Risk scorecard
Each area is scored 0 (clean) to 10 (worst). Higher means more risk.
Regulation
7/10 · HighNo licence from any authority and none claimed, which is normal for a prop firm and involves no false statement, but it leaves clients with no supervisor, no compensation scheme and no route of appeal.
Identity & transparency
7/10 · HighThe entity, number and address are stated consistently across the footer, terms and LinkedIn, but the registration cannot be confirmed in any public register, no owners or directors are named, and the only direct contact is a WhatsApp number and a no-code chat page.
Withdrawals & conduct
6/10 · HighFive fund-integrity reports of payouts refused or accounts closed once the target was met, two with account IDs and amounts, set against 34 positive reviews including specific confirmed payouts and a firm that answers every complaint publicly.
Reputation
6/10 · High4.1 out of 5 across only 40 Trustpilot reviews, with a hollow-middle distribution of 75% five-star and 15% one-star, a 2024 burst of single-review accounts, and no footprint at all on the main trading forums.
Website claims
6/10 · HighNo false regulatory claim and no inflated founding year, which counts in its favour, but more than 100,000 funded traders and over $10 million paid are advertised without support, and the key trading restrictions are absent from the FAQ.
Operational history
4/10 · ModerateRoughly three years and four months of continuous single-brand operation from a June 2023 domain, with customer traces from late 2023, but the operating company could not be dated so the figure is an upper bound.
Who they are
A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.
- Brand: The Funded Fx
- Legal entity: The Funded Fx Pvt. Ltd, registration number 2022336125, named in the site footer and the Terms of Service
- Registered: Ground Floor, The Doubloon Building, Rodney Bay, Gros-Islet, Saint Lucia
- Website: thefundedfx.com, registered 9 June 2023 through GoDaddy
- Only licence: none. No regulator is named anywhere on the site, and none was found on any register. A Saint Lucia company registration is not financial regulation.
- Offers: one-step evaluations on account sizes from $2,000 to $200,000 for fees of $30 to $700, instant funded accounts, and corporate accounts of $500,000 to $10 million for one-time fees of $2,099 to $25,999. Profit share up to 90%, leverage up to 1:100.
- Not accepted: no excluded countries are listed. The homepage banner advertises 'No IP Restrictions, trade from anywhere in the world'.
- Age claim: none. The site advertises no founding year, which is to its credit.
- Contact: support@thefundedfx.com, a WhatsApp number on a Greek mobile prefix, and a chat page hosted on a no-code app platform. No corporate telephone number and no named directors or owners are published.

Why we reached this verdict
How the evidence adds up.
High risk rather than scam, because the serious findings are structural and the conduct evidence, while consistent, sits on one platform.
- The complaint pattern is real but unconfirmed across platforms. Five Trustpilot reviewers describe the identical mechanism: reach the profit target, then be told a rule was broken. Two are highly checkable (account 899592 with $9,788.96 in profit, terminated November 2025; a $5,000 account bought on 14 February 2026, refused in March). They span September 2024 to March 2026, so there is no single freeze window, and Forex Peace Army carries no reviews at all for this firm while the main trading forums carry nothing either. Two of the four pattern tests are met, so we record the set as moderate and say plainly that it is not corroborated on a second independent platform.
- The written terms make discretion the rule. Clause 19.1 prohibits trading during high-impact economic news without defining a single minute of a window. Clause 15.1 requires every position to stay open five minutes. Clause 10.4.1.7 bars opening trades immediately before major economic events. Clause 10.4.1.9 then catches anything else the firm decides to prohibit, with the list amendable on seven days' notice. Breach carries 'immediate account suspension and forfeiture of accrued profits', and funding decisions are 'final and binding' at the firm's sole discretion. A trader cannot know in advance whether a trade is compliant.
- The corporate identity does not resolve. Saint Lucia's Registry of Companies and Intellectual Property runs no free public online search, its name check is an in-person form, and no cross-jurisdiction corporate database holds The Funded Fx Pvt. Ltd. So registration number 2022336125 rests entirely on the firm's own say-so.
