What Sun Long Bullion legally published, but does not want you to read

Every clause below is published by Sun Long Bullion itself, on its own website, today. The finding is not that the text exists. It is the distance between what a client is shown and what a client agreed to. Read from its own documents on .

Contracting entity: 旭隆金業(香港)有限公司 (Sun Long Bullion (HK) Limited)

sole discretionunilateral amendmenthidden feedeemed acceptancewithdrawalsforum waiverkyc freezecountry restrictiondormancyjoint liability

Sun Long Bullion's client agreement is not on the website the agreement itself names as binding. We found it only behind the sign-up form, on another domain. The contract says you must pay applicable fees, never lists them, and lets the company change them without notice. It also lets Sun Long Bullion deduct up to 30% of a transaction's value from your account at its own discretion, hold your withdrawal with no deadline, and take your profit if it suspects manipulation. You can deposit with no identity check, but you cannot withdraw until the company approves your documents.

What the documents say

16 clauses worth knowing about, worst first, each quoted from Sun Long Bullion's own files

01

The contract you are bound by is not on slgold88.com. Sun Long Bullion's risk disclosure says the client agreement on its website settles every quote and every trade. The agreement defines that website as slgold88.com, which publishes only a disclaimer and a risk warning. We found the agreement behind the sign-up form, on a different company domain.

Why this matters

The agreement says a new version binds you as soon as Sun Long Bullion puts it on that website. Nothing has to be sent to you. A document that has never appeared there can be replaced without you ever seeing either version.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 3Fees can change without notice under a contract you cannot find, so neither the charge nor the wording that allows it is visible to you.
02

Sun Long Bullion can hold back or deduct money from your account at what the contract calls its sole and absolute discretion. The cap is 30% of the total transaction amount, plus any other sum a foreign tax authority asks for, plus the charges arising from the deduction itself.

Why this matters

The same clause says Sun Long Bullion is not responsible for any loss this causes you. You agreed to the deduction and you cannot claim the money back from the company.

What it costsOn a $10,000 transaction the clause allows $3,000 to be held back from your account, before the deduction's own charges are added.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA and CySEC must tell a retail client the costs and charges of a service before they trade. This contract sets no schedule for the amount, no trigger the client can check, and no route to recover it.

Sun Long Bullion is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

03

Sun Long Bullion reserves the right to hold back your withdrawal until a problem is resolved. No clause says who decides it is resolved, or by when. The client agreement has no withdrawal section at all: no timetable, no minimum, no method and no fee.

Why this matters

The only thing the contract says about getting your money out is that the company can stop it. You have no deadline to hold Sun Long Bullion to, and no stated grounds to challenge a hold.

Clause 10.1 in 客戶協議書 (Client Agreement), p.5

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), ASIC (Australia)

Firms licensed by the FCA and ASIC must pay a client's money out promptly on request and must hold it apart from their own. This contract sets no payment deadline and says nothing about where your money sits.

Sun Long Bullion is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 6One clause lets the company hold a withdrawal, and the sign-up rules stop you making one until it approves your documents.
04

Sun Long Bullion does not ask for identity documents when you open the account. You get a trading account on submitting a form and you can fund it. Before you can withdraw anything, you must upload your ID and bank card and wait for the company to approve them.

Why this matters

Your money goes in before anyone checks who you are, and the check stands between you and getting it back out. No clause sets a deadline for that review, and the withdrawal function stays locked until it passes.

Firms licensed by the FCA and ASIC must identify a client when the relationship starts, before taking their money. This broker reverses the order and puts the check at the exit instead of the entrance.

05

If Sun Long Bullion suspects your account of manipulating its prices, execution or platform, it can investigate and deduct the profit that activity earned. Suspicion is the trigger. The contract does not define manipulation, and it settles any dispute about it at its own absolute discretion.

