Independent safety report

Is Trader’s Way a scam?

High risk (unverified)MEDIUM confidence
Unregulated offshore broker

Trader's Way is not a scam in the theft sense, but it is an unregulated offshore broker that trades with no financial licence anywhere, and two regulators have publicly warned against it. It is a genuine, long-running operation, so the risk here is the lack of any safety net, not proven fraud.

  • The operator is TW Corp LLC, registered in Anguilla (company number A000001731), with an operating office in Serbia. Anguilla registration is a company filing, not financial regulation.
  • We found no licence from any recognised financial regulator. The website itself names no regulator and no licence number.
  • Spain's CNMV publicly warned against 'Traders Way' on 2 December 2019, and Malaysia's Securities Commission lists it on its Investor Alert List.
  • The site has run since about 2011 (domain registered December 2010). Public reviews are mostly positive, and several long-term clients report withdrawals that work.
  • There is no client-money protection, no compensation scheme, and leverage up to 1:1000. If funds go missing, you have little recourse.

Risk scorecard

Each area is scored 0 (clean) to 10 (worst). Higher means more risk.

Worst area: High
SeverityLowModerateHighCritical

Regulation

7/10 · High

No licence from any recognised regulator while taking deposits, plus warning-list entries from Spain's CNMV and Malaysia's SC. Only an Anguilla company registration, which is not regulation.

Identity & transparency

4/10 · Moderate

Discloses a real legal entity (TW Corp LLC), a company number and both registered and operating addresses, consistent across sources, but oversight is an unverifiable offshore jurisdiction.

Withdrawals & conduct

4/10 · Moderate

Net-positive reviews with long-term clients reporting successful payouts; complaints are mostly service delays plus isolated fund-access reports that do not form a confirmed pattern.

Reputation

6/10 · High

Two live regulator warnings weigh against an otherwise mixed-to-positive public review picture (Trustpilot around 4.7 with a minority of one-star complaints).

Website claims

3/10 · Low

The site makes no false licence claim and names no fake regulator. The 'since 2011' age claim is consistent with a 2010 domain. Main concern is high leverage and no negative-balance protection.

Operational history

2/10 · Low

Genuinely long-running: domain registered December 2010 and clients reporting use since 2014. Company incorporation date could not be dated, so this rests on the domain leg as an upper bound.

A company registration (number A000001731) for TW Corp LLC. It records that the company exists; it is not a financial services or forex licence and provides no client-money protection.
Protection: None. A company registration does not supervise the broker or protect deposits.

Why we reached this verdict

How the evidence adds up.

We rated this High Risk because the operation is real and old, but has no regulatory safety net and carries live regulator warnings.

  • No regulation at all. We checked the broker's own site and independent reviews. It holds no licence from any recognised authority. The only registration is a company filing in Anguilla, which does not supervise or protect client money.
  • Two regulator warnings. We confirmed on the CNMV's own public warning register that Spain listed 'Traders Way' as an unauthorised firm on 2 December 2019. Malaysia's Securities Commission separately places it on its Investor Alert List. Both mean the firm solicits clients where it is not authorised.
  • But it is a functioning broker, not a clone or a boiler room. The domain dates to 2010, the platforms (MT4, MT5, cTrader) are real and third-party verifiable, and public reviews include long-term clients reporting successful withdrawals. We found no impersonation of a regulated firm and no confirmed pattern of stolen funds.
  • Complaints exist (slow withdrawals, one report of being asked to pay more before a payout, unauthorised trades on a compromised account) but they are isolated and do not form a confirmed fund-theft pattern.

Note on operating history: the 15.7-year track record rests on domain registration alone. No company incorporation date could be established, so this is an upper bound rather than a confirmed age.

Evidence ledger

Every finding, with its source and how strongly it points.

3 against2 in favour
  • E1The broker's own footer names TW Corp LLC, company number A000001731, registered in Anguilla, operating from Serbia, and states 'since 2011'. No regulator or licence number is claimed anywhere on the site.

  • E2Spain's CNMV public warning register returns 'TRADERS WAY' as an unauthorised firm, warning dated 2 December 2019. This is a regulator-attested finding of unauthorised solicitation.

  • E3Malaysia's Securities Commission includes Traders Way on its Investor Alert List of entities not authorised to provide capital market services in Malaysia.

  • E4Domain tradersway.com was registered on 13 December 2010, corroborating the 'since 2011' claim and establishing a genuine ~15-year operating history on the domain leg.

