Independent safety report

Is Trade W a scam?

High risk (unverified)MEDIUM confidence
Offshore-licensed broker with unresolved fund-access complaints

Not proven to be a scam, but not safe either. Trade W holds a genuine Seychelles licence, listed on the regulator's own register, yet its conduct record carries real problems, so we rate it high risk rather than clean.

  • The Seychelles FSA register lists Tradewill Global Limited as a licensed Securities Dealer and records the website as tradewill.com and the trading names TRADEWILL and Trade W. The licence is real and it belongs to this operation, not to someone else.
  • Seychelles is a low-tier offshore regulator. There is no investor compensation scheme and no tier-1 cover, and the second group company in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines holds no financial licence at all.
  • Trustpilot has withdrawn this company's rating for a breach of its guidelines and says it removed a number of fake reviews.
  • Clients describe deposits funded but never credited, and withdrawal requests left unpaid for more than a week, with account numbers, amounts and dates attached.
  • No regulator warning list names tradewill.com, and we found no court or enforcement record of fraud against the licensed entity.

Regulation

6/10 · High

A genuine Seychelles FSA Securities Dealer licence, SD111, confirmed on the regulator's own register with the website and trading names matching, but offshore and low-tier with no compensation scheme, and the Saint Vincent group company is unlicensed.

Identity & transparency

4/10 · Moderate

Both legal entities, registration numbers and addresses are disclosed and the contact-page address matches the register exactly; against that, the footer gives a different registered address, the stated address has changed three times in under two years and no owners or directors are named.

Withdrawals & conduct

7/10 · High

A fund-integrity pattern meeting all four tests, same failure, clustered, multi-platform and checkable, with account numbers and dates, tempered by credible successful payouts and a company that answers and escalates complaints in public.

Reputation

7/10 · High

Trustpilot has withdrawn the rating for a guideline breach and removed fake reviews, and the distribution is bimodal across 1,839 entries; no regulator warning list names the domain.

Website claims

7/10 · High

A 2016 copyright and a claim of over eight years against a brokerage evidenced from about 2021, unverifiable headline figures of six million users and 70 billion dollars monthly volume, award-mill badges, and a bonus advertised in terms clients found materially different from the conditions.

Operational history

6/10 · High

About five years of evidenced operation on a domain registered in 2009 that carried a holding page until 2018, with a brand change from TradeWill to Trade W along the way.

Who they are

A quick desk file on the company behind the brand.

  • Brand: Trade W, previously branded TradeWill, on the same website.
  • Legal entity: Tradewill Global Limited, Seychelles, registration 8430716-1, is the licence holder. Tradewill Global LLC, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, registration 1365 LLC 2021, also trades under the brand.
  • Registered: Room 3, Attic Suites, 3rd Floor, Oliver Maradan Building, Victoria, Mahe, Seychelles, as shown on the regulator's register and on the broker's own contact page. The site footer instead gives Office 12, 3rd Floor, IMAD Complex, Ile Du Port.
  • Website: tradewill.com, with tradewill-global.com and red.tradewill.trade also in use.
  • Only licence: Seychelles FSA Securities Dealer licence SD111.
  • Offers: CFDs on forex, metals, indices, shares, crypto and oil through MT4, MT5, a web platform and mobile apps, with leverage up to 1:500 and a minimum deposit advertised from a few dollars.
  • Not accepted: United States, United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, North Korea, Myanmar, Russia, Israel and Iran.
  • Age claim: the site carries a 2016 copyright line and a company profile claiming over eight years in the industry. The evidence supports a brokerage operating from about 2021.

Proof of regulation on an official register: Yes

We confirmed this broker on a genuine regulator’s register.

