What Trade W legally published, but does not want you to read

Every clause below was published by Trade W itself, on its own website, on the day we read it. The finding is not that the text exists. It is the distance between what a client is shown and what a client agreed to. This is what they said on .

Contracting entity: Tradewill Global LLC

sole discretionaccount closureclient moneycomplaint windowconflict of interestdormancyentity confusionforum waiverhidden feekyc freeze

Trade W can charge you up to 4.5% to take your own money out, if you have not traded enough. Its contract says the spread you pay will never be revealed to you. The company you sign with, Tradewill Global LLC, calls itself a Seychelles firm in its own client agreement and a Saint Vincent firm everywhere else. In 55 pages there is no clause saying your money is kept separate from the company's.

section 45 of 66is where the deepest clause sits, 68% of the way into the document it is in

The numbers in this contractFigures taken from this broker's own clauses, so the labels differ from broker to broker. The four in the panel above are the same on every report.

3 of these 4 figures come from a clause we rate critical, which means it can take your money or your profit rather than only delay it.

What the documents say

15 clauses worth knowing about, worst first, each quoted from Trade W's own files

01

Trade W can take up to 4.5% of your withdrawal if you have not traded enough between your last deposit and your request. Clause 2.9.1 sets the rate by how many months you were quiet. The definitions page says sufficient activity means two trades per month.

Why this matters

Deposit money, change your mind, and withdrawing it costs you 2% straight away. Leave it sitting more than six months and taking it back costs 4.5%. You pay this for not trading.

Exhibit 1CriticalHarder than usual4.5%

The Company reserves a right to raise commission on withdrawal up to 4.5% in case there is no sufficient trading activity between last deposits and withdraw request which the customers will be given prior notice of.
Clause 2.9.1 in TRADEWILL GLOBAL LLC Client Service Agreement, p.11
Read from the broker's site on Open the reference

What it costsA $10,000 withdrawal after more than six months without two trades a month arrives as $9,550. The $450 goes to Trade W.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA and CySEC must tell a retail client the costs and charges of a service before they trade. This charge sits at clause 2.9.1 of a 55 page agreement and appears on no funding page we opened.

Trade W is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

What happens, and when

The stages this clause runs through, taken from the broker's own document
TriggerWhat the broker may then doClause
1 month to 3 months without two trades a monthTrade W can charge 2% of the amount you withdraw.2.9.1
3 months to 6 monthsThe charge rises to 3% of the amount you withdraw.2.9.1
More than 6 monthsThe charge rises to 4.5% of the amount you withdraw.2.9.1
  • Worse together with Exhibit 2The fee schedule lives on the website rather than in the contract, and clause 12.16 says Trade W never has to explain what it charged, so you cannot check the 4.5% against anything.
02

Trade W builds its pay into the price it quotes you. Clause 12.9 says that amount will not appear on your trade confirmation or be revealed to you at all. Clause 12.16 goes further: Trade W is never obliged to disclose what it earned from you.

In plain words

Remuneration means payments it receives.

Why this matters

You cannot work out what a trade cost you, because the cost is inside the price and Trade W does not have to show it. No statement you can ask for settles it.

Exhibit 2CriticalHarder than usual

Furthermore, the Customer acknowledges, recognizes and accepts that said spread constitutes remuneration to the Company and that such spread not necessarily can be calculated for all Contracts and that such spread will not be specified at the Settlement/Trade Confirmation or otherwise revealed to the Customer.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus), ESMA (EU)

Firms licensed by the FCA and CySEC must disclose costs and charges to a retail client before they trade, and give an itemised breakdown on request. This contract says the opposite in two places.

Trade W is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

  • Same clause as Exhibit 8The same section that hides the spread also admits Trade W may hold positions against you.
03

Tradewill Global LLC is registered in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and its own website footer says so. Its client agreement defines the same company as one formed and registered in the Republic of Seychelles. The agreement has no governing law clause anywhere in 55 pages, and the only court it names is the Supreme Court of Seychelles.

Why this matters

You cannot tell from the contract which country's law you agreed to, or where you would have to sue. Its complaints policy calls the same company a Saint Vincent firm, and its privacy policy gives a third address.