  • E5Public reviews are net positive (around 4.7 with a 15% one-star minority). Multiple long-term clients report working deposits and withdrawals; negative reports centre on delays and isolated account issues, not a systematic fund-theft pattern.

  • E6Independent broker reviews confirm no regulatory licence and an Anguilla / TW Corp LLC (registration A000001731) structure, with operations in Serbia and no negative-balance protection.

The other side

The strongest case in this broker’s favour.

In fairness to Trader's Way, several points cut in its favour.

  • It has operated openly under one brand for roughly 15 years, which most scams never manage.
  • It discloses a real legal entity, a company number, and both a registered and an operating address, rather than hiding behind anonymity.
  • Its trading platforms are mainstream and independently checkable, and its pricing model (ECN/STP) is a normal one.
  • Public reviews are net positive, and multiple long-standing customers say deposits and withdrawals work.
  • The Spanish and Malaysian warnings are the standard 'not authorised here' notices that apply to essentially every offshore-only broker soliciting in those countries. They are not fraud findings.

What would change this

What we would need to see to revise the verdict.

Our view would move if the facts changed.

  • Toward safer: if Trader's Way obtained and we could verify a licence from a recognised regulator (for example FCA, ASIC or CySEC) on that regulator's own register.
  • Toward scam: a clear, repeated pattern of refused or reversed withdrawals across several platforms, or credible reports of demands for extra 'fees' or 'taxes' before releasing funds.
  • A named enforcement action or a warning naming the exact domain for fraud (not just unauthorised solicitation) would push this to Likely Scam.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about this broker’s safety.

12 questions
Is Trader's Way a scam?

We did not find proof that Trader's Way steals client money. It is a genuine, long-running broker. But it is completely unregulated and two regulators have warned against it, so it is high risk. Your funds are not protected by any authority.

Is Trader's Way regulated?

No. It holds no licence from any recognised financial regulator. Its only registration is a company filing in Anguilla, which is not financial regulation and does not protect client deposits.

Can I withdraw my money from Trader's Way?

Most public reviews, including from long-term clients, say withdrawals work. However there are isolated complaints of delays and one report of being asked to pay more before a payout. There is no regulator to help if a withdrawal is refused.

Is my money safe with Trader's Way?

There is no client-money protection and no compensation scheme, because no regulator oversees the firm. If the company failed or refused to pay, you would have very limited recourse.

Who owns Trader's Way?

The operator is TW Corp LLC, registered in Anguilla with company number A000001731, and it lists an operating office in Serbia.

How old is Trader's Way?

The website says 'since 2011' and the domain was registered in December 2010, so the operation is genuinely about 15 years old. We could not date the TW Corp LLC company itself because the Anguilla registry is not openly searchable.

What is the Anguilla registration worth?

Very little for your protection. It is a normal company registration, not a financial services licence. It does not mean anyone supervises how the broker handles your money.

Is Trader's Way a clone of another broker?

No. We found no evidence it impersonates a regulated firm. It uses its own long-standing brand and domain, and it borrows no other company's licence.

Why did Spain and Malaysia warn about Trader's Way?

Both are 'unauthorised firm' warnings: the broker offers services to residents there without being licensed in those countries. Spain's CNMV listed it on 2 December 2019 and Malaysia's SC includes it on its Investor Alert List.

Does Trader's Way accept US or UK clients?

No. The website states its information is not directed at residents of the United States or the United Kingdom.

What should I check before depositing with Trader's Way?

Remember there is no regulatory protection, keep any balance small, withdraw profits often, and never pay an extra 'fee' or 'tax' to release a withdrawal. Consider a broker licensed by the FCA, ASIC or CySEC instead if safety is your priority.

What do I do if I was scammed by a broker like this?

Stop depositing, gather all records (transactions, chats, statements), report it to your bank or card issuer to attempt a chargeback, and file a report with your national financial regulator or police. Be wary of 'recovery' services that ask for upfront fees, which are usually a second scam.

What we recommend

The practical takeaway from everything above.

Our advice

Treat Trader's Way as high risk and act carefully.

  • Understand that your money is not protected by any financial regulator or compensation scheme.
  • If you already trade here, keep balances small and withdraw profits regularly rather than letting them build up.
  • Prefer a broker licensed by a strong regulator (FCA, ASIC, CySEC) if regulatory protection matters to you.
  • Never send an extra payment to 'unlock' or 'release' a withdrawal. No legitimate broker requires that.
  • Keep records of deposits, trades and withdrawal requests in case you need to dispute a payment.