Licences the broker publishes

Seychelles Financial Services Authority (FSA)

VerifiedTier 3Limited relevance
A Securities Dealer licence, the Seychelles permission to deal in securities and derivatives as principal. It is a real trading licence, but Seychelles is a low-tier offshore jurisdiction with no investor compensation scheme and no ombudsman, so it does not protect client deposits the way a United Kingdom, Australian or European licence does.
Protection: Low. Supervision exists but there is no compensation scheme, no statutory client-money guarantee and no independent dispute service.Official register

Registrar of Limited Liability Companies, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

VerifiedNot a forex licenceLimited relevance
A company registration, not financial regulation. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines does not license or supervise forex and CFD brokers, so this number confirms only that the company exists on paper.
Protection: None. A registration number gives a client no supervision, no capital requirement and no recourse.
Found by our investigation (1) — the broker does not list these on its own site

Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) authorised-representative number

Found by us — not listed by the broker

UnverifiedNot a forex licence
An authorised-representative reference, which is an appointment under another firm's Australian Financial Services licence rather than a licence of its own. The broker does not advertise it, and it is associated with the Australian company Tradewill Global Pty Limited, which is in liquidation.
Protection: None established. An appointment is not a licence, and the associated Australian company has been wound up.

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

Two things are true at once here, and the score reflects both.

  • The licence checks out, and that matters. The Seychelles FSA Securities Dealer register lists Tradewill Global Limited with the trading names TRADEWILL and Trade W, the telephone number +248 4224249 and the website https://www.tradewill.com. Name, domain and contact details all match the operation we examined. That rules out the most common failure in this sector, a broker wearing another firm's licence.
  • But a Seychelles dealer licence is thin protection. There is no compensation scheme behind it and no tier-1 oversight. The group's second company, Tradewill Global LLC in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, carries only a company registration. Saint Vincent does not license or supervise forex brokers, so that registration gives a client nothing.
  • Trustpilot has stripped the company's rating. The page for tradewill.com carries a guideline-breach notice stating that a number of fake reviews were removed. Across 1,839 reviews the spread is 66 per cent five-star against 16 per cent one-star with a thin middle, and many of the five-star entries are marked as invited. A platform finding of review manipulation is not a neutral fact.
  • The money complaints are specific enough to take seriously. They describe one recurring failure, money not reaching the client. Examples carry checkable detail: account 7918226 with two 500 dollar withdrawals failed on 8 May 2026 and a 750 dollar negative-balance loss on 11 May 2026; 23,000 rupees deposited on 22 April 2026 and never credited; a withdrawal still unpaid eight days after the request; and a 698 dollar deposit refused at withdrawal in September 2024, after which the client reported being pressured over WhatsApp. These appear on more than one platform, they describe the same mechanism and they are checkable, so we treat the pattern as established rather than as noise.
  • A separate strand concerns the payment rails. Several clients in India report that money withdrawn from Trade W later attracted cyber-fraud complaints against their own bank accounts, leading to liens and frozen accounts between April and May 2026, with one user describing about nine such complaints. The cause is unknown, but it points at the channels used to pay clients out.
  • An Australian company of almost the same name was shut down by a court. Tradewill Global Pty Limited, ACN 653 239 500, went into provisional liquidation on 1 November 2024 and was wound up by the Federal Court of Australia in April 2025, one of 95 companies ASIC moved against and described as associated with suspected foreign-exchange and digital-asset investment scams. ASIC recorded that the person named as its director never consented to the role. Third-party records also associate an Australian authorised-representative number, 001292696, with this brand. We could not tie that company to Tradewill Global Limited on any official record, and the broker makes no Australian regulatory claim, so we have not scored it as this operation's own history. It is reported because the name is near identical and a reader deserves to know.
  • The advertised history does not match the record. The domain tradewill.com dates from 2009, but it was a holding page in Chinese as late as March 2018 and the brokerage appears from around 2021. A 2016 copyright and a claim of over eight years overstate that by several years.
  • What we did not find also counts. No regulator warning list names tradewill.com or Tradewill Global Limited. No enforcement action and no court record of fraud names the licensed entity. There is no advance-fee pattern, meaning nobody reported being told to pay a tax or a release fee to get their money out, which is the single worst sign in this field and it is absent here.

Taken together: a verified identity and a real but weak licence, set against confirmed review manipulation and a credible pattern of clients not getting their money. That is not enough to call a scam, and it is well short of clean.

