web platform for international markets, with orders executed by Interactive Brokers. International equities and ETFs under SOLIDUS Global Securities are executed and held by AK Jensen. Orders can also be given by telephone to the firm's dealing desks. MetaTrader and cTrader are not offered.
SOLIDUS Securities ISF Deposits and Withdrawals
Bank transfer is the only funding channel published. Deposits must be made in the name of SOLIDUS Securities ΑΕΠΕΥ and only to the client accounts listed on the firm's funding page, held in euro and US dollars at Alpha Bank, Eurobank, the National Bank of Greece, Piraeus Bank, Optima Bank, Attica Bank, Pancreta Bank, the cooperative banks of Thessaly, Karditsa and Chania, and Eurobank Cyprus. Withdrawals are paid by bank transfer to the bank accounts the client nominates in the service agreement. Cards, electronic wallets and cryptocurrency are not offered, and no deposit or withdrawal fee, minimum, maximum or processing time is published.
SOLIDUS Securities ISF Support
Support is by telephone and email during Athens business hours, Monday to Friday 09:30 to 18:00, from the office at Louizis Riankour 64. Separate lines and mailboxes serve the Athens equities desk, the derivatives desk, the international markets desk, technical support, research, the cashier and customer service, and complaints go to a dedicated address handled by the firm's internal auditor, with the Hellenic banking and investment services ombudsman named as the next step. There is no live chat. Distribution also runs through a network of 51 tied agents across Greece and a Thessaloniki branch. Service is in Greek and English, and the client agreement states that documents and further communication are in Greek.
SOLIDUS Securities ISF Pros and Cons
- A long operating record, incorporated in 1999 and recorded as in operation at the Greek commercial registry.
- A named, checkable legal entity at a real Athens office, with registry number, tax number and Legal Entity Identifier all published.
- Exchange membership, segregated client money at European or Swiss banks, and investor compensation cover up to EUR 30,000.
- A published licence number and named regulator that this research did not confirm against the authority's own register.
- Commission of up to 1.00% of turnover, expensive next to online execution only pricing.
- No MetaTrader, no retail foreign exchange or CFD dealing account, and no card, wallet or cryptocurrency funding.
- Onboarding is built around Greek identity documents and a Greek tax number, so it is hard to use from outside Greece.
SOLIDUS Securities ISF Review and Assessment
SOLIDUS Securities ISF is a conventional Greek stockbroker with a long record and a transparent corporate identity, not a retail foreign exchange venue, and anyone arriving in search of leveraged currency trading is in the wrong place. Its proposition is agency access to the Athens, Cyprus and international markets at commission rates that suit an advised or occasional investor better than an active trader. The one thing to settle before funding an account is the regulatory position: the licence number and the supervising authority are published by the company and fit its registered corporate purpose, but they were not verified against the regulator's own register here, and that check is worth making directly.

How we know
- 1GR whitelisted: the account-opening page at https://www.solidus.gr/el-GR/investment-services/menu4a.html states that the SOLIDUS DIGITAL ONBOARDING service is addressed only to natural persons who are citizens of the Hellenic Republic, and entry to it requires a Greek tax registration number.
- 2The onboarding application at https://kyc.solidus.gr hands the applicant to the Greek government identity and e-Gov KYC service, so Greek state identification is what actually gates account opening. No country array is served by the application and none is present in its scripts.
- 3Terms of use, both Greek and English (https://www.solidus.gr/el-GR/investment-services/terms.html and https://www.solidus.gr/en-US/investment-services/terms.html): read in full, no restricted or prohibited jurisdiction clause of any kind.
- 4Client agreement and pre-contractual package (https://www.solidus.gr/AppFol/appDetails/RadControls/fol1/SolidusContract.pdf): read, no restricted-jurisdiction clause. It carries a US person declaration and a tax residence self-certification, both of which are reporting obligations under FATCA and the common reporting standard rather than a refusal to serve, so no code is written from them.
- 5Funding page (https://www.solidus.gr/el-GR/investment-services/menu4b.html): read, no country restriction. Deposits are accepted only to the firm's own segregated client accounts at named Greek and Cypriot banks, and client balances are held at banks based in the European Union or Switzerland.
- 6No dedicated restricted-countries or accepted-countries page exists. The full navigation of both language versions of the site was enumerated and contains no such page.
- 7The site publishes two language versions, Greek and English, and its footer carries no risk disclaimer naming any jurisdiction.
- 8No code was placed in any blocked list. Absence of a published restriction is not treated as acceptance, so no country other than Greece appears in any list.
Recorded by WIKILIX research, not published by the broker, and not a guarantee. A country listed nowhere above is not thereby accepted — check SOLIDUS Securities ISF's own terms before you open an account.
