By telephone on +30 210 6900600 or by email at info@solidus.gr, Monday to Friday 09:30 to 18:00 Athens time, with separate lines for the equities, derivatives and international desks, research, the cashier and customer service. There is no live chat. Complaints go in writing to the firm's Athens office or to parapona@solidus.gr and are handled by its internal auditor; if that does not settle the matter, the firm names the Hellenic banking and investment services ombudsman as the next step.
It would be difficult. The firm publishes no list of countries it refuses, but its onboarding is built entirely around Greek identity: the digital route is stated to be for citizens of the Hellenic Republic only and requires a Greek tax number and Greek government authentication, while the paper route needs a signature certified at a Greek citizens' service centre or police station. Nothing on the site says a non-resident is refused, but nothing says one is accepted either.
The firm describes the standard European protections. It states that client instruments and cash are held separately from its own assets in individually named accounts, that client cash sits in client bank accounts at institutions based in the European Union or Switzerland, and that balances are reconciled and allocated pro rata daily. It reports membership of the Greek investor compensation scheme, which pays up to EUR 30,000 per client where a member firm is found unable to meet its obligations. These are the firm's own statements, and the regulatory standing behind them was not confirmed on the regulator's register in this research.
The firm does not publish a withdrawal processing time, so there is no committed figure. What it does publish is the mechanism: money is returned by bank transfer to the bank accounts you named when you signed the service agreement, which limits where funds can be sent but says nothing about speed. Ask the customer service department for its current timescale before you fund an account.
By bank transfer only. Deposits must be sent in the name of SOLIDUS Securities ΑΕΠΕΥ and only to the client accounts published on the firm's funding page, held in euro and US dollars at named Greek banks and at Eurobank Cyprus. The firm warns clients never to send money anywhere else, even if asked to by someone claiming to be connected with it. Withdrawals are paid by bank transfer to the accounts you nominate in the service agreement. Cards, electronic wallets and cryptocurrency are not accepted, and no fee or processing time is published.
Two, neither of them MetaTrader. ZTradePlus, supplied by Metrictrade and branded SolidusZTradePlus, runs on desktop and as Android, iOS and Windows applications and covers the Athens and Cyprus sessions with portfolio valuation. SOLIDUS Global Markets is a separate web platform for international markets with execution by Interactive Brokers. Orders can also be given by telephone to the firm's dealing desks.
No headline leverage ratio is published. Credit on securities purchases is provided as a short term margin facility that requires 40% initial margin and 30% maintenance margin against the current value of the collateral portfolio, and it can only be activated after a compulsory knowledge and experience assessment for complex instruments. Margin on exchange traded derivatives is set by the clearing house.
Costs are commission based. Athens Exchange shares and bonds are charged at up to 1.00% of transaction value with a EUR 1.50 minimum per order plus a 0.06% clearing fee, with exchange charges and a 0.10% sale tax passed through. Cyprus Stock Exchange dealing is on the same terms. International markets are cheaper in percentage terms, from 3.5 basis points on European equities through SOLIDUS Global Securities, and up to 1% on stocks through SOLIDUS Global Markets. Custody is EUR 3.00 a quarter on larger Athens and Cyprus portfolios and 0.12% a year plus VAT on international holdings.
The firm does not publish a minimum deposit. Nothing on its account opening, funding or fee pages states an opening balance, so there is no figure to quote. What it does publish is a minimum charge of EUR 1.50 per order and a quarterly custody fee that varies according to whether the portfolio averages EUR 3,000 or more.
Not as a retail foreign exchange broker. The permissions the firm describes cover receiving, transmitting and executing client orders, portfolio management and investment advice, with foreign exchange services only where they are connected to an investment service, and they do not include dealing on own account. Currency pairs are available as one instrument among many through the SOLIDUS Global Markets service, where orders are executed by Interactive Brokers and charged at up to 0.70% of transaction value rather than through a dealing spread.
The operator is SOLIDUS SECURITIES ΑΝΩΝΥΜΗ ΕΤΑΙΡΕΙΑ ΠΑΡΟΧΗΣ ΕΠΕΝΔΥΤΙΚΩΝ ΥΠΗΡΕΣΙΩΝ Α.Ε., General Commercial Registry number 3580601000, tax number 099555553, Legal Entity Identifier 213800DF88N444TZD357. SOLIDUS Securities Investment Services Firm is one of its registered English trade names, so the brand and the company are the same legal person. The firm names its full board of directors publicly and reports a 65% holding in SOLIDUS INSURANCE SA.
Nothing found in this research suggests a scam. The operating company is a real, named Greek société anonyme, incorporated on 6 December 1999 and recorded as in operation at the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry registry, at a genuine Athens office with a published board, a full set of departmental telephone lines and a complaints procedure that escalates to a national ombudsman. The open question is regulatory confirmation, not corporate existence.
