Trendo's Persian pages invite Iranian users to deposit in rial, while its contract warns it may not serve countries embargoed by international sanctions. You must confirm you do not live in a restricted country, and Trendo may freeze money linked to an embargoed location.
Why this matters
Iran is under international sanctions, and the contract never says whether Iran counts as embargoed. If Trendo decides it does, the contract already lets it freeze your deposit and close your account.
Exhibit 1Every flagged clause gets its own number so you can point at this one. The number does not change, so a link to it keeps working.CriticalHow much this clause can cost you, in our reading. Critical can take your money or your profit. Warning can delay or limit it. Notice is simply worth knowing before you sign.Standard wordingHow ordinary this wording looks next to the contracts we read. This is our reading of the clause, not a count of other brokers.
This includes (but is not limited to) jurisdictions where offering CFD or forex trading requires a local license that Trendo does not hold at the moment, or countries embargoed by international sanctions.
Our readingOur own comment on the clause, not the broker's words. Anything we quote is marked as a quotation.Sanctions exclusions are ordinary in client agreements. The pairing is not: the Persian pages name Iranian users and the rial, while the English pages and the English contract, which prevails, mention neither. The Persian translation of the contract carries the same sanctions wording.
- Worse together with Exhibit 13Read these two clauses together. Each one costs more because the other exists. You can deposit on light checks, and the full identity check before any withdrawal is where an Iranian address meets the sanctions clause.