Exhibit 3CriticalRarely seen2

Clause Table of Definitions and Interpretations in TRADEWILL GLOBAL LLC Client Service Agreement, p.4
Read from the broker's site on Open the reference

Our readingA client agreement that misstates the country where its own company is registered is not a drafting style, it is an error nobody corrected. The country decides which law governs the contract and which court hears a dispute, and this document set gives two answers.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 7With no governing law clause and no independent complaints scheme, a dispute has no agreed forum and no regulator to escalate to.
  • Worse together with Exhibit 11The homepage advertises a Seychelles licence in five languages while the Saint Vincent company publishes its own parallel contract.
04

If Trade W decides you exploited a pricing error, clause 3.13 lets it take back trading profits you already made, going back over your whole time as a client. Clause 3.10 lets it cancel or unwind trades at its absolute discretion where your trading style looks to it like a breach.

Why this matters

Profit in your account is not settled. Clause 3.10 reaches trades that are already closed, and it works on suspected or potential breach, so Trade W does not have to show you broke anything.

Exhibit 4CriticalHarder than usual

Clause 3.13 in TRADEWILL GLOBAL LLC Client Service Agreement, p.17
Read from the broker's site on Open the reference

What it costsClause 3.13 puts no time limit on the clawback. Profit made in your first month is still reachable in your third year.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 5Trade W decides the breach under clause 3.10 and can then treat the same judgement as a default under clause 17.4 and sell what you hold without notice.
05

Clause 17.4 lists what counts as a default, and the last item is Trade W deciding it needs to protect itself or its associates. Once it decides that, clause 17.5 lets it sell your assets without any notice or court order, though it must give 7 days before a sale unless a quicker one limits a loss.

Why this matters

You have not missed a payment and you have not broken a rule. Trade W's own view that it needs protecting is enough to start selling what you hold, and clause 17.6 says it owes you nothing for the consequences.

Exhibit 5CriticalHarder than usual7 days

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), ASIC (Australia)

Firms licensed by the FCA and ASIC must treat clients fairly when closing positions and be able to justify the grounds. This contract makes the firm's own sense of its interests a ground of default in its own right.

Trade W is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

One Seychelles licence sells two companies in five languages

Trade W advertises Seychelles licence SD111 on its English, Indonesian, Portuguese, Thai and Chinese homepages. That licence belongs to Tradewill Global Limited. The group's other company, Tradewill Global LLC in Saint Vincent, publishes its own parallel set of seven contracts and holds no licence, and no page says which company a new client is signed to.

Language arbitrage1 clause flagged

Every language version of the Trade W homepage advertises the same Seychelles licence, SD111. That licence belongs to Tradewill Global Limited. Tradewill Global LLC, the Saint Vincent company, publishes its own parallel set of seven contracts and holds no licence.

Why this matters

A reader in Jakarta, Bangkok or Hong Kong is told the broker is licensed before being asked to open an account. Nothing on the site tells you which of the two companies you will be signed to.

TRADEWILL is the approved business name of Tradewill Global Limited for its operations in Seychelles.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 3The unlicensed company's own agreement then describes it as a Seychelles firm, which is where the licensed one is.

Trade W can call a default because it decided it needs protecting

Clause 17.4 of the Trade W client agreement makes it an event of default if the firm reasonably considers action necessary for its own protection. Clause 17.5 then lets it sell your collateral without any notice or court order, subject to a 7 day notice period that drops away if a quicker sale limits a loss. The list of countries Trade W refuses also grew this year from four to nine plus Europe.

Exit conditions1 clause flagged

In March 2026 Trade W turned away residents of four countries. Today the list adds the United Kingdom, Europe, North Korea, Myanmar and Russia, and the word including means the list is no longer complete.

Why this matters

If you opened an account in Europe or the United Kingdom under the old wording, you now sit outside the group Trade W says it serves. The open ended wording lets Trade W add your country later without changing the page.

Exhibit 15WarningHarder than usualNew

The aforementioned entities do not offer services to residents of certain jurisdictions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Myanmar, Russia, Israel and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Trade W settles your complaint and no one else reviews it

Clause 7.4 treats every statement Trade W sends as conclusive unless you object immediately, with no period stated. If a complaint is rejected, clause 25.3 and the Complaints Handling Policy both send you to a court or a paid arbitration body, and neither names an independent ombudsman or a compensation scheme. The two documents also give different response deadlines, 7 business days against 5 and 15 working days.

Challenging a decision2 clauses flagged

Every document Trade W sends you is treated as conclusive unless you write back to object, and clause 7.4 says you must do that immediately after receiving it. The contract puts no number on immediately.