- The claimed scale is not supported by anything we can see. The homepage advertises more than 100,000 funded traders and over $10 million paid out, and the LinkedIn page claims 51 to 200 staff. The complete independent trace is 40 Trustpilot reviews, zero Forex Peace Army reviews and no MetaTrader server registered to the brand.
- The review base itself is pattern-flagged. 75% five-star and 15% one-star with nothing at all in between is the hollow-middle shape. Most positive reviews come from accounts with one lifetime review, clustered in a burst between March and August 2024, several naming the same account managers.
- What we did not find matters too. The global warning register that aggregates more than 150 regulators returns nothing for thefundedfx.com or for The Funded Fx. The same search returns nine other prop firms with similar names that do carry warnings, so the search works and the clean result is meaningful. There is no clone, no borrowed licence number and no stolen identity here.
- The score. The weighted scorecard gives 63%, which sits in the high-risk band. No hard floor applies: there is no regulator warning, no confirmed identity misuse, no demand for an extra payment to release funds and no predecessor brand carrying a history.
- One limit on the age figure. The operating record of roughly three years and four months rests on the domain registration alone, because the company behind it could not be dated. Treat it as an upper bound rather than a settled track record.
Evidence ledger
Every finding, with its source and how strongly it points.
E1The site sells funded-trader evaluations rather than brokerage accounts. The evaluation runs on a demo account, the firm supplies the capital, and the client pays a one-time fee. No client trading deposits, client-money or segregation language appears in the terms.
E2Clause 10.4.1.9 treats any behaviour 'deemed prohibited at the sole discretion of The Funded FX' as a breach, with the list amendable on seven days' notice, and breaches carry 'immediate account suspension and forfeiture of accrued profits'. Funding decisions are 'final and binding' at the firm's sole discretion.
E3Clause 19.1 prohibits trading during high-impact economic news events but defines no time window and names no qualifying events. Clause 15.1 requires every position to remain open at least five minutes, and clause 10.4.1.7 bars opening trades immediately before major economic events.
E4Five reviewers describe the same failure: the account is closed or the payout refused once the profit target is reached. One names account 899592 and a profit of $9,788.96 terminated in November 2025 with no violation notice produced. Another bought a $5,000 account on 14 February 2026, passed both targets and was refused on a news-trading rule in March 2026.
E540 reviews averaging 4.1 out of 5, distributed 75% five-star, 10% four-star, nothing at three or two stars, and 15% one-star. The firm has replied to 100% of negative reviews. Several positive reviewers confirm payouts received, including $2,834, $1,565 and one settled in five hours.
E6The positive review base is dominated by accounts holding a single lifetime review, clustered in a burst between March and August 2024, with generic praise naming the same handful of account managers. The hollow-middle distribution is the shape associated with managed reviews.
E7The global alert network that aggregates the warning lists of more than 150 regulators returns no entry for thefundedfx.com or for The Funded Fx as of 15 October 2026.
E8The same alert network returns nine warned firms with names containing 'Funded', including FundedTrusts, Empire Funded and EA Master Funded, none of which is this company or its domain. The search function demonstrably works for this class of firm, so the clean result for The Funded Fx is a real negative rather than a gap.
ModerateIOSCO I-SCAN warning searchE9The domain thefundedfx.com was registered on 9 June 2023 through GoDaddy and runs on Cloudflare nameservers, with an expiry of 9 June 2027. This dates the operation to mid 2023 and matches the earliest customer reviews from late 2023.
E10No company named The Funded Fx appears in the cross-jurisdiction corporate index. The only near matches are FX Funded LLC in Delaware and The FX Funded LLC in Wyoming, both unrelated US entities with different names and no connection to this operation.
ModerateOpenCorporates company searchE11Saint Lucia's Registry of Companies and Intellectual Property offers no free online company search. Its name check is a paper form submitted in person during office hours. Registration number 2022336125 therefore rests only on the firm's own published statement.
E12The homepage advertises more than 100,000 funded traders and over $10 million in total payouts, alongside named testimonials carrying payout figures. No independent trace supports that scale, and no founding year is claimed anywhere on the site.