Evidence ledger

Every finding, with its source and how strongly it points.

9 against4 in favour
  • E1The Seychelles FSA Securities Dealer register lists Tradewill Global Limited with the trading names TRADEWILL and Trade W, telephone +248 4224249, the address Room 3, Attic Suites, 3rd Floor, Oliver Maradan Building, Victoria, Mahe, and the website https://www.tradewill.com. Name, domain and contacts all match Trade W, so the licence belongs to this broker and not to a clone.

  • E2Trustpilot's page for tradewill.com states that the company's rating is unavailable due to a breach of its guidelines and that a number of fake reviews were removed. Across 1,839 reviews the distribution is 66 per cent five-star, 9 per cent four-star, 6 per cent three-star, 3 per cent two-star and 16 per cent one-star, with many five-star entries marked as invited.

  • E3One-star reviews describe a single recurring failure, money not reaching the client, with checkable detail: account 7918226 with two 500 dollar withdrawals failed on 8 May 2026 and a 750 dollar negative-balance loss on 11 May 2026; 23,000 rupees deposited on 22 April 2026 and never credited; 4,750 rupees deposited and not received; and a withdrawal still unpaid eight days after the request.

  • E4An investor report from September 2024 describes a 698 dollar deposit, a withdrawal request refused with the funds said to be confiscated, and subsequent pressure by telephone and WhatsApp from an individual using an Indian mobile number. This is a second platform describing the same fund-access failure.

  • E5Tradewill Global Pty Limited, ACN 653 239 500, an Australian company of almost the same name, was placed in provisional liquidation on 1 November 2024 with Catherine Conneely and Thomas Birch of Cor Cordis appointed joint provisional liquidators. We could not tie this company to Tradewill Global Limited on any official record, and the broker makes no Australian regulatory claim.

  • E6ASIC obtained Federal Court orders in April 2025 winding up 95 companies, Tradewill Global Pty Limited among them, which the regulator described as associated with suspected scams involving foreign exchange, digital assets and commodities, and in some cases incorporated using stolen identities. Attribution of that company to this broker is unresolved.

  • E7The Vanuatu VFSC Financial Dealers Licensee List returns no match for Tradewill, for Trade W or for the number 001292696. There is no Vanuatu dealer licence behind this brand, and the number in question is an Australian authorised-representative reference rather than a Vanuatu one.

  • E8The domain tradewill.com was created on 4 April 2009 and last changed on 29 January 2026, registered through GoDaddy and served from Cloudflare nameservers. The age of the address alone does not evidence an equally long brokerage.

  • E9An archived copy of tradewill.com from 24 March 2018 shows a holding page headed Coming Soon in Chinese, with no brokerage content. The site carried no trading operation at the point the current copyright line implies one existed.

  • E10The homepage carries the copyright line 2016 to 2026, advertises 6 million active users, 13 million downloads and 70 billion dollars in monthly trading volume, and states that it is licensed by the Seychelles FSA under SD111. No figure behind the user and volume claims is substantiated anywhere, and the page publishes no link to the regulator's register.

  • E11The site footer gives the registered address as Office 12, 3rd Floor, IMAD Complex, Ile Du Port, while the contact page and the regulator's register both give Room 3, Attic Suites, 3rd Floor, Oliver Maradan Building, Victoria. An archived copy from January 2025 gave a third address at Providence Complex.

  • E12The legal statement names both operating companies with their registration numbers and addresses, and identifies TRADEWILL as the approved business name of Tradewill Global Limited in Seychelles. The disclosure is open and matches the regulator's record of the licensee.

  • E13No warning, alert or blacklist entry naming tradewill.com or Tradewill Global Limited appears on the international alert aggregator or on the United Kingdom, United States, Australian, Singaporean, Hong Kong, German or Italian regulator lists. Published United Kingdom warnings for TradeWell at tradewell.today and for Trade WL concern different firms with different websites.

  • E14Several clients in India report that funds withdrawn from Trade W later attracted cyber-fraud complaints against their own bank accounts, producing liens and frozen accounts between April and May 2026, with one user describing roughly nine such complaints and another reporting relatives' accounts also placed under lien.

