Trade Nation CMVM licence 601

Trade Nation's account-opening form refuses residents of 24 jurisdictions, including the United States, Canada, Belgium, China, Russia, Malaysia, Iran and North Korea, and it also refuses US citizens. The footer of its UK site says its information is not directed at residents of the United States, Canada or Belgium.

Trade Nation's UK rate card lists no dormancy fee. Trade Nation Europe's client agreement classes an account as dormant after 180 days without an opening, closing or pending trade, and a deposit alone does not count as activity.

Yes. Trade Nation's UK site offers a demo account on TN Trader with GBP 10,000 in virtual funds and charts powered by ChartIQ.

Trade Nation Europe's client agreement allows it in some cases. It may void or reverse a trade made at an incorrect price, including one caused by stale or delayed market data, may reverse executed trades in exceptional circumstances, and, if it suspects market abuse, may void profitable transactions while enforcing loss-making ones.

Yes. Trade Nation states that it is the counterparty to its clients' trades, and Trade Nation Europe's client agreement says that when a client profits from a trade Trade Nation may make a loss, and the reverse.

Yes, for retail clients, whose losses Trade Nation says cannot exceed the funds in their account. Trade Nation Europe's client agreement lets it reverse that protection if it believes a negative balance arose from market abuse, fraud or another breach, and professional and wholesale clients lose, or may lose, the protection.

Only under the terms of its Seychelles company, Trade Nation Financial Markets Ltd. The account charges no swaps, but a daily administration charge applies from the sixth day a trade is open (from the first day on cryptocurrencies and rolling futures), spreads and commissions may be slightly higher, and Trade Nation may revoke the status. The UK site offers no swap-free account.

Trade Nation says it charges no deposit or withdrawal fees, but its client agreements let it pass on costs. The UK client agreement reserves the right to pass on payment processing costs and does not refund charges made by a client's own or an intermediary bank, and Trade Nation Europe's agreement lets it deduct bank charges from a withdrawal.

Trade Nation's UK client agreement aims to process withdrawals within one business day; debit card payments then typically arrive within a few hours, transfers to UK bank accounts within minutes, EEA transfers in 3 to 4 business days and other transfers in up to 8 business days. Its deposit FAQ gives 2 to 5 business days for bank transfers, and its support centre says anywhere from one minute to five business days.

UK clients can pay by debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro or Electron; credit cards are not accepted), bank transfer, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Skrill, Neteller or Rapid Transfer. The South African site adds credit cards, local payment services, cryptocurrency and, on its payments page, mobile money for several African countries. Payments from third parties are refused, withdrawals go back to the method used to deposit, and the minimum withdrawal is 50 in the account currency.

Trade Nation offers CFDs on currency pairs, stock indices, shares from the UK, Europe and the US, precious and industrial metals, energy, soft commodities and bond futures. Its UK instrument list includes no cryptocurrencies, while the Australian site sets leverage for cryptocurrency CFDs, so the range differs by region.

Yes, if you are a UK client. Trade Nation Financial UK Ltd offers spread betting alongside CFDs on TN Trader and TradingView, but not on MetaTrader 4.

Trade Nation offers its own TN Trader platform on the web and in apps for iOS and Android, trading directly from TradingView charts, and MetaTrader 4 for Windows, web and mobile. The South African and Australian sites also offer TradeCopier, a copy trading app linked to an MT4 account. MetaTrader 5 is not available, although Trade Nation says it plans to offer it.

For UK retail clients, Trade Nation offers up to 30:1 on major currency pairs, 20:1 on major indices and gold, 10:1 on commodities and 5:1 on shares and bonds, although one FAQ answer on the same page gives 20:1 for equities. Professional clients of Trade Nation Europe can reach 200:1 and wholesale clients of Trade Nation Australia 500:1; the UK site publishes no professional leverage figure.

On TN Trader and TradingView, Trade Nation quotes fixed spreads on currency, index, commodity and bond markets that change only at set times of day, with EUR/USD at 0.5 pips in the main session on the UK sheet; MetaTrader 4 accounts use variable spreads. Trade Nation Europe's risk disclosure adds that the dealing spread may vary with trading hours and in volatile market conditions, and that the spread to close a trade may be wider than the spread to open it.

No. Trade Nation charges no commission on CFDs or spread bets, so the spread is the main trading cost. Positions held overnight pay or receive funding at the benchmark rate adjusted by a 2.5% yearly administration charge (3% on commodities). On instruments quoted in a currency other than the account's, the UK rate card gives 0.45% as an indicative conversion rate on TN Trader, with the UK rate still to be confirmed, and no separate conversion fee on MetaTrader 4.

Trade Nation's UK site has no minimum deposit to open an account or start trading; individual payment methods set their own minimums, from £0.01 to £5. The South African site is inconsistent: its deposit page asks R1,000 for a first deposit, while its payments page says there is no minimum deposit.

That depends on where you live. Trade Nation's account-opening form assigns UK residents to Trade Nation Financial UK Ltd (FCA), Australian residents to Trade Nation Australia Pty Ltd (ASIC) and residents of EU member states other than Belgium to Trade Nation Europe Empresa de Investimento, S.A. in Portugal (CMVM). Residents of most other accepted countries go to Trade Nation Ltd in The Bahamas or Trade Nation Financial Markets Ltd in Seychelles, with South African residents placed with the Seychelles company, and neither offshore company offers an investor compensation scheme. Each company has its own client agreement, so the terms that apply are those of the company that holds your account.

Yes. All six of Trade Nation's operating companies were found on their regulators' registers on 3 November 2026: Trade Nation Financial UK Ltd is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority under firm reference number 525164, Trade Nation Europe Empresa de Investimento, S.A. is registered with the CMVM in Portugal as an investment firm under number 601, and Trade Nation Australia Pty Ltd holds Australian Financial Services Licence 422661 from ASIC. Trade Nation Financial (Pty) Ltd holds an FSCA Category I licence for advice and intermediary services (FSP 49846), and the FSCA fined it in 2022 for acting as an unlicensed derivatives provider. The Seychelles FSA and the Securities Commission of The Bahamas list Trade Nation Financial Markets Ltd and Trade Nation Ltd, whose licence numbers SD150 and SIA-F216 come from Trade Nation's own website, and which company holds an account depends on where the client lives.