ModerateThe Funded Fx homepageE13Corporate accounts of $500,000 to $10 million are sold for one-time fees of $2,099 to $25,999, with the firm supplying the capital and no regulator, auditor or counterparty disclosed.
E14No MetaTrader server or broker entry is registered to The Funded Fx in the MetaQuotes directory, although reviewers report trading on MT5. This is consistent with a prop firm operating on a partner's white-label server rather than running its own brokerage.
E15The company LinkedIn page lists thefundedfx.com as its website, confirming identity, and claims 51 to 200 employees. No founding year, headquarters or named staff are published on it.
E16The entire support surface for a firm claiming more than 100,000 funded traders is an automated chat page hosted on a no-code app platform, plus a WhatsApp number on a Greek mobile prefix and two email addresses. No corporate telephone number is published.
E17The FAQ sets out withdrawals, account types and profit splits but contains no news-trading restriction, no minimum hold period and no prohibited-practices list. The rules that decide payouts appear only in the separate Important Account Terms document.
The other side
The strongest case in this broker’s favour.
The case for the firm, stated as fairly as we can put it.
- It never claims to be regulated. Many unlicensed operations invent a regulator or buy an offshore registration and present it as supervision. This one does neither. For a proprietary trading firm, holding no licence is the normal shape of the business, not a deception.
- The rules the complainants fell foul of are published. The news-trading prohibition and the five-minute minimum hold are both written into the Important Account Terms. The firm is not inventing restrictions after the fact; the dispute is about how loosely they are defined and when they are enforced.
- Most reviewers say they were paid. 34 of the 40 Trustpilot reviews are positive, and several give specific figures and timings, including payouts of $2,834 and $1,565 and one withdrawal settled in five hours. A firm that never pays does not accumulate that.
- It answers its critics in public. Trustpilot records a reply to 100% of negative reviews, and the replies ask for the account ID and offer to review the case rather than ignoring it.
- No regulator anywhere has acted. Nothing on the global alert network, and nothing from any national list, as of 15 October 2026.
- Payout disputes are endemic to this whole sector. Large and well-known prop firms generate the same complaints in far greater volume. The presence of some here is not on its own distinctive.
- The age claim is honest. There is no 'trading since' banner inflating a three-year history into a fifteen-year one, which is the single most common misrepresentation we see.
What would change this
What we would need to see to revise the verdict.
Concrete things that would move this verdict in either direction.
- Toward safer: a registry extract confirming The Funded Fx Pvt. Ltd and number 2022336125 in Saint Lucia; a defined time window on the news rule, stating the exact minutes and the exact events; removal or narrowing of the sole-discretion catch-all in clause 10.4.1.9; substantiation of the 100,000 trader and $10 million payout figures; an organic review footprint on a second independent platform that matches the claimed scale.
- Toward worse: any regulator adding thefundedfx.com to a warning or alert list; fund-integrity complaints appearing on a second independent platform with the same mechanism; any credible report of a demand for an extra payment, tax or fee before a payout is released, which would change the verdict immediately; evidence that funded accounts are not executed as described; the firm ceasing to respond to disputes in public.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about this broker’s safety.
Is The Funded Fx a scam?
Not proven. No regulator has warned about it, there is no enforcement action against it, and most reviewers say they were paid. We rate it high risk rather than a scam because a repeated group of traders report the same thing: the account is closed or the payout refused at the moment the profit target is hit. Treat the challenge fee as money you might not recover.
Is The Funded Fx a fraud?
We found no evidence of fraud. There is no regulator warning, no enforcement action and no fraud-related court record naming The Funded Fx Pvt. Ltd or thefundedfx.com as of 15 October 2026. What exists are customer disputes about payout denials, which is a contractual argument rather than a proven crime.
Is The Funded Fx regulated?
No. It holds no licence from any financial regulator, and it does not claim one. Its only registration is as a Saint Lucia company, which is not financial regulation and gives you no protection. For a proprietary trading firm this is normal, because the model does not require a broker licence, but it does mean no authority supervises it.
Is The Funded Fx a broker or a prop firm?