  • E15The company replies publicly to one-star reviews, offers a named escalation route and, in one documented case, refunded one of two disputed complaint-linked amounts and confirmed a further 60 dollars as pending after review. An operation intending to keep client money does not usually engage this way.

  • E16The alias domain tradewill-global.com was created on 2 April 2024 and resolves through the same pair of Cloudflare nameservers as tradewill.com, confirming common control of the group's addresses.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

The case for Trade W being a legitimate, if aggressive, offshore broker is genuinely substantial.

  • The licence is real and it is theirs. The Seychelles regulator's own register records the website and the trading names, which is a stronger match than many offshore registers can even support.
  • No regulator anywhere warns against this domain. That covers the international alert aggregator and the UK, US, Australian, Singaporean, Hong Kong, German and Italian lists. The UK warnings for TradeWell and Trade WL are different firms with different websites and are not relevant to this broker.
  • The company answers its critics in public. It replies to one-star reviews, escalates cases and in at least one documented instance refunded part of a disputed amount and confirmed a further sum under review. Operations that intend to keep client money generally do not do this.
  • The trading infrastructure is real: MT4 and MT5, a named trading server, published apps and ordinary market pricing. This is not a simulated platform with invented quotes.
  • Both legal entities are disclosed by name, registration number and address, and the contact-page address matches the regulator's register exactly. Many of the worst operators disclose nothing.
  • A large share of the complaint volume is about speed and bonus terms rather than lost money. Slow payouts, a 175 dollar per-transaction withdrawal cap and a confusing bonus are poor service, not theft, and they should not be counted as if they were.
  • The Australian wind-up may well be someone else's doing. ASIC's sweep targeted shells registered with stolen identities, and scammers routinely incorporate companies named after apps they are promoting. If that is what happened, Trade W is a victim of the name rather than the author of it.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

Specific things would move this verdict in either direction.

  • Towards safer: Trustpilot restoring the rating after the review manipulation is resolved, and the one-star share falling as paid-out withdrawals replace the current complaints.
  • Towards safer: the broker publishing a direct verification link to its entry on the Seychelles FSA register, and aligning the registered address in its footer with the address the regulator holds.
  • Towards safer: the broker correcting its 2016 copyright and its claim of over eight years to the period it can actually evidence, and substantiating the six million users and 70 billion dollars of monthly volume.
  • Towards safer: a clear public account of why withdrawals paid to Indian clients attracted cyber-fraud complaints against those clients' bank accounts, and evidence that the payment channel has changed.
  • Towards worse: any regulator adding tradewill.com to a warning or alert list.
  • Towards worse: the Seychelles FSA suspending, cancelling or failing to renew Securities Dealer licence SD111.
  • Towards worse: a documented demand that a client pay a tax, fee or further deposit before funds are released. One credible, specific instance of that would change the verdict immediately.
  • Towards worse: an official record linking Tradewill Global Limited to Tradewill Global Pty Limited, the Australian company wound up on ASIC's application.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

13 questions
Is Trade W a scam?

We did not find proof that Trade W is a scam, but we rate it high risk. Its Seychelles licence is genuine and appears on the regulator's register. Against that, Trustpilot has withdrawn the company's rating for fake reviews, and clients describe deposits not credited and withdrawals left unpaid.

Is Trade W a fraud?

No regulator or court has made a finding of fraud against Tradewill Global Limited. There is no warning-list entry for tradewill.com, no enforcement action and no fraud-related court record naming the licensed entity. What exists is a pattern of client reports that money did not come back, which we assess as a serious risk rather than a proven offence.

Is Trade W regulated?

Yes, but only lightly. Tradewill Global Limited holds Securities Dealer licence SD111 from the Seychelles Financial Services Authority, and the register records tradewill.com as its website. Seychelles is a low-tier offshore regulator with no investor compensation scheme. The group's Saint Vincent company holds no financial licence.

Can I withdraw my money from Trade W?