In plain words

A manifest error means an obvious mistake by the broker.

Why this matters

Spot a wrong charge a week later and Trade W can say the statement was already settled. Clause 7.3 treats an email as received the moment Trade W sends it, whether or not it reached you.

Exhibit 6WarningHarder than usual

Such documents shall, in the absence of manifest error, be deemed conclusive unless the Customer notifies the Company in writing to the contrary immediately after having received such document.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus)

Firms licensed by the FCA and CySEC must give retail clients a reasonable period to query a statement and cannot treat silence as agreement to an error. This clause sets no period at all.

Trade W is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

If Trade W rejects your complaint, your only route is a court or an arbitration body you pay for yourself. No independent scheme is named. The documents also disagree on timing: clause 25.3 promises a reply in 7 business days, while the Complaints Handling Policy promises 5 working days to acknowledge and 15 working days for an outcome.

Why this matters

Trade W decides your complaint and nobody reviews that decision for free. Suing a Saint Vincent company from where you live costs more than most disputed balances.

Exhibit 7NoticeStandard wording

The Company has seven (7) business days to respond to any formal complaints or disputes lodged. If you are unhappy with the final verdict of the compliance department, the case can be escalated local court or arbitration institution.

No withdrawal until the paperwork is accepted

Trade W's AML policy sets no deadline for sending verification documents but makes them an obligatory requirement before any withdrawal, and promises a review within 24 hours. A separate clause lets Trade W freeze an account where it believes fraud may be involved. The privacy policy, last updated in November 2021, routes data deletion requests to an address containing a space that cannot receive mail.

Documents and data2 clauses flagged

Trade W sets no deadline for sending your verification documents, but its AML policy makes them a requirement before you can withdraw anything. It promises to review what you send within 24 hours.

Why this matters

Your money stays in place until Trade W accepts your paperwork, and the policy sets no limit on how many times it can ask for more. A separate clause lets it freeze an account on belief alone.

Exhibit 13WarningHarder than usual

Trade W profits from your trades and can lend out what you deposit

Clause 12.5 of the Trade W client agreement lets the firm hold its own position to make trading profits, and clause 12.6 accepts those positions may run against yours. Clause 5.8 lets Trade W lend your deposited assets to a third party with your consent, and clause 5.9 removes any duty to hand you the income.

On currencies and CFDs Trade W is the one selling to you, not a broker passing your order to a market. Clause 12.5 lets it keep a position of its own to make trading profits, and clause 12.6 says those positions may be contrary to yours.

Why this matters

When you lose on a trade, the other side of it may be Trade W. Clause 12.8 says the profits it makes this way can be large compared with the margin you put up.

Set against a regulated standard: FCA (UK), ASIC (Australia)

Firms licensed by the FCA and ASIC must hold retail client money separately from their own, and may only use client assets this way under strict, separately evidenced consent. This agreement contains no clause about holding client money separately at all.

Trade W is not licensed by these regulators, so this is a comparison of practice, not a finding of any breach.

  • Worse together with Exhibit 10Assets that can be lent to a third party, in a contract that never promises to keep your money separate, have no stated protection if Trade W fails.

Nothing in 55 pages keeps your money separate from Trade W's

The Tradewill Global LLC client agreement never uses the word segregated and never mentions negative balance protection. Its risk statement says you are liable for any resulting loss or deficit if a position is closed against you. It names no compensation scheme, and points you to the law of whichever country its counterparty sits in.

In plain words

Negative balance protection is a limit that stops you owing more than you put in. Without it, one fast market move can leave you owing the broker money on top of your deposit.

On a principal basis, as your counterparty, means the broker takes the other side of your trade itself. Your loss is then the firm’s gain, so it has an interest in how your trade ends.

What is not promised1 clause flagged

The word segregated does not appear anywhere in the 55 page client agreement, and neither does negative balance protection. If a loss takes your account below zero, the risk statement says you owe the difference.

Why this matters

You can end up owing Trade W more than you put in. If the company fails, the contract names no scheme that pays you back and points you to the law of wherever its counterparty sits.

Clause 4.12 lets Trade W archive or disable an account after 90 calendar days with no activity, but only where the balance is 10 euros or less. Trade W says you may open a new account and transfer any archived balance across. No monthly holding fee appears anywhere in the agreement.