A prop firm. You pay a one-time fee for an evaluation, trade a demo account to a 10% target, and are then given a funded account using the firm's capital with a profit share up to 90%. You do not deposit your own trading capital, so it is not a brokerage, and our record listing it as a broker is being corrected.
Can I withdraw my money from The Funded Fx?
Many traders report that they can. Trustpilot carries several accounts of payouts received, with figures such as $2,834 and $1,565 and one settled within five hours. But five reviewers describe payouts refused at the final stage after a rule violation was announced only once the target was met. Both outcomes are documented.
Is my money safe with The Funded Fx?
Your challenge fee is at risk. It is non-refundable unless you pass, no regulator supervises the firm, there is no compensation scheme and no ombudsman. The terms also allow forfeiture of accrued profits if the firm decides a rule was broken. Only risk what you can afford to lose entirely.
Who owns The Funded Fx?
This is not disclosed. The site names The Funded Fx Pvt. Ltd, registration number 2022336125 in Saint Lucia, but no directors, officers or beneficial owners are published anywhere, and Saint Lucia's registry has no public online search that would reveal them.
How old is The Funded Fx?
The website was registered on 9 June 2023, so roughly three years and four months at the time of writing, and the earliest customer reviews date from late 2023. The company behind it could not be dated, so treat three years as an upper bound rather than a confirmed track record.
What is the Saint Lucia registration worth?
Very little as a safety signal. A Saint Lucia company registration is a corporate formality, not a financial licence, and it carries no capital requirement, no client-money rules and no supervision of how payouts are handled. In this case the number cannot even be confirmed, because Saint Lucia publishes no free online company register.
Why do traders say their accounts were terminated?
The recurring account is that a rule violation, usually news trading, is announced only after the profit target is reached. The rule does exist: clause 19.1 of the Important Account Terms prohibits trading during high-impact economic news. But it specifies no time window and no list of qualifying events, and clause 10.4.1.9 lets the firm treat anything it chooses as prohibited.
Is The Funded Fx a clone of another firm?
No. We found no sign of impersonation. It does not display another company's licence number, it does not copy a regulated brand's identity, and the domain is not a typosquat. Note that several unrelated firms have similar names, including MyFundedFX and FundedFX, and those are separate businesses whose records should not be read as this one's.
What should I check before paying for a challenge?
Read the Important Account Terms in full, not the FAQ, because the trading restrictions are only in the terms. Ask support in writing for the exact news-trading window in minutes. Start with the smallest account size. Keep every chat log and email, and pay by a method that allows a chargeback.
What do I do if my payout was refused?
Ask in writing for the specific trade ID, the timestamp and the exact clause you are alleged to have breached, and keep the reply. Post the detail publicly, since the firm responds to negative reviews and asks for account IDs. If you paid by card, raise a chargeback with your bank promptly. There is no regulator to escalate to.
What we recommend
The practical takeaway from everything above.
If you are considering paying for a challenge here, treat the fee as money you may not get back.
- Read clauses 15.1, 19.1 and 10.4.1.9 of the Important Account Terms before you pay anything. They decide whether you get a payout, and 10.4.1.9 lets the firm add prohibited practices on seven days' notice.
- Start at the smallest tier. There is no evidential basis for committing $2,099 to $25,999 to a corporate account at a company whose registration cannot be checked.
- Get the news rule in writing before you trade. Ask support, in a channel you can save, exactly how many minutes before and after which releases are restricted. The published rule gives no window, and that gap is where the disputes happen.
- Keep your own records from day one: trade history exports, chat logs, emails and screenshots of your dashboard. The traders who got the furthest in public disputes are the ones who had them.
- If a payout is refused, ask in writing for the trade ID, the timestamp and the exact clause. Refusal to supply those is itself informative.
- Do not expect regulatory recourse. No authority supervises this firm, so there is no ombudsman and no compensation scheme. A card chargeback with your own bank is realistically your only lever.
This is an independent assessment of risk, not a legal ruling. Scores and verdicts follow the Wikilix broker-safety methodology and can change as new evidence appears. Review scores are treated with caution when a broker’s reviews look manipulated. Last reviewed October 15, 2026.