Many clients do, and the company publicly replies to those who cannot. However, a recurring group of reports describes withdrawals unpaid beyond a week and deposits never credited, some with account numbers and dates. Withdraw a small test amount in full before you commit more.

Is my money safe with Trade W?

There is no compensation scheme. A Seychelles Securities Dealer licence does not guarantee your deposit, and if the firm fails or refuses to pay there is no fund to reimburse you. Treat anything you deposit as fully at risk.

Who owns Trade W?

The brand is run by Tradewill Global Limited, registered in Seychelles under number 8430716-1, with a second company, Tradewill Global LLC, registered in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines under number 1365 LLC 2021. The site does not name its directors or beneficial owners.

How old is Trade W?

The website address dates from 2009, but it was a holding page as late as March 2018 and the brokerage appears from around 2021, which makes the operation roughly five years old. The site's 2016 copyright line and its claim of over eight years in the industry overstate that.

What is a Seychelles FSA licence worth to me as a client?

It confirms the company exists, is registered and is subject to some supervision, which is better than nothing. It does not give you a compensation scheme, an ombudsman or the capital and conduct rules that apply in the United Kingdom, Europe or Australia. Treat it as a basic check, not as protection.

Is Trade W a clone of another broker?

No. The licence matches this firm on all three points. The regulator's register names Tradewill Global Limited, records the trading names TRADEWILL and Trade W, and lists tradewill.com as the website. The licence belongs to this operation and not to a different company.

Why was an Australian company called Tradewill Global Pty Limited shut down?

The Federal Court of Australia wound it up in April 2025 on ASIC's application, as one of 95 companies the regulator linked to suspected foreign-exchange and digital-asset investment scams. ASIC recorded that the named director never consented to the role. No official record shows whether that company was connected to the Seychelles broker, and Trade W makes no Australian regulatory claim.

Why has Trustpilot removed the Trade W rating?

Trustpilot's page for tradewill.com carries a notice that the rating is unavailable due to a breach of its guidelines, and states that a number of fake reviews were removed. That is Trustpilot's own finding, which means the headline score you may see quoted elsewhere should not be relied on.

What should I do if Trade W will not release my funds?

Put the complaint in writing with your account number, amounts and dates, and keep every receipt and ticket reference. Escalate to the Seychelles Financial Services Authority naming licence SD111. Report it to your local police or cyber-crime unit and to your bank or card issuer, since a chargeback may still be possible. Never pay a fee to recover money, and ignore anyone who contacts you offering to get it back for an upfront payment.

What should I check before depositing with any offshore broker?

Find the licence number on the regulator's own register, not on the broker's website, and confirm the register lists the same company and the same web address. Check whether a compensation scheme exists. Read the bonus and withdrawal terms before funding. Then test a small deposit and a full withdrawal before you trust it with more.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

Treat Trade W as a high-risk offshore venue and size your exposure accordingly.

  • Do not deposit money you cannot afford to lose, and do not treat the Seychelles licence as protection. There is no compensation scheme and no ombudsman behind it.
  • Test the exit before you commit. Deposit a small amount, trade briefly, then withdraw all of it and confirm the money actually arrives before adding more.
  • Check which company you are contracting with at sign-up. The Saint Vincent entity holds no financial licence; only the Seychelles company is supervised.
  • Avoid the deposit bonus unless you have read the volume conditions. Clients report that the advertised bonus cannot be used as trading margin and is released only against traded volume.
  • Keep records: deposit receipts, withdrawal request timestamps, ticket numbers and any account-manager correspondence. The complaints that get resolved are the documented ones.
  • If money is withheld, raise a formal complaint with the Seychelles Financial Services Authority naming licence SD111, and keep escalating in writing rather than through chat.
  • Never pay an additional fee, tax or deposit to release a withdrawal. No legitimate broker requires that, and no one should be asked for it.
  • If you are in the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States, Canada or Australia, this broker does not accept you, and a locally regulated alternative gives you protections this one cannot.

This is an independent assessment of risk, not a legal ruling. Scores and verdicts follow the Wikilix broker-safety methodology and can change as new evidence appears.