Why this matters

Profit you have already made can be removed from your balance while the company decides, with no test you can point to and no appeal above it. The clause does stop at the profit from the activity, so your deposit is not exposed.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Sun Long Bullion is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 5The company can hold your withdrawal while it investigates the same suspicion it raised.
06

The fees clause says you must pay the applicable fees. No document sets out what they are. Sun Long Bullion can change them without telling you, and the reasons it gives itself include wanting to change its pricing structure for commercial reasons.

Why this matters

You cannot check a charge against a price list, because there is no price list. The application clause also says material on the website is not part of your agreement, so the rates shown there do not bind the company.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA and CySEC must disclose costs and charges to a retail client before they trade, and in good time. This contract creates an open obligation to pay, with the amounts set later and changed without notice.

Sun Long Bullion is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 8The one place the trading costs are actually published is the same website the contract excludes from your agreement.

The agreement that binds you lives somewhere you were never sent

Sun Long Bullion's risk disclosure says the client agreement on its website settles every quote and every trade. That agreement defines the website as slgold88.com, and slgold88.com does not carry it. We found the document behind the sign-up form on another company domain. The same agreement lets a new version bind you the moment it is posted there, and lets the company raise the margin on your open positions at any time.

Contract control2 clauses flagged

Sun Long Bullion raised the weekend and holiday margin on gold from $3,000 to $9,000 a lot in early 2026, three weeks after setting the $3,000 figure. The trading guide says the company can change the margin level at any time. Positions are closed out at a margin level of 100%.

In plain words

Negative balance protection is a limit that stops you owing more than you put in. Without it, one fast market move can leave you owing the broker money on top of your deposit.

Why this matters

If your account cannot meet a raised requirement, Sun Long Bullion closes your positions. The risk disclosure then makes you responsible for whatever is still owed, plus interest on it. There is no protection stopping your account going below zero.

What it costsTwo gold lots held over a weekend needed $6,000 in margin before the change and $18,000 after it.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), ESMA (EU)

Firms licensed by the FCA and under ESMA rules must give retail clients negative balance protection, so an account cannot fall below zero. This contract makes you liable for the shortfall and the interest that runs on it.

Sun Long Bullion is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

Entering the website is treated as giving up your claims

Sun Long Bullion's disclaimer says that on entering the website, every user releases the company, its related companies and their directors, officers, staff and agents from any claim over loss. Clause 10.3 of the client agreement makes anyone holding your trading password an authorised person, binding on you in terms the contract calls irrebuttable. No document sets out a complaints procedure or names an independent scheme.

Right to complain2 clauses flagged

Any person who can give Sun Long Bullion your trading password is treated as authorised, and the contract says that binding on you cannot be overturned. You carry the whole risk of the password being stolen and you compensate the company for anything that follows.

Why this matters

Trades placed by a thief are your trades, and you cannot dispute them. The same password opens the client centre, where bank details and withdrawals are handled.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 12One clause makes the unauthorised trade yours, the other releases the company from the claim you would bring about it.

The disclaimer says that on entering the website, every user releases Sun Long Bullion, all its related companies and their directors, officers, staff and agents from any claim over loss or its consequences. Opening the page is the only act required.

Why this matters

The company treats a browser visit as your agreement to give up claims against people you have never dealt with. You are asked to release the staff and agents personally, not the firm alone.

Our readingWebsite disclaimers usually limit the site owner's liability for the site's content. This one is drafted as a release of claims by every visitor, extended to related companies and named individuals, and triggered by entry rather than by opening an account.

You agree to pay fees that no Sun Long Bullion document sets out

Clause 6.1 of the Sun Long Bullion client agreement says you must pay the applicable fees, and no document says what they are. Clause 6.2 lets the company change them without notice, including for commercial reasons. Clause 14 allows up to 30% of a transaction's value to be deducted from your account at sole discretion. The spread, the overnight charge and the margin all changed during 2026 through posts in the news section, and clause 2.2 says website material is not part of your agreement.

Cost disclosure3 clauses flagged

Sun Long Bullion stopped trying to hold a fixed spread on precious metals, effective from the day it published the notice. The spread is the gap between the buy and sell price, and it is your main trading cost. The notice sits in the news section, not in any legal document.