Who the contract is with

Tradewill Global LLC

Two companies trade as Trade W, and each publishes its own full set of seven legal documents. Tradewill Global Limited is registered in Seychelles and holds Securities Dealer licence SD111. Tradewill Global LLC is registered in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines under number 1365 LLC 2021 and holds no licence. The LLC is the company on our record, and its own documents disagree about where it is. Its client agreement calls it a company formed in the Republic of Seychelles. Its complaints policy and conflict of interest policy both call it a Saint Vincent company. Its privacy policy gives a third address, on Hinds Building in Kingstown, while the website footer gives Euro House on Richmond Hill Road. No published page says which company a new client contracts with.

Quotations are copied verbatim from the documents named above, with the clause number and the page each one came from. Where a clause is quoted in another language, the original is shown first and the English is a translation.

The plain-language parts, what a clause means for a client, how ordinary it is, and how it reads against a regulated standard, are WIKILIX's analysis and are labelled as such on every card. This is a reading of public documents, not legal advice and not an allegation of wrongdoing.

In fairness, and what we could not check

A reader who knows the edges of the work can trust the middle of it

Trade W publishes a lot, and publishes it openly. Fourteen legal documents sit on one page, free to download, with a full set for each of the two companies in the group. The Complaints Handling Policy commits to real deadlines: 5 working days to acknowledge a complaint and 15 working days to give an outcome. Section 12 of the client agreement is unusually honest, telling you in plain words that Trade W profits from spreads you cannot see and may hold positions against you. Most brokers leave that out. The dormancy rule is mild: an account is only archived if it has been idle 90 days and holds 10 euros or less, and you can move the balance to a new account.

We read the Tradewill Global LLC client agreement in full, all 55 pages, and every clause we quote from it comes from the copy published at tradewill.com/legal. We read parts of the LLC complaints, conflict of interest, best execution, risk disclosure, cost and charges and privacy documents, enough to check the clauses cited here. Of the seven documents published for the sister company, Tradewill Global Limited, we read only its client agreement, which we compared against the LLC version. We could not establish which of the two companies a new client is signed to. No published page answers that, and it is settled inside the registration process.

How to check any of this yourself

Every quote above links to the Trade W file it came from. This is what to do with it.

Open the three stepsFind the words in the source, work out the fingerprint, and read what a difference does and does not prove.

Open the source and search for the words

Every quote has a link under it. Open the file, or the web page, and search it for the words we quote. The clause number next to the quote tells you where to look.

If the words are not there any more, the source may have changed after we read it. That is worth knowing too. We keep the date we read it, and a code worked out from its wording, so the quote stays checkable.

What a fingerprint is

A fingerprint is a code worked out from what a source says. Change one word and the code changes completely. We keep two codes for every file we read, and the panel on each source shows both.

The first is the code of the exact file we downloaded. The second is the code of its wording alone, with capital letters lowered and runs of spaces collapsed. When the same words are saved as a new file, the first code changes and the second one stays the same.

Only the first code can be worked out on your own computer. Save the file, then run one of these, putting the name of the file you saved where the example is. The panel on each source prints the command with that source's real file name already in it.

macOS or Linux:
  shasum -a 256 the-file-you-saved.pdf

Windows:
  certutil -hashfile the-file-you-saved.pdf SHA256

The two codes are different from each other, and they are not meant to match. Comparing one against the other proves nothing.

What a difference means, and what it does not

A different file code on its own proves nothing. A PDF saved again with a new date inside it is a new file saying exactly the same thing.

A different wording code means the words themselves changed. That is the one that matters, and it is why we keep it.

Even then, a change is not proof of bad faith. Companies update their documents. What this report says is what the document said on the day we read it, and every quote carries that date.

A source that is a web page and not a file has no file to save, so only the code of its wording is shown.

How this report is made

Every clause quoted above comes from a document Trade W publishes on its own website, downloaded and hashed on the date shown, with the clause number and page recorded so any reader can check it. We do not allege anything the documents do not say, and we do not judge Trade W on anything other than its own published terms and its own public marketing. Where a clause has a qualifier that softens it, the report says so. Last read Sep 29, 2026.

If you represent Trade W and a clause has changed, been withdrawn, or is being read out of context, tell us and we will re-read the documents and update this page. Corrections from the broker are welcome and are published with the reading they change. Contact us.

This is a reading of a contract, not legal advice and not a ruling on Trade W. Whether its licence is real and current is a separate check on the broker profile.