Why this matters

Your cost per trade now moves with the market and the company can widen it. The same notice says the price on your screen may differ from the price you actually get.

Holding a gold position overnight cost $36 a lot from December 2025. Six weeks later Sun Long Bullion set it at $58. Both changes arrived as announcements in the news section, and both say the rate that actually applies is whatever the trading platform shows at the time.

Why this matters

A cost you cannot look up in any contract rose by more than half in six weeks. Your position is charged at the platform's live figure, which the company sets.

Storage on physical gold costs HK$40 an ounce a month, and any part of a month is charged as a whole month. If you miss your collection appointment, the charge starts the next day. Sun Long Bullion can change these fees without telling you first.

Why this matters

Being one day late collecting a bar costs you a full month of storage on every ounce of it. Once you sign for the metal there are no returns and no exchanges.

Suspicion is the whole test before your profit is taken

Clause 12 lets Sun Long Bullion deduct the profits from an account it suspects of manipulating prices, execution or the platform. The word is suspects, the term is undefined, and the company resolves any resulting dispute at its absolute discretion. The deduction does stop at the profit from that activity, so the deposit stays yours. Clause 15 separately lets the company demand a guarantor who cannot revoke the guarantee or recover from you.

Balance deductions1 clause flagged

Sun Long Bullion can require a guarantor for your obligations, chosen at its absolute discretion. That person guarantees your debts unconditionally and cannot withdraw the guarantee. They also give up the right to claim the money back from you while anything is still owed.

Why this matters

Someone close to you can become liable for your trading losses. The guarantee survives changes to the contract they never saw, and it stays in force after your account closes.

Our readingA personal guarantee with a waiver of the guarantor's right of recovery is a commercial lending device. In a retail bullion account it means a third party's own money answers for your losses, on terms they cannot revoke.

Hong Kong law governs, and the contract claims to come first

Clause 18 of the Sun Long Bullion client agreement puts the contract under Hong Kong law and the non exclusive jurisdiction of Hong Kong courts, with mediation before arbitration. That much is ordinary. Clause 19.11 then says the agreement prevails where it conflicts with any law, and clause 19.14 excludes present or future legislation that would alter your obligations to the company's disadvantage.

Governing law1 clause flagged

Where the client agreement conflicts with any law, the agreement says the agreement wins. A second clause excludes any present or future legislation that would change your obligations in a way that harms Sun Long Bullion's rights or remedies.

Why this matters

A protection Hong Kong law gives you is written out of your contract before you ever rely on it. Both clauses add that this applies only so far as the law permits, which is the part that decides the outcome.

Our readingContracts commonly say an invalid clause is severed from the rest. Declaring that the agreement prevails over inconsistent law, and excluding future legislation by name, reverses the usual order between a contract and the statute above it.

No financial regulator is named in anything Sun Long Bullion publishes

Sun Long Bullion describes itself as member 157 of the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society, a Hong Kong trade association for bullion dealers, and the privacy policy names that body as the requirement it follows. No document names a financial regulator, states that client money is held separately, or names a compensation scheme. Clause 5.1 defines your account as a record of advice the company keeps.

Who holds your money1 clause flagged

The only supervisory body named anywhere in these documents is the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society, a Hong Kong trade association for bullion dealers. No document names a financial regulator. None says your money is held apart from the company's own, and none names a compensation scheme.

Why this matters

If Sun Long Bullion fails, nothing in what it publishes tells you your balance would be treated as yours. The contract even defines your account as a record of advice the company keeps, not as a holding of your money.

Who the contract is with

旭隆金業(香港)有限公司 (Sun Long Bullion (HK) Limited)

Three different names appear across the documents for the company you contract with. The website and the sign-up portal say 旭隆金业(香港)有限公司, in English Sun Long Bullion (HK)Limited. The client agreement calls it 旭隆金業 throughout and shortens it to SL. The privacy policy names 旭隆金業有限公司, without 香港 in it. The about page gives company registration number 2681547 and says the firm is member 157 of the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society, a Hong Kong trade body for bullion dealers. No document names a financial regulator, and no document says your money is held separately from the company's own. The deposit page asks you to pay into bank accounts held in the company's name.

Quotations are copied verbatim from the documents named above, with the clause number and the page each one came from. Where a clause is quoted in another language, the original is shown first and the English is a translation.

The plain-language parts, what a clause means for a client, how ordinary it is, and how it reads against a regulated standard, are WIKILIX's analysis and are labelled as such on every card. This is a reading of public documents, not legal advice and not an allegation of wrongdoing.

In fairness, and what we could not check

A reader who knows the edges of the work can trust the middle of it

The privacy policy is the best document here, and it is genuinely good. It is specific, recent and readable. It states plainly that Sun Long Bullion will never sell or rent your personal data, gives a 7 year retention basis, and lists your rights to see and correct what it holds. Most bullion dealers publish nothing this clear. The client agreement also keeps a real carve out: clause 9.4 does not excuse the company's own breach, negligence or wilful default. Clause 12 caps a profit deduction at the profit from the suspected activity, so your deposit stays yours. The trading parameter changes did come with warning: the January margin notice gave five days, and the weekend margin notice gave a week.

We read all four of Sun Long Bullion's legal documents end to end: the disclaimer, the risk disclosure, the client agreement and the privacy policy. Only the first two are published on slgold88.com. We reached the client agreement and the privacy policy through the account sign-up form, which links them on a separate company domain, and we read both on the company's own Hong Kong site. Every quotation credited to those two comes from there. We could not open slgoldi.com, the address the sign-up form points at, on any attempt. No earlier copy of the client agreement or the privacy policy exists anywhere, so we had nothing to compare those two against. We did not review the client portal behind the login, so any terms shown only to account holders are outside this reading.

How to check any of this yourself

Every quote above links to the Sun Long Bullion file it came from. This is what to do with it.

Open the three stepsFind the words in the source, work out the fingerprint, and read what a difference does and does not prove.

Open the source and search for the words

Every quote has a link under it. Open the file, or the web page, and search it for the words we quote. The clause number next to the quote tells you where to look.

If the words are not there any more, the source may have changed after we read it. That is worth knowing too. We keep the date we read it, and a code worked out from its wording, so the quote stays checkable.

What a fingerprint is

A fingerprint is a code worked out from what a source says. Change one word and the code changes completely. We keep two codes for every file we read, and the panel on each source shows both.

The first is the code of the exact file we downloaded. The second is the code of its wording alone, with capital letters lowered and runs of spaces collapsed. When the same words are saved as a new file, the first code changes and the second one stays the same.

Only the first code can be worked out on your own computer. Save the file, then run one of these, putting the name of the file you saved where the example is. The panel on each source prints the command with that source's real file name already in it.

macOS or Linux:
  shasum -a 256 the-file-you-saved.pdf

Windows:
  certutil -hashfile the-file-you-saved.pdf SHA256

The two codes are different from each other, and they are not meant to match. Comparing one against the other proves nothing.

What a difference means, and what it does not

A different file code on its own proves nothing. A PDF saved again with a new date inside it is a new file saying exactly the same thing.

A different wording code means the words themselves changed. That is the one that matters, and it is why we keep it.

Even then, a change is not proof of bad faith. Companies update their documents. What this report says is what the document said on the day we read it, and every quote carries that date.

A source that is a web page and not a file has no file to save, so only the code of its wording is shown.

How this report is made

Every clause quoted above comes from a document Sun Long Bullion publishes on its own website, downloaded and hashed on the date shown, with the clause number and page recorded so any reader can check it. We do not allege anything the documents do not say, and we do not judge Sun Long Bullion on anything other than its own published terms and its own public marketing. Where a clause has a qualifier that softens it, the report says so. Last read Sep 22, 2026.
